Saw this little blurb on HTCpedia can honestly say that I'm not too surprised. This phone is beyond awesome...

Yeah, I noticed it yesterday when I was looking for accessories on AT&T's website. AC has an article too:

I hoping they just sold out and there isn't an issue with the initial batch of phones.

Well lets just say a few days ago I was at target and the lady said they sold out so fast she never even had time to replace the plaque that had the "coming soon" shown in front of phone. So she just left it there since she couldn't keep them in stock.
Yesterday I went to look online to see which best buy had this phone in stock for a friend of mine, and out of the nearest 10 best buys around me, they were all sold out.
I think this phone even with its relatively low press coverage compared to phones like Tmobile's One S is doing really well.

Yeah, I've been checking stock elsewhere and it seems it has just been doing really well. I'm glad I went and got it when I did.

I bought mine and got lucky that I looked at it and the guy set it aside for me till launch day. Only had 2 in the store and the other was pre-ordered.
I talked to him the other day and he said people keep coming in for one.

I went to an AT&T store in downtown Washington DC the next day the One X was released ( I believe it was a Monday) and they were sold out.

It's more likely they've been taken off the shelf to push the new update that fixes WiFi and messaging.
I really doubt the phone is selling out. When I picked mine up they told me I was the first person to buy it. Sadly, all the other customers were just there for iPhones.

I went to 5 different AT&T stores yesterday trying to find a white one. Every store said the phone has been selling like crazy. Every rep I talked to was interested in the phone and wanted to buy one for personal use.
I'm glad to see this phone selling well, it definitely deserves it.

I've been to many brick-n-mortars (AT&T, Radioshack, Best Buy) looking for accessories and all the employees were asking me about it. Employees at stores that don't have "live" models on display, like RS and BB, even wanted to check my HOX out.

It's a great phone. My local store had them in stock on release day. I was in yesterday for a swap, and they still had a couple available. Even in MS this is a popular phone.

I also doubt that...as there are different time zones so it would be unfair to people on different parts of the country...some would be able to get there pre order in hours before half of the country

So I can pre-order at the actual AT&T store? Not online? Or both? And will pre order get me the phone faster than waiting for the store release? These are the questions I had.... I am on a spread out family share plan where we live in different areas of the country, will it be shipped to the main account holder address, or can I put my own address in for the pre-sale? I need an AT&T rep to answer these I think...

I will be either going into a store to get it once available. I remember when the S2 came out I was able to get it the day after release but quite a few that pre ordered it didn't get it until a week after I got mine (or close to that at least). But I will be going in to check it out in person as soon as the stores have them.

the preorder page only shows the 16gb model. i hope that's wrong. anyways i called them and they say when the stores open you can preorder. if the 32gb model isn't available ill wait until it launches to buy.

Why on Earth would you pay $50 for 16 gb of additional space?
16 gb of space is currently going for $15 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroSDHC-Memory-Adapter-SDSDQU-032G-AFFP-A/dp/B009QZH7BU). If you feel the need to spend the $50, then get the 64 gb card for $54.

because i want the 32gb model. i already have a 64gb sd card. i dont order phones from amazon, ill do it straight from at&t.

Because the internal memory is a lot faster and I would prefer to have more of it instead of external memory. The 16GB version has about 9GB usable.

Don't know if it's "a lot faster", but whatever floats your boat.

It is a lot faster....
Just like an internal hard drive is faster than an external on a computer...speed gets bottle necked by adapters and what not...

So dig this, I had some questions that I posted towards the beginning of this thread about pre-order and nobody seemed to have any valuable response, so I just happened to be next door to an AT&T corp store just now getting coffe and I popped in and asked... here are my answers from the clerk that talked to her manager.
-Yes, presale begins tomorrow (duh)
-Yes, pricing is $200 and $250
-You can pre-order as soon as your store opens tomorroe (4-16)
-Yo can have it shipped to any address once pre-ordered
Here is the odd part of her responses.....
-As far as how soon I would be getting said S4 if I preorder tomorrow, she initially said it would ship in 3 to 5 working days... I thought GREAT, I am days away from having my new toy in the palm of my sweaty arizona hand...
Then the stab in the gut came, she dissapeared to the back for a moment to confirm this info and spoke to her manager, who coached her that she was wrong to quote me 3 to 5 working days. She proceded to inform me (according to her manager) the phone would ship the day it is released in the store in May.... My heart dropped and I said "May?" and she said "Well we don't know or can't say when it is being released yet..." So I said, "Well why did you say may then?" she said "well, whenever it does come out..." as if she slipped and was not supposed to disclose that...That was the end of the conversation.
I wanted to ask her "well what the hell is the point of pre-order then if It does not even ship until the day it releases in store?" but I didn't have the nerve and I guess I was hoping this was all a bad dream lol.....
So heres to hoping her and her manager were completly wrong or were just trying to be vague....
This guy here is on pins and needles waiting for his S4 and ready to give my trusty Infuse 4G a viking funeral

A friend and I both got this deal for $99 at Staples, I haven't opened mine yet but he opened his and is complaining how slow it is, surprising as it's got decent specs and is brand new, might have to slap a custom rom on it for him.

Good luck with that.... We don't have much for Roms yet.

