Hi there, i'm trying to add the xposed apk to the settings menu. I've decompiled the apk, modified the lines of code required, deoxed it (smali / baksmali) and recompiled the apk. Ive pused the settings file back, changed the relevant read write permissions. It shows fine in its directory. Restart phone and settings wont open... Ive got the original settings apk & odex files and as soon as ive pushed those back settings works. Ive tried signing the modified apk, but im just clutching at straws at this point.
Can anyone advice? Has anyone done the same successfully? Appreciated
There's an xposed module that does this sort of thing. Its called xposed preference injector

Personally, I would only add to settings via source code compilation from aosp. Can it even be done using apk tool etc?
Deodexed is much easier for modification

When i flash my rom this time i started getting this messages from the network mentioning my location , this is really annoying how can i stop this

It's class 0 (or flash) SMS.
Try searching how to disable receiving Class 0/Flash SMS

Go to settings->Calls Settings, and unmark "reception of broadband messages" Or something like this. Should help.))

Hi sorry for the late reply after i reflashed the rom and problem was solved, i dont remember the rom i used at the time must be, Elegancia or viper, core droid, one out of these 3 with a sense 4.5 skin from play store by
Mcluvn mods now i dont own my sensation as i moved on to my new phone galaxy note 2

Are you on stock? I believe those settings are available only to those running custom roms.
No I'm on PA so that explains why I have never seen them, thank you. I just installed PA the other day after a long time on stock. I never saw these until now.

lol. yesterday i just decompiled the motorola camera apk and edited the bools.xml to activate some of these settings like dual video encode etc on my stock rom xD

i don't even know if the values i just changed do work. so i need to be sure about that. maybe there is some way to make this settings button visible for us, too.

maybe you could share your motorola camera apk in this thread (you can find the apk in /system/priv-app/MotCamera.apk), so me and others can decompile it to have a look in the apk's files that we can maybe activate this settings button for all stock users

I’m a xda member. I posted somes comments on the forum. Everything was ok to edit my posts upto Firefox v31 for windows. With firefox 31 on windows, I’m not able edit my posts. I can create post, but not edit. It’s a bug from firefox v31, I think. In fact, I can not edit a lot of my posts but some I can. It’s random.

First screenshot, when I click to edit my post, the area arrive empty. Where is my post ? No way to edit it. If I try, after click save, the return is empty, like delete my post. No way to edit my posts because the post is empty while editing area only with firefox v31 on windows.
I tried with a fresh install of firefox 31 for windows, without modules, and same issue with my post. Same issue with portable firefox 31.

still no problems with 31.1 esr so they might have fixed something with .1 or it's an addon cause these problem.
No addon. Just fresh install AND also with portable version 31 and 32.
Hi all,
Is there any way (app or hidden option?) to add support to the OPO to save contacts in the SIM card by default? (not only phone memory or google account)
I'm not 100% sure if this is related to the OPO or with Android 4.4... I searched a bit and found out that in the SGS5 you can save contacts directly on the SIM card, so I guess it's possible... but I cannot find the way to do it with the OPO.
And please... I know that SIM cards are obsolote, etc... etc... So please stick to the question. Is it simply not possible? No one implemented a mod or something?
I know that with certain apps you can manage your contacts in the SIM... But I would like to know if there is no other option.

Today I've got a new custom ROM for Samsung galaxy star duos (gt-s5283). But haven't tried yet.

Buy seing the features and themes of the rom I think the rom will be quiet well working but I predict one may occur I.e. the rom is in default Indonasian language. I'm not sure just telling If any one tried it then plese comment below after trying

Use Custom kernels and use tweaks to mininize ram uses
Zapdos kernel v4.0 is well enough to use for performance. with 'Fly-On Mod' tweak script .
But im not sure that Zapdos will support with these rom. well u can try it and be sure to make a nandroid backup before trying.
For better audio and graphics performance use 'Pure Graphics HD+' and 'Pure Audio 2.0' tweaks
