Sweet

Just to let everyone know. To set the wallpaper you have to do it through the gallery. It wont work through the wallpaper selector unless you want stock wallpaper.
I'm also gonna add a version with the 15 lidroid toggles thanks to edgehood writing the code for me. I just need some time to add didacts mods for battery, clock, and statusbar.

Link is good i just checked. AFH changed dns and recommends the following. this is email they sent me
Just letting you know we changed DNS Providers so some people might think the site is down but its not. Just have them wait a few min, clear cache, cookies and maybe dns cache.
The site is fully up.
and this as well
f users still dont get access to the site after doing those steps just send them links to HERE
This will let them access the site until the dns updates. This was much needed and now on a faster cloud dns setup with no limits.

Nice... good work
Just letting ya know b-boys talk won't work because it's 4.2.2 talk... In order to get Google now to work from the system/app folder you just need to extract the lib folder from the app and merge it with the system/lib folder

Prdog1 is helping me every step of the way with his thing he even themed the toggles and and clock in notification area blue :good: This rom gonna be as much his as is mine. Make sure everyone thanks him and hopefully soon i can get this thing going with the toggles +mods. I really do like the battery change on the fly but it is a pain in the @$$.

no problem. i also have a blue themed and green if you want it. also didact did an amazing job with his ROM control, i just don't see the need for 8 different batteries personally. i know it makes it easier on devs to implement other mods and gives choices so you don't have to go out and find a specific battery, but i'm happy with 1 battery. hope the Gtalk works out... :good:

What battery do you guys like the best. In case i can't do the whole mod. My top 3 are castaway naddict and text. Just want some ideas. Also how about the clock center or right

I like a text battery. Thanks for your work. Looking forward to trying this when I have some time.:good:

Anyone want to test out the new version and give me some ideas just pm me. I had to get rid of didacts multi mod to add lidroid 23 toggles, still has inverted boy's apps and inverted email, removed Verizon wireless from pull down, menu to kill, and other stuff.

I've been testing out for mike and I have to say this is another smooth rom with some of the goodies that we've come to expect from the amazing devs on d2vzw. I love the inverted apps. Mike's also incorporated menu to kill, lockscreen torch, removed vzw from the pull down, 23 toggles, and some sick theming. Hope everyone's looking forward to just another kicka$$ rom to download. His port of the People's Rom was just a start as he's kicking it into high gear with JaR!
Also, just a word of advice for those who download, some of the Rom control mods aren't working yet so read the OP before asking what's up.

Thanks for all the testing and flashing for me. You have been a great help. The OP is updated with JaR 2.2 and i will add changelog and some pics later. I had to get rid of didact multi-mod so all options in rom control are not functional at this point. You can select multiple lockscreens and lockscreen torch . also the transparency statusbar works too. 0-50-100%. I hope you all enjoy and i will be updating it as often as i can so suggestions are welcomed. my next step is to get the clock mod and battery selector on the fly so keep an eye out for that but may be a bit because i am currently working on TPR 3.1.6 right now

[Theme]UPDATED*9/26 TransFuzion v2 theme-for Infused and SURFACE ROMS - CWM flashable

Ok, This theme will work on Infused v2+ rom. And another version has been added for S.U.R.F.A.C.E. rom.
Transfuzion for S.U.R.F.A.C.E. is pretty much the same as in the screenshots, except this version scales correctly with the low DPI,and a few differences here and there. The included launcher's application drawer unfortunately will NOT scale properly on anything below 210 or so.
*See Transfuzion theme on the Galaxy Note here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542086
*Transfuzion(blue) v2 is here. Enjoy!
*COMING SOON to CM7 Theme chooser!!! - see post #86 for screenshots

