Hi all, have 2 quick questions today
1. Was wondering if there's an app that tracks how often and for how long I use an app. I tried searching for analytic tools on the play store and all I get are google analytic apps.
2. Is there a way to keep the keyboard open after sending a message? I've googled a lot of different search terms but I can't seem to find any solutions or definitive yes/no answers
1: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agrvaibhav.AppUsageTracking&hl=no or one of the related apps you'll get on that page.
2: This I think is a dead end, I haven't heard of a way and a few google searches seems to say the same thing that it "can't be done". Don't take my word for it though.
For the record, questions ought to be in the Q&A section of the forum.
Cheers

First off, apologies if i've posted this in the wrong place. It seems i don't have permission to post in the forum that has a page for this particular rom... Anywhoozle, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with google now and searches performed using google now/google search/voice search. it appears that the only search history that google now accesses/uses for the now app is from my browsers (chrome/stock) and anything that i use now/google search/voice search to search for is not integrated into the google now app. for example i was trying to get the status for a flight and i searched it using now/voice search. it will bring up the relevant card and read the status. however, the app doesn't seem to remember what i searched for - it doesn't add the flight card to google now. But, If i search for the flight using google in chrome it will add the flight card to google now. I have the same issue when searching for addresses, google now only adds the card if i perform my google search using a browser. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling google search, even reflashed rom. anyone else have a similar issue?

thanks for the help kennyglass. any chance you can insert this into the slim bean thread in the the original android development forum? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1865328 hoping some of those folks can shed some light on this for me.
I am still encountering the problem on slim 4.2.2 build 8. Anyone else having issues with Google Now?

I'm on build 8. No issues with Google now. Try doing a full wipe. If that doesn't work. Check into the various settings within Google and see if you have something unchecked.

Thanks for your response!
I just recently did a clean install from a full wipe, no change. sidenote: I was not able to get the MegaWipe to flash... so i manually wiped everything even SD card.
Back to Google Now, i have web history enabled and google now can and does show my search results from chrome or any browser in Now. However if i just google search say a flight# by text or voice it does not get added to google now. it was working just fine on tw based roms. anywhere in particular besides Now settings and google settings i can poke around?
Got nothing honestly. I never really bothered to search there. I also don't have history enabled and I use dolphin browser. The cards still come up for me though. I honestly don't know why yours aren't working properly

I purchased an eZine from google play and pinned it on my tf700t. Not really satisfied with the OEM reader, so thinking about finding something with less lag time and the ability to bookmark last read page. I can not, however, find where the pinned file is stored on my device.
Two questions: where is the file? And are there any alternatives to myMagazine app or will any reader open the file (presuming I can find it)?
(mods, bump if necessary...new here)
Thanks in advance
Hello all!
I'm trying to get the old google voice search to work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (n9005). Here's a link to the app in question.
Edit: I'm apparently not allowed to post links since I'm a relatively new member. If you search for "Voice Search" on Google Play, you'll see it.
I dislike the new google voice search and I'd prefer to revert to this. Sadly, even though I did manage to successfully install the app after rooting and removing the newer version, I can't get the voice commands to work. I've done a number of google searches on the subject and I can't find anything helpful. I already have the language set to US English.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Hello xda,
I recently upgraded to the S7 (from 1st gen Moto G lol) and loving it. It serves as a work phone, mainly for contacts, spreadsheets and navigation.
I therefore have two questions:
1) links to either google drive or google sheets implemented in my contacts are always initially opened by a built in browser based on the Samsung Internet app. It's a real pain to have to click through 4 menu's to finally have the sheet open. I reset defaults of all apps involved many a time. Any suggestions?
2) is there any way to force Google Now navigation voice commands to directly open Waze instead of Google Maps navigation?
Sorry if those questions arose somewhere else already, a quick forum search did not reveal any similar topics to me.
Cheers have a great day oll0
Hello,
I recently switched from an iPhone to an S7 and I can't manage to find a way to get a similar experience on my Android device to my iOS device regarding a very important feature, for me at least, Text-to-Speech.
For years now, iPhone owners have been able to simply select any text in any app and have it read out loud to them, feature that I found very useful for internet browsing. After switching I have been searching for a hidden button somewhere in Marshmallow that would allow me to enable this feature, but couldn't find any. I even went through the Play Store but couldn't find any app that had such features. There were some apps that claimed to do this, but they all looked outdated and didn't work all that well.
In the end I can only ask for assistance in here, because I find it hard to believe that such a handy feature didn't make it to Android.
Is there any way of getting anything similar to the iOS experience with Text-to-Speech in Android?
