So after reading around various other older threads and using my google-fu, I came to the realization that if there was a specific desk-dock (not to be mistaken with the lapdock [has its own thread] or the vehicle dock) for the A2, that it was already long gone from the market. What I was able to find however is that there are still plenty of 89511N and 89512N available out there.
The Motorola HD Dock is currently $18 w/free shipping for Prime. It has an HDMI port.
The Motorola HD Station Dock is currently $30 w/free shipping for Prime. It has an HDMI port as well as 3 USB ports.
These are the only 2 'desk' docks that I know for certain are compatible with the A2. The Bionic dock, while compatible in terms of function, just looks plain awkward, and at least in my case, trying to reverse the cables just left me with a non-functional dock.
Also available is the Motorola Atrix 2 Vehicle Navigation Dock, also at $30 w/free shipping for Prime.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for other A2 'dock deals' and post them here as I see them.
Thanks for the effort.
I wanted to Buy HD Station (with Remote), it is not available on Motorola website and Amazon is selling it for $ 105.
can you use your Google-Fu skills and get good deals
I built my own dock with a nice piece of wood and a router attachment on a Dremel. Just routed out a groove and beveled the edges nicely, then drilled a hole in the right spot for the a usb cable to stick up and sealed it in with epoxy.

Will do when i get home later!
I have to say that I would have made some modifications doing it again, mainly in my choice of wood. what i used was way to hard and was extremely difficult to route out, causing some burning.
Cheapest I could find at this point was Micro Center for $72.99, but only available in store. Otherwise, yeah, eBay and WalMart both have it for 105, as you noted. The model number for that specific one is 89522N.
While watching ebay a few days ago i found this lapdock for the original Atrix , they usually go for $50 used! so this one is going for almost $16 with $2.99 S & H and its brand new in the box! there is 9 hours left on this auction yet,but here is the product # 230975680637 for any one who is interested.
Modding one of this puppies was fun and a great addition to my A2.

car mount
I got a generic one off of ebay for $5. the suction cup is worthless but it came with spring loaded vent hooks also which keep it secure in my truck
i have a feeling it has something to do with the line out not working till froyo comes out, like with the home dock. at least i hope so. if we see froyo without a car dock i'm gonna be pissed.
I've ordered two of the Media Docks, $20 each shipped. One will stay in my office on my desk, the other I will be customizing to fit into the ashtray of my X5 so I don't have to fumble with the car charger and headphone cords anymore since 2.2 will enable the headphone jack on the dock through the MicroUSB port.
I finally just got rid of Sirius because my new car has bluetooth that I can play slacker through. Soooo I went and ordered one for $5 off ebay. I dont expect it to be top notch.... but as long as it holds the phone I am good.

This is one thing I've been waiting for since I got my epic on release day. Starting to get sick of waiting. I want to probably get the Arkon beanbag mount but I hate that it doesn't come with a car charger and it's so freakin hard to find a car charger that has an angeled head (on the point that plug into the phone) so I don't have a goofy wire curved around the top of the phone.
I still do not have any mount or car charger yet as I still want to wait for the official dock but my patience is wearing very thin on this issue

Proclip vehicle mount with adjustable ipod holder works 100% perfectly and allows enough adjustment to use with Epic bare or with any of the common snap on cases and such.
This was my biggest concern when I got the phone as well as I wasn't a fan of the top-mounted usb input Samsung chose to go with when most other devices are (logically IMO) bottom-mounted precisely because of cradling convenience.
I picked up a Bracketron universal vent mount. I then got a 3' car charger (straight) and a 3' stereo cable to input the audio into my radio. I lashed the two cables together about every 6" with black wire ties. It's really only a little over 1' from my radio to the mount, but I just let them loop over and hang down the left side onto the center of the console when I'm not in the car. And the extra length is nice as it allows you to easily pull the cables to you when you hop in the car for a quick/easy plug in before putting the phone in the dock. Perhaps not the most elegant solution, but it's passable and semi-efficient until a more official solution comes out (and even then I'm not a big fan of the landscape layout.)
This thread needs pics and links! I recently tried some little cheapy one at WalMart for $7, and while it was a super tight fit, it bounced around too much while driving to make it reasonably viewable to watch movies at the same time.
I did this with my epic and used a cheap crappy case I found on eBay and the cradle/mount from Garmin Nuvi.

