Im not looking to clear history im just wondering where internet history is located. Im looking for a internet link I looked at a few days ago.

If you were logged into your google account for say google bookmarks.. Take your Brower to google.com.. At the top left click your icon. Click next to your name in the pop up next to profile that says Privacy .. It will show all sites and internet activity ..
You will be surprised at what they collect from you unless you been there and edited the settings.
Good Luck
OOPS TOP RIGHT ... GRRRR

Very simple:
Click on bookmarks
On the bookmarkspage you have on top of page a selection called History
Click on History and it will show you all visited links
Don't look for the file folder too complicated, when you have everything in front of you with one click

bring up your browser then at the top right click on the little icon with the star in it. Its jist to the right of the magnifying glass.

An even better and easier way I'd to long press the "back button" in the app, the one at the status bar that looks like a u-turn that is. That opens, for some reason the history right away!

::sigh:: actually my GF's junk.
This is the way Android camera was designed, to give you a quick jump between camera and gallery. If you don't like it - there are plenty of replacement camera apps on the market, check them out.
You could move the pics and vids to another folder, and disable the folder in the gallery app (push menu button in gallery).
Or read this for more tips: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/hide-private-picture-folders-gallery-android/
your just using the wrong app -
Search for "audio manager" - it is a blue music sign with a orange one on the back,
go into this and you realise it is called hide it pro - download it,
simple to use and works perfectly

Or put a file called .nomedia in the folder, it won't be scanned for media files by any apps.

He is quite correct, the stock Android camera-app does feature the small thumbnail picture for quick gallery access. I see it on my Nexus One right now.

ICS Problem? How to get apps to open instead of links opening in Chrome Beta?

How do I get dedicated apps (YouTube, Play Store) to open links and not the browser/chrome?
The only way I have found it to work is to not have a browser installed. On my tablet links open up the apps but with my Rezound the browser takes over and by default opens all links.
The settings don't mean anything and no prompt even comes up when clicking a link asking what app I want to use to open said link, it just goes to the default browser automatically.
It like this on three ICS roms on my Rezound I've used.
There is a App Associations setting in the settings menu that seems to be messing up the way that it works.
From my experience...go into the settings menu of the the handset and select apps. Next scroll to your current browser under the applications list and click on it.
Then scroll down all the way and select 'clear defaults'. Confirm. That should do the trick and whenever u click on any link in any app it will prompt you to select an option such as YouTube or browser instead of just opening up automatically in a browser.

That's the deal, clearing defaults doesn't do anything . There is no more prompt, just launches the browser.

Can you make it more clearly?
bump
Did anyone resolve this issue? I also have link association issues unique to ICS as well. For instance, I used to (w/gingerbread) be able to click a video link in google+ then it would ask what I wanted to view the video with (browser or YouTube), now all web links open in the browser only, no questions asked... What is with that? Same with links in gtalk.
Nope it a HTC issue

Issue has been corrected with latest Meanrom ICS ROM... guess it was just annother ICS Virgin Mobile Leak bug...

How to get voice search icon back

Apparently HTC in their infinite wisdom decided to remove the voice search icon.
Install shortcut, then run it and it will allow you to start the voice search app using whatever method you wish. Then pull the notification bar down and create your shortcut. Dragged mine down to the dock and all is right with the world again.
Anyone notice that the voice search sucks in comparison with CB? It worked much better on my old ATRIX 2.
Sent from DEFCON Brown.
What do you mean install shortcut? It's not on my launcher drawer, and when I go to Google Play and search for it the "Open" and "Uninstall" buttons are missing..
any ideas?
use a root explorer app and delete it from /system/app . install new version from play store
Awesome tip, I added it to my notification toggles, perfection

Just dug around a little, found it.
Add to homescreen --> Shortcuts --> Activities --> Voice Search --> Recognition Activity
Surely you found it by now, so this is for posterity, for other people who stumble upon this page like I did.
Great tip thank you..

I went to Shortcuts, but the first one that pops up is Bookmarks. Is there no other simple way? I can't download and install it because it's already installed...
Alternate Solution
For those who can't make the above solution work, try this: (OK, I'm not permitted to include a link because I'm a "Noob") Go to AndroidCentral and search for "Missing the Voice Search button? Here's the fix!!". It will also refer you to an app on Google Play called "QuickShortcutMaker".

a quick question

ok, when i click on internet on my one s it always opens the last page i visited, sometimes this is great but most of the time i want to search for something, now ive set www.google.co.uk as my homepage hoping that when i click on internet it will open google straight away but its still opening from last webpage i was on.
is there a way to have my home page open soon as i open the internet please ?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately not that I know of. Unless you close the tabs that you were using before you exit the browser. Or go to the home page manually, and then swipe Internet off Recent Apps.

Ahhh right, that's a bit disappointing........thanks for reply
Why not use the google search app or widget to search... it will open the browser
Close all tabs, open home page. Close browser and it should pop up next time you open browser. That's what I had to do

[Q] Hotspot app missing

Is it just me or is the hotspot app icon missing from the apps tray? I did a factory reset and it still not there. I can start it from the settings menu but i would like a shortcut on the start screen at least. Any ideas?

1. Open up SQLite Editor - Select the Apps tab on top and scroll down until you see Settings Storage and click it.
2. Click on settings.db
3. Click on system
4. Click on the search icon on top right
5. Type in the word notification in the Filter Value field and click ok
6. Once the results load up, tap on notification_panel_active_app_list (should be 3rd from the bottom result) and click on the pencil icon on top to edit
7. In the Value field, you'll see all your toggles listed. All you have to do is add the word WiFiHotspot right after “Wifi”<-- just like that with a semi colon right after. Make sure there's no space after the semi colon. Once you add WiFiHotspot, click the save button.
8. Close SQLite editor and reboot your phone and verify
