I am posting this in the belief that people who keep changing ROMs might find it useful.
I backed up my Swift-Li v3 ROM a short while ago using Online Nandroid Backup v3.0.2. The app breezed through the process. Screenshots attached. The great thing is Micromax A110 Canvas 2 phone is well-supported.
Edit: Restore also worked absolutely fine.
Also use nandroid manager to restore any part or full nandroid backup.

When I use CWM to back up my Rom does it back up any modifications that I have made.
I am running Virtuous Unity 1.31 but I have also installed the keyboard without arrows and Blue Unity theme.
Will these modifications stay in the backup or will I have to reinstall them again if I have to reinstall my Rom.
Thanks in advance.

when you do a nandroid backup everything in your phone except your radio, hboot & recovery get saved
so if you restore your backup it is exactly like how it was when you made the backup

then u may use super backup backup all apps and restore it at a later stage it backups all app to external storage then u may go to path find apk and install it simple
Super backup pro is also a good source

this is regarding an app that uses "Online Nandroid". don't get me wrong - i'm fairly new to android, but keen to learn further. i look forward to help and also comments from the forum members about what works well and what doesn't. i'm currently on JMP v11 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2025391) and my issues while running "Online Nandroid Backup * ROOT" app surfaced after i installed that rom. this apart, i've had no other issues with that rom till now.
in the beginning i had issues with lack of space (due to sdcard not being detected). after being told that it was a busybox-related error, i installed busybox pro v9.7.2 (latest) and somehow the rom backup completed. but, lots of errors were seen. do you think the backups thus created are reliable? click link to stitched pics for ready reference (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?b5dce8oortaj8r5 - pics 2 and 4 from left)
earlier i was on swift-li v4 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2233033) and i had no issues while using Online Nandroid Backup * ROOT app. click link to stitched pics for ready reference (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?b5dce8oortaj8r5 - pics 1 and 3 from left)
my phone is "micromax a110 canvas 2". but in my current rom it shows up as GT-I9300. would that be causing the issues? how do i get rid of those errors and create reliable backups, which, when restored, will work flawlessly.
thanks in advance for any help.
It's online nandroid backup.
