Found an interesting ui change you can make from inside the stock settings. System settings-->My device - - > accessibility --> negative colors. Not sure if anyone else saw this. It's an interesting change.
Edit: Just noticed something I really don't like about it. The camera is negative as well when using this setting . Same with Facebook and seemingly all images. Looked nice before I noticed that haha. That is also why the image below displays normally atm

Help, what app is giving me the second message notification? I disabled the stock so as you can see hand cent is on. I can not figure out what the other one is. At one point I installed led me know, I feel like that screwed it up. I attached screens below.
Crap it won't let me attach a picture. Adding link, moment please.

It's the default messaging app. Go into the settings in the default app and disable notifications if you're going to use the Handcent ones.
The default is already disabled. The other comment is right, i installed beautiful widgets but I don't see where to disable notifications.

How is the other comment right? The only two notifications you show in the screenshots are default messaging and handcent.

It must be a glitch because default was disabled and it was still showing up. Once I deleted beautiful widgets and add on it went away. I think this was the same issue the other poster had.

When i first came from my evo to the nexus the first thing i noticed was how the screen had a yellow tint. that was easy enough to solve but one thing that i cannot figure out is how to make dark images look better all my wallpapers look like they are blown way up and look like ****. Attached is an example of what im talking about has anyone had this problem, anyone know how to fix this?
Voodoo control

HAHAH..
OP why didnt you just buy an iphone in the first place?
I'm not sure what the second problem you're having is, but if its what I think it is, download quickpic from market and use that to set your wallpapers. Lemme know if you see a difference.

Did you find the thread for the best voodoo settings. Following the settings provided there really helped with the banding on dark colors. Basically changed the contrast.

I looked at that thread but i cannot find a damn kernel that will let me edit all of those settings. all it will let me change is the color profiles. and i really dont want a kernel that uses deep idle.
Deep Idle isn't a problem since you can disable it.
Via script or NSTools from market...
I haven't experienced this in my past Android devices so it's kind of odd.

Pretty sure it's a Sense thing - I imagine the idea is to make sure the viewfinder is as bright as possible.
I haven't noticed it in AOKP, and I've kinda missed it.
But it goes back to original settings shortly after closing it

I'm in awe of the beauty and speed, and love just about every single thing about it. But one little thing bugs me -- the "retro TV off" animation when the screen is blanked.
Is there any way to turn this off?
I don't see an option inside Developer options nor inside Nova Launcher (I'm using beta with the KitKat customizations).
I know it's nit picky. Please don't flame me.

You need a custom ROM, most of them have the ability to edit or turn that off
Edit, this should be in QA

You installed a third party launcher.
Looks normal to me. What do you think is wrong?
Looks just like my setting screen..
Instead of making us guess how about you just come out and tell us what you think is different?

Is it the home setting? No one has a clue what you're talking about...if you want help, at least don't make the people trying to help have to think about what you're problem is.

The best way to get help is by saying what the problem is.
Google is also your friend, not just mine and theirs.
I typed "kitkat settings" and this showed up on images.
