DH Texas Poker - Android General

I played this last few days and purchased chips several times. However my card statement seem to be bit more charge than I thought. Credit card company has blocked the future transaction until i verify those transactions. I was wondering anyone had played the game and charging issue.

Android Market has not refunded my money after 72hrs???

So, one of my friends' kids got ahold of my phone, and went market crazy apparently. I uninstalled the apps (about 7) within about 3 hours and still have not received my refund. I thought they don't charge your card until after the 24 hour time period.
Is this normal? I've bought a game here and there and returned it because I didn't like it and I seem to remember getting that refund within an hour or two.

Were you billed for the purchases? I thought they didn't charge until 24 hours after purchase as well except for the second time. That's usually an instant charge with no refund.
I honestly don't know what time they hit my bank. I just remember seeing all the emails in my inbox.
They were returned within 3 hours.

No... It shows cancelled in the google checkout service, but I still (as of this very moment in time) have still not received my refund.
I can find no way in hell to contact google checkout about this.

They said they will "hold" the amount from the account and then apply the charge when it ships... Depending on how your bank processes holds (or freezes), it may show up as a charge, but the date will likely change to the ship date when the charge is applied...
Like my current bank shows it as a "D/C Settlement" with Monday's date, when the phone ships it will be a charge, the "D/C/ Settlement" tag will be removed, and it will have the ship date's date (Exactly like how it happened with my Atrix last year). At my old bank (BB&T) it would show up as a charge from whenever they applied the hold, then the date would change later (which is what happened with my Captivate)... It just depends on the bank for how they handle the codes on their end.

lol, i wish, i still haven't been charged :/
I have not been charged. Pre-ordered early Sunday PST, online system still says "In Process" and does not show backordered.
My credit card shows it as a pending charge so far but it's only been one day.

my card hasn't been charged but the funds have most certainly been reserved. that's basically the same thing as being charged. it's money you can no longer use.

Like somebody else said, it depends on how your bank handles holds. You aren't actually charged until shipment. But for my bank there was a hold for the amount, but holds disappear after about three days without actual charge, so it is gone now. If it never showed up, don't sweat. Banks handle things differently.
Rabble rabble rabble.
I won't get charged till it ships, so no for me.
Everyone just needs to relax. Wether you're charged or not involves many factors, some AT&T can't control. If you go an order confirmation just wait.
A pending charge isn't "charged", mine is pending and has been since I placed my order.
This is a quote from the e-mail I got, and yes, the money in my account is on hold.
"Please note, your credit card will be charged at time of shipment. If using either a credit or debit card, funds in the amount of this purchase will be immediately held and not available for other use. Credit and debit card transactions will not appear in your account until time of shipment."

But it depends how your bank works with holds, for me they charged it. Everything should be just fine on wednesday for everyone that ordered.

[Completed] Any thoughts what I can do about a night manager at a verizon store

I been having problems with my Note 3 not seeing the charger for the last 3 months, Give me a statement that it is slow charging and need to plug in the original charger that came with the phone which is what is plugged in to it. I took it in about 3 months later to get the phone replaced with a recirtifted Note 3 even mine is only less then 8 months old. I put up with it that long because of the a hassle dealing with the sales people and spending hours on hours having try to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. So I bought another charger a month later of dealing with the slow charging, that was 39.99 wasted, did not solve the issue. them my usb 3.0 went out on it. I took it in for a number of reasons, over the last month it would not connect to any WiFi at all secured or open. always failed to find IP Address. even using a WPS and pass number. So after 30 minutes of waiting around to be helped. I was starting to get help, i explain about the charging issue that was looked at by the same sales person who looked at it the first time. Then I explained about the WIFI issue and that it would drop and would use 4 GIGS of data in a couple of hours and I never use my phone at work except to listen to books from my SD card over my Bluetooth head set. they even verified it on the computers of the unexplainable use of Data when my WiFi drops. Then some young around 20 year old acting manager started messing with my phone and came across Trusted Certificates for the internet to use to allow web sites to display pages. Let me make this clear I have never rooted my phone ever, not has my Knox ever been tripped. He started making accusation that I rooted my phone and voided my warranty on it and that if they were going to send out replacement it would be 370 for the replacement. Told him that its never been rooted. he pointed to the Certificates and some of them make reference to the word root. In front of the whole store he basically said I was a lair. Lucky he never said it in those exact words of someone would have a dental issue. Again I told him that its never been tampered with and its still how it was when I got it. He said these words don't lie. He never Checked the Knox on the phone and I was so embarrassed that I told him stick his head where the sun don't shine. I have never been treated like a thief before or told that I'm a Liar. He had me wound up beyond tight. After a about 4 hours of cooling off. I booted my phone up and the A- Hole did something to trip my Knox counter and now shows 0X1 on it and before he started messing with it it never had that... What the hell am I suppose to do now. If I could get the phone to charge and WiFi to work I would root it now since he screwed my over in more ways then one.

