Smothered Sound/Music Reason - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

If you notice some problems with playback when using Headphones or Earbuds its most likely cause by inserting a wrong type of Headhone Jack, you need to check if its 3-Channeled or 2-Channeled
You can know this by the number of rings the jack has. Galaxy fit DOESNT support 3-Channeled jacks.

Code:

I just looked at my headphones and your totally right, it's a 2-Channled ones
and who's better?
the 2 or 3 ones?

Actually the third ring is for the microphone.
As far as I know, there aren't headphones with three channels. Without a separate device to play the third stream, the concept would be pointless.

That is partially correct, the 3rd ring is for input but not for the mic, its for other commands, mostly for ear-buds with a button. In any case, it interferes with the frequency on unsupported devices

App that will silence an earphone?

Why would you want or need a separate app? Look for a music player which allows you to control the balance between left-right speakers, but bear in mind that you will lose the track from whichever ear you aren't listening on.
Alternatively, why not just leave one of the earphones not in your ear?

IR Blaster for Nexus?

I was wondering if these ir transmitters can be used with the Nexus Phone to use as a universal remote

Ah, sorry, didn't click the link.
That's a pretty ingenious idea whoever came up with it. I don't see why it wouldn't work technically if the software to control the emitter is written correctly for kitkat...

And then you realized that you will never hear any sound from your nexus, because there is something in your headphone jack. You will have to unplug it whenever you are not using the phone as a remote.
I conclude that i totally don't want one.

My old phones had IR ports on them. My Cingular 8125, and 8525 both had them.
That being said, it's a crap waste of time that never amounts to anything more than a novelty.

The HTC One and S4 also has it and we love having a smart remote.
I'm really interested in seeing how well that solution works
I was actually upset because my Nexus 5 didn't have one. I've used My Media Center on my last few phones to control my media center setup but I wish I could control everything from it.
I use xbmc so I don't need ir as there are plenty of apps to do it via the Wi-Fi network.

im gonna say no for your exact purpose you want out of the box this probably only works properly with their proprietary software for camera controls.. but with a lot of software hacking around it could be possible.
any pre existing apps out there that will be looking for a device driver in the kernel for a built in hardware IR transmitter so any universal remote apps wont find this device. now in theory if you had a rooted phone and the know how you could possibly hack up a fake driver that tells the OS its got an IR transmitter so the software will find it and that driver redirects to an analog signal and sends the output to the audio jack.
Or your gonna need to write custom apps just for this device to work as a universal remote, the propriety app appears to only do camera commands.
I wonder if Tasker has a way to generate tones? maybe if you could use tasker to do pulses of tones and use those as the on/offs of the IR LED, would take some work but i bet you could do it if you either had a very small short audio sample played in quick succession or if there were a tone generator yo ucould turn on/off really fast.
looking around found this..
A Sony IR signal starts with 2400 microseconds on and 600 microseconds off; that's the first wide pulse. A "1" bit is transmitted with 1200 microseconds on and 600 microseconds off, while a "0" bit is transmitted with 600 microseconds on and 600 microseconds off.

ive not played with tasker enough to know if it can do timing signals that short, maybe you could pre build a library of .wav files of each code to play into the IR LED.. so you'd have a pre recorded one for on one for off one for vol up etc etc and just play them on demand via tasker.
ps the website for the 5 to 6 dollar app on the android market has a how to build your own IR emitter http://www.wegroo.com/photoirmote/diyirmitter/ also the website says a operating range of 3 meters FYI... which would probably be dependant upon the IR LED's one used too. also interesting that camera remote software appears to also work with hardware built in IR emitters.

looked around this morning... found this. http://iguanaworks.net/products/usb-ir-transceiver/ works in linux and windows.. source code for drivers is GPL.. so possibly again if someone ports the code to a kernel driver for android...??? the second model on the pull down has built in emitters the one at the top uses IR blasters like OP had linked to. looks rather large i assume its a very simple circuit inside so if someone actually put some effort into it could probably get it a lot smaller if they had a preferred circuit board fab and skills to re do the design smaller.

Annoying Voice Dialer

As we all know the sound quality of the headset came with the moto g3 is very bad so i used other headset for listing music but after every 1-2 min the voice dialer pop-ups as show in the below screen shots and also song skips automatically... i tried to find out solution but that didnt worked plzz help me...
Sorry, dude, I've never use the headsets that come with the phone !
But, can I ask if the same problem appears when you're using the original phone? Check if the p2 connectors are the same between the one you're using right now and the one that came with the G3.

