So, I ordered a HTC One developer edition, which arrived with dust underneath the screen. I sent it back, and now two weeks later I am informed by HTC that my order has been delayed and that my new exchanged phone won't ship until May 31. Understandably, I canceled the exchange, and am now faced with the dilemma. The only carrier I will use is T-Mobile, and they only offer the One in 32gb and the S4 in 16gb. Now, all things set aside I prefer the One but I have a lot of media on my phone and 32gb, while probably enough, would leave me with little breathing room. On the other hand, with the S4, I would be able to us a SD, but the small internal memory (only 9gb available to users) means that I will have little room for games and other large apps. Which one do you think I should go with? I will be making my order tonight.

I would suggest you go with HTC one since it have a bigger internal memory (if you are worried about disk space). Android 4.0 doesn't allow users to save on sd anymore (except using link2sd). But if you are more into power, then get s4.

Sorry. Will do.

I personally have had issues with Samsung, Motorola, LG and HTC devices.
I know they're all rushing to push out the next big thing, but I hate having to wonder every time I buy a new phone, what's going to be wrong with this one?
Anyone got any advice on which manufacturers are the best or worst?
Thanks.

Thanks, that looks interesting.
I remember in the past I was intentionally avoiding Sony. I'd seen some stats regarding the speed at which different manufacturers updated their Android handsets, and Sony was at the bottom.
I'll have a look and see what kind of support there is for Sony devices (accessories, rooting, roms etc.)
I've really been racking my brain lately on what to do. Because of the recent changes in Verizon's policy that basically take away upgrades as they make you wait the length of your contract before they allow you to "upgrade" your phone.... Anyway I digress...
I currently have a HTC Dna that I recently picked up for an excellent deal coming from a decidedly "too large" galaxy note 2. I've never really looked twice at HTC, but this phone is great. I've been debating weather to wait months to see if Verizon gets their version of the "one", or switch to AT&T and pick up one tomorrow.... Which brings me to my next question.... Do you believe the HTC One is worth upgrading to considering my current ownership of the DNA? A little third party input I believe would be beneficial.
Any thoughts, comments, concerns, or whatever. I hardly ever post to these things. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks

guys I need you opinion , im my way to get new a gadjet but i doubt to choose between this 3 device..
No one can decide this for you. People are naturally just going to tell you to get what they find more appealing, and what's important to them. Your priorities will probably differ though, so you need to analyze what's important to you and then learn about each device, then make a decision.
They all have their strengths and their weaknesses.

Just don't go for Xperia... HTC and S4 are far better
No one can choose for you. Anyway, you should choose depend on your taste. You like to hear music? Or what? And decide the phone.

There are two places where you can post questions like this one. In the device comparison thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229761 and in the device suggestion thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846277

I really hope Google and VZW become friends again. I really want the newest Google phone
s4 would be better
as my title, i think htc has lack of quality control than samsung, maybe cause of samsung use plastic and htc use metal

currently on an aging GNEX toro, been watching the upcoming androids, looking to move on to a more current phone. can anybody advise me? i abhor VZ bloatware, and i like customizing. have enjoyed crackflashing my GNEX since i got it.
S4: great specs, hate the iphone clone button, and it's locked up tight, with no ETA on bootloader unlock for the ME7 update. dev edition looks unlockable, but has bafflingly useless tiny memory. (seriously? 16g not counting how much the OS takes?)
HTC one: killer phone, no removable battery (wtf?) no SD card (seriously?)
MOTO X: looks like the closest to a GNEX i'm gonna get, but the specs pale compared to the high end phones.
Nexus 5? the nexus 4 accidentally never got LTE, and hence never came to VZ. dammit. can't find a release date (aside from ?2013?) or specs anywhere.
LG G2: looks great, good specs, all the usual features, but weird rear buttons. i think i'm favoring this one right now.
your advice, please.
