I have HTC Sensation and from last 2/3 days I am having Touchscreen Issues..
Below Of the display touch is not working and on the LED Backlit buttons , are working but have to press the side of the Keys to make it work.. It seems the keys got shifted..
Below is the pic to give example..

}
In the above Image, The yellow part is not working , have to press just above the LED keys to make the keys work and it presses 2 words instead of one..
In the red part keys are working , but have to press somewhere in sides dont know exactly where but hit and try makes it work ( after 2/3 times trying) on the green area..
Other than this the other area touch is working fine...
Please help how to fix it ?
What is the background of this problem? What triggered this? Any ROM flashed? Or charged with a wrong charger?

nop was cleaning the sides of the display as there was some dust... cleaning with a soft brush , and haven't given any pressure on the switches or the area where the prob occurred.. its simply occurred when I tried to switch on after cleaning was done

Look on eBay. Its not terrible if you do the work yourself.
If you need to have a shop do it you will need to call one and get a price quote.

Now its annoying me as well, i have another sensation and when i place the new cover the creaking stops, but i have a skin protector on this one so im reluctant to change it !.... oh I had this phone 2 days! lol
I phoned Vodafone about this, and they are aware of the problem. They told me to pop to a store, and they would change the back housing
Question is how long will it been till that starts creaking!!?? Fml lol

When you are referring to the back housing are you referring to the cover or parts on the phone itself?

I'm refering to the back cover mate around near the search key. The creaking is affecting the right side of the phone all the way to the middle of the screen.. its really annoying

Here's a quick and easy fix: Buy this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and get a cotton swab. Soak the tip in the dry lube. Then rub the tip where I've shown in this picture:
Phone feels brand new.
Can this be claimed under warranty? The creaking is caused by the cover having a bit of a gap (<1mm) at the bottom, right under the serach button.
Hello friends I have a question ... How I can clean the dust that comes under my screen, I never thought that this phone would allow that, HTC sensation has given me many headaches, before the signal, then the battery life , then the warming and now this ****, damm wtf ...I don't know if was a good idea buy this phone after all.

Could you take some picture and upload it? Is this not the same with dust issue under screen which majority of us facing it? Search for the thread of dust issue ^^

He means the dust issue...Not powder, as in loose dust shaking around in the bottom, that's silly. Just return the phone. Mine is free of dust now.
Matt
Can the OP upload picture of the powder? I heard the dust usually come from right & left middle of screen. Never heard from bottom yet..

Well my phone dropped off my chair and broke the glass... Sucks...
Should I order the screen with the lcd or just the screen and digitizer??? Anyone replaced the screen yet??? I've done iphones and itouchs... Not a android yet...
TIA

In another thread somewhere here on XDA, someone covered this. Pretty sure he said to get both because separating the old and rejoining the new perfectly was near impossible. Search for the post to confirm.

I actually just replaced both of them, just finished.
Turned it on and this is the screen I get:

Kinda rainbow noise. Did I break a ribbon or connector, or did I simply put it together wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated. Made a good faith effort as searching for previous threads with this specific problem and didnt see anything.

I fix phones for a side job.. it looks like the screen you got either arrived DOA with a damaged ribbon cable, or you damaged it or the connections inside when installing. Unfortunately, most places don't accept returns on equipment that has been installed and taken off.

Can I say something?!
You could use a mouse button - the left or right one, they are way to small and not so noticeable. And more they are just like the native button, working more on gesture - long press shuts down, short press lock screen, than the physical state.And try to make a small hole on the phone in order to hide it as much as possible. And use some sugru or hot glue to fix it well.
Here's the photo of the mouse button I was reffering to. Sorry it's just big, original file, not elaborated.
Anyway good job that you got it solved.
Hi everybody today my phone felt out of my pocket and the volume rocker is broken . Can HTC repair this damage ? And will it be included in warranty ? And how expensive will it be if not?
P.S: The phone is Rooted

Not warranty, but does it work? You could always change the volume on screen.
HTC_One_S | S-OFF | ViperOneS_2.2.0 | Black-Blue_Sense_Theme | ElementalX_4.2
There doesn't seem to be a dent on the body apart from the paint chipped off. Maybe the rocker is just weak. But still i doubt any warranty.
dont think so
just asked at the shop and they said they wont place it under warranty
anyways, you could always ask them

No Problem! In the one x forum someone had the same problem and send it Tod HTC and they have canged hieß motherboard because he was in root. HTC really sucks. Next time i'll buy samsung. I think other cellphone repair services are much better! And they don't change the motherboard
