i have qustion plz reply me or give me a solution i unlocked my htc desire s and i installed jellybean 4.1.2 pac version 19.3.0 it is going smooth but now i want install the OFFICIAL RUU from htc site . i try to install but i showing error i canot install it why any body have solution if anybody friends please sent me my mail [email protected] thank you
You need to have a locked bootloader to use a RUU, you'll have to re-lock it. The stock ICS rom is not bug-free, so you might want to flash an older RUU.
If you didn't unlock your phone through htcdev, don't flash the stock ICS RUU as afterwards the only options for modifying your phone are via htcdev unlock (you can't temproot).
If it got stuck on HTC Logo bootscreen after you tried to flash the official RUU and you can get into bootloader i suggest you try this thread

I was flashing HD ICS to my HTC Sensation I followed directions and at the end of the process instead of it updating my bootloader it says ***LOCKED*** what do I do?

Hello the htc sensations bootloader is locked from factory you cant flash a rom to it unless you unlock the bootloader via hack , patch here is a link to unlock the bootloader

ive been able to flash roms even while it says ***Locked***
it has not caused me any problems, also im on hboot 1.27 which is from the latest firmware package
My htc sensation just arrived, i try to instal custom rom, but the recovery keep showing mi sd-card error, i relocked my bootloader and try to instal stock ruu but in hal way i get device id error. And now i stock on boot loader screen, every time i turn phone on i get the bootloader screen and i cant do anything, when i chuse recovery it rebbot phone into botloader again. My h-boot is: 1.18.000 and bootloader version is: 10.14.9035.01 Any ideas how to fix my phone and finaly turn it on ?? HELP PLEASE.
PS. my htc is new so its not s-off and not rooted
I will donate person who fix my phone!!!(is 20£ ok?)

For some roms you need a special firmware. And in order to get these you need to have supercid. In this forum are alot of howtos to reach that. There is also a flashable firmware where you do not have to be supercid. Good luck

Ok, reading helps alot. So you say you are not s-off and not rooted... there it is, our problem. You have to get s-off and root your phone, otherwise it won't work. Just use that guide! Good luck
es i try , but i stock on bootloader screen and cant do it much... When i try to instal custom rom like piramid 3d everthing goes fine and i finish succefull, bbut after reboot i stock on the htc screen....

After i play with ROMs on my HTC Desire S i got problem, cant restore official ROM that was in device before flashing. My current state is S-On, HBOOT 2.00.0002, rooted Endymion_V3.5_base_release. And here is what i did:
1st i did, i unlocked HBOOT with HTCdev (remained S-On)
2nd installed ext4recovery
3rd using ext4recovery i installed Endymion ROM
4th after that i put boot.img via fastboot (because its HTCdev unlock with S-Off)
Now my question is how i can return to stock with official RUU. I tried many solutions which I found here but after all i got ERROR [140] (incompatibile HBOOT version). Can anyone provide me some suggestions or tips becaus i wont geave up just yet?

First is to relock your phone with all.in one.tool kit
then your phone should reboot after that
after you see that then you go into fastboot mode

then you run it after that it should stay HTC then it will have a green bar under it ( it pretty much telling you its working ^_^)
then after that you should be out of boot mode yayy!
If you relock boot loader with a custom ROM on it it will only boot back into bootloader mode no recovery no ROM. Make sure you have an ruu that will work.. I also believe you can only run an ruu from a windows machine.

Hi guys recently i bought htc one a9 sprient varient device in Pakistan from a market it was prerooted device all working well and i want to upgarde it from marshmallow to nougart but ota updates not installed then i try a stock file i dont know that its a stok or from other but it version was 1.10.651.1 which was same as mine it perfectly installed twrp remove
Problem is that aftrr doing this i am facing multiple reboots. Ota updates said that u have to install original rom my phone is soff relocked and hiuae hwl. I tried this and still this rom is working on my phone but the main issue i am suffering is multiple rebots
you can find all RUU's at htcdev.com. Create an account and find your RUU. Important, you have te be locked tot install a RUU (i believe....) Use fastboot to relock your device and install the right RUU.

You do not have to re-lock to take an RUU
