Hey, I felt like making a bare bones GB Rom so here it is :3. I used dw9906 rom as a base for now. I feel that dw99o6 had the best idea by making a pure CM7 rom. But we all really just want speed in our roms. So here's Nomy's CM7. It's a messed around with ROM. Took out everything that's not needed, added a couple of App's that I feel are far Superior than the stock app's on our phones. I was aiming to get a GB rom that gave me the most RAM. That's what I feel was done here.
Why it's awesome :3
*CM 7.1 (2.3.7)
*Great Speed
*Only 43Mb Zipped! ;3 With Auto Kernel
*Sense 3.0 ClOcKfOnT
*Only 32M of space used, 60 free
*Without the GApps there's usually 40MB of free RAM
*With it very's from 32-24
*Comp at 18
*140 DPI [open spare parts, and on the bottom disable "Compatibly Mode" so apps that show up tiny on the screen can take up the rest of the screen]
*Latest Superuser
*Clocked at 528, works perfectly on 352-- and 480 NO NEED TO OC In all honesty Overclocking would be the worst thing to do. After running bench marks, on 352 its till faster that the OG Droid
*Dolphin Mini for the Browser
*Linda File Manager for...well the file manager
*everything works, little to no lag.
*Zeam 2.9.5 as Launcher [Has the Simplistic look to it still]
*Launcher Pro Plus in my drop box
*No onscreen because I have huge hands, and it waste RAM.
*all unused things taken out, but can be uploaded to my drop box on request
*Will possibly theme to Lunar UI in future update
*Use Simple2Ext to push everything to SDExt {Not inculded in ROM Yet}
*Kept only a classic Alarm Tone, ported over my Favorite sense Ringtone
*Oh yeah, ROM boots in like 10-20 seconds after 1st boot
http://db.tt/TZiVcH7W
Final, Auto Kernel, and slimmed more. Thanks tvall!
>Don't use a task killer, android can handle it's self
>Remove GTalk*if you don't use* and Market Updater. Then uninstall the market update *Just as if you where gonna remove a app* This prevents the new market from coming every time you have a data connection. The new market is to much on our phones, and will cause a over all lag. Also you can't install YouTube, and other epic apps like that ;3
>Don't lock home in RAM
>Only install Apps you use
>If you use CetCPu. Set a profile to underclock the phone to 122 Min 352 Max interactive when the screens off.
That's all Hope you enjoy, expect updates, tweaks, until ICS is out

Emulators
The whole purpose of this was to get Gameboid to run smooth on GB. All emulators expect the PlayStation, N64, and DS are on my dropbox.
this download link doesn't work. just redirects to dropbox login page. please fix soon, eager to try this rom ..
yeah link doesnt work for me either. Sounds good though. Will flash this later once u get it up properly!
Xo Sorry, anybody know a good file uploading site? I also just fixed the Google sign in error.
mediafire is one of the best file sharing sites.superior upload and download speed x uptime.
dev-host.org is good.
I have the Framework I'm going to apply to the lockscreen so the new circle lockscreen looks like a faux honeycomb lockscreen.

Thanks, I'll have to give this ROM try! Currently I am running with speedteam Froyo. It's a great ROM, my only issue is that it takes 5+ minutes to boot up every time!
Sent from my phone.
Honestly it's very fast. Don't update Zeam if you want it to be very fast. It's very stable, no issues. 1st boot takes a while for some reason, but after that the ROM takes 20 second boot max. If your a fan of CM wallpapers like me I'll be posting the apk from 2.3.7 and also a zip file with every single CM wallpaper :3 its not flashable, but work with gallery.
Well you definitely have me interested enough to give this a go after midterms. Rushness' FroSense is performing admirably right now, but there is always that desire to change and tinker in search of perfection.