Wow... this is a doozy. Let me make a few points:
Obviously he doesn't know what he was talking about with root certificates, this is a root certificate on the internet and doesn't have anything to do with phone rooting.
Do you think he has the knowledge to tamper with Knox if he doesn't know what root on a phone is? Was the phone out of your sight? Why do you think he did this?
If you hate this Verizon store, why do you keep going back to it? Go to another Verizon store.
If you have legitimate beef with the manager (that term is used loosely, they call many employees 'managers' so that they have more authority in the store to customers) - then talk to someone at Verizon corporate about it. The "store" you visited likely isn't a Verizon store, but a phone reseller that is a "Verizon authorized reseller".
Regarding your phone... take it up the chain of command, file a small-claims lawsuit if you think you can win it (I doubt you can)
Next time, don't buy Samsung / Verizon if you are unhappy with them
Sorry for your troubles...

[Q] Samsung Rewards Debit Card - Incessant Expiration Notifications

This morning I began receiving a constant and unending barrage of notifications on my S7E from Samsung Pay's Gear plugin that my remaining Rewards debit card was expiring ... and I do mean barrage. It was some sort of tight notification loop; the phone was incessantly dinging and vibrating with the same notification over and over again. Turning off Pay notifications and a restart of both the phone and the watch didn't fix it.
To get the notifications to stop, I had to delete the card from the watch, even though it's still good through the end of August. The card still shows as available on the phone, so I'm assuming I can use the remaining balance as long as I do it from the phone rather than the S3.
I'm running the latest version of the Gear and Phone Samsung Pay software, 1.5.1105 for the former and 1.5.1205 for the latter. I searched using a number of different terms to see if anyone else had experienced this but could find nothing similar.
Anyone else?
This happened to me as well, last night. Weird thing is, my watch wasn't even connected, and the Samsung rewards card isn't even in my Samsung Pay on my phone (despite the fact it was on my last two phones.. and I have no idea how to get it to appear in my phone's Samsung Pay)
When I get home later I will connect my watch and see what I can do (aside from deleting the card)
Curious it does not show in my phone though.
How's it expire when it's electronic? I'm assuming Samsung will issue a "new" electronic card once this one expires
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
No, it's a promotional card with a dollar limit, handed out as part of the rewards program. They have a limited lifespan.
What does your comment have to do with the actual issue here?

What's with the unfriendly attitude? She's just asking a question
amyf27, l think it basically boils down to this - Samsung is not into the CC industry and probably want to limit the resources (data) spent maintaining/tracking these rewards cards. They're issued as promotional rewards and Samsung expects us to use them up, not just store them forever. If you receive another reward later, they would just issue you a new one.
If they were an actual CC issuer, they would be making money which would allow them to invest in the infrastructure necessary to maintain the cards, digital or physical.

Wondering why it expires, isn't relevant to an expiration notification issue? I disagree.
Thankfully, I stopped getting the notifications after I deleted mine, which had zero left on it anyway.
Uhm, delete the card? That's what I did when my rewards card with $.02 left on it was about to expire.

I'm much more inclined to throw away $0.02 than $10, and as I stated in the original post, deleting the card from my watch is exactly what I did. Fortunately it remains on my phone, so I will be able to use it before it expires at the end of the month.

