Apex Notifier is an extension application for Apex Launcher Pro (2.3+) and DashClock Widget (Android 4.2+). It provides notification data to those applications and does nothing on its own.
NEW: Apex Notifier now supports Android Wear devices!
Check the battery level of your phone straight from your wrist. There's no need to take the phone out of your pocket just to see how much battery is remaining. When an Android Wear watch is connected to your phone, a battery card appears on the watch that shows you the current battery level and charging status. To set up, just launch Apex Notifier on your phone and turn on Battery > Show on Android Wear. To customize the experience, you may control when the battery card shows up (e.g., when not charging or the battery drops below a certain threshold). You'll also find options to show additional battery information like health, temperature, and voltage.

When used with Apex Launcher Pro, unread counts will show up in badges on application icons. Please enable Apex Notifier in Apex Settings > Notification settings.
When used with DashClock Widget, Apex Notifier displays useful information from various sources. Please enable Apex Notifier in DashClock Extensions > Add Another Extension > Apex Notifier. You may enable up to 5 extensions for DashClock.
Supported Apps
Missed Calls
Unread SMS
Calendar Appointments
Gmail
HTC Mail
Samsung Email
K-9/Kaiten Mail
Battery Level
Stock Email
Google Talk (deprecated)
Google Hangouts (Android 4.3+)
WhatsApp (Android 4.3+)
Google Play (Android 4.3+)
Google Voice
Starbucks (deprecated)
Notes
Unread SMS provides the number of unread messages, not unread conversations.
Gmail unread count requires Gmail version 4.0.5 or higher.
If you update Gmail or install K-9/Kaiten Mail after installing Apex Notifier, you may have to re-install Apex Notifier to get proper permissions.
You do not need this extension for Aqua Mail. Just turn on external notifiers in Apex Launcher Pro, and you will see the unread count badge.
Battery level will be displayed in a numeric badge on Battery apps (the Settings app by default) in Apex Launcher Pro. Some battery settings (e.g., status, time, details) are only applicable for DashClock.
Notification data for Email, Google Voice, and Starbucks are retrieved from widgets. Please set up your account in those apps first. Depending on how often each app refreshes its widget, data may not be updated in real time.
Features listed under Labs are experimental and may stop working in the future.
When used with Apex Launcher Pro, please install Apex Launcher before installing Apex Notifier.
Apex Notifier only works with official versions of Apex Launcher Pro (2.3+). Please do not ask for support if you are using a modified or pirated version.
Feature Requests
For now, only apps listed above are supported. Integration with additional apps may be implemented in the future if there is official API or public content provider.

Apex Notifier beta is now available from Google Play! Here's how to get beta updates:
First, join the Apex Launcher Beta Google Group. You won't get beta updates unless you are a member of this group. Make sure that you use the same Google account you use for Google Play. This is the same Google Group for Apex Launcher Beta. If you have already joined the group, you may skip this step.
Next, visit this link and click Become a Tester. If you want to leave the beta program, simply return to that link and click Leave the Test.
Finally, visit the Google Play page for Apex Notifier to update to the latest beta version.
Note: As Google replaces Talk with Hangouts, support for Google Talk has been removed since v2.0. Hangouts is supported via the new notification API. You need to be on Android 4.3+ and turn on Notification Access for Apex Notifier to get Hangouts support.

For now, only apps listed above are supported. Integration with additional apps may be implemented in the future if there is official API or public content provider. There is currently no plan to support apps that do not expose APIs (e.g., WhatsApp, KakaoTalk). It is possible to support those apps by listening to status bar notifications using an accessibility service. However, it is hacky and suffers from some known issues (with Google Now and Talkback etc.)

