Updated 05/23/2013:
Stock base ROM that anyone can use for mods, cooking, theming, etc.
Download: m7_stock_dev_1.29.1540.16_signed_052313.zip (now includes /data/preload apps)
Base rom: HTC One Developer Edition v1.29.1540.16
- Stock Kernel + mods:
- /system/etc/init.d support
- Disabled /system write protection via init.rc call to insmod /system/lib/modules/wp_mod.ko
- /data/preload apps included and flashed with rom.
- Stock ROM + mods:
- Deodexed, zip-aligned
- Rooted with SuperSu apk and su binary.
- /system/lib/modules/wp_mod.ko included.
- Busybox, with symlinks in updater-script
Please don't ask for additional mods or features, it won't happen (at least not by me). I'm only providing this as a stock base rom for other's to customize as they see fit. It's the base for my current daily driver.
FAQ:
1. Can I flash this on an AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. One? Yes, any GSM model will do (NOT Sprint or VZW). Just unlock bootloader, install custom recovery, and flash away.
2. Will I get Dev Edition OTA updates? Yes and no. Yes, you will receive notification of updates and they will download and attempt to install, but the installation will fail because (1) you're running a custom recovery and (2) the OTA updates do a CID and MID check and anything other than CID BS_US001 (or super cid) and MID PN0712000 will fails this check, and (3) this rom is deodexed so OTA's can't be applied anyway (OTA's do binary file patching of .apk and .odex files.)
But, fear not -- if an OTA for the Dev Edition is released then this thread will be updated to that release in short order.
3. Can I ask the OP stupid, lame questions without first reading the entire thread and searching for a solution on XDA? No, you can't. I'll just ignore them. (but relevant questions from reasonable people are always welcome!)

Thank you!! Is this scripted to flash the boot.img? Or do we need to flash via fastboot?
It will flash boot.
Other than this being a dev 64gig room would this flash on a normal 32 att phone?

Hi guys, to begin I am not a developer.
I notice that a lot of people want to come back on Official Froyo Rom for differentes reasons (S-Off their device in general).
RUU don't work very fine with goldcard or people who are on a Gingerbread rom. It also unroot the devices. So I propose you Official Froyo Rom 2.2 zip.
It doesn't unroot your device, doesn't change your Hboot and doesn't change radio. It only change the rom
1) Download Bravo_WWE_2.29.405.5_v5
2) Flash 2.x.x.x recovery (CWM 3.x.x.x version doesn't work with froyo rom)
2.5.0.7 is the best version : .img and .zip
3) Full wipe via Recovery
4) Install the "update.zip" in Recovery
5) Reboot
6) Enjoy
If you want S-Off your device, it's Here

Seems like a great idea to make stock ROM for recovery
Will it remove our custom HBOOTS (by alpharev), or will they stay untouched? If not removed, which will work with this ROM?
Will we stay S-OFF with this ROM??
I thought that "root" was stored in ROM-part of the memory, but i guess not I know it's the official, but is Superuser Included?
What makes this different from Teppic's pre-rooted stock 2.2 ROM?
- To go through some other points, CWM 3.x.x.x will work fine with this ROM unless you're using an update-script instead of the newer updater-script
- You don't need to rename the ZIPs in a custom recovery
No offence but this is a pointless thread as there are already stock FroYo ROMs available

I won't remove your custom Hboot, it's stock rom so you need Stock Hboot, you can download here : Here
It's doesn't unroot your phone, so if you are rooted, Superuser will stay

It's always nice that more people take up Rom development, but as Eddy said with no mods at all, this is exactly what teppic74 has posted, namely a stock rooted Rom.
Anyway, include the following info too in your OP:
Rooted/not?
Busybox?
Version of su?
Init.d support?
Kernel-(if stock, mention that) etc...
One more thing..the term OTA suggests that this is the OTA patch that HTC sent over the network, which doesnt exactly descibe a complete stock rooted rom..
Welcome to ROM development.

Might be a stupid question in which case I apologize but is this Sense 3.5? I didn't realise TMo sent out a full ROM update. Thought it was just that small OTA. Thanks in advance.
This rom is sense 3.0 and T-Mobile didn't send out a full rom update. I got my hands on the 1.50.531.1 RUU which i made a full rom from.
Which Radio and ril do you recommend (for USA) with this?

So far, so good. Running nicely with Faux 0.2.7r. Already de-sensed though because I forgot how much I dislike Rosie launcher.

A.1 - About The Rom
What is "Back To The Basics"?:
Back To The Basics (B2TB) is a custom rom that uses the full style of the Sidekick style UI, just without the bloatware and useless crap on it.
Whats in the rom:
Basically its all stock KJ2 with some tweaks to the build.prop, almost no bloat ware from tmobile, and added Apps that i personally like, but, subjected to removal if requested often. Some of these apps include WiFi Kill, Skype(modded for Froyo), and XDA.
Whats the point of making this rom:
The main reason i built this is that i love the stock UI if this phone, i love how unique it is, how its built around texting, and how nice it looks, but, there was too much bloat restricting it. I built on the KJ2 Deodex and removed the bloatware (well the stupidly useless one's), along with adding apps that i use on a daily basis like Skype and XDA. Along on my journeys of looking around on these forums, i found tweaks that could be very useful in the rom that i added to it.

