[Q] Hello to All XDA Members - General Topics

Hello All.
I just joined XDA Developer forums. I am a Web/UI Designer and Front-End Developer from past 3.5 years.
Currently I'm using iPhone 4 and just trying to sell it and shift to Android.
I need suggestions for a phone (HTC One X) because i want to buy it and just asking other users so i can decide.
- Is this phone Good ?
- Any opinions about it ?
Please let me know with its user experience . Waiting for reply back.
Thanks & Best Regards

Every lurker gets one chance in my book but after that one taste, we will hope all following questions will be about learning and helping others. Also, I would refrain from using the word hacks.
Now, I would suggest Jellybam which blends the best of many worlds and its ultra light and very fast. I would also urge you to try ViperrXL 3.0.0. Super fast and the battery life is unreal. Tweaks will follow soon as they aren't available yet.
Parting words:::: Read your butt off here. Your question has been asked a million times. It irritates many senior members. Research what others are saying by visiting the dev's threads in Android Development sections.
Enjoy

I don't mind answering questions even the ones that are asked plenty of times but these questions I kinda find a bit rude to devs...and a little ignorant and lazy on the users side...like it doesn't take much time to read the OP and see what's included and choose for yourself...

You should go through them all. Best way to learn and see for yourself what interests you. Our opinions are just that, opinions. Its up to the user to see what piques your interests. Then of course you'll want to try more and eventually help others out.

I said I would stay stock rooted. Then I tried my first ROM. Now I can't stay on one for more than a couple days. Haha.
However, Jellybam has got my full attention right now. Speed is brutal!

The better choice of two

Hi guys. I just want a bit of quick advice on choice of device.
I always liked t he HTC myTouch_4G_Slide.
I got a Samsung s3 mini recently but I may need to get rid of one.
Which one should I go with. The Samsung has some obvious pros, larger screen, more onboard memory. But I still like the HTC.
Can I get other persons opinions?
Thanks

[Q] Best rom friendly Smartphone under $200?

Hey guys, im currently using an HTC One m8, but im thinking about getting a secondary device to thinker with, i want to spend around $200 USD
i mainly be using this phone to try out roms and use my secondary sim card, i was looking to get a Xiaomi Mi3, but it seems to be a little more expensive here in the US, i was also considering getting a used Nexus 4, what do you guys think would be a good option?
I'm using a nexus 4, and a used nexus 4 would be great for tinkering, it is a fantastic device. Lots of ROMS and great support from the developer community.

maybe s3 or p6

All three are good devices IMO.
Please register on xda and ask this in the **DEVICE SUGGESTION THREAD** -- Not sure what device to buy? Ask here! by KidCarter93.
There is the right place to discuss this with other users.
Please do not open/read this:
... sorry, I can't resist ... go for the S5
But every user will give a different advice. For me the S5 was the best decision. Maybe for you too ... maybe not?!
... hey, I said not to open and read this

[Completed] Best Android Phone for Root Users

I was wondering what peoples opinion is on what the best Android smartphone is for a root user?
Something that has a lot a large community, plenty support, and the capability of developing further?
I don't just want to know 'what's the best android phone', as I don't really care what its like out the box. I'm looking for a phone with massive potential for complete customization.
Its time to get rid of the awful iPhone 5s!
Cheers,