*9/26 - Scaled down the batt and signal bar mod to fit the status bar better, Fixed the "H" not showing issue, New Usb connect/disconnect graphic (7th screen shot), Themed most the stock apps icons, Default font added back.
*9/18 - Transfuzion v2 release! Includes the re-done theme, most of the framework updated, status bar pull-down updated, new status bar icons, a themed dialer, contacts, swype, settings, launcher, google search widget, new market, and xda app. Credits for the market and xda go to Paul Diddy.
*9/10 - Added blue claw mark signal bars and glowing blue circle batt mod. Added new wifi signal, flight mode, and vibration/silent mode icons for Infused ONLY for now. Will post one for SURFACE later. If you want a revert, just reflash the full theme.
*9/3 -Infused version - Added new notification tray to be more readable. Blue overscroll glow now included (no longer a need to flash the add-on first) different battery mod added, and a revert back to the original one posted in downloads in case you dont like it. Ported transfuzion over to S.U.R.F.A.C.E. rom.
*8/30 - added a cm7 style blue battery mod without the percentage. Flash via CWM. I will add a circle batt mod and some others later. Also added a couple wallpapers, see post #2. Hope you enjoy
This package is CWM flashable, and includes the theme, a stock gingerbread launcher that I modded and themed blue, a themed dialer, a themed google search bar widget, themed xda app to match (paul diddys remix). I think thats it as far as extras. I will be starting another thread just for extras like themed dialers, apks, etc.

your welcome, i hope you enjoy it. about the pulldown, are u referring to the nofication tray text being difficult to read? if so, i can post a seperate package later on with a different notification tray. Looking good so far E! The one suggestion...and I know its a nagging one, and I am not sure if its possible but that notifications and the text for the title can it be changed from black to say blue as a contrasting color? Even with the transparency and a white background it is still hard to read. I thing the description text under the title as light grey is good, its just that title that needs a little boost. Thanks buddy. ;-)

STORY:
MY NAME IS MICHAEL AND I AM A NEW DEVELOPER...WHEN I SAY NEW I REALLY MEAN NEW! I AM IN NO WAY AS SKILLED AS THE OTHER MAGNIFICENT DEVELOPERS THAT ARE HERE ON XDA. I AM SIMPLY DOING THIS FOR FUN AND TRYING TO BUILD MY SKILLS STEP BY STEP. I WAS FIRST INFLUENCED A WHILE BACK WHEN I HAD MY FIRST ANDROID PHONE WHICH WAS THE OG DROID AND I ALWAYS WANTED TO BUILD ROMS AND DO MY OWN THEMEING. SIMPLE FACT WAS THAT AT THAT TIME THERE WERE NO DEVS THAT REALLY WANTED TO HELP(AT LEAST FROM WHAT I SAW) SO NOW A FEW YEARS PASS BY AND I FINALLY SAW A GREAT DEV POST A GREAT THREAD ABOUT HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN ROM. I READ IT CAREFULLY AND FOLLOWED THE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS...AND NOW AFTER ABOUT A MONTH FROM READING AND FIGURING OUT LITTLE THINGS HERE AND THERE I HAVE FINALLY BAKED MY OWN ROM ALL THANKS TO EDGEHOOD! HE WAS THE CREATOR OF THE THREAD THAT MADE ME REALIZE THAT I COULD DO MY OWN ROM AND DO IT MY OWN WAY. HE GAVE ME CONFIDENCE IN SOMETHING THAT I DIDN'T HAVE CONFIDENCE IN. THANK YOU EDGEHOOD BECAUSE WITHOUT YOUR WORDS OF WISDOM AND YOUR DO IT YOURSELF THREAD I WOULD HAVE NOT EVEN THINKING TWICE TO TRY TO BUILD MY OWN ROM NOW WITH THAT LITTLE STORY ASIDE LET ME INTRODUCE TO YOU ALL HERE ON XDA THE AVID ROM!!!
ROM:
THIS ROM IS A COMPLETELY STOCK ROM BASED OFF OF SCROSLERS DE-ODEXED OFFICIAL JB 4.1.2 - I535VRBMB1 BASE . IT IS:
•Stock Rooted
•Zip Align
•Busybox
•ADB as root (Remount)
•Removed VZW installer
•init.d support