How could this person be locating my devices?

I'm sure I'll get some haters, who think I am simply nuts but this is a REAL problem that I've got to solve.
For the last 6 years I've had a mysterious stalker and hacker, who renders most of my and my family's devices nonfunctional and breaks into my accounts and generally makes my life much harder. It has recently come to light that it isn't a hacker SINGULAR but at least 3 guys, hellbent on destroying me: my daughter's father, her uncle, who is a military hacker and their friend, who managed to ingratiate himself with me, until my daughter's father confessed, when I confronted him with evidence against him and his brother, saying he didn't mean for it to get this out of hand. Well, thanks for the heads up but it's a little late, because it IS this out of hand and the wheels of justice grind slowly.
Meanwhile, I am still hacked, even worse now, because his brother got out of the military and moved back to town and has a lot more time and access now. Calls and texts are being intercepted so frequently, that I now use Google Voice/Hangouts to communicate, knowing that nothing I say is ever private but at least people get my messages and I get their calls that way.
I'm looking for a job and I need a device that he won't be able to spy on, so I went to Best Buy and purchased a phone card and moderately priced android phone and took it home to resume my job hunt. I planned never to call any of my usual contacts with the phone but just use it for work stuff. Within hours, it was acting buggy and when I restarted it, it did not go to the regular black screen that says "your device is encrypted for security" but showed my regular background and said "please enter your password when starting android". On my note 8 and 9, that would often happen and when I went to security options, secure startup would be disabled. I checked and secure startup was still supposedly enabled. In ADB "adb shell getprop ro.crypto.state" returned "unencrypted".
I returned the phone and purchased a Google Pixel, hoping their physical security device MIGHT be more effective than Knox at protecting me from this guy. I purchased a brand new sim card and spent another 50 bucks on a phone card, from a different company.
Since my daughter's father has moved within a half-mile of me (despite having no contact with her and very little with me) 4 times now, I speculated that he was, perhaps, using a directional yagi antenna to scan my area for new device beacons and then (skip forward a few steps) find out what apps are installed on those devices, to determine if they are mine. With that in mind, I never even turned the Pixel on at my house.
That night, I took the phone to a random emergency room with secure wifi, to which I know the password and proceeded to set it up. I made a new google account, as usual and installed a bunch of random apps, such as black dating apps (since I am white, I figured that, if my theory was right, it might throw them off my scent) and games I would never play and apps for banks of which I am not a member. By the first time I restarted the phone, still at the emergency room, it had the exact same problem. It purported to be encrypted but (adb later verified) it was not. Apparently, the cheap phone faired slightly better than the pixel, in this department, because the first one was reencrypted upon reset, while the Pixel was not. I never activated or inserted a sim card in the pixel and while I had my regular phone and tablet along with me, they were powered off, in the car.
I was pretty sure, after the first phone was compromised, that I was onto something with my beacon frame theory but it would not explain what happened at the emergency room, unless there is a tracking device in my car, which IS likely, because I continually find my car torn up in all sorts of ways. They even broke off the panel on the driver's door with lock and window switches and the lid of my center console and I continually find the carpet pulled away from the trim. Then again, they also put something caustic in the wiper fluid tank, which destroyed both tank and windshield, so it could also have all been done simply out of malice.
Having no better ideas, I ran a bug detector over my car and found that there IS a radio signal being emitted from somewhere around the gearshift or cd player. I took apart the area around the gearshift and found nothing. In that department, the only remaining possibility is that they've actually put something inside of the cd player itself, the screen of which quit working a while back. I have the ribbon cable to fix it, so maybe I'll get lucky when I crack it open in a bit. The signal DOES appear strongest at the CD player but it could be anything, even catalytic converters can emit radio signals.
Assuming my bug theory is wrong, does anyone have any other idea of how these guys could have discovered and hacked those phones? I've got to find a way to evade these people or I'll never have anything like a normal life, until they're finally in jail.
Wow!
I have not heard of such hacks, even when it comes to national security.
What is the motive of these three people ?
I have no clue but with there skill in not sure an iphone would fare much better
