FAQ:
* Why Schemes? - Schemes is short for Scheduled Messaging, I had originally chosen another name but realised it could be seen as copied
* Why no support for 2.3.3? - I decided that spending more time focusing on support libraries for these versions (eg. ActionbarSherlock) was not worth it in the end. Might change in the future
* I want to translate this to language XYZ, how? - To translate please refer to this paste: http://pastebin.com/2j3JpiuC . Thank you!
* I found a bug, what now? - Please give me an accurate description including phone model, actions previous to that and conditions that might cause it
* My messages aren't showing up in my default messaging app! - Enable notifications in app settings if you really want to know whether they're sent
* Why would I use this app? - If you want to/need to send delayed messages, then again if you're asking this you probably don't

Known bugs:
*Multiple recipients needs to be implemented properly, input of contacts could act slightly weird

Sorry, forgot to add this to the FAQ. For now I don't have any GB support planned, simply because the amount of support libraries necessary to make a decent-looking app. This might change in the future though.

Unfortunately WhatsApp doesn't allow developers to send WhatsApp messages via their apps, so nope, sorry.

Hopefully you will be make a GB compatible version. Looks don't matter for app like this.
It's a great idea though.

Great app mate! The UI and the simplicity is perfect. Two things that maybe useful are:
-Available to Log Out from the accounts
-When sending an email to someone, let the app read emails from the contacts
One bug I found is that the scheduled email isn't working for me. I tried to send it to myself and my brother but it wouldn't go through. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and on v4.1.2.
Thanks and great work with the app!

About the emails: Weird, I have tested this quite a bit and it always seemed to work for me. If you send it without specifying a time does it show any warnings?

I tried it again with specifying a time and it doesn't work and what do you mean without a time, it gives me the option "Now" if I don't set a time. Can the reason be that I am rooted?

[WIDGET] TxMissed 0.2 - minimalistic unread sms / missed calls / email notification

TxMissed - unread sms / missed calls / unread emails widget
Hello,
i want to contribute with my first widget. It's text based notification widget. Inform you about unread messages or missed calls. Support verbose number (like 1 = one, 5 = five etc.). Very customizable - color, sizes, text format, bold, stroke ... If chosen font does not fit to area, it will be automatically resized to smaller one, which fits. Personally, I use it at Widget Locker screen, so I can easily see count of unread messages. Tested on HTC Desire (Froyo) and emulator (Froyo + Gingerbread)

12 Mar - DEVELOPMENT STOPPED!! Reason: No free time. Any volunteers to continue in my work are welcomed. Sorry guys ...
Ideas, suggestion
I'm open to any suggestions and yours ideas, how to improve this widget. Thanks
Recomendation
If you already have version 0.1.2 and want to upgrade to 0.2, please uninstall old version first! New version has different settings system and its not compatible with old one, so it would probably cause application crash.
Look like really good ! But it's bugging in my froyo phone ... I can't put it in my home

Hi, could you provide me some closer information?
Will widget crash after adding to home or just nothing happened?
Is it posible, that you have unchecked both "Show zero counts" config options? In that case, widget is "invisible" until some events come (new sms/miss call)
Is service running properly? (Settings->Applications->Running services->TxMissed)
Personaly have HTC Desire on LeeDroid 2.3d with no problem.
Appriciate this bug report, Thank you very much for informations
It's OK now, I found the problem, I should do modification (font, color etc) one by one and not all in the same time !
I really like your app ! Thanks a lot
Works great on my myTouch 4G with Froyo. I am still playing with it though, so we'll see if it continues.
Added bug report function, if you experienced crashes, please report it from configuration menu, thanks
Please add gmail functionality. Thanks very much, nice widget.

Choise of application
Is it possible to select a custom application to open instead of the standard?
Normally I use ChompSMS instead of the build in SMS application, but TxMissed opens the build-in SMS app. I've looked under the program settings, and the SMS app is not associated with anything.

