[Q] Rom Developers I introduce you to OPPO Find 5 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

If any rom developers can get the rom for the OPPO Find 5 onto the S3 it would be ridiculous!
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZoh_QKnGbc
Phone Specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_find_5-5161.php
Is it possible?

ROTFL.

Omg, please tell me you're not serious... *face palm

Apparently you didn't get the no LTE memo in the review. I will also add that with the phone's specs you're better off making the ROM for the quad-core version of the S4. Even if it is possible to port this to the S 4 or S3 how can the developers make it work on a 4G LTE network when the phone its based on don't run on that network.

It would be easier porting the quad core Galaxy S3 ROM over to this phone than porting the Oppo's ROM onto this phone. And porting the quad core S3 is hard as f***. That's why a lot of devs aren't doing that at all.

Hoping for good development after this forum
Because themes and ROMs magically appear out of thin air.
Do you even know if the device has been rooted? :/
yes i rooted my phone and i didnt mean that
what you think bro
i m using 2.3.4 and rooted
froyo also can b rooted with super one click
yes its an emerging device so the development should be encouraged
@ XDA moderators i am expacting a reply plz
Do you have any idea how many devices that XDA already provides a home for? Unless there's a SERIOUS audience for a device, it won't be added. They've said this so many times before. You probably won't get a reply from the Mods.
k thanx
The device is fairly old, and specs are very low. Can't really see much development interest in a device like it...
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_fit_s5670-3726.php
240 x 320 pixels, 3.3 inches
600 MHz processor

kk...PLzz give me the OFFicial froyo 2.2 for galxy fit DDKA6

galaxy5
galaxy mini
galaxy 3
galaxy spica
lg optimus 1
@ mod check properly first then plz provide us a forum too
I don't think you guys get it, you're not getting a forum if they don't think there's enough demand for it.
5 of you asking over and over again won't change that.
@liquidsolstice
Bro its k if we r not gettin a new forum but can u just help us out n figure out a good way to request the developers for us.... I really need to grow now.....please suggest us something....

bro if i have gt 5670 and i am demanding forum there is nothing bad in it
everyone want development for his phone
and this websight for us too maybe we will get it later
I checked with the magic 8 ball and it said "Chances not so good". Im pretty sure XDA's magic 8 ball must have said the same thing, hence the lack of a forum. Cheers
Why discrimination ؟؟
Main forum for galaxy fit Required
yah the forum should be on xda
xda should should support this new phone i may be too demanding.
thanx for ur support guys
I'm telling you, you need a much larger demand than just the few of you.
Have you reached out to anyone with the phone who's messed with it? Perhaps a system dump? Maybe seeing if the hardware is similar enough to something to port?
You can't just jump in, make requests, and assume XDA will magically make it happen, guys.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Note User

Hi..
I am currently using Samsung galaxy note, I am very desperate to buy HTC One X, can u guys kindly suggest me whether it is wiser to switch to One X from SGN???
Mithun.
You should wait for GS3 IMHO

One X is amazing!!

Moving to Q&A
I think it all depends on what type of things you do with your daily phone.
The Galaxy Note is definitely good if you do a lot of documentation reading since the screen is large but small enough to fit in your pocket.
But the One X sports the quadcore processor that will definitely keep up with multitasking/games. The battery may be an issues though. For the processor and screen it looks to be a good battery life, but 12 hours of "normal use" as Engadget says isn't really helpful since no one is going to pay to get a quad core and use it normally.

I apologise but I checked that one.
People there are talking about their next phone after Royale. Most of them want a Nexus/S3/OneX which ain't the budget phones.
I am looking for one which is on par with royale in specs and also comes under same price line.
P.S: If the mods still feel this thread is not required, I request them to close this here.
Galaxy S Advance is getting JB, but Galaxy Nexus will come in that budget. So should be Nexus. In mumbai it's 20k.

