my two cents on cyanogenmod for A700
CWM 6.0.3.1 did not work had to use CWM 6023 instead. Installed cm-10.1-20130507-NIGHTLY-a700.zip
one thing that is noticeable right away, the tab was getting uncomfortably hot, similarly to original ROM before Acer fixed it.
BTW I was not allowed to post at development forum coz of <10 posts on this site, silly.
I don't know why but I have the same issue with the CM Rom. My tab become very hot.
With stock all is normal.
I flash with cmw 6031.

I rooted my tf101 9.2.1.17-20120312 with viperMod. Then installed recovery installer and can now access recovery. I want to try some custom roms but I want to know how i can restore my tab in case i don't like the rom or something goes wrong during flash.
I downloaded US_epaduser9.2.1.17UpdateLauncher.zip from asus site since my tab seems to be running Us version of rom. My question is is this zip recovery flashable? Or is there some other way I can restock?
I should mention i got my tab in mint condition but without original case so i don't know what serial number it has. I've attacked a photo with what it says on the box.
Any help would be apreciated. I don't want to end up with a shiny new brick.
According to the box, your serial is BC0, which means its an SBK2 device. So you cant use NVFlash.
Its not much of a big deal as long as you dont **** up the recovery and the android OS at the same time.
As far as restoring... Just take a backup of your current rom in CWM before flashing anything new.
And I suggest you skip ASUS's builds. Just grab a custom rom instead, they are 100 times better in all areas.
Thanks for the quick reply. I saw there are plenty of custom roms for the tf101. Which one is the more stable? I used aokp for a galaxy tab 7 i owned until recently but it wasn't quite suited for daily use.
Hi Saav,
I can also recommend this to read:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22465766
I like the revolver rom of gnufabio 4.0.0. It is still in beta but works really wel for me.
And Goatshocker is correct, the serial number is for SBK2, so nvflash is not an option for you.

They hold a generally equal stability. What matters is the kernel youre using. guevenors kernel is aparantly very stable. I dont know myself, Im running the kernel included in EOS build 19 still, which is stable for me.
I suggest you try out the roms for yourself and pick the one you like best

Yes if you want to go back to stock, just flash the official firmware from Asus in recovery.
Ok. Here is it. I have seen a stable build of Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G, REMEMBER IS (G)!!!! Don't reply me with the answer of S2 without the G, I'm asking the[G] Version. So the stable build was here http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=i9100g&type=stable for the [Direct Download: cm-9.1.0-i9100g.zip ] So i wondering if it really stable and safe. So, here the Question.
1ST:Is it safe to flash? Will it brick? Worth it? And what Android version IS IT?
2ND:Is this CWM Good, Working, and Safe to flash? So, i'm giving 2 link, (Not downloaded from here)=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631934 and i found these word=This is a kernel including ClockworkMod Recovery for use on Samsung roms.
Don't use this kernel on aosp based roms like CyanogenMod!!!) And this link is where i'm downloaded the CWM and flashed it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683800 because of GT-I9100G_LP7_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.5.0.4 it make me think it is the same from the first link i gave that have LP7 hacked, and i wonder it will it be also not support cynogenmod.
3RD: If the CWM at STEP 2 is not supported, What CWM that is work for SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I9100G and Flash able to cynogenmod with not PROBLEM!
4ST: Anyone have this on their Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G? Is everything WORKING FINE? Is the Performance and Battery Good?
5ST: Do i need to factory reset the phone before and after? And can anyone tell me the step if you can?
My phone is rooted and my battery is so bad and i wonder is this rom good for battery and performance. I'm afraid of bricking my phone because of the CWM. I installed cwm on galaxy 5 and it died. So This is important information to me. and PLEASE ANSWER ALL MY QUESTION CAREFULLY!
Dear Moderator or OP, Please Delet the same post i posted at general in Galaxy S2 Gt-i9100 forum.
hi i recently bought Tab2 P3100
i want to install Custom rom and cwm but worried about the Triangle Thing for the Future Servicing if i req.
an u help me in choosing best rom for gaming
and to put away to avond Triangle or Flash Counter
Wrong section...
This is the wrong section to post this but i will answer anyways. For a good fast rom i would recommend a stable build of cyanogen mod. So version 9.1 u could use. Or aokp is another good rom.
And for the triangle away part i would worry to much about it because from what i understand it is fairly easy to reset the flash counter to 0.
how abt sungsonic or df

thats y i had to ask again i didnt want her to face the same problems as mine .
so if the process and the files are the same that is required then if u suggest i go ahead with the cyanogen mod or omni rom i will start installing it

