If you flash Marmite that is the message you get when your flash is succesfull...The kernel builder has humor so instead of giving a boring message like: ''the kernel has been succesfuly flashed'' you get the funny ''lid is liked''...The Marmite you flash has to be CM version and if you flash it imediatly after a rom there is no need for anything else, but if you already flashed a rom with it's own kernel you shuld format cache and dalvik before you flash

thanks

If you flashed cm10.1 on it I guess you still have the rom zip on your sd card so you can acces it from recovery...do all wipes then reflash the rom add after you reflashed the rom transfer the file bwith the corect kernel to the phone and then go to recovery again wipe cache and dalvic and then flash the kernel

rom not boot

I have x10 mini.....
bootloader unlocked
flashed [KERNEL] nAa-12 ics
I can flash any kernel.....then I can flash any rom....
but rom never boot never started.....when I open the phone appeas the logo of kernel and then restart the phone
Why??
Are you using clockwork mod to flash the kernel? Are you clearing cache and dalvik cache before install of the kernel? Was the ROM working before trying to flash the kernel? Need more info!
---------- Post added at 12:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 PM ----------
Probably best to just start fresh. Make sure the ROM and kernel you want are on your SD Card.
1. Enter recovery
2. Wipe data/factory reset
3. Clear Cache Partition
4. Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Install ROM from SD Card
6. Install Kernel from SD Card
7. Reboot phone
I enter recovery off nAa ics3 ....what kernel can I flash from sd after flashing rom???
Follow procedure above, you'll want to flash the ROM, then any supported kernel on top of it.
ToD
step 1-5 I ' m doing ever...I have x10 mini pro and I know something about flashing....I had never problem flashing any rom on x10 mini pro...

Which cwm version u r using
Flash cm10.2 then cm11 cwm upgrade is automatic
already tried that
let me clearify my situtation here
i was on CM10.2 and than tried to update to CM11 by directly flashing CM11 zip as directed by dhiru in the OP,i ended up in bootloop so i flashed DDLF2 yet bootloop resulted.I searched the forum and found BAM kernel as the solution and phone booted successfully.
now u want to flash cm11.can i do it directly or Do i need to flash a diffrent kernel or recovery first?
plz help.
Goto cwm recovery. Wipe user data, format system, flash cm 11 ROM. Good to go.

You don't need kernel or cwm. Both are included in cm ROM.
Sent from my GT-I9003
Remove battery and place it back (turn off),
put your phone into download mode (vol down-home then power)
odin
place all the stock rom files (pit, ....)
start
and also I suggest you don't go for the CM11 yet, because it has some bugs as I tried it.
There are better stable roms for SL here.

[HELP NEEDED] Mi4i stuck after boot logo[Q]

I am trying to install the Carbon Rom in my device.
1. Flashed TWRP and ROOTed
2. Cleared the delvic + cache
3. Flashed the rom and gapps
4. Restarted
5. Phone goes blank at finishing booting.
Tried 3 times
Any solution to this problem???
USE SEARCH BEFORE POSTING SUCH PROBLEMS! THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED MANY TIMES.
Did you flash miui6? It's a problem with firmware.
I think you didn't flash miui6 (6.6.x or 5.6.11). Well there is an other solution.
https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs?...p-6.6.10.0.zip
Flash this file after wiping. Then flash the rom and gapps.

You have to wipe system and data too before indtalling the rom and not just dalvik and cache
In order to restore to MIUI, you must flash zip using stock recovery, not TWRP!
Try the fastboot method if flashing zip doesn't work for you.
Brdr first flash miui 6 old rom .then try again.

cyanogenmod does it too just not as mutch it happens only like one or twice since I changed the file system. Sometimes not even once or twice. I Switch roms alot though. If you want to try this just hit me up and I will give you instructions on how to do it. You have to have a rom ready to flash and go when you do it.

Why there is no INSTALL ZIP in CM Recovery only INSTALL UPDATE?
Is it the same?

PS.
I try both CM and TWRP Recovery, and phone stuck on CM logo.
Try re-downloading rom from cm site and put on sd card then go to recovery and do a full wipe by clicking advanced then check mark all boxes except the sd card box. Then flash rom. Your install scripts are in meta inf folder. dont tinker with it.

I have even tried format /data/ partition on f2fs (I have found such solution on this forum) but no results.
Maybe I should try older CM ROM?

That the newest version lollipop should work on it. Try changing system to ext4 but swipe factory reset first then click data then change to ext4 then swipe factory reset again then flash rom. Try a a different lollipop ROM. I'm currently using DU. But they all work if you can't flash anything I have been working on stock version of the last 4.4.2 and finally got it to flash via twrp 2.8.6.0. It has root and xposed and app ops adblocker and just got init.d to work just need to do a quick rebuild so init.d sticks via kernel auditor. You can flash it just to get your device going if all else fails.

Mine doesn't reboot and has been optimized. Also try a different ROM to flash but like DU or Mokee there's plenty of other ones. But try changing system to ext4 first. Then flash. I gave you directions on that in post few minutes ago. Try it and see if it works.
Returning to the main topic of this tread.
I have noticed that when I have MOBILE DATA turn off
the restarts do not occur.

Is it possible to flash CM 11 via twrp 2.8.6.0?
Regards
RJ
I have found the solution of this issue.
The problem is with the FAST DORMANCY service.
When it is active but provider does not support it
it causes problem.
It should be disabled in the file /system/build.prop

Flash the rom in TWRP then before exiting TWRP flash Messi's permissive kernel. It takes about 10 minutes to boot and some features won't work (wifi, hot-spot, camera and VOLTE). Hope this helps.

I've gotten version 2 and 3 to boot on my J7, but the same issues showed in both releases. And yes you have to flash the kernel. Slight differences in the J700F/M/H and our T variant. This is why the Enigma Rom and CM13 (or any other kernel specific build) will never flash and boot without some internal tweaking.

Try this. Take your external SD card and put it in your tablet. Go to Messi's thread for the max kernel in J7T development and download the boot.img not the boot.tar.md5. Finish the download then extract the zip in your external SD card. Put your SD card in your phone, boot into TWRP. Now mount system, cache, art/dalvik, data and internal storage (you may need to format data to access data) now wipe them. Don't wipe your external SD card, so make sure it's not mounted in TWRP. After the wipe mount your external SD, flash the rom, then flash boot.img and tick Boot not recovery before the flash. Reboot and wait. Let me know if it helped man.

Wi-Fi fix , you just need to get the files from the stock ROM in system, etc. And delete all the files in note 7 folder and put the ones you copy from the stock ROM in that same folder you just delete the Wi-Fi files out of
And Reboot I reboot to recovery and advance wipe click dalvic and cliche
