Wirefly will not be doing preorders for the s4 - Galaxy S 4 General

I've been waiting for wirefly to do preorders but their facebook team said there will be no preorders.

Agh that hurts. From my experience, Wirefly has the best deals more often than not... But I'd still rather wait a few more days and save money

I think I may have to agree with you on that.. assuming they charge $199.99 instead of $249.99. I'll wait to see what Wirefly brings!

I was just told they were expecting it very, very soon. In a matter of days.
I don't believe we will see it until the week of the 24th as well. No stores have gotten any preliminary info and that is a pretty telling sign right there.
I wonder if the Fuze will be a part of any black friday deals. I would doubt it if just released that week. I would like to see it more in the $250 range because I don't think it is worth $350 and waiting 10 weeks for the 50 rebate, but I will probably ending up spending it anyway and dumping the Tilt on Ebay.
well given how they are releasing phones the epix came out like two weeks or a week ago bold came out today so i give the fuze another week or two it's definately coming out in november though

I just called a local store in Indy and was told "We don't know when it'll be in. It's been delayed I think. I'm the manager and I would know!"
If he's the manager and "would know," he should be able to tell me and not just "think."
A little different answer
Not really important but... I called a major store in Denver. Lady has known of it some time as her job is dealing with new releases. She said that they were supposed to have displays up already but the materials are not in so they are behind schedule. She expects it any day. Also a sales person is getting trained on it tomorrow and hopes to know more then. Only significant thing is that they knew of it and were supposed to have displays up by now.

Employees in Huntington Beach, CA store said next week.
I still say it has to be sooner than 11/25 because that is when the ATT rebate ends. And why would they include the Fuze in it if the phone isn't even going to be released by then. So I say it can't be Black Friday (11/28).
I was told next week... though previously told today... as far as black Friday and not wanting to discount it, well... they're in control... they can release it tomorrow and that doesn't mean they have to discount it. So, I don't see any reason they'd have to wait until then.

UK Pre-orders. Shipped? Received?

Has anyone in the UK received their pre-order today?
Waiting on mine, but I'm worried that the status on the Microsoft webstore hasn't budged and it still says "Pre-Order 02/11/2012" despite me getting an email saying that I should still receive my tablet on the 26th. I also called the number for the Microsoft store today and although they couldn't not give me a tracking number, they said I would receive it today.
I'd hate to wait in all day for something that isn't go to arrive!

I called them today in the UK and they told me after the 2nd, you won't get it today. enjoy your week end, the 2nd will arrive soon !

When did you order? Mine was ordered on the 17th with a delivery date of the 26th.
There won't be anyone at home at all on the 2nd, so I shall be peeved if the delivery date has shifted given that they emailed me to say it would be delayed until the 2nd, and then emailed again to say that the earlier email was a mistake and my original delivery date still stood.
I'm not at all hopeful it will arrive today, but the woman I spoke to this morning (after being on hold for nearly 30 minutes!) was adamant that I would. The very fact that I've not seen a single post from someone in the UK who has received their Surface makes me very sceptical though.

I have booked later than u but the email saying it will be pushback on the 2nd that was sent by mistake make me feel it wasn't a mistake.
I have a feeling the customer service has no control of when it is shipped or what is happening.
2 days ago, I was trying to cancel my surface (change of heart) I rang and they told me that it was in the warehouse in process of shipping so it couldn't get cancelled.
2 days later they told me it will be ship next week. (didn't ask for cancellation this time)
I hope it can arrive before the 2nd for you, I am ok to wait until next week.
It will also give me the time to see the nexus 10 and maybe change my mind again

If it's any consolation, things aren't better in Germany. Ordered mine on the 17th and my order sill states that it will be delivered until October 26th, but as of now, no Surface has arrived. I also have not seen any reports that anyone in Germany has received it...

It's looking increasingly like MS missed the boat on the Surface launch in Europe (at the very least).
There's still time of course, the day isn't over yet, but given how long they've had to get this right it would be a very poor showing if they fail to get it out of the door.

guys/girls uk/germany the surface will not arrive today ! like suddenly 10000 surface being delivered at 4pm lol.
we'll play with our new toy next week, less than 7 sleeps to go...
Now it gets wild (at least in Germany): The German tech site Winfuture reports that some orders have been canceled by the Microsoft store, because of technical failures... The support says that those with canceled orders should place new orders, but then they will face the current 3 week delay. There is also a report of a customer whose order has been canceled.
Either Microsoft was overwhelmed by orders or they have a serious problem with the store and/or the delivery process...

Not at all - I've no problem accepting reality, but I've also every right to be pissed off when I've arranged to be at home to receive something that was supposed to be delivered today, having also been told this morning by customer services that I should expect delivery today.
Being pissed off won't change anything of course, but given how MS first sent out an email saying orders would be delayed, and then retracted that email, it shows a deep lack of respect for their customers to delay again without sending out some sort of communication.