Samsung Epic 4G Rubberized Hard Case Cover Black
Although any generic hard case works.
I ordered one from talkietech.com. $48.90 shipped.

$32 shipped.
Anyone get one? I am guessing by the look that it does not work with a case.
Can anyone post a few more detailed pics when they get it please? I'd like to know a few things like if it has a connection for audio out, and does it work? If not, can you plug in a 3.5 audio cable or does the mount obstruct the jack? How does the "cradle' attach to the "mount"? Could one use just the cradle part with their own mount? How much tilt/swivel does it allow for? TIA

LOL...I love it when people say that. Well feel free to send me one, I mean, it's only money.
if you go to your local hardware store and buy 2 feet of baseboard and cut it in half you can make a nice tablet stand. The grooves are perfect to hold it and it takes about 2 nails and some wood glue. I have my gtab in it right now. Cost me about 4 bucks.
Sounds like it would look a bit... cheap. But I guess you could probably finish it up to look decent. Can you post a pic or diagram?

Akron portable folding stand from amazon works great!
I got the Akron portable folding stand from amazon and it works great and even will hold my G Tab in the M1 case as well. Plus it folds up and fits in the Caselogic G Tablet case from pocket that I got from sears for $5.99 thanks to the person who posted about that deal from sears. Too bad it sold out since it was basically a caselogic $19.99 netbook case rebranded for Viewsonic.
Yes, the Arkon is terrific. Folds to fit in zippered pocket of case and holds it landscape or portrait with power cord in or out. Very sturdy too.
Hey all, I just noticed that the official Powermat back battery door for the MT4GS is on sale at T-Mobile for ten bucks. You'll still need the actual Powermat charger, which goes for $20-30 online. The website also charges shipping and sales tax, FYI. But still a good price:

