I tried a lot my AX03G to get rooted this way but no success :crying:. It even doesn't recognize the phone. I've gone thru all guide steps. Any help or updates on ax03g are appreciated.

Hi,
Once you upgrade the firmware from the above link, you will be able to get access to remove the pre installed application and also access to SU.
I think you would need to remove all the old driver and install the drivers from the above link.

I installed cwm recovery from the link you had posted , i rebooted via cwm , but then it has resulted in a boot loop , any help is appriciated .
I am unable to boot into recovery , nor is adb working. The guys at auxus support claim that the only way to get into recovery is from android os itself .

Hi Navin,
I am afraid there is no other way apart from re installing the base rom through live suit. I do face same issues when ever i try a new rom but if your switch off the tablet and connect it after 10-15 sec using the volume + and the power button the system will recognize the tablet and you will be able to install the base rom which is provided in the first post.

Can you indicate where can we get this live suite?

Hey guys I am new here...and kinda pretty late too..idk if anyone will see this..but i m here because I tried to find custom rom for this recently and there were roms under the impression of allwinner A10 device (due to the cpu chip). Is there any developer out there who can make a stable rom for this device?. I know it's too much to ask as the kernel and stuff would be old..but please if you could it would be of a really big help as the custom roms made in 2012 here on XDA and other links..have almost no links working...some things are explained in detailed ..Please it would be a really great help if someone out here makes a rom for it which takes it out of ice cream sandwich version. I'll be really grateful if someone can help.

[Q] Root for Lava Xolo A700

I've been searching the whole internet for support of this device. It runs on android 4.0.4 and the stock rom is almost not modified the company. Currently, it would be great if someone posted a way to root this device. And later on make custom roms and all. Here's a quick spec of this phone:
1GHz dual core processor, 512MB Ram - MT6577 chipset
4.5 inch IPS Capactive touch Display - 960 x 540 pixels 16M
5MP Camera
4GB inbuilt storage
3G / Wi-Fi
GPS
So please, anyone out there. It would be more than appreciated if you help us folks with this device and root it. Thank you so much.

seems to be working on xolo a800. So maybe work on This phone too. Not too much difference in two phones in terms of hardware.

It may not work at first so keep trying. I also bricked mine soon after rooting it, it was because I installed beats audio drivers most probably which worked at first but then device stuck in a boot loop. I highly suspect that it was because of beats drivers because I monitored the debug logs while the device booting and it always get stuck while loading sound drivers. I had to send it to xolo service center to get it fixed. So just be careful with your handset.
Anyway, why do you want to root it? I did it because I wanted to change user interface font.

Thanks. I also successfully rooted using that method. I supercharged it and ran die hard battery script. Now it's much faster and has a longer battery life
EDIT: btw, did you have any problems installing the drivers? I did for a bit, but somehow worked out in the end. And do you know if we can get JB on this device?

What do you mean by supercharging and Die-hard script? Links please, it will be awesome if I can have better battery life.
Beats audio installation was successful, phone worked for few hours after that but then it got stuck in boot loop while restarting. Most probably I did something else too to which caused the problem. Glad it worked for you, I didn't feel much difference with Beats audio so it isn't worth risk doing it again for me. I rooted my xolo again after replying to this thread, I was thinking of doing it for sometime.
Also we won't be getting jb on it for sometime, lava hasn't release a jb phone for Mediatek processors which xolo a700 has. Chances of someone creating a custom rom for this handset is also quite low as it is not very popular.

We need to create a JB rom for this device and check out the performance as the battery is very bad in mine..

I also own this device. I am facing the following problems on this phone:
1. Overheating near the rear camera especially while charging.
2. Charging takes over 7-8 hours.
3. There is a slight time lag in taking photos. I mean u touch the screen button/physical button and the shutter closes a split second late.
4. Very very bad battery backup. in 7 hours it is dead. 1 hr call. 2g on . 1 hour surfing.
5. Keyboard doesn’t register the right keys whil using whatsapp/gmail etc. Works perfect in sms compose.
I have used MMX A110 Canvas 2 and had none of the above issues. Overall very good build quality. Looks classy. Screen is very crisp and vivid.
Stock rom is absolutely vanilla. No G talk and Gmail apps in factory setting ( found that odd). Had to download apks.
I have been able to root. Looking for CWM recovery so that a complete rom backup can be taken ( Any help is appreciated)

Yes, my phone also overheats sometimes, its not a frequent occurrence, but it does happen.

It takes at most 3 hrs to charge mine, your phone or your charger has some problem.

I don't feel that my xolo's camera is any slower than most of other android phone I have used, lag maybe because of auto-focus doing its work.

Battery backup certainly isn't very good, mine lasts for a day on moderate use. Its certainly not so bad as yours.

Try using another keyboard application. I am using Kii Keyboard.
In light of so many of your problems with this set, you might have a faulty handset, try to get a replacement or get it serviced.

Xolo just release the Jelly Bean version on the same hardware on Xolo A1000. This is mostly the same hardware.. only the screen is bigger and the camera is 8MP shooter with a BSI sensor.
In my opinion, if some one can get hold of that original ROM it would be easily tweeked to run on the xolo a700 and a800 which currently runs on ICS.

