Hola Guys!
Guides for Micromax A110:
Important: If the steps given in the guide sound a bit strange (I bet they are, for newbies), click the Title to get to a full explained guide. Experienced folks will have no problems the steps given here itself.
Posting too many links to one's blog is considered unethical. So, I decided to create an index of all the guides for Canvas 2 on Droidiser.
Root and install Jelly Bean on Micromax A110: Easier Method (Thanks Paplu3)
Download this file and copy it to your sd card.
Wipe Data/Factory reset and go to Advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
Boot into clockworkmod and flash the file by going to Install zip from sdcard.
Reboot.
How to Update Micromax A110 to Cynus T2's Jelly Bean
Download Cynus T2 JB ROM and transfer to your sd cared.
If you don't have stock recovery on your mobile, download this and flash it via MobileUncle MTK Tools.
Boot into your recovery and select Apply update from sdcard.
Reboot.
Flash Modem.img. To do this, go to /system/etc/firmware and paste this file. Change permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot.
After updating to Jelly Bean, how to install CWM recovery and ROOT it
Download cwm recovery image. Renmae this file to recovery.img, if it isn't already named so.
In Flash Tools, click Scatter-loading button and locate the file named MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
Uncheck all options except recovery.
Remove battery from your phone and connect it to pc. Hit download button in Flash tool.
When completed, remove your phone and reboot. Copy the SU binaries to your sd card.
Flash via CWM recovery.
Improve Camera Quality on JB
Flash Android 4.2 camera zip via cwm.

Flash Cynus T2's ICS rom On A110
Download Cynus T2 ICS ROM and copy to your sd card.
Flash stock recovery if you have clockworkmod recovery.
Reboot into recovery and flash the rom.
Update Micromax A110 to stock rom v2
Download stock rom v2's backup. Copy it to /sdcard/clockwrokmod/backup.
Restore via cwm.
OR
Flash SP Flashable zip using SPFT.
GPS fix for Micromax A110 (ICS)
Copy gps.conf file to /system/etc/ on your device and overwrite the old file.
Swap External and Internal sdcard
Copy the modified vold.fstab to /system/etc and replace the old file. Reboot.
Flash Clockworkmod recovery on A110 (on ics)
Download CWM for MMX A110.
Flash it via MobileUncle MTK tools.
Root Micromax A110 (on ics)
Download bin4ry's rooting tool.
Extract it, connect your phone and run RunMe.bat file.
Follow instructions as stated.
Install drivers for Micromax A110 (on ics)
Download pdanet.
Connect your mobile when it asks.
Booting in to clockworkmod Recovery:
Press Power + Volume Up + Volume Down when your A110 is switched off.

Just recieved the phone 2 hrs back, initial impressions are good.
Screen is a huge improvment over micromax a100.gpu scores in antutu is only 790!!:cryingA100 had higher scores.)
however Hookup application is not getting activated..please help guys!

Please post snapshots of various benchmark tests.
And I don't think hookup is something different or better than other such apps like whatsapp. Btw, why isn't it activating? Is your phone connected to data?

Hi Friends!
Successfully rooted my device using "Root with Restore by bin4ry" method.
Once connected with PC, the drivers get installed automatically. No need to search or run around for the same.
Then follow bin4ry method and have your phone rooted!!
Of course at your own risk.

I guess I told you about that tool in the a21 OP, you can thank me for that. :kidding:
Btw, can you add some snapshots so that it can make a good read on my blog? Please post benchmark scores too. Is it based on MT6573/75/77? If yes, then I can arrange a cwm port for it!

I can develop roms for this device if you guys manage to get a working CWM kernel.

somewhere i have also seen a 4k antutu score for a110..cant find the exact link though.
And yes...data was on when i tried to activate hookup

These scores are varying and just meant to be an approximation. They shouldn't be (and can't be) taken seriously enough to gauge a device's performance.
Btw, please respond to my previous post. What's the chipset?

Testing Logs
Reserving for logging any issues encountered while testing the ROM.

Downloaded Radeon Rom file , copied to root folder of SD card, rebooted to recovery and installed the zip file, cleaned up Dalvik cache. Subsequent reboot hangs at boot screen. Reverting to previous backup. Will try installing the ROM once again.

Downloading now... Thanks for creating a custom ROM for this gr8 phone. Hope MMX A110 users can get their hands on JB (via CM10 or AOKP).
Will post ROM results once it is installed.
Can you or someone else provide a CWM flashable stock ROM in case (of issues), I need to roll back?

Having issues with the ROM. Followed instructions as per #2 post. phone stuck at boot screen for over 10 mins. 2nd attempt same result. Please look into it.

