Hey, All
My One S(S4 CPU) have some strange problem.
My device is testing with TD9.1 and ViperOneS V2.2 ROM.
S-OFF
HBOOT 2.15
RADIO 1.11
when I connect to Win7-32 bit
Computer Show HTC One S(MTP Device) and I can access internal Storage.
when I connect to Win7-64 bit
Computer Show HTC One S(MTP Device) but when I try to access internal Storage, the Windows explorer Hangs.
I'm trying with HTC MTP device 64-bit(V1.0.0.4 and V1.0.0.5) on Win7-64 bit.

BTW, I bought a HTC New One(801e) and plug it to the same laptop, same OS. It working fine without any setting change.

MTP mounting in viperrom worked fine for me on windows 7 64bit. Maybe you have another program that's trying to add/use the drive when you plug it in. Media players, music players, disk mounters, antiviruses sometimes do this. Try disabling autoplay and disabling things in task manager.

HTC touch HD, driver problem, please help :(

Hi,
I have HTC touch HD and I have problem with
usb conection phone < - > pc
I have windows 7 and my pc detect the htc like mass storage but it cant install driver for it or find one for htc
and I cant use my htc on pc .....
I saw that many people have the same problem with driver
do you have some driver or solution for this problem.
I have installed windows mobile device centar but nothing...
it cant just install driver for my HD
I flashed my phone with another rom but after that is a same problem....
please help
tnx
I don't have my PocketPC anymore, but It looks like you set your Touch HD to be automatically recognized as a USB Storage Device... just change it to Activesync inside Control Panel in your Touch HD and Win7 Mobile Device will detect it with no problem.

Problem with connecting my phone to my PC in USB/Harddisk mode (only in some ROMs)

Hi out there.
Like mentioned in some threads in dev section i have problem in some ROMs with connecting my phone to my PC in USB/Harddisk mode (but only in some).
When i get connected i see the window where i can choose the mode but when i use USB/Harddisk mode the sdcard is going to be unmounted and nothing happens.
I can see drive letter in my PC but i can't get access.
USB-Debugging is on in every Rom.
The Roms i get no problem:
- All Virtuous Unity Roms
- Shipped Pre-rooted Desire S stock by Adidas108
- RCMix3d 3.5 S v1.2 [Stock & OC Kernel] by proxuser
The Roms where i have the problem:
- VoidU
- All OTA Roms by proxuser, michaelm007
- Hyperion/Endymion
So cause it works sometimes i don't think its a hardware defect.
Maybe it is driver related?
I have installed various HTC Sync versions, AlpharevX fastboot drivers, uninstalled, reinstalled... no changes.
So what drivers do you use?
Other ideas?
Interesting for example michaelm007's Untouched Saga don't work and Pre-rooted stock by Adidas108 works.
I think i have the same problem. Windows 7 just saying unrecognized device. With some roms my phone only charge and with some roms it pop up that is connected to PC and what type of connection i want.
I have no problems with usb connecions
Try to download the lastest htc drivers,
And anyway, there is a program, named Android commando(or something like this,i don t remenber very well)where you can open your phone on the pc also in charging mode, like adb.
With this you can open the android system,so system, data etc.. and the sd card
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App
cant find the program.

Problems with drivers for MT4GS and win 7

So I have an unrooted standard MT4GS phone and trying to start the rooting procedures, but my computer is not recognizing the phone in anyway other than in disk drive mode. When installed all of the fast boot drivers, standard drivers, HTC sync, rebooted both computer and device, it still is not recognized at all. I have usb debuggin on and i have tried all modes when connected to pc (tethering, disk drive (recognizes it as a removable disk), and charge only). Any ideas what I am doing fundamentally wrong? PS I have searched the forum multiple times for answers but to no avail. Thanks in advance.
I think I have a solution, but I'm not sure. I think you are missing the drivers for it. Google HTC Drivers and it should be the one that's named HTC Drivers 3.0.0.7 or something similiar.
Make sure USB debugging is turned on...

Try going into Control Panel ===>System===>Device Manager ===>USB Controlers & you should see a listing for a Mass Storage Device. If you'll right click on that & reinstall drivers it might get you going. I had to do that myself. It may not want to overwrite the installed ones so you might have to uninstall & REinstall.
You need to install HTC Sync, it will provide the drivers for Windows 7.. after it's installed you can just plug in the device and windows will find and install it. Then you have to close HTC Sync and continue.

[Q] Problem with USB mass storage

Solved: Hopefully this helps someone else. I uninstalled all LG drivers from my PC. Then I connected my phone in via usb and checked my device drivers and updated them. However, rather than letting Windows find the best MTP drivers I chose to browse my computer and picked from a list on my PC. I selected the Linux drivers and everything works perfectly now,
I have a P509 running WC’s AOKP Milestone #6 but I did something stupid…while cleaning up files and programs I uninstalled my LG usb driver for my P509 and now I can’t get the PC to recognize the phone. I run W7 64 bit and it just won’t connect - not even from recovery. On another XP PC it connects no problem (it has LG driver 4.9.4 installed although I don’t recall installing it) and my laptop running W7 64 bit connects no problem either (it has LG driver 3.6 installed, but again I don’t recall installing it on the laptop either). Installing 4.9.4 or 3.6 on my problem PC doesn’t help. I keep getting an error that “MTP… whatever” failed. It’s driving me nuts. I can use the other computers if I need to but the problem PC is my main unit and more convenient to use for all my needs. Also, the phone is recognized by my work PC which has no LG drivers installed at all, nor could I if I wanted to as I don't have admin rights.
Any suggestions for my W7 PC?
Thanks,

Internet pass-through

Hei!
I can`t connect my HTC via internet pass-through. This is what htc manager sync shows: http://i41.tinypic.com/2emdkj7.jpg
This is the last version of htc manager sync...so this is not the problem.
I`m using ViperS 5.0.0. Anyone knows how to solve this ?

You dont need to run Sync manager for internet pass-trough, its just enough to have sync manager installed for latest drivers, and from USB connection menu on your phone select proper connection type.
Make sure in your network connections on your PC there is new network adapter installed named HTC REMOTE NDIS...
And also probable it will not work on windows xp, or if you have any other issues with your pc like Antivirus blocking it, or in general your pc is messed up..