I looked around Amazon a little bit and saw plenty of single-position mats for a particular device, usually including the receiver door for that device, for under $10. (You know, for a device that you don't have. ) Here is one example (for BlackBerry Bold 9700): http://www.amazon.com/Powermat-Position-Charging-BlackBerry-Receiver/dp/B00462QB4C
It looks like these mats have a custom indentation to hug the back of the device, so it's unlikely to be a perfect fit. Also, if you device doesn't fit into the indentation, it might not charge.
But ... cheap! Most of these are not Amazon Prime eligible, so it costs another few bucks for shipping.
---------- Post added at 10:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 AM ----------
I'm sort of inspired by this thread to try hacking some powermat chargers for some other phones where the receiver is still expensive or there just isn't a receiver. If you search around, you can find some reports of folks who have done this with varying degrees of aesthetic sensibility in the results.
One idea, that I kind of like a lot, is to use the Palm Pre charging "Touchstone" as the transmitting mat. Because the Palm Pre was kind of a dud in the marketplace, the Touchstones are available for pretty cheap. Here's an example at Amazon for under $5, including shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Palm-Touchstone-Charging-Dock-Pre/dp/B002CMEIWK. One hitch with the Touchstone is that it uses a couple of magnetic thingies to activate it (and, I guess, hold the device in place). I'm sure one could deal with that somehow.
Thanks for the last post.
Alright, I'm totally confused. I took a look on Amazon earlier this week, but without confidence in the mat actually working with the device perfectly, I decided to check out what was in stores.
I go to Best Buy and couldn't find them. I asked an associate and they said that they no longer are carrying PowerMats because of the shorting out risk.
Ummmmmmm, okay....
I go to Radio Shack and the associate there starts talking to me about two different types and how one doesn't charge fully all the time and that kills your battery over time and the other involves walking around with a "puck" on your phone.
What the hell is everyone talking about??? I thought these were pretty good and I'm reading nothing but nice reviews online, with the exception of the expense. Frankly, at $10 plus shipping for the case, I no longer care about the expense.
Thoughts????
I don't know anything definitive about most of that. From poking around today, I've deduced a few things (none of which involved "shorting out" ).
Powermat and Duracell both made something that looked like roughly the same technology. Some time in the recent past, Powermat and Proctor and Gamble (who I guess own the Duracell brand?) formed a joint venture or some marketing agreement to make and sell "Duracell Powermat" devices.
The mention of a puck thing could mean either of two things. First, Powermat sells a "universal" receiver, which is a little block with the inductor coil inside it. You still have to connect it to your phone's charger port via mini/micro USB (or one of their other tips). Of course, you wouldn't have that on all the time, except when you are charging. Second, Duracell sells or used to sell a gadget that semi-permanently plugs into your USB port and then sticks to the back of your phone. The latter sounds like what the RS guy was talking about.
After a couple days out of town, I returned to find a bunch of packages of el cheapo Powermat stuff for experiments.
I got a single-position mat specially intended for iPhone 3G and 3GS from a 3rd party supplier on Amazon for $7.44 (and free shipping due to Amazon Prime). With the MT4GS Powermat receiver cover from T-Mobile, I can charge using this mat. It's not a perfect fit. The mat does have an indentation, but it's not for the iPhone. The included iPhone case has a rectangular hump on the back, and the indentation is for that hump. Still, by wiggling things a bit and placing the MT4GS off-center, it does charge. The MT4GS cover does not have that hump ... it's just slightly thicker than standard overall.
From the feel of things, there must be magnets that activate the mat. So, I had to fiddle with the placement of the phone to get the mat to turn on. Once it did, the charging light came on for the phone.
(I haven't taken any of this apart yet, so I'm speculating a little.)
On spec, I bought a Palm Pre Touchstone charging kit. They are pretty cool looking and are available pretty cheaply. (Mine cost less than $10, and I've now seen them for $4.) Alas, the kit include the charging dock (which I hope turns out to be compatible with Powermat) and a receiver cover for the Palm Pre (yawn), but it turns out that it wants to reuse the power cord from the original Palm Pre charger.
It looks like it's a mini USB connector (though it could be micro USB), but it fits into a pretty cramped tunnel in the charging dock. None of the USB cords I have on hand will fit all the way into that tunnel.
So, that's a bit of a bust, but I reckon I might buy a Palm Pre power supply since they are also pretty cheap. The looks of the Touchstone are so cool, I hope I can get it working with my MT4GS.
Anyone interested in one or two of these?
Sorry to Necro this thread but has anyone gotten this door to work with Qi chargers? I suppose it won't work out of the box but I can imagine switching out the coil with one for like a SGS3 or some such.
Thought this might be a decent thread to help poeple buying their TF700s and grabbing some goodies while they are at it. So here's what I bought. Will put up some reviews once they get here. Everything bought (and linked) through Amazon.

Yea man, it was really bad. It's basically a RAM Mount knock off, but it has a single flemsy bolt down piece. The holes were all too small to fit the seat bolt through and had to use a smaller bolt. The arm it'self wobbled and swayed and the jaws to hold the tablet were too small to even fit the tablet. Seemed like a great deal at $20, but was too good to be true. I'll probably go look at what ProClip has thought up as far as positioning tablets in my truck and just make one.
I'm thinking I'll dump the folio that I've been using for a slipcase.
The reason is I don't really need or want a stand and I'll probably start using the tab on a mount in my truck anyhoo.
I believe it may be just easier to hold onto the tablet then slip it for protection.
I'd like to find something dawg hair proof (like there is such a thing)
Been scouring Amazon plus I looked at the Fry's near us, but searching just wears me out.
Soooo I turn to the illustrious members of this great forum for perhaps a place to start.

FYI, that sleeve will not fit with Transformer. If you look at the dimensions of the iPad and Infinity, they are different. That sleeve is for the iPad. Cancel your order.
I bought a HP sleeve before that was on sale for 1$. It fits my iPad but not my Infinity.
This would probably work well if you have the dock.

I just got this one (Oops, can't post links yet. Search Amazon for "TSS13505US") and I'm happy with it, especially for $8.99 and free shipping. My Infinity + Dock fit nicely inside and the padding feels quite protective.
I got this HP 10" netbook slip case, someone suggested on here: http://www.amazon.com/HP-WV594AA-10-2-Inch-Sleeve/dp/B003UT7QD2/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header. Works nice.