Hi, thanks for the new features.
I want to ask you how i can translate Apex Notifier.
Let me know. Regards.
This sounds great! Can't wait to upgrade my phone to Apex 2 to get a look at it.
How about support for Tasker? That would really make it a killer (I don't know whether Tasker has any open api, but I think so)

I'm not really clear yet on what Apex Notifier is able to do, but I'm thinking if it would just change Tasker variables upon events then the user would be able to do pretty cool stuff based on that. Or vice versa, if Tasker could trigger Apex Notifier to send notifications that would be nice as well. Obviously just thinking out of thin air here though :laugh:
Found a page on Tasker's wiki with a list of other apps that integrates with Tasker, guess some of them could give good ideas. http://tasker.wikidot.com/plug-ins-and-3rd-party. Haven't really found any api, but since all those apps does it, I guess it has to be easy

Emoticons on Android have always been a bit of a weird topic in terms of compatibility. For years now the people of the nomoreboxes group have been trying to solve this by porting over the Japanese fonts with all the emoticons and unicode objects within them to Android, and my aim with this app is to make it very easy to install them and a keyboard to input them
Emoji Installer
What does Emoji Installer do?
- In one tap it installs the font and xml needed for you to be able to see emoji and unicode from iPhone users and others with the font. This is extremely useful if you have friends who have iDevices and send you icons, but you just can't see them!
Features
- Easy, 1 tap installation
- Font supports Android 2.2 and above
- No messing with root file managers or permissions, no need to even download the font file manually
Note: an active internet connection is required at all times to use this app, it's used for downloading the fonts (main font is 13mb, addons are about 1mb each) as well as checking the IAPs
Play Store Description said:
THIS APP DOES NOT GIVE YOU COLOUR EMOTICONS! THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A FONT AND MUST BE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF YOUR DEVICE'S FIRMWARE!
This application installs the font and keyboard required for inputting and viewing emoji on Android. Please read the full description for information on how it works and what are In App Purchases
In the free version of Emoji Installer, you get the ability to install the font from http://nomoreboxes.ws fully automatically, after pressing the install button.
If you choose, you can buy the in app purchases for the following:
Emoji Keyboard £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs a keyboard for easily inputting emoticons into any text field, including messages. Message your friends with iPhones and they will be able to see all of what you send
Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+. Anything below that will not be able to purchase it or the value pack
More Emoji £0.60 (or equivalent)
This installs an extra emoji font, from Android 4.2 with a few tweaks, which allows for more emoticons to be viewed and for some to be Android themed, including almost all of the faces to be cute "Andy" the Android robot icons
Value Pack £1.00 (or equivalent)
This is both of the options in one, saving almost 20% from buying them separately.
As the Emoji Keyboard is Android 4.0+, anything below that will not be able to purchase this item
Want to see those emoticons and unicode icons but end up with boxes or blank spaces? This app is for you! It installs the font required for Android to be able to see emoticons and unicode items on apps such as the following:
Messaging (SMS and MMS from even the iPhone and other devices)
Palringo (Including almost all of the unicode items and iOS users' emoticons)
WhatsApp
Kik
Facebook
Twitter
Google+
Any other apps that use emoticons and unicode, even those from iOS users
Supports iOS smiileys from iOS 5 and 6 also!
Disclaimer: if you encounter any bugs with the font, that is out of my control, as this app only installs them. However, if you encounter bugs with the installation such as force closes or the app hanging, please e-mail me using the contact details below, I will try to help

Please look at the app, it is not paid. I have talked about this with other RCs and you are allowed to post it as it's free with IAPs
Also, display of emojis is NOT built into stock Android, you only get a very small amount. Go onto a service like Palringo and you will find there's loads you cannot see.
Please read and use common sense before accusing me of things

In android 4.2 and 4.1 there is a font included called "AndroidEmoji", which displays some but not others, the font this installs displays almost all of the others.
Also, I'm talking of AOSP here, not any OEM build, which may or may not have a custom TTF.
I've been looking though this stuff, and I know for sure that this is the case, otherwise why would a free app be needed to do nothing?

