give us some screenshots mate.
Here is landscape mode! Portrait is pretty standard

They keyboard is nice but the themes really blow
I HATE this keyboard, worst I've EVER used...
Even when going through the options and changing them the keyboard app tires me...
when typing sms messages it will add words when starting a sentence, predicting what I'm about to type and it's always wrong. Theres no way to remove this.
Also the spelling correction is even worse and will CHANGE words even when their correct, or simple names of places/people it will change it to something different, it's a NIGHTMARE...

Actually there is.. Go into settings, then advanced, then change "space bar will..." to "complete current word" or "always insert a space". I had some problems with it auto-adding words too at first but these settings helped me. So try that if you want
I've been using SwiftKey for a long time now and for me the autocorrection and word prediction is far better than every other keyboard I've tried. And I've tried loads of them.. Just make sure to download and set your correct language packs and set it to learn from your text messages, gmail, Facebook and so on.

best keyboard ever.
esp. if you use a couple of languages to type.
Thumb Keyboard is very good too, you can choose between different themes and layouts and adjust them.

If thumb keyboard sometime support 2 languages at the sametime it would be the best...
i actually like the ICS keyboard a lot. It has 0 lag.

Have to agree. SwiftKey is superb. Just moved over to note from sensation. The mobile version is smooth and quick on the note.

did you guys notice that the very first keypress after reboot goes silent while every subsequent tap clicks? that annoyed me to no end so i had to switch to another keyboard. or was it just my note?
Is there a way for this app to not use prediction and disable those 3 boxes that shows word choices?

I picked up this keyboard when it was free on the Amazon App Store a while back. It's awesome! You have several different input options:
tap-type
trace (like Swype)
voice (great recognition!)
write (like a stylus)
I use the voice method most, but all of them work really well. And unlike a lot of other aftermarket keyboards, this one has numbers and special characters on long-press (they're shown above the letters).
The only thing I'm missing coming from the stock HTC Sense keyboard is the directional buttons for moving the cursor around text fields - without a trackball, it's kind of a pain to move around by touching. At least this keyboard has a 'pointer' you can drag around, which makes it a little easier.
Any other great keyboards out there?
I'd like a keyboard I could fully customize. I'd love to be able to remove the buttons that I never use and just get in the way (voice button, language button, etc).
I'd also like to force the predictive text to pick the words I want by default. Typing "aren't" always tries to replace it with "seen" grrrr.

Try Gingerbread keyboard. It auto corrects. Plus u can add ur own custom words like cud, wud, etc.
I also got it free from Amazon and have to agree flex t9 is pretty awesome

SwiftKey X is a good one to use too. There's a free beta in the market, and by far the best keyboard I've used

+1
The arrow keys on Gingerbread are hidden but can be brought in by just dragging the spacebar up and hidden by dragging it down, which I like since I hardly use them but still need them every once in a while
Is there a way to make the keyboard default to FlexT9 or Swiftkey or whatever you have installed? It's kind of annoying to have to set it up every time I restart the phone.
Got the Swiftkey X paid keyboard today based on recommendations in forums etc.
I like it, I can see how it could be a lot more accurate than the stock keyboard on my Samsung Galaxy S2. But there seems to be a terrible bug.
On some applications, it doesn't display the top line of the keyboard where the predictive text shows and can be selected. Sort of makes this keyboard a non-starter, wish I could get my money back.
Didn't work in Poynt, Didn't work in the stock brower, which is amazing. There must be some others, I don't have that many applications installed.
Anyone else having this issue? Any known fix?
Thanks
Harry
Have you set it as default keyboard?

Of course. I didn't say that the Swiftkey X keyboard doesn't come up, only that the top line with the prediction info doesn't come up.
SwiftKey won't autocorrect things in poynt. Or browser because you "may" be searching for something like a name of a street or coffee shop that is spelt different. In the browser the address bar is also a search bar. Spelling toysrus would otherwise get you "tosses" that would get old after time. So the suggestion box stays dormant.
I hope this makes sense.

Coming from a Thinkpad tablet with MyScript Stylus, I'm a bit spoiled.
With that app i could have written anywhere where text input was required and it would be converted to text. Is any app or feature on the Gnote 10.1 that can do that?
Ron

Yes you can set the Samsung keyboard to do handwriting recognition for any text field. Hold down the settings button on the left of the spacebar until a "T" pops up. Selecting the T will put it into handwriting recognition mode.

Have a look at my video setting up and demonstrating this type of input method (i think its post #22/32) on the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847817&page=3
There is also a very cheap but very good app on Google play called 7notes that can be used to do this too, if you use their inbuilt notepad app, you can write in cursive and convert to text at a later time or use with any app that requires text input for immediate converting of handwriting to text.

I know, but sometimes you can pick up little nuggets from the relatively painful way the manuals tell you how to do things in the alien language they use...

Even on the TPT 7Notes was my go-to HWR app. Extremely good.
I am glad I read this thread. 7NOTES is an awesome app. Thanks again. This is the only thing that was missing on my Galalxy Note 10.1. NOw I have no regrets giving up my ipad (on which I used NOtes Plus app with inbuilt conversion to typed text).

I too love 7notes as I find that it works extremely well with recognising handwriting that even I can't read! Got a few people to try it and they were amazed.
If the 7notes notepad had drawing ability as well, it would always be my no. 1 go-to app as I would sometimes like to preserve my handwriting with drawings and be able to draw anywhere on the screen. They have not updated the app since release which is a bit disappointing.

I'm sure half the English language manuals in the world are produced through the help of Google translate in lieu of actual Englishspeakers.

I know it's been a while since you posted your question, but for anyone that was curious about this, the settings button you're looking for will show either the "T" but most of the time it will show the google voice recognition icon. Sometimes it will show the keyboard icon. You have to long press that button to see the option to switch to handwriting mode, querty, or voice.
I hope this helps someone.
I speak 2 language and actually the underline misspeled red line that apear when the word is wrong. I just want to know if anyone find ann app or a w way to make it work. I know it is working with the stock android devices but with the Note 12.2 I can do more. writing is part of my work but I am really bad when it comes to spelling word.
Note: I am using the logitech keyboard. It was actually helping the autocorrect or the line of world to choose from. but with the keyboard it is gone so underline will be really helpfull

I am having the same problem. I would prefer not to have to leave the on screen keyboard on when typing. It is quite annoying when typing with the external keyboard and after typing a paragraph I can't tell which words are misspelled and which are not. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

As Duly.noted mentioned in the post right before yours:
"Going into the setting of the samsung keyboard you can choose to keep it onscreen and use auto correct when a bluetooth keyboard is connected"
So in the quest for the best keyboard for me. I know this is a very opinion and preference based. I have tried several different keyboards the one I am currently trying out is flesky. I tried swype touch pal x Samsung keyboard Google keyboard and many others.. So far. Flesky,, is taking some getting used to however its functionality is very unique.. The reason I created this thread was because I was surprised I had never heard of this keyboard. So anyways please your experience with the different keyboards and let me know your favorite and why
Thank you