IT IS BAKED WITH SBREEN94'S KERNEL "ZEUS" SBREEN94'S SUGGEST THAT YOU USE PEGASUSQ AS GOVERNOR AND EITHER ZEN OR CFQ AS SCHEDULER...AS FOR FREQUENCIES I MYSELF USE 1512MAX 594MIN
THANKS TO ANDYBONES THIS ROM COMES WITH LIDROIDS 23 TOGGLES, ADVANCED POWER MENU+MENU TO KILL AND ON GOING WIFI NOTIFICATION(OFF) MODS!
REMOVED A TON OF BLOAT AND ONLY KEPT A FEW APPS THAT I THINK SOME PEOPLE USE DAILY
UNFORTUNETLY I HAVE YET TO LEARN HOW TO ADD AROMA INSTALLER TO THIS ROM SO SADLY YOU CAN NOT BUILD IT HOW YOU LIKE IT BUT I PROMISE YOU ALL THAT I AM WORKING ON IT...INFACT IF ANYONE OUT THERE WOULD LIKE TO HELP ME WITH THIS ROM AND GETTING SOME THEMEING DONE AND AROMA INSTALLER AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU GUYS THINK MIGHT MAKE THIS ROM BETTER I AM OPEN TO ALL SUGGESTIONS AND HELPING HANDS(PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO HOLD MY HAND AND DO THE MODS/THEMEING FOR ME BUT YET ASKING TO GET POINTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND POSSIBLY TEACHING ME SO THAT I CAN DO IT ON MY OWN...IF YOU HELP YOU WILL BE ADDED TO MY THANK YOU'S AND YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE CREDIT YOU HIGHLY DESERVE).
WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR PHONE. BY FLASHING THIS ROM YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT CONSIQUENCES MAY OCCUR AND ARE HEREBY TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING PLEASE SEARCH XDA FOR HELP WITH FLASHING/ROOTING. IF YOU BREAK YOUR PHONE OR BRICK IT...IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM.
PROBLEMS:
NONE SO FAR(been using it for 2 weeks) HIT ME UP IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY.
FLASHING:
1. DOWNLOAD AVID ROM.ZIP
2. PLACE .ZIP ON ROOT OF EXT. SDCARD
3. I RECOMMEND USING TWRP
4. DO BACK UP IN TWRP
5. DO FULL WIPE(CACHE/DALVIK/SYSTEM/DATA)
6. FLASH AVID ROM.ZIP
7. AFTER FLASH REBOOT(twrp may ask you to restore root before it reboots just swipe where it says to)
8. LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE OR 2 AND NOW YOUR AVID!
THANKS:
HUGE THANKS TO EDGEHOOD...WITH OUT HIS GUIDENCE THIS WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE

Extras Link:-https://www.dropbox.com/s/yjodhcq2ecmt5oq/Extras.zip
Instructions for adding extras...YOU MUST ADD EXTRAS BEFORE YOU INSTALL ROM: download both ROM and Extras .zip; unzip both ROM and Extras to your computer; go into the Extras folder and check out the folders for the extras you want; copy the .apk's you want into system/app on the ROM(note: some Extras require you to also add/replace libs...libs can be found in system/lib on the ROM)(note#2: some of the .apk's in the Extra folder will require you to replace other .apk's in the ROM..just delete the same .apk that is in the ROM and replace it with the .apk you have choosen from the Extras folder); once you are done adding/replacing all the files and/or libs make a .zip folder of: boot, system and meta-inf folders; give the .zip a name and place it on the root of you ext-sdcard; since these are just apps you will not have to do a full wipe BUT WIPE CACHE AND DALVIK CACHE; then flash and your good! once i get aroma down packed then it'll be easier but for now if you want the extras just follow the guide a list of whats in the Extras folder is at bottom where "updates" is at.

He kind of said this is his first ROM, and most of the features are things a lot of other roms have. The important, more subtle part is that we have another dev on scene and although his ROM is pretty standard atm, everyone starts somewhere, even devs like synergy and paranoid, and his future work may start to bring more unique features.
Coming from someone who likes to build his own kernels from source (for fun and learning), and knowing how much work that alone can take until you get the hang of it and get your own process going, I understand his excitement of building a new ROM and getting into the dev community.
To dev: good luck to you man. I usually run rooted stock or synergy (although MOAR has been working itself in there ), so I'll be sure to comment if I find anything.

Based upon what I've read it sounds like a very simple ROM (which I've been looking for) and seems to be quite the pleaser.
I admire your efforts and hope to see more of your work in the future!