I've just made a few server sided changes to fix a bug that meant on some devices the keyboard is not activated by default after installation. If anyone has issues with this after now (after installing again), please contact me
Seems you can't activate a keyboard with code, expect an update very soon which allows you to activate it manually shortcutted from the app, but for now, go to Settings > Language & Input and tick the iWnn box, accepting the box
Just pushed another update (sorry for so many!)
Minor UI fixes
I also fixed the bug I mentioned above before
Just submitted a new version to the Play Store:
2.0 (24/5/13)
Brand new download UI
- Gives you the status of the download
- Much more reliable
- Should fix bugs on the HTC one where it jumps all downloads
- Added an automatic reboot and helpful activation of the keyboard after the reboot
Fixed bug where it would download the wrong extra on some devices
Fixed a couple of UI bugs/typos

Hi
Is this using unicode (new) Emoji compatible with IOS5+ Windows Phone 8 & Jellybean or softbank (old) Emoji compatible with IOS4- and not a lot else? Cheers!
edit: looks like softbank, or at least the free bit is anyway.
So basically this replaces the emoji font for yours (wich i assume has more emojis).
I'm running Android 4.1.1, wich has smaller emojis (bigger ones where introduced in 4.1.2 update). Probably what they did was update the emoji font right? Is it possible you can do this with your app?
I'm testing your app and i see the small emojis i want the bigger version

Full disclosure: The app is completely free to download and enjoy for everyone! There are 2 different in-app purchases to expand on the functionality of the app and help me out with future development… If you like the app, feel free to show it and buy the in-app purchases in the settings menu
One last note: while the app isn't open source, I have put a lot of work into open sourcing a lot of the components on my GitHub. I do this because I wanted to give back to all the developers and users out there that gave me so much and dealt with me while I've been learning everything that I have over the past year! If there's ever anything you wonder about in any of my apps, I'm more than happy to give detailed explainations about the thought process behind it and practices I used to implement it, or put up a code sample when applicable. I really just want to help everyone who has development questions so ask away
Some screenshots, cause who doesn't love that?
And just so everyone knows, me and my bro are releasing a new twitter app today as well, dubbed Talon for Twitter that you will all absolutely love I don't think he has an xda thread up yet, but here is his google+ community for more information! I think I only need to say two words to get you to check it out, push notifications Enjoy both apps and let us know what you think!

no, it reads everything from the default sms database on your phone. if they show in any other third party apps (sliding messaging, handcent, go sms, chomp, textra, etc) then they will show here.
This app it's amazing, searched a long time for an app like this, it has everything a SMS app needs and it's very handy. Keep up the good work, i will buy pro features for sure!
EDIT: Strange...now seems to work ( it seems was something related to number format for the messages imported ). Nevermind
The only third-party messaging app I'm gonna install. Love the UI :good:
Is this meant as an evolution of Sliding Messaging? Won't the 2 apps kind of step on each other in terms of function?

Thanks. User error on my part, it's all working now. I really do like the look of this app. I've been on Textra for a while, but I'll see how this goes.
Love the UI.
Some suggestions :
- First time I installed the iOS7 Emoji plugin, EvolveSMS crashed when I touched the smiley icon (sent you a report). I relaunched the app, and in the conversation I was, the contact name and number was "0", with no picture displayed.
- The only reason I would not use your app (for now) is the privacy setting : I want to hide only the message, not the contact name.
I'm sure someday I will uninstall my current SMS app for EvolveSMS, and I'm really waiting for this day...
The app is working fine so far though, nothing to report

Love the design and speed, might replace Sliding Messaging on my device. :good:
I have two things with it:
Question:
Is there a faster way to start a new message than sliding out the conversation menu and press the new message button there? For me that's somehow a bit impractical (might be only my opinion)...
Problem:
All my contacts are stored with the international prefix (+43 in my case).
When I try to answer to an existing thread I immediately get a message from my provider saying "message can't be sent to the number..." where I see the number missing the + at the beginning, even though in the conversation list I see the number including the +. When I start a new message to the same contact everything is fine.

hmm strange, I'll have to look at it. thanks for reporting.
I tried it. It is a bit similar to Sliding, will this application disappear for Evolvesms?
The UI is great, the application works well. I'm only waiting for a French translation and some ergonomic improvement. (maybe a setting to start the application on the conversations' list or an easier access to the contacts to write a new conversation without coming back on the menu?)
If you want some help to translate in French, it would be a pleasure. ?

