[MMX A110] Micromax A110: Jellybean 4.1.1

Mobistel Cynus T2 (Same as micromax a110) released a jellybean upgrade on their website on 6th Feb, 2013.
Following this, our great dev and modder community has come up with many roms and variants.
SECTION 1 : OFFICIAL JELLYBEAN ROM

STEPS:-
1) copy the downloaded file to your sd card
2) Get to stock recovery via mobileuncle app.
(get stock recovery from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?tzn99974u1j878j)
3) Now enter recovery mode (by pressing power and both volume buttons together)
4) Select recovery mode by pressing vol up button
5) select install zip from sd card
6) choose the folder in sd card where you have placed the jellybea zip. select that file.
7) now let it install
8) wipe dalvic cache from recovery
9) reboot.
congrats!! now you are on jellybean.
NOTE:- first boot may takke upto 2 minutes.
Rooting:-
- Replace the 'recovery.img' in the SP Flashtool file of V2 ROM with cwm recovery.img. from droidiser.com
- Load the scatter file and uncheck all options except recovery.img
- Run the flash tool. It will flash cwm recovery.
-download the cwm file from the given link and flash it via cwm.
- You are rooted.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD (DOESNT REQUIRE STOCK RECOVERY)
1) get mujahidali's bhokali v3 pre beta rom from here:- http://d-h.st/csx
2) flash via cwm/twrp recovery
3) for rooting:- The rom is already rooted, however if yours doesn't turn out to be rooted (check by root checker app in play store) then:-
Flash the update su binary from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/310/Sup...erSU-v1.04.zip
post here all your queries and doubts and i'll try to help (keep in mind that i accept that i am practically a noob and as usual i will not be responsible for any damage to your phone or sd card of anyhtin else!! Now get flashing:victory

I know that I've missed a few roms but its not because i didnt see them, rather its because i feel that they offer no susbtatial difference wrt other roms and have hence been given the cold shoulder
Android 4.2 on MMX A110
In order to enjoy 4.2 goodness on your 4.1 phone, simply flash the 4.2 Mod package from:

However photosphere is not working on our mmx a110
I'd suggest you to flash the 15-11-2012 stable package as it has given me the best results so far.
Current issues and their solutions:-
1) Gmail zoom: solution...redownload and flash again....this fixed it most people
2) 2nd sim not working: solution...flash modem.img from V2 rom link:- http://www.2shared.com/file/uYEnv01e/modem.html
3) Camera app not working: solution...reboot.
4) Auto rotate feature not working...flashing the rom after a redownload has solved the problems for most people.
5) Music app not working...use alternative music players from play store
6) SD card not recognised/ damaged....copy contents to pc and format the sd card....then put this formatted sd card into the phone.

1. Phone's Loudspeaker tweak: to Increase speaker volume
From phone's dialer type code *#*#3646633#*#*
1. swap to hardware testing
2. select audio
3.Select loudspeaker mode
4. Change the max value to 145.(u can set any value bet 128-160...but dont go beyond 150 it may spoil your loudspeaker)

How to install: Uninstall previous version either from system/app or from data/app depending upon whrever u hv installed the previous gmail. Reboot. Now install this version as normal apk.

Hey guys, here are 2 more Jelly Bean custom ROMs which work flawlessly on our A110, put the Boot.IMG from Cynus T2 Jelly Bean ROM to new ROMs and then these will flash fine with CWM Recovery. Apply the Baseband and Bluetooth patch (Modem.IMG from Stock V2).

i dont want to download the whole 250MB Rom file to get just the tool and scatter

U did a good job by opening this separate thread for JB dev. :good:
Just like to mention that DrBhokaliV3_pre_beta is already Pre-Rooted (in fact it has chainfire su binary) ...It doesn't require any rooting ...just normally flash it via CWM and you're done...! Please update the third point in the first post mentioned in the Quote.