Okay, this will be the official base for the new version of GinSense

Updated ThunderBolt! to v2.3.2 with governor tweaks and bugfixes.
Introduction
ThunderBolt! is a script package by me, pikachu01 that combines a few notable tweaks shamelessly modified to the max as well as hacks and scripts that I came up on my own(and added tonnes of things over the months of development and testing). Without further delay, please read the rest of the OP
Features
Zach's modified system_tweak (I/O Sched, Readahead, VM, TCP, 3G, BFS/CFS tweaks)
Zach's modified screenstate_scaling script - VM Scaling
Darky's Zipalign script that actually works (modified it a bit to get it actually working. It was broken as is before this.)
Patched libsqlite that disables the need to fsync. Extremely fast database writes.
app_process from Fugutweaks and system_server from Honeycomb 3.2
Quasi-charged! - Only using Supercharger's script but with ThunderBolt!'s own LMK/ADJ/OOM. Supercharger Update9 RC3.2.
zipalign binary
sqlite3 binary
remount script - Included in /sdcard/bolt_scripts/
sqlite_optimize script - Included in /sdcard/bolt_scripts/
Benefits
Better performance, better battery life through Linux kernel tweaks catered for Android OS and flash memory.
Better battery life and performance through usage of screenstate_scaling whereby it switches governors/thresholds/VM depending on your screen state.
Better performance and battery life for database writes as fsync is not utilized anymore.
Better network throughput from TCP tweaks and 3G tweaks
Less RAM usage through zipalign. I found that market apps like Viber and PlantsVsZombies aren't zipaligned. Oh and Swype too. Surprised? Me too.
Reduced /dbdata, /data, /sdcard usage of *.db files and faster database access through defragmentization of sqlite db files (a lot of apps use Database to store data like Swype dictionaries, Game saves etc)
Faster disk access through remount script (noatime, disable barrier etc)
Less lags through Quasi-charger, with mutltasking (e.g. NFS shift + Opera mobile with 5 tabs fully opened and no lags)
Requirements
Android Gingerbread 2.3.x
At least 2MB free on /system (Delete unused ringtones or useless apps like Aldiko/Allshare etc).
Root
Kernel that supports init.d
Ext4 lagfix if you want to use the remount script
Downloads and changelogs are in the:
Original ThunderBolt! thread
Any support for Galaxy S SLC must be placed here rather than the original thread.
A few Galaxy SLC owners kindly asked me to post here so that the goodness of ThunderBolt! is shared to the masses.
Note: Some addons are device specific (labelled with i9000 for example). You can try using it, but it is not guaranteed to work. Something like 3G for i9000 should ring some bells as i9000 supports a lower speed compared to Galaxy SL.

as-is and already tested and confirmed working? or needs to be modified to work on our phone?
after spending some times reading the original thread...
the first post I still can understand how it works.
There are many files attached in the first post, those with "restore" is to revert back to original if you already tweaks it. But none of them is for i9003.
the files "ThunderBolt-CWM v2.3.2.zip" is the main files for thunderbolt tweaks. Flashing instructions already included in the first post.
So, the second post...stuck at half way reading...confuse and confuse...
basically doesn't understand what will each script doing...
Why post a thread like this thats has been copied from the original op.you can just post the link..this could lead the adventurerous mind of sl user as per script is diffrent depending on the phone..copy pasting is a not good manner as the op did a hard job on making it..

Looks interesting; I'll give it a shot next time I'm on gingerbread.
Though just a recommendation: Change the packaged kernel to the non-fso version; I say that so its compatible with most phones. Fso breaks the system for some people; give people that want it the option to flash it.

No problem. Its just how it handles the system and doesn't always play nice. Just like a person that flashes an a2sd enabled rom and someone who isn't partitioned can't boot the rom; little things like that. Hope the rom is received well.

Its all good, and never a problem.
ONE more thing, I double checked and saw the rom is undervolted -75mv; -75mv is 'technically' aggressive, and too much. Personally I use -100mv, but not all can. The safest bet would be to use -25/-50 as most phones can handle that. You may want to bold that in the OP to avoid little things.