Yeah, sorry about that! The P2 connector is the one used on the headphone jack . Try to spot any differences between them (some have 2 or 3 solid lines in the middle).

Audio Problems Through Headphone Jack

I plugged in my headphones to the phone and heard horrible static/hissing in the background, particularly when the volume is over halfway. I've tried 4 different connections (to my car stereo, to my headphones, to an external speaker, etc) and they all sound equally awful. I really hope I don't have a defective unit... This isn't normal though, right? Anything I can try to do to avoid an RMA? I'm rooted, bootloader unlocked, on PureNexus with EX kernel. No audio mods.
Also, just two notes:
1) I am 100% sure the cable is plugged in all the way.
2) I have no issues with the speaker (which tends to be what people have issues with on this phone, ironically). Audio had no distortion through speaker, but through the headphone jack its horrendous. I can't even listen to it it's so bad.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) that's not my issue. I can hear music, it's just terrible sounding due to the hissing I'm the background. It's as if the cable is only half plugged in (but it's not). Thank you for searching though!

Google has admitted the audio distortion issue being reported in its Pixel smartphones is an hardware problem, and it looks like the company is issuing replacements for customers. The audio distortion issue was first reported in December when a user named Mark Buckman had posted about the same.

Wasn't Mark having issues with his internal speaker when headphones were NOT plugged in though? I think those are different issues. My audio is fine at full blast, as far as I can tell, with no headphones plugged in. It's just when I plug something into the headphone jack that I hear the problem. I'll try his piano and see if I can reproduce his issue though. Maybe I just haven't tested the internal speaker hard enough.
EDIT: Grr... I do have the other problem too! Shown clearly by the Perfect Piano app... Well thank you for leading me to finding that out!

Lots of people have a problem with the speaker. I've had 3 replacements with various faults and all have had the speaker issue. It's been reported that its a software issue, and will be resolved in an update..... Hopefully.

Audio in jack

The quality of the sound with the Jack is not poor but even worse !
I got so disappointed by the sound in headphones through jack, compared with other even simple devices is awful.
The response is flat and the 3D sound is terrific, this should be a phone dedicated ALSO for gaming but quiet disappointing.
Moreover the phone is certified Hi-Res audio ... and it looks like a bad joke !
I bought it recently, I made several tests trying to find out if I had to make a fine tunning or something else, I tried several different headphones, even the Hi-Res Xiaomi Mi in-ear Pro but nothing good comes out.
Thinking to change it asap, unfortunately because over all I like all other specs and I feel enough satisfied.

Yes it's audio through jack, right.
About which headphones I used you can read , it's written.
I'm still trying to find out a tuning but mostly in 3D the perception is so flat.
I can say that before this phone I used : S10+, Rog Phone 2, X2 Pro, P20 Pro (just to have a compare with my latest competitors)
I'm using the audio jack with a FIO FH7 inear headphone with Poweramp, in this player you can activate the Hi-Res Output and the Sound is better than all i've ever heard on a smartphone. I've you use Spotify or something else that sounds boring with the same track like on Poweramp.
I think most players don't activate the Hi-Res output and thats the problem.
Good luck.

Hi
The problem is with the region you have set if it's in the EU including the UK then change it to something like USA or St Helens as it's due to the recommended limit of 85db set by the EU. If found helpful please press the thanks button.
Hrishabh
I agree that the sound is quite flat, especially with the hi-fi audio option activated.
One thing I think is that it might be related to headphone impedance. I run Etymotic ER-4P's using an aftermarket cable without the normal 100 ohm resistor. When I add an adaptor with a 50 ohm resistor in series, the sound becomes more dynamic and the soundstage is bigger.
In a way it's logical, because many hi-fi headphones (especially large ones) have a higher impedance.
Running audio mods such as narsil and viper4android allows me to correct the sound a little bit.

Where is the setting to change region?
I do not activate the high resolution because it is marketing (like other Smartphone) and in presets of "sound effects" I put it in Voice because in intelligent it is quite weak both in speakers and with speakers. I tested them with SoungMAGIC E10C and Sony MDR-1Am2 and the sound is quite acceptable as long as you know how to equalize according to the songs that one listens as well as the player (local vs streaming), the headphones that you used I also used for a while And they are bad, sincerely Xiaomi does not know how to make audio and the only thing it does to make them believe that it knows how to handle it is to buy the aforementioned "Hi-Res audio" certification