I will consider this for next versions. If I keep it simple, to understand, app just told android to show sms app. It don't choose anything, just get system default. Maybe it's possible to set Chomp as your default app, for now ...
It would be nice to have option to put one underneath the other, thanks.
Will you try to do it for email too ?
There are some bugs for me, when I want to change the font, but except that, It's really nice, very good job !

Update
Hey appest!
First of all: Thank you VERY much for all your efforts! I´m using Gtasks for months now and it became one of my main favorite apps on earth
GNotes: Would it be possible for you to provide us with the newest versions here on XDA? I´m one of these guys that are suffering from the density <--> compatibility issue on the market (many apps cannot be installed on my sgsII due to density reasons)! The amazon market is providing me with a few of these apps, but e.g. your GNotes app seems to be outdated (?!).
Thank you very much in advance!
---------- Post added at 10:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:08 AM ----------
And one more question: When I´m looking into the notes folder in my Gmail acc, every note has been sent to a Bcc recipient...may I know why is that? Who´s the recipient?

Yes, we will consider the other mail accounts.
It depends the server side implement of the mail account.
We had tested the yahoo mail, some problems stop us to add it.
Hallo!
I've tried to use gnotes with my new HTC One (m7), but the app is not able to connect with gmail. I get always "connect failed, please try again" or "Add notes to remote error". Could someone help?
Thx in advance
Good Evernote alternative
Why I prefer GNotes over Evernote is that I have to pay Evernote $45 each year just to have offline notes.
First of all, I am not going to upload my notes, pictures etc.. to some server somewhere and think it is safe from prying eyes, or backed-up.
Many people have more than 1 cloud acct.
What I do, is this: All my files are encrypted with BoxCryptor or Cryptonite or EncDroid (they are compatible) before I save them to cloud. I have my personal hosting acct with hostgator where I also sync (WebDAV + FolderSync) all my encrypted files.
I use Office docx on my phone to create notes as doc files, encrypt them and sync them to clouds. What I like about GNotes is simple interface, image attachment...
If I only can
- automatically "sync" the Gnotes to local folder (internal or external Sd) where i have encfs mounted, then my FolderSync would pick them up and sync them to the location of my choice...
I would buy GNotes.
I know you have your GNotes.me cloud but that does not set you apart from Evernote or OneNote or any other "notes in the cloud" app.
Give users freedom, let them be true owners of their data and they will thank you.
When I come to the point "I have had enough" I am going to make a notes app that is doing just what I said above. My problem is lack of spare time, so for any eager developer out there, here is your project:
- make a "wrapper" app that is going to be notes manager but your notes are actually .doc files, so that you can reuse the code for rtf editing that must be somewhere out there; your .doc file metadata can be place where you store your apps Note Title, tags etc...
- let users access those rtf files any way they want so that they can encrypt them with the tool of their choice, sync them to their favorite location
- make a small windows wrapper app that would also do the same so that people can sync to their laptops
- set your app price reasonably, get paid for what you have done, fix bugs, improve the app... just make sure users have freedom to move their data to any format they want, doc, html, pdf, xml...
[REQUEST] Sync with othor account or share to other accounts
Great app ! .. Sync with email .. Superb thought..!!
Using Gtasks from couple of months and became a fan of it ! Had no issues with it. Superb app that to . Just noticed today this app and installed it. And it is also great. good work. Just keep on going and going. Making our life simple!
One question : How you mange the lables or folders ? Because nothing seen on the mail. So how do you identify the mails to show the notes?
Request : My request is that I can share a note with other Gnote user. I can share via bluetooth or in any other form. Or that shared note iin sync would be great. Because Shared Tasks are the great feature for us all !
Hope to receive your reply soon.

