Recovery flashable? I only had the deodexed version.
For some reason this leak version ran the best on my phone - battery wise. I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find an odexed version anywhere. Any help appreciated.

Wait what's the difference between VRBMA2 and VRBMB1? I googled it and they are both 4.1.2 Jellybean.

VRBMA2 was the prerelease JB 4.1.2 leak whereas VRBMB1 is the official JB 4.1.2 OTA. Try to view each update alphabetically and it will make sense.

Yeah that's the newest ota. I had that already and going to that from vrbma2 made my battery life worse for some reason. It's all good though.
Have you checked with betterbatterystats about whats causing partial wakelocks and alarms?

Be nice if it would come to USA soon.
The latest leak in the thread below is quite probably the final ICS that will be released as OTA. You can install it if you're not afraid of having to get back to 2.3.6, if necessary.

My Atrix 2 (or more accurately, my wife's) is stuck on 2.3.6. When I go to updates in settings, it always says my phone is up to date. Is there a way to force it to upgrade to ICS?

The official Jellybean update is set for late february
http://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/forums/forumtopicpage/board-id/GeneralCareSupport/thread-id/355
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4182 . This is a upgrade through kies for ICS. Same current baseband as we have now, but there saying it offers security improvements. Hopefully this is a small upgrade before Jelly Bean. If and when that happened we could update our blobs and most certainly run any AOSP 4.2.2 Rom.:good::fingers-crossed:

I don't see why not. The Blaze was released in March of 2012. The T989 also a Tmobile branded phone is running Jelly Bean and its older than our model. Presumably based on little differences and what nots it only makes sense for them to give the update. They are still marketing and selling the device so, yeah.(Hopefully)

I just checked... it isn't available via Kies (for me anyway). I'm sure someone else will get to it first but if not I'll get some flashable options together once I get my hands on it.
And if ever there was an excuse to update tweaked... here it is lol. Methinks this will be some work.

Yep, shouldn't be an issue - I'll check again tonight, and like I said if no one else gets to it by the time I get my hands on it I'll post some stuff.
If I'm reading this right, the update to the new baseband is OTA if you are running non-rooted UVLH5 stock. There's nothing on samfirmware.com for this update to be available via KIES, so I would think that it's just OTA - that and it's only a 20 MB download. I'm going to go back to stock to see if this is OTA only and post my findings...
Nope. No OTA or KIES update available for me.

My interpretation of the T-Mobile info was that it was either - but you are right that it's not available via KIES currently so I could be wrong lol! No OTA has been pushed to the wifes phone yet, but that doesn't mean much for others of course.

It's just so weird to see it on Tmo but not on samfirmware. But yeah it says both... but I remember when ICS dropped it was on samfirmware almost immediately after release... could be because the ICS update was kies only... I'm not getting any OTA notification so... what gives..?

Maybe its based on region. Any west coast or Midwest users out there? It would be nice to confirm one user that has upgraded.
Edit: did you guys try updating or uninstall reinstall kies? I know its been updated since the last time I used it.

Finally, I was starting to wonder...
Just have a quick question. I'm not really all up to date with how the radios work but the new I535VRUCML1 is abler to be flashed I'm on 1535vrbmf1. If I flash the new radio will I still be able to use 4.1.2 roms or only be able to use 4.3?
It would be wise to stay on the MF1 baseband until you decide you want a 4.3 TW ROM. I Was on an AOSP 4.4 ROM with MF1 and had no problems.

You cannot be on anything older than a 4.3 ROM with the ML1 radio... you WILL brick.
There is a ML1 radio available for download and all you have to do is flash it in recovery. But like I said, you must be on a 4.3-4.4 based ROM to flash it without bricking.

Ok great thank you. So if I try a 4.3 ROM and decide to go back to 4.1 or restore my ROM I should also flash the old mf1.

That's not true, at least not for all phones. I flashed the ML1 radio while running a 4.1.2 Touchwiz ROM and everything worked fine. My signal and data speeds seemed worse than on the MF1 radio though, so I flashed back.

I could be wrong but from what I've read, many people must be extra careful about what radios they flash and when... especially with ML1... for some reason.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Ml1 radio will work fine on any rom you run. If you took the OTA update, then you are unable to flash any radios since you have the entire ML1 firmware. The bootloader needs every part of the firmware in order to boot.
Since the flashable zip is only the radio for ML1, there's no danger of this doing any harm or bricking your phone. People have reported much better signal strength when using the ML1 radio with the MF1 firmware on 4.3 roms. I would stay on MF1 if using a 4.1.2 rom. I'm actually still using MB1.

You're mostly right, if you flash the entire ML1 firmware you will brick, and that will cause problems when you run a 4.1.2 rom. Flashing the modem only has no bad effects except for possibly decreased signal strength.

VRUCML1 should work a little better on AOSP than VRBMF1 so long as it includes commits like this