Weird, you're the first I heard who has complains about Neatrom (did you try to install the lastest 6.8 version?)
Anyway, the process is the same for all custom roms, the only different is that philz recovery was updated from 6.7.9 to 6.14.5

i have tried with the philz 6.04.5 which u had suggested for me while in my inquiry for my phone.well shortly today i got frustrared and tried installing the neatrom v 5.7 for samsung galaxy s2 gt i9100 well it was a wooping big file almost 738 mb but that also installed as per ur instructions and read aurthor sale post on how to install but now the problem i am facing is after completely installing everything the first boot as per the neatrom v 5.7 aurthor should be around 10 min but for me it jus shows the neat rom animation screen again and again and the phone jus keeps getting hot from the back i cant seem to get into the main screen well looks like i m done for i guess
the steps i followed for the neat rom v 5.7 (4.1.2) instalation are
1-copied both the neat rom v 2.8(4.4.2) and v 5.7(4.1.2) zip files ,gapps (AIO_gapps.4.4.2.build.2.1), philz_touch_6.07.9-i9100,zip ,CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100,zip files to the sd card
2- flashed odin v 3.09 with file PhilZ-cwm6-XWLSZ-OJC-5.15.9.tar,md5 and got philz recovery installed
3- then installed philz_touch_6.07.9-i9100,zip from sd card to update philz touch recovery to 6.04.5( it shows the 6.04.5 after updating)
4- the wiped system clean for new rom installation, wiped cache, wiped delvik cache form advanced settings, formatted /system &/preloads from mounts and storage
5- installed the neat rom v5.7 (4.1.2)and it installed everything
but at the first reboot it jus keeps flashing the neat rom circle animation and that it jus keeps flashing that again an again i waited for like 25 min on that screen and then felt the phone heaating up from the battery back side on my hand so i switched it off completely
i dont know wat steps i did wrong or did i miss something i kept reading through all the various post and cant seem to get a solution for it
is the philz touch recovery 6.15.4 compatible for the galaxy s2 gt i9100
plz if there any solution for the problem i m facing plz i need some advice

Flash the lastest 6.14.4 from here: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9100
and try again after wipe (you're doing anything as should).
Few questions:
Does Neatrom installation log mention any errors while installing?
Maybe you should try to disable neat's boot animation (possible as part of the aroma install)
Are you trying to install this version: http://goo.gl/qRDYgf ?
If still no go, describe your actions at aroma installer, or try asking at rom's thread, perhaps they'll better aswers.
BTW- does kitkat version work as should?

Hi
I am new in this forum so bare with me I have had the Asua transtormer infinity tf700t since it came out in 2012. It ia 100% stock with the android 4.2.1 intalled. I dont think i runs as well as it had done running on the earlier android versions. I just got a hold on a Asus nexus 7, also 100% stock on android 4.4.2, whch runs much better. I know that the nexux diveces are running smooth, but i think that a transformer tf700t can run much better then it does now. I am thinking about trying a costum rom wich i think will run much better. But I am not sure if there is a very good rom out there yet. Is there a rom where everything is working fot the tf700t like bluetooth, wifi, sound, camera, mic and alle the other stuff??? It is also very importent for me that the dock is working like it should and the usr of a external sd card in both the tablet itselve and the dock!
The only reson that I consider using another rom is that I dont think it is running as it could. I have tried doing a factory reset mant times...
Is there a good rom outthere yet or should I wait???? Which one should I use if there are a good one?????
PS I am not an advanced user, but I doo know how to use a computer and follow a guide Apparently I am not that good at English eighter...

I'm pretty sure once you run a custom rom you are going to kick yourself you waited this long
A ROM for "everything works like stock including all dock functions only much, much better": CROMi-X 5.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425383
A KitKat ROM: CM11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957660
CyanogenMod ROMs are developed from the ground up and then forked for specific devices. Since they don't use Asus firmware they have to use generic drivers for keyboard etc. Expect some bugs but most things work. Check their thread for current issues
Another KitKat ROM: CROMBi-KK
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672751
Two weeks young, a hybrid of CROMi-X and CM11 on CM11 base. It's still in beta, so there are bugs
For your first custom rom I would recommend CROMi-X. Read the OP of it's thread very carefully and then browse through it. To read it all you need to take a few days off
And finally here are some instructions how to flash them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688891