- fixed some bugs
- creating a rule with more than 500 contacts should be possible now
Google should release the update within two hours.
Alternatively you can download the app from my server.
Only works with Viber and WhatsApp? Not the built-in Messaging app (SMS)?
Translated to Nepali
Hey I have translated to Nepali Language. I don't want much just wanted to help you. But can you also give credit to me and my website Lifestohack dot com. Thanks.
Good but it would be great if this work with Stock/Build in SMS.
would love to have have built in messenger supported. But, this is a great work!
Nice, would love to have the ability to send messages via Tasker (general purpose Tasker plugin/interface to Whatsapp) instead of a scheduler-only app. Premium-only of course

Hi! I created a rule to test your app, chose the contact, typed the message, then set the time of start, but when the time came, nothing happened. The contact didn't receive the message. Am I doing something wrong?) I use Cyanongenmod Android 4.1.
@KHalnay4k
The app isn't tested to run on emulators.
@SnowboundTeam
Answer for WhatsApp: The app should work fine as long as it's able to show you the adresslist.
Answer for Viber: There are sometimes problems, because Viber builds a specific value for each message. So did you tried it more than one time?
As I know it's just a small amount of messages that isn't sent.
@KHalnay4k + @SnowboundTeam
It's a little difficult to figure out what the problem is.
I know that the app runs on vanilla android/cyanogenmod flawless. (Tested on my devices (Nexus 7 2012, Galaxy S II))
So the app should work as long as your device supports the used root commands and no other app gets in the app's way.

Latest version includes 14 day Premium Features Trial
* Floating control panel while reading is active, with Play / Pause / Next / Previous
* Scheduler to set hours during the day when the reader should be silent
* Periodic mail checking from every 3 minutes to 3 hours
* Replacement words change the way your emails are read
* Unlimited number of Gmail accounts
The app gets stuck on the "Initializing" screen on first run. This is with a Nexus 5 and a Galaxy S5 with two different Gmail accounts. Both devices have the same issues, even though TTS is enabled on both (US English).
But when I back out of the app and head back in, it goes into the Accounts Setup screen finally.
Thank you for your help and testing! We'll do our best to solve this in the next updates.

cool ths !
cool idea,I will test it
Hi,
Cool app!!.
Suggestion: How about a Tasker plugin to activate or deactivate reader via Tasker profiles or situations?.
Keep walking!, Cheers!
Thanks for the idea. But AFAIK the Tasker developer needs to add support for the app. Anyway, I like the idea and will re-check.
EDIT
So I checked - it is possible, there is an open API, meaning this can be done. So, this is a hot candidate for a new feature for the nearest future.

Great idea! What languages are supported?
Hi, the app's language is yet only English. The reading voice language depends on the Settings of your TTS (those are also accessible from the main menu of the app - TTS Settings).

[APP][4.4+] Audify App - The Honourable Speaker of Notifications

Hello Folks,
Notifications are a major source of frustration for many android users. As we install more apps, we get insanely more number of notifications as well.
After lot of frustrating experiences with annoying notifications at wrong times ( Listening music, Driving or Riding ), I started developing Audify.
Intent of Audify is to smartly skip annoying, less important notifications and keep the user informed about incoming notifications with no effort.
After three months of development, Here is Audify for everyone,

I've got pretty simple needs for this - just hearing call and text message notifications. What I'd really like (and can the app do this?):
* Will read out name of incoming caller while the ringtone is going "John Doe is calling...."
* Will read out name of incoming text sender, but not the contents of the text "You've got a new message from John Doe"
The other notifications are a bonus (can it say from something like K-9 or Kaiten mail "You've got mail" or "You've got 10 new emails" for instance but not the subject of each note?)
Thanks, looks good just a few questions

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the comment.
Audify does read incoming caller id and messages as they are posted as a notification as well. You can easily mute the apps that you are not interested and enable only the apps that you want to hear from.
For now, There is no option to ask Audfify to just read the title. But there is something that I am working on which will enable the users to customise notifications for each app.
Thanks ?
