Hi, I'm in South Africa. Got the 32gb I9500 on contract for ZAR399 per month that's about $35-40 US. Includes 100 minutes, 100 text messages and 1gb data per month. To buy out of contract costs about $700-800 here.

Lol I would never pay more than $100 bucks for a phone especially now that newer and better phones are coming out so often. But that sucks though I must admit.
Well 1 penny at amazon. So def not worth returning just for a penny.lol

i paid 260 for mine. bought it from ebay...
it depends, but atleast i m not stuck with it for 2 years, or giving it back early and paying another 100 some for new device.
i will use it five six months and sell it for 240 i guess..
35$ at the shack . Happy so far .
is back at $79.99
its free(+tax) at costco, well at least in northern cali. plus if u break it in the first 90 days, they will still accept it as a full return
Just go to at&t,ask them to price match someone who has it cheaper. I bought a case, car charger, and got screen protectors free (buy 2 get 1 free). And they made the price of the phone free

Same price NO tax on AmazonWireless. Except, ironically, in Cali where I believe Amazon now charges tax.
How broken does it have to be for a Costco return...i.e. will they take a bricked phone? Will they also swap it out for a different model (Infuse?)
Nice find.

What was the original price for the NS4G when it was first released? Trying to figure out how much I'll get back for it when I sell it to Best Buy
599 or 699. I know after 6 months u get like 350 back
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I bought my 4G from BestBuy on release day flat out for $699.99.
Why didn't you have them price match the Sprint retail price? Which is considerably lower. Just saying if you are paying "retail" then you have a case more than disputing a contract price.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
$199 with contract.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
I'm not disputing anything, don't they give you whatever percentage of the retail value back to you with their buy-back program?
Yes. Its 50% within the first 6 months. Here is a link.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Misc/Buy-Back-Program/pcmcat230000050010.c?id=pcmcat230000050010
I wasn't saying anyone was disputing anything. What I meant was, if you were buying it retail you should have told them that Sprint sells it for $549.00. Would have saved you $150.00 on the release day.
Edit: Also in terms and conditions it says that the buyback program does not start til 30 days after the purchase. So in all actuallity you have til the 7th month of purchase to sell it back.

99 dollars isn't bad but i just returned mine to t-mobiles customer service. **** i paid like 340. it was 250 plus tax, which tax sucks in cali. then i had it overnight shipped to me. so i returned it cause of all the issues ive had with it. now im just waiting for the 21st to get my hands on the GS3 since im sure it will cost me the same amount of money as the htc one s did. now i gotta get rid of my screen protector and my case for it lol

Just picked up one of these from bestbuy. Had an issue with having to add a service plan to it, even though we already have one on that line, so I just called the number on their website and it worked out fine.
Also, now T-mobile has this phone for $99, with a $50 mail in rebate...

I don't think that's the point at all since they're going to get returns specifically to trade for the SGS3 (and I'm sure they're aware of this). I do wonder though, if the SGS3 were available today would it be included in the sale? Probably not.

I just called to ask about the Fathers Day sale but it applies ONLY to full upgrade. I'm not due for a full upgrade until September
That sucks!
I'm about to pay $169 for it by doing some other promotion the guy is applying for me since my Galaxy Nexus was just stolen last Thursday.
So full upgrades get the full deal this weekend?

Google announced that they will be selling the stock version of S4 LTE version for £427 ($649) on Google play. Currently the lowest cost sim-free S4 in the UK is £500+. I personally think that the price will drop soon. I am sure it will be a good news for everyone

Not in the U.S.A. it won't.
If we paid US prices on the UK then nearly all of our Sim free phones would be cheaper. This would retail for £499 of it comes to the UK

You're forgetting taxes, and also VAT for the uk
£427 + 20% VAT = £512.40
Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than this as stuff in the UK is rarely the exact figure as the US price + vat

Taxes always make UK prices more expensive. It's why we're called rip-off britain.
Consider the 8gb Nexus 4, a phone sold on the same website as the 'nexus' s4
US Price = $299, which converts to £196
But the 8gb nexus 4 costs £239 here, a 22% increase
So a realistic price for the S4 would be 427x1.22 = £521
Trust me, stuff is always more expensive here, and never the direct currency conversion
Having lived in Australia and Canada I can tell you this country is going to the dogs, its just a shame they're so tight on immigration!
Australian nexus 4 is 20$ more in Australia, I was earning 25$ an hour working in GAP... We get raped in the UK

The price of S4 (LTE) version has dropped to £450 now on amazon. High five for a good prediction! ...no one? ok
For people getting a subsidized phone from a carrier the price for a TW-less SGS4 on Play is pretty much irrelevant. And the masses like "stuff" and the lack of TW won't be perceived as a benefit so if the prices between a Play SGS4 and unlocked SGS4 are close the standard SGS4 will win. When the GN was the same price as the SGS2/3 Samsung only sold 750K of them and it was available subsidized on quite a few carriers. So it’s doubtful that the Play price, which Samsung likely controls (it’s not a Nexus phone), will influence Samsung’s pricing strategy.

Phone will 100% ship factory unlocked.
If he is buying it in America, shipping will be $10 for 3 - 5 day shipping, or $14 for 2 day. Taxes will vary depending on what state he is in.
If it helps at all, my final price was $388 total including shipping and taxes.

in the U.S. a state is like its own little country inside of America. Some have sales tax, some have income tax, some have both.
Most states have some kind of sales tax. It was $10 for shipping on top of the $350, so $388 minus the $360 means I paid $28 in sales tax,
If your friend lives in a state with no sales tax, it would be $360 or $364, depending on what shipping method he used.
There are 50 states and only 5 do not have a sales tax, so odds are your friend will pay some sales tax unless he lives in Alaska, Montana, New Hampshire, Delaware, or Oregon.
Yup I paid $21 in taxes, cos I'm from Maryland. It varies from state to state.