App seems great to me!! All of the features of the old default android SMS app, with the looks of Hangouts!
only features I would suggest:
have a dropbox backup scheduler, so it backs up automatically at certain intervals, aka once a day or whatever
I'd like to have the notification icon as a variable to change in the "individual notifications" setting, so for instance one friend's notification icon might be purple and another would be orange... just a suggestion!!

AIO Launcher is not ordinary home screen. It does not have colorful icons, many animation effects and a variety of themes. Instead, AIO Launcher uses a screen space to show you the most important information.
AIO Launcher can display the following information on the screen:
* Weather - current weather and forecast for 10 days;
* System monitor - RAM and NAND usage, percentage of battery power;
* Player - when you turn on the music, playback control buttons appear;
* Control panel - toggles for WiFi/BT/GPS etc;
* Notifications - standard android notifications;
* Frequent apps - frequently used applications buttons;
* Frequent contacts - the list of recent contacts (via plugin);
* Your apps - the icons of the selected applications;
* SMS - recently received SMS (via plugin);
* Dialer - numpad for quick calls;
* Timer - timer start buttons;
* Mail - list of received emails;
* RSS - latest news;
* Twitter - all tweets or a single user tweets;
* Telegram - recent telegram messages;
* Calendar - upcoming events in the calendar;
* Exchange rates - currency exchange rates;
* Map - your current position on the map (paid);
* Audio Recorder - record, play and share audio;
* Calculator - simple calculator;
* Bitcoin - the bitcoin price.
Usage:
* To access the list of all applications, drag from the left edge of the screen;
* To refresh the information on the screen, pull down;
* Hold finger on various elements of the screen to open menu;
* To open settings, hold your finger on the search button, and then click the gear icon;
* Hold the title of the widget to move it around;
* Any widget can be disabled in settings;
* To remove an application, open the application menu, hold your finger on the desired application, and drag it to the recycle bin icon.
Google Play: AIO Launcher
Download: Dropbox
.
Anyone used this enough yet care to give a review?
Placing calls and the my apps widget are both not working for me. I can launch my dialer, textra's or contacts but the launcher won't place phone calls. The My Apps widget says drag here, but after doing so is blank. I've tried reinstalling the app and rebooting. I'm on AICP nightlife's with magisk root. Android version 8.0.0 on a Nexus 6P.
Edit: After reviewing screenshots, the theming is not working either. It changes the system information panel but none of the app names have any color behind them not a border. They are just text. The icons are also not showing in the app menu. I shot the $.99 your way before testing and I'm cool with that. The app has a great concept. If you need any logs or other information let me know. I'll attach screenshots when I leave work.
1. Neon mode won't enable.
2. Apps in side menu have no icons when option is enabled which also results in them not being able to be dragged to home screen.
3. occasionally crashes for some reason
Pixel XL 8.1 DP1
For those who are experiencing problems on android 8. Try version 1.4.2.
The app crashes too much and needs many bugs to fixed and also add some more features.
Bugs like
Gmail is not connecting in email.
Always crashes.
Please add one more app drawer beside sidebar you can take idea from TSF launcher.
Its the best app on the planet of earth.

Also add a search option in sidebar and we can slide from alphabets to search app-this is must.
Add option to add music player on screen like news gmail and all and also if the lyrics with it.
Thank you.