It's good to see that JB is here for Micromax A110. I'm proposing to all active members of this thread to post few more lines on JB at the first post of this thread. As it is ported from MyCynus T2, I read there are some posts on over heating or dual SIM issue. JB users please let all know whether all of you are facing same issue on dual SIM and over heating?
1. Please post the download link of JB at first post.
2. Post flashing instruction via SP flashing tool.
3. Post how to flash via SD card.
4. Post how to root the JB MMX A110 device.
5. Post how to change the language from German to English (Basically Path to use)
6. Post how to take CWM recovery.
7. Post how to change the name from MyCynus T2 to Micromax A110 under the menu path "Settings>>About Phone>>Model Number".

Stock Music app working for me bro. I had this problem in ics...switched to play music (from play store- free)...all problems solved.

Thanks mate for your words, but i think quite a few ppl have flashed it including my self (of-course) and none of them reported this. I've also flashed it once again now...and its fine with root. Can u please check again.

Hello everybody, Greetings from Bangladesh.
After my previous rom for XOLO Q800/Symphony w125/Gionee gn708w/Fly IQ446 today i m going to present u the beautiful 'Lewa OS'
Since our device doesnt support official Lewa OS, the original rom was ported from Lenovo s920 and Jiayu G4 by a russian rom cook back37. So Basically its his work and all the credit goes to him. I just modded his built using some tweak script, and also fixed some issues like the lockscreen. So here it is guys-

Based on lewa hybrid rom ported from lenovo S920 and Jiayu G4

Removed Chinese bloatwares
Removed chinese vendor stuffs like Baidu maps, search, note, calender etc.

Better and optimized Ram management

Well, as u can see, its not totally my port. it was ported by russian dev. i just modded it a bit and fixed some issues. and building fresh lewa is a bit tough i guess, and also its time consuming. there is a thread on XDA about porting roms to mtk 65** devices. i saw there a tool for porting lewa. try that mate. or another thing u can try is find out a suitable Lewa rom from a device which is almost close to D1 as specs. and then u can mod the rom manually by changing built.pro, boot.img, updater script etc. i asked for help on mmx 110 Lewa thread. the dev is very helpful. u can ask him also.Best of luck.

Copy ur current modem.img pr firmware folder from system/etc and libcameracustom.so from system/lib n create a update.zip or paste it somewhere in ur sdcard
Flash this lewa rom.
After one boot flash the files u saved or paste them in their places n give root permissions n reboot.
U can see it working.
Change ur device name in build.prop

No Major difference I think in 4.2.1 and 4.2.2
About Dark4Droid Rom I can not say because i have not use.

I used Antutu for benchmarking and there i can see Rear Camera 4.9 mega pixel
In dialer when we type number backspace button hides under numbers

Thanks for suggestion this is purely no mod because trying to fix camera issue
and s4 mode from 116 Rom work this rom i have checked change meta inf folder because partition is different in canvas hd
i give the mod after 4-5 dayes...

try to change gpsconf file from etc folder replace with 4.1 and also change to module gps file from ur stock rom

I flashed stock v2 and reinstalled this ROM also tried to replace Bluetooth folder still no luck.plz anybody help..

Urgently Desired Color OS ROM
Hi Manish,
Color OS ROM on Kitkat with working Weather & FM Radio is urgently desired. Pl see the feasibility.

Just flashed vibe ui 2. No doubt, another awesome ROM as expected from you manish. But finding Chinese text in some apps including browser, search bar, user center etc is little disappointing as it was present in latest color os too.
Please try to fix this Manish (if possible)

if you talking about app (in green android in launcher) that is mark of I deleted all Chinese apps...jst hold on it and delete it......on other apps...since the rom is from china....so u will get some chinease text in some apps....will try to convert Chinese to english.....

contacts not syncing with google.....every time crashes contact manager when create a new contact.
its not restoring contacts with super backup app and any other apps every time crashes.
and its not pre rooted

Well...I guess I deleted some google apps ..thats why causing....flash 4.4.2 Gapps pack.....and also go to contacts app>settings>about phonebook>update it here ..

I just checked and working fine...
do one thing ...clear data of contacts app
and open contacts app>go to settings>about phonebook>click on upgrade an update it...it will fix sync bug....
