Is there any way that we can modify the apk & add one more option in the settings pane to 'disable/enable' notifications from 'WhatsApp groups'?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Adding Apps to Settings Apktool / Smali

Hi there, i'm trying to add the xposed apk to the settings menu. I've decompiled the apk, modified the lines of code required, deoxed it (smali / baksmali) and recompiled the apk. Ive pused the settings file back, changed the relevant read write permissions. It shows fine in its directory. Restart phone and settings wont open... Ive got the original settings apk & odex files and as soon as ive pushed those back settings works. Ive tried signing the modified apk, but im just clutching at straws at this point.
Can anyone advice? Has anyone done the same successfully? Appreciated
There's an xposed module that does this sort of thing. Its called xposed preference injector

Personally, I would only add to settings via source code compilation from aosp. Can it even be done using apk tool etc?
Deodexed is much easier for modification

That is awesome, thank you!
Incidentally it was this link that got me trying to integrate Xposed into Settings, seemed quite straight forward

[Q] Is it possible to save contacts in SIM (by default)?

Hi all,
Is there any way (app or hidden option?) to add support to the OPO to save contacts in the SIM card by default? (not only phone memory or google account)
I'm not 100% sure if this is related to the OPO or with Android 4.4... I searched a bit and found out that in the SGS5 you can save contacts directly on the SIM card, so I guess it's possible... but I cannot find the way to do it with the OPO.
And please... I know that SIM cards are obsolote, etc... etc... So please stick to the question. Is it simply not possible? No one implemented a mod or something?
I know that with certain apps you can manage your contacts in the SIM... But I would like to know if there is no other option.
Thanks in advance!!
There are several apps in the play store which can do this for you.

You need to edit your acc xml. I can post the edits for you in a few when I get home if you would like? Then you will always know how to do it yourself.
I could post a flashable Zip for you to remove WiFi nag for good and speed up any Rom you are running.

Thanks! Was driving me completely nuts.
Thank you ... i also was looking for it ...
it was partially encircled; and all topics i found was from having too much notifications...
but at least now i know what it's for..
also, in dutch version of nougat the translation is done really bad... it's translated to 'save data' but with saving as writing it on storage instead of using less... (lol, save all your date is going to make the phone unusable after a few months imho)
watch the video to fix
go to setting
connection
Data Saver
and turn it off
that's all
Thankyou
Thank you! I recently purchased a 2017 Samsung Galaxy J3 and the the "icon" wasn't even mentioned, or shown, in the "User Manual." dan from sonora, california
