Battery wont charge - LG Optimus 3D

I have problem with my Optimus 3D. I am using V28 ICS ROM since it leaked. Yesterday, i had about 50% battery while i was playing game. After 5 minutes phone shutdown. I thought that battery drained couse of playing. But i couldn't charge it. It is always 1% of battery (there is icon of charging). When i am disconnecting charger, the phone can run all day but with screen off. When iam turning screen on and iam doing something, for example browsing internet the phone turning off after a short while. One or two times, percentage of battery was about 96%, but battery was fast drained. I was trying charging from usb, AC and with other charger... but problem still exists. Any idea how to fix it? Is it battery problem, phone or maybe software?

I'm having the same problem. Haven't found any conclusion.

I installed V30a using Lg Flash Tool emergency software revocering, but with no result.. Still cant charge battery. Is there any possiblity to "refresh" battery info? Clear cache or something like that?

Your battery might be tired or probably you have corrupted bootloader. First, if you have SD Maid, have it delete battery log, charge your phone to 100%, then drain it to 10% and repeat - sometimes you have to calibrate the battery charge checker to ensure it's correct - and try new battery also to be sure.

I had nandroid restored of wanhu's rom from khalpowers.
it was working fine, suddenly this problem occured.
then i restored to rusmod, khalpowers but no change.
note that USB port is working i could connect memory card storage to pc well.
I took off the battery when it was at 40% last night.
and when i put it back in the morning it was dead.
connecting to charger shows big battery icon with "?".later on only the 4 leds up.
will have to check for new battery then only i can use rsdlite flash.
This has happened to me back in Feb. My theory is the phone gets confused about how charged the battery is and enforces some mechanism to protect the battery incorrectly. The way I got out of it is to start it charging and watch carefully to keep it from booting. Every time it starts to autoboot, yank the battery and put it back. Repeat this for a few hours. Then do the battery calibration proceedure. I eventually got a wall charger and an extra battery because I got sick of this game and flashing ROMs seems to make it happen often (I do a lot of flashing ).

Yes i connected it to wall charger, leds lit up.half an hour later phone booted.
the market battery app showed 5% battery but phone notified connect charger and went off.
what if it charged to full and phone behaves the same.then how battery calibration will be done.cannot delete the battery bin file then.
can we delete files using openrecovery?

Q how do I recalibrate battery?

I put a new rom on the phone and calibrated the battery via clockwork after the phone was charged to 100%. I took it off the charger after that and messed around with the phone for a while. The phone had 95% when I went to bed. When I woke up the phone was at 68%. What could cause this? The phone has never done this before until I calibrated the battery. Thanks you all so much

Just use the phone normally for a few days. It will calibrate itself.
OK thank you. Should I let it die then recharge??
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
I have read so many articles about how to re-calibrate android battery and most of them involves deleting the batterystats.bin and this requires root. What worked for me without deleting batterystats.bin is this: disable fastboot from settings>>power
use your phone until it turns itself off then turn it on again. It should say that battery is at 1%. Use it until it turns itself off again. If it is really at 1%, then it should turn itself off right away. Charge it until the light is green and continue charging it for another hour. After an hour, pull the plug, turn it on, and you are good to go.
Try what works for you best but this is what I did for mine.
Edit: The idea here is to let android know the minimal charge state of the battery.
Thanks you all I am rooted and use cm7. I will give that a try and let you know how it goes

Hmm, the Android Revolution-Thread says says something else.
I quote " After flashing Android Revolution HD my battery drains much faster. What can I do?
A: Please charge your battery to 100%, boot your device in ClockworkMod Recovery and go to Advanced ---> Wipe Battery Stats "
You can also use " Battery Calibration " from the Market

[Q] Huge Battery Drain on Reboot

Hello Folks,
I m facing a wierd prob on my device from last 3 days and its about my battery. its not about how frequently my battery is Draining. When i charged my Mobile fully to 100% and Reboot the device , after reboot the Battery comes to 93%. same when my device was on 35% and after reboot it came down to 3% WTF.
I thought its battery callibaration prob. i was on DDLF2 when this prob occured so i made Full Flash using XXKPE--> XXKPQ. But still prob Persisted. Then i used a app Called Battery Callibration From market By "Nema" and follow the Procedures as mentioned by app to callibrate my battery. bt still the prob persist.
one more thing , after doing 100% charge the app showed battery has 4185 mV of charge and After the reboot the perc. came down to 93% then app showed the battery still had 4122 mV but with 93%.
im currently on Stock XXKPQ
I'm having this problem aswell. Don't you worry, its quite offten appear after flashing. Use your phone as usual ant and your battery stats get normal after couple weeks. Don't do any calibrations, android does it by himself.

