[Q] Bluetooth Issues

Does anyone have problems connecting their Desire S to Bluetooth devices?
My phone seems to pair to my Bluetooth hands free kit but no connection actually happens. The same situation for another Bluetooth kit i have and also my laptop!
I just upgraded from a normal Desire and it worked perfectly with all the devices.
I tried changing the radio and also upgraded the Rom from 1.28.401.1_Radio_20.28b.30.080 5U_38.03.02.11
to
1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03
I have searched for solutions but have not found any on XDA
Might be that your bluetooth device is in a black list need to check, can yo utell what bluetooth device you have exactly?

My main Bluetooth device is a Merlin Car Mirror Kit V2.
When connected and properly paired it should 'beep' twice, but now it just connects and the phone says its paired. When you make a call it shows it is dialling but no sound comes through both ways.

[Q] Suggest a ROM for bluetooth audio and Wiimote support??

What I'm looking for is a custom ROM that will let my Infuse 4g connect to a Wiimote so I can use it for emulators. I've tried CM7.2, and it allows the connection, but the bluetooth connections to headphones and speakers is completely awful. I use bluetooth all the time so this doesn't work. I've also tried Zeus and R3velation too, and the bluetooth works fine, but they can't connect a Wiimote. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the bluetooth stack, but I honestly don't know what that means.
Does anybody know of a custom ROM that has working bluetooth audio and the proper stack to allow Wiimote connection?
Of course it needs to be stable and have the basic functionalities.
Thanks for any help!
I am sorry to say that our phones biggest weakness seem to be the bluetooth as I wanated to do this also and it did not work. I even brought a small bluetooth keyboard to try to do the same thing and I could not get it to work.

Bluetooth Headphone not discoverable on ASUS Notebook

Hello there, awesome xda-developers,
You guys solved my previous problem, so I hope this one can be fixed too.
I just got my new Asus Notebook. It's an Asus N56VZ. (Yes, the one with the Macbook design) It's buttersmooth like my Android, everything works awesome, including bluetooth, except my Bluetooth headphone. Every other device seems to work, but the A2DP profile doesn't seem to do anything at all. The headphone does work on my phone and my other laptop.
My (integrated) bluetooth module is from Atheros.
A quick overview of the problem and the solutions that didn't do the trick:
Update Bluetooth Drivers
Update Chipset Drivers
Make headphone discoverable
Reboot computer
Use a different (external) bluetooth module
The problem resolved itself. Suddenly, the headphone just appeared under Audio devices.
Problem solved!

[Resolved] How can I use my computer as a Headset device for my phone with Bluetooth?

Hello,
I want to extract the audio from my phone (the analog TV and FM/AM receiver mainly) and play it through my computer speakers. There is a headphone jack but it is of non-standard size (slightly smaller, probably 2.5mm).
Both my laptop and my phone support A2DP but for some reason the service (from the phone) does not show up while I add a new connection and the phone does not let me initiate a connection with any other profile except FTP (although it detects other services in the service list like A2DP and works perfectly fine with other profiles like DUN, HID, OPP, SSP if the connection is started through the computer).
I am currently using the latest version of the Toshiba stack, I have tried using WIDCOMM but it refuses to install drivers for both the internal Bluetooth and the USB Bluetooth that I use on my desktop. The standard Microsoft stack (generic driver) does install but it does not work with both of my devices as they do not detect any Bluetooth devices when scanning.
How can I make my phone detect my computer as a headset?
Thanks in advance.

External USB dongle on PX5

So, the Bluetooth function in Android Headunits act differently than an Android tablet would, for one, it's a handsfree receiver that does not allow (correct me if I'm wrong) uplink with another device.
I have a DSP amp combo that uses BT to connect to an Android phone/tablet, which works fine, but my Dasaita PX5 won't connect to it. It just sees it, pairs, but doesn't connect.
Is there any way I can use a generic Bluetooth USB dongle to connect to it instead? Or is there any other way to allow connection with other BT devices (I have no luck in connecting OBD dongles too, BT or Wi-FI).
Thanks.
The device isn't an MTCB, being a dasiata it's likely an MTCD.
The answer to the BT question is no, you can thank the developer of the device for the hacked BT implementation.
Requesting mod moves to MTCD general.
Cheers! I've been out of touch for a bit and completely forgotten about the MTCx denominatin,
Thanks.

So just to be clear before I go down this path, there is NO external USB bluetooth module that will work with an MTCE head unit? Even if the USB module somehow uses the driver/firmware in the factory settings dropdown?