Hmmm. I tested it for about two months on Android 6 and Android 7 and on my devices it works stably. The problems were on Android 8, but I fixed them in versions 1.4.3-1.4.4.
Can you take logcat immediately after the crash. If your phone is rooted it can be done with MatLog app (type "aio" in search bar).
Or at least describe in what situations app crashes.
Just came here randomly in a way... love the concept!

Also maybe add the ability to change exchanges
I love the design of this launcher but I need to be able to choose weather data providers like Weather Underground, DarkSky or AccuWeather (using API keys) and also use my own RSS news feeds. Is/will that be possible? With that included I would buy the premium version right away. Great works. With a launcher like this the the date feed options becomes very important.

Loving it so far! Already bought premium to support. It gives me that old Windows Phone feeling where I can see all my info from a glance. Keep up the great work.
Bought premium ! Well made and well thought !
Suggestions to improve it :
- choose another provider for the weather
- choose another crypto, not only bitcoin

No one I know uses Duo unfortunately. Everyone has iPhones which sucks for me. I was using Allo with my brother, but it made more sense to use WhatsApp instead.
But yeah I've replaced pretty much all stock apps with the Google equivalent where possible.

Yeah I really don't understand why Google don't have one app that will do both to be honest. One thing I really liked about iPhone was how good it was to have one messaging app for all purposes. Strange that Google just can't seem to get it right.
Not to get off topic here but how did you folks get the google dialer to play nice with your GS8. So, Your in the market for a new launcher app replacement? GCA Launcher? Lawnchair? Nova Launcher? Action Launcher? Pear Launcher? So many choices? Maybe your that guy/gal who switches launchers for certain profiles or environments. A question remains as you make your choice, is their an easy way to switch to my favorite launcher and is there a way to manage them more easily than what the android os provides? Well, I may have an answer!
(Edited 5/25/2023)
(Looking back at the op above from 2020) That was the question almost 3 years ago. How can we take a core feature of android and manage it? We answered it. In 2023, new questions came to the confront us. What launcher apps are safe to use, what launcher apps are legit and not cloned? Do they have ads? Why does it need access to my storage? Why is it connecting to the internet? We explored those questions and came up with a solution this year.
In June of 2020, XDA Developers had this to say about No'Me, https://www.xda-developers.com/nome-launcher-manager-switch-multiple-launcher-apps/
My Vision for No'Me changed as well as the angle for my vision of this app. First off, the name needed a rebrand. Second, No'Me needed a rewrite... And I had a few tricks up my sleeve.
I'd like to introduce No'Me's biggest update in 2 years. Welcome Launcher Ops! Launcher Ops is a next generation Launcher App Manager and Analyzer. There are 2 main features Launcher Ops focuses on.
Firstly is management, allowing users to quickly switch to and from different launcher apps quickly using the Companion app, Launcher Quick Tile, and it's brand new launcher switcher interface! Launcher Ops now allows users to switch the default launcher app programically without needing access to the android settings. This works by tapping into a relatively new api called Role Manager. The Role Manager API is not available on all android os and could possibly be blocked on some heavily skinned firmware and if it isn't available, will fallback to our original method of switching Launcher Apps. Launcher Ops will also create App Shortcuts inside of its Launcher icon of any Launchers it's discovered to quickly launch them or allow the user to pin a shortcut to their homescreen.
Secondly, This is the main new feature of Launcher Ops existence today, Deepsight. Deepsight is a brand new feature developed to allow users to Analyze and Inspect their current homescreen app or one they plan to use. By using Deepsight on a launcher, Launcher Ops will identify the following...
-Any agressive or high risk permissions accessed
-If it has Ads
-If it uses Google services or has micro transactions
-Is the launcher up to date and use the latest android SDK?
-Does it have the correct permissions set to operate correctly
-Identify how many Permissions, background services and activities are running or accessible
-Identify if its a clone or related to launcher3 in any way
-View it's activity list to see what and where and how
-View to see if it will support quick switch from Magisk to see if it has access to overlay services
-Grade it's overall analyzes by checking all of the above as well as any sketchy pings like messy labels, excessive activities and services running in the background and dangerous permissions
As a side bonus, Launcher Ops will also compare all the launcher apps installed and identify which ones are using high risk permissions.
Another bonus to Launcher Ops? It's powered by OPEN ONE UI. A smooth and easy to understand user interface that mimics Samsungs ONE UI for all with some custom views in the mix.
With as much work I put into Launcher Ops this year, I did lock some things up to a License requirement.
*Requires a License
-Permission Querry Tab
-Discovery Tab
-Permission Details Tab in Deepsight
-Overlay Support Tab in Deepsight
-Grading Details and specifics of flags causing grades to decline or increase
I hope you all enjoy Launcher Ops and find a use for it to discover clones or launchers that need to be questioned.