How to Install
1) First of all your Phone should be rooted.To root your phone please follow these steps here
2) Second Install CWM Recovery from here. to install CWM recovery you must be rooted follow the first step
3) Download Rom from Here extract it and you will find Clockworkmode folder put it into root of your SD Card
4) Go into the Recovery mode turn off your phone and hold vol up + power button for a while and you will be in recovery mode.
5) First Wipe data and cache partition
6) Now head to back and restore
7) Click back and Select restore it will show you the "2013-02-09..." named like this Click it and let it install and reboot

How to Install
1) First of all your Phone should be rooted.To root your phone please follow these steps here
2) Second Install CWM Recovery from here. to install CWM recovery you must be rooted follow the first step
3) Download Rom from Here extract it and you will find Clockworkmode folder put it into root of your SD Card
4) Go into the Recovery mode turn off your phone and hold vol up + power button for a while and you will be in recovery mode.
5) First Wipe data and cache partition
6) Now head to back and restore
7) Click back and Select restore it will show you the "2013-02-09..." named like this Click it and let it install and reboot

thakyou brother i have sucessfullly installed your rom n i like it its pretty smooth. I wanna know if you can help me change the camera app of A8 as i dont like the camera app in this phone specially video camera. A9 has a better camera app.

one thing i noticed that ur rom doesnt have init.d support u just made a init.d folder in it and then pasted scripts in it..
i installed ur rom and checked the init.d support with universal init.d installer and its saying
u probabaly doesnt have init.d support.
so scripts are not running

I just updated recently the page all in one guide which contains all links for Roms and mods with 2 new roms Blue bean rom by Harish Sharma & Destro Rom by Billa Vignesh .. ya and im in contact with Aleem and chethan ...also myself will realese new rom soon DeadSpace v2. Not ends here ICS comming soon by chethan...

STEPS TO FOLLOW AFTER FIRST BOOT​
This ROM is made for HD device and our device is FHD so when u first boot the rom it looks like this
DONT PANIC its normal
just run the app "resolution changer"
grant superuser permission
press ok 3 times
select width -1080
select height -1920
slect DPI - 480
press enable
press ok 3 time
reboot.
Everything will be normal.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):
1. How to enable air command?
- Hold capacitive menu button
2. How to use multi window?
- Drag 2 apps from sidebar to home screen
3. How to hide/show sidebar?
- Long press back key button for 2-3 seconds
4. Why Led indicator (sms/call notifications at top) is not working for incoming missed-call or missed-sms?
- Install Light Manager (included in rom) and change LED color to "Green" for CALLS and SMS and also run Test to check color. LEDs of phone can show only two colors, Green and Red, so do not change to any other color, else LED LIGHTS will not work.
5. Why do I always experience Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped?
- If you have facebook messenger installed, drag down chat head(s) to close it then reopen messenger application shortcut to restore System UI back to normal. (Do this if you encounter similar issue with other messenger applications like Viber, Skype, etc...)
- Freezing Facebook messenger will also solve this issue.
- Just found out that even the original HDC Galaxy Note 3 clone which is the source of this ROM also experience this issue.

wipe data/factory reset
format system
install ROM
reboot
if ask for recovery flash select NO.

Hey bro, Installed last night and using it since, with out sleep
1st thing I notice is resolution problem as shown in ss below, even its the problem some apps like whatsapp, After using kk custom rom, this ROM feels little laggy, and battery obviously not impressive, anyway core is a jellybean system so can't expect more in terms of performances
but if this ROM was available b4 kk update its the best note3 mimic ROM so far, camera quality is superb, but MP is inverse, front is having 13mp and rare with 6mp, i think it should be vice versa,
Aircommmand only pops up, which make me so happy but sad that only search options works on it
multiwindow is Woking with litl lag but it works :thumbup:, any idea of including other apps in side bar for multiwindow, tried all muilti window manager apps on play store.
Smart stay works sometimes or may be I don't know how to make use of it
Dolby and music player is working like charm
Air gesture works well on launcher and gallery
Really ROM looks premium,
I would suggest any who want to have a best note3 ROM its would be this

Is ur phone came with JB.
FLashing rom is ok.
just try taking backup of jb rom
flash kk rom take backup
now restore each and try if its working(noth jb and KK backups)

Have u flashed sotck KK before installing roms.
Just try flashing philz and try restoring kk/jb rom if it works.
if not just flash whole kk stock rom with sptools first and then use philz
try jb/kk restore
report back.:good::good:

When kk stock rom was new, i was on stock jb 4.2.1, using CTR v2.4 i was able to take backup & restore of stock jb to test other jb roms like miui, SGN3 etc. when puduraj sir & u made easy to flash kk rom, i switched to kk permentaly, I usually replace the recovery file with custom (CTR v2.5) recovery in the folder and then flash it using sptools. Was using for long, then when u released LGG3 ROM, I wasn't sure of switching so I took backup stock kk ROM, and flashed LGG3, at certain point I got bored of custom rom so tried of restoring but was not successful, so I flashed SGS5 then urs original SGN3 now on xperia ROM, all flashed using CTR v2.5, from my experiences in CTR v2.5 backup of both jb&kk works on it but only jb roms can be restored.

just flash rom again with philz and take backup of both
see if all things are working (mainly camera)
then restore one by one and see if all working:good:

is this jb or kk..ur header shows jb and sc shows kk...

This is rom is the best rom I've seen so far.. Its just that the resolution thingy went bad.. Rest all features work with a boom.. What only thing matter to me is the resolution.. N i am pretty sure that avi sir will fix this soon.. Thanks for this great rom sir.. !