Aroma is kind of a PITA... Lol
If you don't know C then you kinda just have to read it and figure it out yourself. Go look at my updater-script and aroma-config in my META-INF folder if you wanna see how it's done.
You have me on gtalk so I can answer any questions you have

Hello to you all
This is my official thread for the work in progress theme for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and S4-i9505 running Android 4.3. It all started from messing around with the system apk files, just as a hobby. Now I'm seriously going to re-design the whole SystemUI, Settings and Framework, plus stock apps such as camera, gallery etc.
- So far I have themed -
- Toggles, wifi, mobile data etc, plus the blue toggle light.
- Settings menu for the toggles.
- Connection icons.
- Notificationbar icons, such as handsfree mode, block mode, alarm icon, airplane mode, bluetooth etc.
- 3 icons in the taskmanager.
- Circle battery modified to change color from green after 50 % slowly from yellow to red, suits my taste better.
- Lowbatt screen warning.
- 9.11.2013 Update, statusbar gps, wifi hotspot, eye, usb when plugged.
- 9.11.2013 Framework mods, settings tabs now have nice light when pressed, it pretty much effect on all tabs.
- 10.11.2013 Update, Settings and taskmanager is now themed, and minor bug fixes in settings tab images.
- 11.11.2013 Update, Framework mods for the icons, and background image, also drivingmode and connection icon changed for a better one, see screenshots below.
- 11.11.2013 Second update, less attacking signature in the background, new designed togglelights and taskbar pulldown light, also no circle battery version, notice you have to flash back your original systemUI in order this to rid of the circle battery mod, then flash the no circle battery version.
- 12.11.2013 update, framework mods, added transparency to menus.
- 13.11.2013 update, more frameworkmods, added themed aircommand, just pop-out the pen and see the difference.
- 14.11.2013 update, more and more framework mods, most system buttons now themed, except switches and checkmarks, some minor tweaks and fixes...still longway to go to...
- 15.11.2013 update to version 0.85. After bunch of headache with framework windows, spinners, sliders and stuff, I finally got everything right.
So what's different? Buttons, checkmarks and checkmark frames and button frames, sliders, spinners and transparency is way less than before in the menus, updated to blue-ish keyboard, and reverted some menus back to stock look due issues with 9 ending png's in the framework, those are ***** to work with I say. Oh yeah, and settings now have candy looking switches.
- 16.11.2013 update to version 0.87. Fixed transparency issues with checkmark boxes being too invisible, gave clear button less black color, and now in white themed apps buttons no longer are too dark, fixed them to match right, if you test Splanner and adding event, you'll see in the 0.85 version that the buttons are too dark, now they are not, also ok and cancel buttons are slightly changed in color.
- 16.11.2013 Second update to version 0.88, bug fixes and few icons changed.
- 18.11.2013 Update. Done theming framework res drawable-hdpi, God it took me many hours to change icons that barely never visible, tiny 32x32 and 48x48 icons, 340 of them seperately thru photoshop, FRUSTRATING! fixed few bugs, changed meny overlays, took off the greenish shine from the top of each windows.
- 19.11.2013 Update. Touchwiz launcher is now complitely themed, and Verizon signal bars work just fine.
- 20.11.2013 Update. Fixed few compability issues, added graphics for the lockscreen pattern unlock, fixed small bugs and critical bug from the dropdown windows .9.png's.
- 22.11.2013 Update. Completed twframework-res, fixed few icons from framework-res, made few icons more sharp due resize issues. I still can't find the earphones png location, it is mystery to me, and taskmanager press for the 3 buttons is also hidden from me, asked help from Bobcatsrom, but no asnwer yet. About half of the .9.png's will remain untouched, so my theme for now will not have all the toast windows and menu windows themed, but it is ok because most of them are looking good already.
- 25.11.2013 Update to v1.01. Changed buttons from Touchwiz appdrawer to be more visible for what is chosen. Contacts is now about 50% themed, this takes ages because there are still about 300 png's to theme. Removed my signature from the background because it bothered contacts buttons.
- 25.11.2013 Second update to v1.02. Contacts dialer start to look much better now.
- 26.11.2013 Update to v1.05. See my contacts thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542134 for what is new and instructions for the bug with the SecContacts.apk mostly with Spint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
- 29.11.2013 Update to version 1.1. Updated contacts and caller, few tweaks here and there.
- 30.11.2013 Update to version 1.12. Made caller icons very clear, instead of a glow.
- 1.12.2013 Update. See Galaxyman's Caller thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548176
- 11.12.2013 Update. Finally fixed white screen and buttons for the contacts and dialer for T-mobile. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon still have to wait thou... notice that you need to download this fix seperately, link is below HUGE THANK YOU FOR THIS GOES FOR TIFFANY84 and FOREVERLOCO For all the work.
So here is the fix for the contacts and dialer whoever have this white background problem.