It should only matter if you're partitioned and use a2sd; I believe just how it handles the files/apps. I'd make a backup prior to flashing if you did.

it has to be on ext4 at least i think. i say this because it has 2 tweaks in a init.d file (remove jouralism and perfect mount) it said that its EXT4 tweaks. So maybe they wont hurt it if your phone isnt on EXT4 but maybe it will...you can try and let me know but do that at your own risk

-type install
recommended applications:
download busybox from stericsonhere
download smanager here.
How to check if it works?
-type in whatever it says in the installer after you've installed.
-if it responds with error, then you've got problem.
it failed to run, what do i do now?(deeeebuuuuuugiiiiiiing)
-type in 'skeleton(or whatever you renamed it as) --verbose'
this will debug the program and show the result of what is going on.
if necessary, you can also try 'skeleton --bbpass --supass --verbose --renice 19'.
-paste the outcome here. i will help you.
How to run?
-run the program
-read the description.
hidden feature:
-'fork mediaserv 900 0.1 19'
will stop the stutters on audio.
-'randtest'
will cause havok to your device.
details will be updated in a distant future.

"Find the flashable zips in thread" > well as this is a new Thread, nobody will ever find + Attachments are flashable lol
Make a Clear Structure, use your reserved second post
Write down the Features, Advantages, and How-to modify it with own values (even if u already did, you can still make clearer )
Make a clear Title:
[SCRIPT][TWEAKS](12/31/2012)
-=Lazerdroid & MP8Engine=- Gaming & UI Boost or whatever
Write down an easy How-To Use and Test for Not-so-Advanced (I won't call them n00bs ^*>) (Update your old tutorial)
Instead "Yo No Press Thanks" (which is actually pretty true) just "Please Press Thanks and rate 5* if you downloaded anything". Be thankfull... Thank You too!"
Don't just write CAPITAL LETTERS & USE ONLY 1-2 "!"
Only Recomnendations, I don't force you to anything.
Great Tweak btw

If you want to disable that read ahead tweak(lazerdroid script)
you should erase all the 'tune your settings here' lines. It will permanently disable every sdcard tweak the script has.
btw, my antutu score is much worse than yours
but who cares, the games are smoooooth
Please, just call me 'Lag Doctor'.
I was wondering - do these tweaks work and have any effect on other phones? For example sgs2.

For all Android phones\tablets\PCs with Linux
MPEngine9 development has been finished. The current changes from the previous version are:
-removed minfree calculator(they dont work in some roms) replaced with MFKx2 multiplier.
-changed all the tweaks to non specified applet directory(includes lazerdroid)(a new fix for everything)
-alot stronger, best cache cleaner.
-theres more but i cant remember...
It still doesnt change the fact that i will release them in sunday.(if lucky i might be able to upload sooner than that)
thank you

Need help. When i install CWM_LazerDroid_2_7_MPEngine8_package.zip in recovery mode and i go then to system/etc/init.d/____ i dont have any new file.
There it must be system/etc/init.d/2LazerDroid2_7. Why i dont have this file?
I had successfully Rooted my Galaxy Ace Plus and used some tweaks from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43860596 and i had also successfully tweaked it as 1.28 Ghz and 402 RAM size.
But It seems to be still slow as it is. my RAM goes to 355 MB and all things goes to slow working. I use Clean Master to Boost RAM for cleaning and also some time "Clear Memory" from Task Manager, but after some time, RAM goes to 355MB/402MB. I don't know what to do for it. Also when i open some apps ( mostly facebook and other like this apps ), its opens so slowly that it shows Dark screenfor 5 seconds. Please please help me with it.
As my topic is Symlink and Mounting, why can't i symlink the folders in Android as we do in Linux. I want to symlink Some folders from internal memory to the folder of External memory using Terminal app.

I am using
ROM
GINGERBREAD.DDMF2 2.3.6
Is this the ROM info only. I am actually not sure but its the info from System ROM Tool from Play store. one of the cool app.
And also, i had updated it with Kernel Trebon V3 for tweaking RAM and GHz as i mentioned above.
And by the way, are you using 10.1 CWM, i did flash my mobile with 10.1 CWM but sadly Camera didn't work. no hacks and apps found for it.
And also is the lox kernel stable ??? i heard this was not stable.... and also found that OTG would work with it... would it ??? and what is lox kernel is actually for, is it for symlink.