Your welcome
Publishing a hotfix for an embarrassing bug where No'Me tries stating certain builds of Lawnchair is not supported by Quickswitch so that will be up soon.
Just published an update on Google Play and already live on Labs (probably last one for awhile unless i start getting feedback)
-Fixed a bug that would crash the app if backing out of a donation or selecting a new one
-Updated the logic for the launcher manager menu actions (Sometimes, wrong actions were available for system launchers)
-Updated modules and libraries
Screenshot demoing usage of Quick Switch module active
It doesn't allow me to switch to the OnePlus Launcher. I also have Lawnchair (default), Nova and AutoTools installed which work.

Im finding that the dynamic shortcut doesn't show the system default launcher for some reason.
Nice find!
What I miss a lot when switching launchers is a way to import configuration from previous one. Is there a plan to implement this functionnality?
Thanks!

Most of the premium launchers should already offer an import feature (for compatible configurations) but some launchers may not be compatible with previous configurations and its a gray area. For example Nova launcher configurations are not compatible with my launcher (GCA) so users are offered an opportunity to start fresh.
Another blemish is apps cant access shared preferences from another app without root and i dont really wanna walk into that territory.
If a launcher stores something in its private directory or its res folder , i could essentially find it and list it but not all launchers work that way.
If anyone is encountering a force close as soon as the app opens, please let me know. Seems to be an issue for some users
End of the year patches have been published this week. These patches included the following changes
-Android 11 optimization (style changes and maintenance)
-Pre Android 10 maintenance (Android Shortcut Manager fixes, Style and general fixes)
-A fix to the Launcher list inflater (Progressbar would not show properly)
-A fix to launcher icon rendering (Context not properly initialized)
-A fix to the launcher list receiver (When putting the app in standby or exiting may cause crashes)
-Shortcut Manager not properly generating the shortcuts correctly
-A fix to the donations list
-Updated dependencies
-Updated Kotlin plugin
-General cleanup
Im not sure if the updated changes to Magisk affects how Quick Switch works and the compatibility with No'Me so if you run into not accurate info on the Quick Switch properties, let me know as I do not have an unlocked device anymore.
Thank-you for using No'Me!
wow, 7 Months... it's been awhile.
Some important news coming soon. No'Me is getting its android 12 ready update soon. In this update, The user interface will be polished up to fix some issues we discovered along the way and fix some things that just don't sit well. The app will be integrated with Monet library (Android 12 theme backport" so everyone can enjoy a really nice and up to date interface! The Manager tab will be cleaner and provide some extra info for users on their daily launcher. The settings tab will be alot more cleaner and allow detecting root and magisk alittle more in depth (this is used to determine if Quick Switch capabilites for the launcher is TRUE). They'll be a few new toggles to help manage switching easier. The manager tab will have a cleaner interface as well that's more up to snuff to standards of material design while playing a bigger part for newer features.
Along side the release, an open source variant will be released on my github to allow the community to possibly add onto the launcher manager to make it better or hold the key of adding the manager app to custom roms. I've held onto this app for to many years and it's time to move onto bigger things.

A pre beta of the Material You update has been published on Google Play! A few bugs to work out but should be resolved in the next few days