I can't seem to get this to work for me. Each time (and I've tried 3), I soft brick. Now, this more than likely isn't hte ROM. When I check all my mounts and such and try to unmount system, nothing changes. I ODIN back to stck, root, reinstall ROM Manager, clockwork, etc, but I end up with the same thing. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Feel free to use this but I accept no responsibility for the results - read up before you flash!
This is a collaboration between radavs and me and is primarily for Telstra users but can be modified for any carrier in build.prop.
I use this on a daily basis and have had no issues for a week solid.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All apps working - including video camera.
Removed some bloat (Telstra Navigator, Google plus, Polaris, pdf viewer)
English language only - other languages removed - they can be pulled from the original OTA zip (which can be found here on the forums) and added to the rom.zip before flashing.
There are no screen shots because we all know what a stock rom looks like......

Wiper had error twice on startup and then is fine, however I removed wiper.apk and the odex for it from zip and rewiped and reflashed.
Added Superuser.apk to apps folder (in ROM zip file before flashing) and it installs with ROM no probs.
When checking with 3G/4G Speed Optimizer pro it states /24/6 when with ICS it used to be 12/24/6 and I found line "ro.ril.gprsclass=12" missing from build.prop.
Mind you this is also missing from the stock JB Telstra ROM OTA update file so have left it out until I can do some 4G speed tests.
This is all I have found and will be running this 24/7 and will let you know how it goes. Thanx heaps for doing this as I have no idea how to root etc the OTA and wanted the stock Telstra settings in my device so this is awesome!!
Triple thumbs up!!
Nice work Pablo11
I will give this one a try soon
Any change from the Asia build to this one looks like the same build number

Damn! I thought I pulled out that wiper.apk! It's useless anyway.
Thanks for the superuser feedback. I did add the binaries to the rom but not the superuser apk. At the time I built this there were root issues and feedback was to flash the zip. Shows how long ago I built it
To be honest optimizer pro is not needed with these new roms. I am getting best ever speeds with this rom and I hardly ever use LTE.
I did notice some changes in the build.prop and the line you mention is one of them.
Seems like some values are not needed on Telstra's newer network.
Sorry about the dowload links everyone. I have a 3 day suspension from Dropbox and nowhere else to upload it

Not that I know of. The release is basically the same but the Video camera is working well and it's really just so Telstra users have a base with their settings as stock. I just like the smoothness on this build too.
Anyone tested Google Movies with this? The Asia update seems not to allow rented movies.

Ok I've modified Pablo11 rom to include the kernal, SU and working wiper(so no error while loading)
I'm at work atm so I will post it here once I have uploaded it to my server after work(which maybe 12am and onwards)
PS. Local time is 11:45am
Thanks mate. I really appreciate it. I just don't have the time to invest but I wanted to get it out there for people.
Cheers.

It's a very nice base. Very smooth and reliable.

Just out of interest, how did I break the wiper app?
I actually forgot to remove it. I was told it's just another way of Google knowing where you are. I don't like the way they do that stuff without telling us.

This is a stock ROM but because it's not running on the firmware update that it came bundled with in the OTA update there's some kind of mismatch happening, thus causing these signal drops and random reboots. If you plan on trying the latest Telstra radio I'd suggest taking the firmware update route, I flashed the radio while still on the 2.14 hboot and it performed terribly. I think it works like this:
If you're on hboot 2.15, previous radios work terribly but latest works well.
If you're on <2.15 previous radios work well but latest radio works terribly.
I've only tested while on the lower hboot (<2.15) so far though.

I can understand most peoples frustration but from my testing I can confirm that if you are on the 1.09 Hboot and you use any of the JB 4.2.2 roms you are going to have these issues. As soon I upgraded through all Hboots(RUU+OTA's) to 2.15 I have had trouble free service on a stock & beastmode kernals.

Things that work with this ROM
- Beastmode Reloaded 3.5 kernel
Things that DON'T work with this ROM
- You tell me
-I don't know if zoe mod works with this(it should) as I don't care for this mod
I have installed Xposed framework and now have APM, themed icons, modified notification bar.
Running Beastmode kernel.
So far running a lot smoother than any other rom I've used before.
What's the difference between this and the tmobil port?

T-Mobile 5.08 isn't a port and neither is this Telstra ROM.
Both are stock ROMs.
Differences will be carrier apps, carrier settings like APN, default qwerty keyboard, language, build.prop settings like fingerprint and such.
Anything pulled the radio out of this yet?

Both Telstra 5.06 and T-Mobile 5.08 are using the same radio. I believe both are using 1.31a.32.45.16_2_10.141.32.34a
If you want the Telstra radio - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45543810&postcount=1249

I agree I've been running this since last night and it is just like butter.
It also seems faster than the other base. with less glitches.
It rebooted once but since I installed beast mode problem free.
Thanks

I've been running Beastmode for 5 days on this without issues compared to a few reboots on viper 4 & 4.1.
You should try it if you want the extras from the his Kernel

OK will do as I love the S2W feature!!
I wanted to try to download your rom to rebase mine but the download speeds were unexceptable. It was never going to finish at that rate. Had to cancel it.

Great work. I've been waiting for stock Telstra Rom to drop. Just flashed this morning and running beastmode. Have xposed with sense toolbox. Running great so far. Thanks.
Can some one running this ROM check if you can move app to internal storage in the app info screen.

Hi I am running with xposed framework and xprivacy on the Optus network in aus. I am getting numerous reboots and the mobile network drops out, seemingly, when the phone sleeps. I am also getting calls dropping out. This came from a clean flash. Is anyone else having similar issues? Is there some edits that need to be made to build.prop for Optus?
Thx