They were $125 for about an hour earlier tonight as part of Amazon's rolling 'lightning deals' for Cyber Monday. I picked up a couple as presents for my kids just as the deal was expiring.
I am concerned about the storage though. So after rooting is there a preferred app/procedure for shifting apps over to the memory card?

I think theres an application you have to use when your rooted to do so. Im not even sure if they will even work as i never had an sd card before. Im wondering this too.

I just called my store and they are gonna be selling them tomorrow but they only got 3 of them so I have to wake up early to see if I can get one

I stopped in a local store on my way home from work. The employees were a little excited to see the phone in person. They didn't have any yet.

Just an FYI
If you're already on jump on demand you can call 800-937-8997 and place an order for a different color. All they have is silver and gold . They'll ship you the phone and you have 14 days to take your original phone to a store to turn it in.
You still qualify for the extra battery, charging cradle, and 360 cam.
Ordered the silver.

My local store said gold is "the only color that's out right now." Mehh.

My G4 quit working literally an hour before I was picking up a G5 at lunch.
When I went in to the T-Mo store, they replaced my G4 with a G5 (Jump!), but as was said before, they only had Gold, which is fine with me because I didn't really care. They called around only the main SF store had the silver version, and they only had 5. By the time I would have gotten there, I would have received gold there too.

I just went into my local store to look at the phone. I don't see why people are saying it's ugly. It's a very nice phone. But anyway, my local store had both gold and silver.

I kept calling around until I found a place that said it had silver. Then I showed and they didn't. Damn liars! Ordered it in store to be shipped to my home. Probably faster than waiting for silvers to show up.

Looks like T-Mobile is only getting silver and gold. After running into gold only in my area of about 12 stores, I checked on their website - gold and silver are the only colors available to order. Called their customer service and they confirmed T-Mobile will only have the 2 colors. Disappointing.

I have the gold one... I honestly dont mind the color, atleast it is not an obnoxious gold

I think the gold looks decent, but I'm going to cover it with a case anyways. So it really only matter if you're planning on using it nude, which I don't recommend given the drop tests

Gives me time to wait for root!

Follow-up: I called in my order to T-Mobile on Sunday April 3rd. Was told it would take about 3 weeks to ship, and got the cheapest shipping (which they said take a week) which ended up being $7.46. Got an email this morning (Wednesday April 6th) saying it's shipped. Hasn't been dropped off but it's UPS ground. Much better than expected so far!

I got mine launch day 4/1, and like others have said Gold was the only color available. It's grown on me since I got it though and I am going to put a skin on it anyway so it really doesn't matter much.

Question Preorders

Anyone able to preorder? The preorder screen is blank for me..

S22 Ultra, 1TB, Phantom Black preordered during the presentation. Ordered on the website (Canada) from my phone while viewing the presentation on my laptop.

There's not trade in selection for a google pixel 6 pro... Waiting on chat to see what's up there.
Edit: What's a good place to sell it? I'd like to get close to what I paid for it.
Edit 2: Verizon will give me $1000 for trade in. Same as what I paid. I'd prefer an unlocked phone, but that may be the best deal I can get.

How many GBs is your pixel 6 pro?

I cant get it to take an order. One minute the trade in was there and then it was gone. And the $50 preregister offer didn't come up anywhere.

Mine went through, 1TB in red. So happy they finally added back the 1TB option and offered the larger storage amount in other colours besides black! Wasnt goigoingto buy one because i went fold 3 but once i saw that...had to pull the trigger lol

I ordered through Verizon, and holy sheet, what a nightmare!!! It took an hour in a chat to get the phone ordered, but now it won't let me check all the agreement boxes, so now I'm on the phone with verizon, and the online agreement isn't working either. Sitting on with an agent now. FFS

Took me a little while as well. I ordered about 2 hours ago. The site was already suffering.

FINALLY got my fixed. They had to cancel the original order, then order again. Blasted Samsung for not accepting the pixel 6 pro as a trade in! I'm sure I'll get mine a week after those that ordered from Samsung..

I was having the same problem with the site. I just chatted w/ sales via the widget on the bottom right and they got me squared away. You do need to switch to a proper plan if you aren't on one already though.

It's $1000 but there's something wrong with their system. Get on a chat, they fix it for you.

Probably, but I'd rather have it come out monthly on my VZW account. Plus I don't want a lot of the accessories anyhow.

I managed to pre-order before the presentation was over un the UK. There was a queue system on each checkout step lol I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra 512GB in Graphite. Trading in my wife's P40 Pro, and at least in the UK you get the Buds Pro as a gift for pre-ordering.

after 8 frickin hours of trying off and on, I was able to get one pre-ordered here in the States, green unlocked 512gb, wanted the red one but the green was my next choice and was able to get that ordered, so that`s what I got lol, I was curious so I tried a preorder again and there site is still having issues at 4 am in the states WTF samsung.

My wife was trying all day yesterday. she finally got a checkout button and she checked out and it removed the watch from her cart without letting her make changes and she lost her 250 samsung credit. She is so mad. she has benn trying to call them since midnight est time. I am not even sure she slept.

I placed an "upgrade programme" order last night ok ... website in uk seemed bugged and only allowed burgendy colour
But cancelled the order for now instead anyway -- waiting until we get some real performance metrics from the device ... "leaked" figured / testing have been all over the place so nothing trusted yet.
Need to see things like stress tests etc on Exynos before i commit again.