Dear All,
Please dont make this thread long. As suggested by MJ, please shift your all conversation there.:victory:
@OP: buddy if you will ask about 20K around mobile, then we will sure let you know about your budget Mobile.
Just like here we will serve you batter in That thread which is already provided by MJ.vikram
This thread has been closed at the request of members
@All members - All of these are judgement calls on whether one thread is similar enough to another to warrant closing. This one is especially close because the OP has a point. The other thread is discussing an "upgrade" path while the OP is looking to "sidegrade" to a different phone. However, I'm going to close this one in favor of the other at this time.
@OP - Please join the discussion in the other thread and list your new phone criteria there. If you don't get a satisfactory answer in a reasonable amount of time, contact me and I'll open this one back up for you. You can bump the thread and restart the discussion here.
I hope this is satisfactory to all.

[Q] REPOST from Q&A nexus s 4g as tablet?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022228
I'm still looking for more input so I'm posting here.
I'm about to get a new S3 and I have a perfectly good nexus S 4g.
Is it possible to install a rom that will make the phone function like the nexus 7? so my daughter can use it etc?
I guess the real question is can i put the tablet version of jellybean on the nexus S 4g. I don't want any phone features. Does that make sense?
thanks in advance!
Please don't double post, especially in development, it is for development only! Moved to Q&A.

Request to Moderators and Admins

I see we have all Galaxy TAB3 mix together. As a Starting area I guess was OK.
But please understand that Galaxy TAB 3 10.1 are an entire Beast base in x86 architecture.. A lot of what is been commented for other models may not apply!!
I am trying to convince you that we 10.1 users need a separate area where we can be allowed to expose our needs. For this obvious reason Most of us find our-self posting inside:
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Android Development
I know in many times in clear violations of the rule in:
[WARNING: READ ME 1st] If YOU DID NOT CREATE "it" THEN IT DOESN'T BELONG IN HERE
This 10.1 x86 Devices are new and to little is in fact available. So almost all threads in the development area may violate:
"If your thread can be phrased as a question, it DEFINITELY doesn't belong in Development "
Yes this are in fact questions of people looking for answers really hard to find since it is a new device!
I am a guy who believe in rules and try to obey them. That I know no one yet has received a complaint. But please understand us when we try to maintain our-self in one Clearly Galaxy Tab3 10.1 area. Plus most of us try to ask the few "NEW" developers that may be the only ones having not the right, but maybe close or best answer.
I do not want to change the format of this forum, nor have the right answer to this dilemma. But we need a waiver to the "phrased as a question..., doesn't belong in Development ". Or a Separate Q/A area dedicated for TAB 10.1
In the other hand at this point in our discovery there may be not "The Right Answer" available. So we may offer the best approach. So it will be also weird to have a Q/A where the answers are not the ANSWER but suggestions!
So I hope to see an official view. In any point, please feel free to delete this post if you find it inappropriate. Thanks for your hard work.
I hope you understand my point,
.
All those three tabs are different to each other. The 8 inch variant has another processor as the 7 inch. The 7 inch has a version with another processor too.

You are totaly right. I do not want to argue with you. But to convince you guys about our limited situation.
But even thought they have different processors they are in fact ARM devices.
The 10.1 is in fact an x86 processor! This make very difficult for Developers to come up with solutions, for example our TWRP and CWM are very unofficial, rudimentary, untrusted failing in many cases, requiring the User to understand its limitations and use them with special steps to overcome the limitations. All Rom alternatives are just Repack Stock Roms with deleted and added components. CM10 or even AOSP is just a dream at this point. Lets hope it change soon.
Hello.
For your questions post in the "Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" section, it is there for all the Galaxy Tab 3 models. You can specify in the title or in the OP what model your thread is about.
I second this as having the x86 arch. is going to hopefully enable us to run other os's on our 10.1's and having separate sub-forums similar to how the HD2 has it will make for more organized development.
agree. prob not a good idea to lump all the tab 3 together.
The Tab 3 7.0 inch is a real slug - I returned it and got a note 8. But i'll bet the Tab 3 8.0 is probably much smoother as is the 10.1 I would imagine.