I agree. Development is slow compared to other devices so any little contribution counts

Yepp. I've been wanting tabletUI since kitkat came out, then when PA said they won't be implementing it, I got mad but understood why. With more knowledge and experience I hope I can implement it myself sometime. Theres not much info about it, but I read that Google stripped the tabletUI code from kitkat , wondering if we can just put the code back , then again its not as simple as that because I believe there's a couple more files to mess with that deal with that code.

tabletui needed to die because it was segmenting devices even further. keep one system ui and let apps chose their own layouts either tablet or phone. look at the playstore it has list options for displaying optimized for tablet or all apps.
PA doesn't need tabletui because with PIE and HALO you don't need it.
PIE and HALO can be optimized for various phone or tablet sizes.
what is nice is that with expanded desktop you can hide access to default softkey and/or notifications per your preference and use PIE with or without HALO.
the ability to hide the softkeys is also solution to the horrendous back button found in softkeys, i find myself using the in-app back button more often with softkeys hidden.
Agreed . Although PIE and HALO do make a good impression for tablet users, I personally liked the tabletUI because of the combination of status and Nav bar together at the bottom , it just looked awesome and not like a big phone per say lol but I do agree with why it had to die .

I think I found a problem. I can't seem to install apps manually. The "install" button when you select an apk isn't working. It can't be the tablet itself because apps install just fine on cm 11.

I noticed this when enabling HALO. Do you have it enabled when you try installing manually ?

Yeah, I have halo enabled. Could that be it?
Edit: Yep, Halo causes the problem.

I think it has something to do with apps overriding each other. I'll have an update by tonight which should fix it and other features as well!

install fails
For some reason, I cannot get this ROM to install. I am coming from CM 10.1 Table UI, and I have wiped everything except internal memory, 2-3 times, and the install of this ROM fails each time.
I am running TWRP V2.6.3.0.
Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM10.1 builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Yep, it's using the JBX KK kexec kernel so expect some tussle with battery life. It's not THAT bad though, it actually has good memory usage.

Tried on System 1 multiple times and it gave me a warning after trying to reboot. So i said "no" and then tried to install bmm, and tried to reboot but same result. Followed instruction in OP for install. Not sure what is going on, but this ROM sounds awesome, would love to have it as system 1

That's weird, but I highly recommend that you try it again on a different system to avoid having to fxz if it soft-bricks

Noted and added to the bug list, but try fixing permissions in recovery to see if that helps. Also guys, don't attempt running ART as it causes bootloop.

We're unable to de-kexec roms above 4.2.2 due to the major file changes and higher kernel integration, so that makes it much harder to work without kexec.
I think I found a bug. After sending a MMS in Google Hangouts, it force closes, and whenever I try to open a thread, it continues to force close. Cleared hangouts data to fix this problem when it occurred.
Also, keyboard is unresponsive at times. For example, when I enter hangouts through ActiveDisplay, the keyboard pops up and i can press any button i want, but the letters are not inputted into the area i am trying to type to. Clearing the recent list seems to help so far.

thanks for the ROM.. just my personal thoughts..
First Impression : + quite stable, + lot of customization, + loving the active display (though A2 is not LED display like new MotoX which can be power saving ), + even like the Suspend Actions and Wakelock Blocker
Actual Impression: (yet to conclude.. mainly waiting for any non-compromising bugs and battery life)
Once again Thanks a lot !! :good:
