[Q]most stable rom? - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need to give my old p500 to my sister so i'd like to install the most stable rom,I don't need ICS or JB if GB it's the most stable for the O1 >_<

If you're giving the phone to someone who won't be flashing roms or experimenting, you're better off installing a GB or stock rom.

Try popdogs Oxygen rom. Light & stable. Great battery backup. Or try Neko's GTR for looks & features. Both are GB roms. There are other GB roms too which are stable for daily use.

GB is the best
Yup, GB sure is the most stable. Try GingerSnap.. Great for daily use, with the goodnes of CM 7.2.. I personally prefer the camera in the stock ROM though.

i mainly got this OV as a donor phone for my S3 but having problems activating S3 after swap so im deciding to not do that anymore and since virgin mobile is only $35mo i might just keep this OV
im not new to flashing roms and rooting at all (after all i got this as a donor) but i am new to the OV and what roms is good with it
can someone tell me what would be a good rom that has no problems.
camera, 3g, wifi, bt (well everything really needs to work) but it would be great to get off that stock UI of 2.2.1 i think it is
if there is no cust rom that has everything working like it should then i can just stay stock but it would be great if there is

The builds from jenkins are the most stable roms I have tried, I can't comment on battery life because my cellphone doesn't deep sleep (hardware problems).
But I can tell you it lasts like 11 or 12 hours with
* 3g always on
* medium use
* no deep sleep
And it's JellyBean 4.2.1

I think that CM7,official version from here,
http://get.cm/?device=p500
is the most stable rom.

[Q] Best Functioning 4.0.4 ROM?

which ROM so far works the best??
as far as performance, apps working and force closing..
I´m on the latest CM9 nightly and it works perfect for me,fast, smooth and stable, the battery life is also fine,up to 2 days with no OC and no games.Give it a try
You might want to check bedalus work on bechmarking ICS ROMs. As of now, I am using MIUI Stuff Crusted and it's working great (I'll probably going to test it a few more days, since I flashed it two days ago).
I'm using CyberGr's ICS Roms and it's awesome. Don't trust the synthetic tests, they are not the best way to judge a rom (although useful to some extent).
i am also would voute for cybergr's rom, really sweet.
i would like to recommand codename android i had all versions since 1.2.0 all worked perfect except 1.5.5 that had a problem editing APN's which solved in 1.6.0.
CNA also get updated really quickly.
I am using PixelRom 1.70 + AirKernel V3.7. So far most stable with no reboots.
I would say CM9 or AOSP+
4.0.4....
Sent from my IceCreamed Nexus S4G AOSP Codename ROM 1.6.0 Matrix 18.5
+1 for CyberGR
Really appreciate the forethought that went into the mods
CyberGR or PixelROM...

MIUIXperience has been released!! I would say is the best MIUI ICS experience so far!!

Stock 4.0.4

solved please delete

Ok so since ive fixed my s 4g from soft brickdom i rooted it and its installed with a cwm-based voodoo lagfix recovery v5.0.2.7, now im looking to install a custom rom but im not sure what one to use, id prefer an ics based rom since in order to go online i need wifi on this phone and the jb roms seem to have wifi issues, so i would like to have working wifi and better battery life, which rom would be best.
Ultragen FTW
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2034855
Ultragen has everything you need. Smooth, fast, and easy on the battery. It's ICS based with some of JB-esque looks.
Misconception about jellybean
4.1.2 is jb and wifi works
But
4.2.2 is also jb and on those jb needs a script to function....so far

Is that so? Well then would a jb rom be better? Im looking for something to increase the functionality a bit, i like playing games and whatnot on it, but i seem to get a serious slap of lag on some of the games now and again, like i said though im running on just rooted, i used titanium backup to remove a bunch of the bloatware, so im not sure if i have to flash in another rom then upgrade to a jb rom or whatnot, the last phone i did anything this deep with was a g1, lol so with these newer phones im kinda a noob
I really liked cyanogenmod 9.1. It was smooth, nearly bug-less (most of the bugs don't really effect the daily users). The lag on games was gone unless you're playing a really demanding 3D game.
This is what I'm currently using:
AOKP ICS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1733097
An ICS ROM where most stuff seems to be working (even auto brightness!). The AOKP features add some neat stuff like a "Slide" lockscreen followed by a PIN lockscreen (the way iOS does it).

[Q] Recomended stable/for daily use rom?

Hi, I'm new to this device as a friend gave it to me. I've read a lot about flashing, stock and custom roms but I can't see a stable custom rom. As far as I've understood ICS and up roms are still not stable enough, so I may go for a GB rom but don't know what.
BTW if I go to a stock rom is there a way to maintain CWM or would I have to flash it again after flashing stock?
Best & stable Gingerbread rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1440284
Follow the instructions carefully.
Good luck!

You read a lot and you can't see a stable custom ics/jb ROM??? My advice: Stay at GB... Stock rom is the best for you.

Probably this is a best solution for this moment I'm using this rom. Easy to install and easy to use. I'ts smooth quick and solid on my SG I9003 SCL
Thanks for your recommendations but any of that roms have worked 'cause I'm having this problem. I've installed Bam's Custom Kernel and 4ext convertor script and I'm able to get /data working, so then I flash any of that custom roms but I'm stuck again on bootloops.
this one also very good

GB ROM: The Frankenstein Mod is very good(no bugs and a lot of bloatware removed). I used it for many months and then switched to Alpha 5.
Jelly Bean: Dhiru's Alpha 5
The best of all roms for the SL cleaner faster and 4.2.2!!

Try the new 4.2.2 ROM from master Dirhu with Kernel 3.0
It has some few bugs at the moment but it is working very very smoothly (better than a sock one). My phone is like a new one with this ROM.
It comes with Cyanogenmod 10.1

For good battery and gaming with Stability, OXYGEN GB is best ever. All the games (Temple Run, Angry Birds, Subway surfer) shall run without any lagging.
I normally test all the roms made by our beloved developers and after testing, i shall be back to oxygen GB. Only thing, I request is somebody should make good themes (apart from available already) and latest Jelly Bean features for this. With this, I am sure, Oxygen GB will be perfect ROM forever for P500.
well, the majority of gingerbread rom are perfect as daily driver. i'm using Gingersnap v2.3 and still it has not let me down yet :good:

Chose stable custom rom for my sis

Hello people
My sister is considering flashind custom rom on her SGS Advance. And because I'm not familiar with Samsung devices (I have two Sony :>)
I would like to ask you to help me chose the most stable and fully functional custom ROM.
At the moment she has stock JB installed but it has some freezes and doesn't run very well.
What can you recommend? It doesn't have to be the nevest android.
I think I would chose between SkimKat 4.4, CyanogenMod 11 by Team Canjica and VanirAOSP 4.4.4. I know those are very good custom roms.
Can you tell me if there are any issues with those? like reboots, not working features?
If you say custom ROMs, there is no ROM which is bug free but there are stable ROMs.
Stability depends on how and what you use. All 4.4 ROMs have reached to a state where you can use them for daily use.
I am Using CM11 nightly 20140614 and dont have any problems.
All the ROMs have their dev and Q/A threads, you can check them for the most stable builds and the working/non working functionality.
Try the latest vanir aosp its fast, fluid and stable...
For me its the most stable rom yet
Well SlimKat seems to be bugless.
VanirAOSP has some bugs with SystemUI
Go for the slimkat(final). It's the smoothest, fastest rom for our phone.

CM 10.1
Wysłane z WOO-Phablecika 4.2.2...
Vanir is the best!
AOKP 4.2.2 by PV after uninstalling and reinstalling calendar is stable.
Wysłane z AOKP-fonika 4.2.2...
I'd have to go with Vanir. Everything just works and lag is virtually non-existent. The only downside I can see is slightly shorter battery life (could be just my phone though). One advantage that i love is it has it's own updater so it's not much of a hassle to get the latest fixes and improvements!
Another option for her would be to stay with stock JB bit change her kernel to CoCore.

More performance = more battery drain.
@lozohcum : How old is she? She want a girl theme too?
After testing almost every ROM, i think that CM10.1 is the most stable(with good battery backup)...
Liquid smooth 3.2 smooth as liquid with all customizations
just battery backup is 15 to 17 hr is matter

Yeah, you should try this. Cm 10.1 is awesome!
I think u can choose between VanirAOSP or AOSP from j.team.. The last one is disscontinued but its 90% finished and 100% stable.
U can choose one of them, or, simpli, test both because testing is the only (exactly) way to know if ROM is for you (or sister).
See all!