Thanks mate , i will try it and post feedback after a week
Charge to 100%, drain to 5-10%, charge to 100%. Repeat a few times. This is battery calibration, the app does not work.
I feel battery calibration is most rediculous method that android users have to do. A dumb nokia 3310 can show us accurate battery indicator even if we reboot it 100 times.
Google developers really have to concentrate on this battery part.

It is normal for a newly flashed ROM. I always had 20% drain after reboot after new flashes. It's normal if:
1. Newly flashed rom - let the android calibrates itself.
2. Fully charged battery which was left attached to the power source for sometime. Battery discharges itself quietly despite it showing 100%.

Probably you need a new battery...there's a limit to how many charges...happened to me, my battery was no more than 12 months old...try this..charge with the phone on till 100%, then shut down the phone, charge with phone off till 100%..switch on the phone and if you do not get 100%, repeat the process until you have 100%...
me too, when my phone fully recharge (showing 100%),I reboot it. after I reboot it shows 92%

[Resolved] [Q] Battery / Batstat Issue? Please help.

Hello, my Karbonn A9+ really lacks on battery capacity (1450 mAh) that's why I bought a modded S3 battery (2100 mAh) and it really fit.
Everytime my cellphone shuts down due to low battery. I start to think that its clear that my battery is drained. But once I turn it ON again. The indicator shows around 10-20%. Until it shuts down again. Then I'll turn it ON the second time. Indicator shows around 10-20% again.
Its really annoying cause, I don't even know when will my phone really drain or gets to at least "please recharge your phone" state.
I've tried resetting my battery stats and still have this. I also tried draining my battery to 0 (after multiple times of turning on). and still have this.
Please help me!!!
Thanks in advance!

You charge the phone off least 7-8 hour. After you use phone when battery shows %5 then go to recovery and wipe battery stats and again charge the phone off least 7-8 hour. It will fix. If it won't fix you continue give full charge closed phone 2-3 times  sorry bad english

Hi peeweew ,
then what is status now?
-
hi, you have tried battery calibrator. it helps on some phones, on mine it didn't work, i also tried to do the cleaning of the battery stats still it didn't work..
the solution which i found was that you try to use a different charger and it will fix. when your phone shuts down plug in the different charger and then wipe the stats.
it worked for me, should work for you..
Press thanks if helped!!!!
I think my battery is now ok. Tried everything you people suggested. Thanks for the help!

Charging time

Hello, I have bought rooted htc sensation and am very upset with it's charging time, it takes about one hour to charge 10% of battery. Example today I started charging it at 7:05 when it had 49%of battery. Now it's 11:06 and battery shows 88%. I know it's not normal. Is there any way how to fix it, or maybe test my phone somehow? Should new battery solve this problem?

Try deleting battery stats in recovery, this can lead to misreading. Also, usually the battery is higher than the percentage shown, just reboot your phone and you'll see how much battery is left (one time it showed me 2% when I actually had 45%, but that's because I put my phone in a -20C freezer).

Try the 'battery calibration' app on the play store, I believe it can do this. But keep in mind that the battery an lose it's calibration with time, and even if uncalibrated, it will last about the same (although the OS starts saving at 30%).
Battery calibration didn't helped. But I noticed strange thing:
My friend also has htc sensation and his battery fully charges in 4hours. I exchanged my battery with him and charging time is same! He fully charged my battery from 14% to 100% 4 hours and my phone still charges very slow. I started charge his battery from 44%, at first it was charging very fast, but after 4hours it charged only to 88%. I rebooted phone and then it showed 100%. Where is the problem? My phones charges very slow with any battery. I don't want to reboot it every time to show 100%

Wiping battery stats won't help you.
Put your phone to charge overnight, discharge it completely. Do this for a few days.
Do not wipe battery stats, or you'll have to go all over again.
Happy to help.