Since you have an A1000 would you be able to post the stock boot.img of your A1000? That would help us to safely port the A700 and A800 to the Jelly Bean.

i just got this phone a few days back not planning to do any root or CWM now
but as of now i dont see the stock recovery or stock rom available any were i did try googling it .
SO once u have installed CWM make 100% sure u have done a Nand backup of ur original stock rom via CWM so at least if u get into any problem u can atleast get back to stock

I am new in rooting process. I didn't find pc drivers for my xolo a700. Please let me know where can I find the pc drivers??? Each time I connect mobile to pc with usb debug mode on, it says unknown device.

Google pdanet and install it. Then connect your phone and hopefully your phone will be recognised this time. If not restart pc as well as phone and then connect it, also remember to keep usb debugging on.

Hey guys i saw that there was no thread for p300, so i decided to make one (this is the support and development thread)
Do this at your own risk
1=Root your funbook
It is rooted but sometimes it is not rooted so you must visit this page: http://apk4phones.blogspot.in/2013/05/root-in-just-two-minutes.html
Download the unlock root software from there- (second post), download the app, connect funbook with usb debugging to pc

8= Battery calibration problem
Best method to fix is to install another rom, it will fix, if you want to keep it on stock rom so please download the battery calibration app, and follow the steps given!!!
9= Wifi problems after installing roms
Can't connect to wifi after installing Roms?? well here is the solution:
Flash the the jellybean rom (number 3) using live suit and and then try installing other roms
It will work surely!!!! :laugh::laugh::fingers-crossed:

Power button broken?? i found a solution for p300-
The thing is, i couldn,t remap it- so i did the other thing- i downloaded this app called the AWESOME ON OFF from PLAYSTORE- download this and switch on the awesome on, and voila- your tab will get on when picked up
P.S. you can do this even if you don't have a broken power button

the developer is unknown, don't know him.
It is cynaogen rod 10.1
Features:
Bluetooth dongle works
ps controller can be connected
no battery problems
is good enough for trying
Cons:
Camera may/may not work
Wifi may/may not work
photon plus doen't work
May lag a bit on startup- negligible

the lightning rom says for funbook pro.. it can be installed but i would like to say.. make a backup before i have no idea about it will work or not.. but my experience says that funbook pro always refers to funbook P300,, so sorry i can't try it for you as my tab broke... hope i helped u ... any more questions ... feel free to ask..

Is the battery or the callibration software defective? I calibrated the battery using BatteryCallibration but it discharges directly from 90% to 3% in just 5mins.

hey, if that is not working for you. then install CWM, go to advanced and wipe battery stats.. then it might work.. .. and i am still having this problem.. best way to install a new rom but my power button is broken

Yeah, I installed the allwinner rom today itself. Didn't check the battery performance though.
I also had a doubt, what about init.d on this device?

I just bought a pantech burst p9070 ,the wifi worked perfectly when there wasn't any sim card in it but after I inserted a sim card the wifi stopped working. It cant connect to saved networks or search for new networks once there is a sim card in it.please help me solve this problem:fingers-crossed:

Hi,
I own a GT P5100 running 4.0.3 android.
I had rooted it with the help of a thread on this forum.
Now, when I connect to Wifi, the Tab downloads JB update...but it is unable to install that update.
Can u tell me the reason?
Also, is there any newer update [official or unofficial] than JB?
How can I upgrade to it?
I'm fairly new to this rooting/flashing etc.

temember that JB is 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 recently an update show up (in france) the 4.2.2 JB, this is (and will be) the last update for the tab,
im not an expert but maybe you can't update because the root, if you want to update you may unroot or use ODIN (but will not be root after the update, unless you port the root with an app)

here is a way to update:

As fabrihn said earlier 4.2.2 is the last update for galaxy tab 2 from samsung , but you can always flash custom roms like cyanogenmod to get the newest android versions (p.s. cyanogenmod 10.2 gives you the andoid 4.3 version ).
And to port root the best app is MOBILE ODIN PRO !!! It is actually a mobile version of the odin software and with it you can directly flash files from your mobile .It gives the option to root your new firmware while it is being flashed.

Also, when I POWER ON the device, the screen displays distorted colours and then starts up with CYANOGEN Logo...Is it possible to correct it as well?

That is happening because you haven't enabled USB DEBUGGING on your device. To do so you have to Go to developer settings, but by default it is hidden, to use DEVELOPER SETTINGS
Go to SETTINGS
ABOUT TABLET
and click BUILT NUMBER 7 times to unhide DEVELOPER SETTINGS option. Now you are done
And yes for the boot screen logo either use custom boot screen logo zip file and replace with original or try reading the forum post of that ROM which you are using and ask there.

[Q] HELP ME!! Baseband version unknown mtk6572 on custom rom only

Guyz i need your help.... I have a micromax canvas juice a77 and i was making the rom for it.... I decided to port a rom similar to the chipset of my device.... So as its a mtk6572 device, i got a s4 rom for it.,... Firstly i flashed it without any modifications but after flashing my phone went to sleep .... Only the thing visible was a white screen.... Then to make it alive again i flashed stock rom on it... Then replaced the boot.img from stock to the s4 rom.... And surprisingly that worked.... Then it booted up but the baseband version was unknown.... I have cwm backup.... So i restored it.... And everything goes fine again.... Searched everywhere but only got disappointing solutions.... Every other thing is working fine except the basic functionality of a phone..... It becomes an androidpod after flashing that rom..... So is anyone here to answer my question... This is my first rom so please guide me through it.... My another question is that how do we insert text while we are installing any rom....