I'm absolutely appalled and devastated about the complete lack of support for UK surface customers.
I pre-ordered mine as soon as I possibly could, I phone up yesterday because I received an email saying that my pre-order had been cancelled. I've been basically told that it was a computer system error (this isn't encouraging) and that it has happened with a few people. I was basically given the options of re-ordering, which can now take a month for delivery, or "drop into my local Microsoft store". The customer service representative didn't even take time to consider that Microsoft is so narrow minded that they only have Microsoft stores in America, but hey, what's an 8 hour plane trip just to get my surface tablet on time?
To add insult to injury, I asked them to reorder, and no matter which card I try to use, it just throws me and the customer support team error after error, it's almost as if my account has been blocked! They only offered to email the error to their teach support team (I haven't heard anything back yet).
Finally I had a great surprise to find that, despite the fact that my order is cancelled, Microsoft haven't released their greed grasp on the money in my account, so I have £500 effectively missing from my account because of Microsofts 'computer system error'.
I've gotten round the re-ordering problem by using a different Live ID, but I almost feel cheated by Microsoft, if I hadn't been waiting so long for this I would have just gone for an iPad (which I can guarantee would have arrived on time) or one of the alternative windows 8 RT tablets.
If my money hasn't been released on Monday I think i'll have to just contact my solicitor/trading standards, as there is no reason why Microsoft should have my money since it was cancelled before it was charged.
It's times like this why I can understand why we have so many apple fanboys, yes they are over-priced, yes they are borderline evil, but they never basically say 'screw you because your not in america'.
After my laptop finally sold on eBay yesterday I went ahead and bought a Surface.
So my order date is 27/10, Had to buy the more expensive 64gb version as the store claimed there was a 3 week wait for both 32gb versions.
My status is Order in Process, there's no estimated delivery date or anything like that, I'm guessing because it was technically not a preorder.
Hoping it gets shipped out tomorrow, for Tuesday, but I'm guessing that's a bit optimistic.

Hopefully we'll get E-mails tomorrow saying it's been dispatched, for delivery on Tuesday.
I've not ordered one yet but was planning to go have a look at the Experience Centre (read RoadShow) that was planned for Clapham London this coming weekend. Looking at Microsofts website this morning I see they've taken all the UK experience centres off the list so I reckon that no stock is in the country yet:

Despite me calling this morning querying why my 'Order in Progress' had now vanished(!) from the MS Store website, and being told that it was there and will be dispatched 'soon' - my Surface arrived minutes later! It must have been dispatched on Friday. The accessories I ordered haven't come, so I guess they'll follow - I can wait though. I've only had a few hours with it, as I'm also trying to work, but it seems great. Looking forward to someone on here hacking the secure boot/digital certificate thing so we can run ARM compiled desktop apps

My order still stays in process. I called this morning and asked have any Surfaces been shipped to UK customers. He told me yes. I ordered virtually on launch day. Still no joy

Same here with my S4 order. On Wallet site under order status it says "Your purchase is processing." I have not checked if my credit card has been charged yet, but it probably hasn't.
I hope this isn't another Nexus 4 launch day fiasco. If anyone would have their sales channels and inventory sorted out, it's Samsung.

Doesn't seem like a fiasco. It's just that June 26th was the pre-order date and July 9th seems to be the availability date. There were a few people that claimed to get them, but outside of some media outlets, every user I've seen that claimed to have one ultimately ended up just flashing the GPE ROM on their existing phone. They were lying.
While mine hasn't shipped yet, it seems like they are filtering out now. The real GPEs are hitting users who are posting unboxing videos left and right. This should reduce the number of "reviews" being posted by users claiming to have them, but actually just running a ROM.
Original orders were supposed to ship by this upcoming Tuesday, so it's mostly irrelevant now. Ours should ship tomorrow or Tuesday.
Got my shipping notice last night. Delivery ETA is Friday the 12th.

What is the real release date for the S2 Classic?

Does anyone know the real official release date of the S2 Classic? I know a few people got them from Best Buy and Macy's but neither of them have any in stock now it seems. Samsung has royally screwed up the release of this watch. When I tried Best Buy one time it said October 21st, but now it just says "Coming Soon". Any ideas or clues?
Macy's is showing in stock for me, and Best Buy was in stock this past week but not anymore.
Yeah release date has passed just low on stock is what i would say. Some of my bestbuys have them but not all.

Macy's says in stock, but when you click checkout it says product is unavailable. I've tried to buy it three times over the phone, but it won't go through. Best Buy Canada website says the classic and white version will be available on October 30th, so I maybe that is when.
I ordered mine from Samsung on the 2nd, and it hasn't shipped yet. I called customer service last week and they said it would ship the 21st.
Samsung website has recently changed from 3 to 4 weeks to 1 to 3 business days for the classic as well, which matches the 21st.

Thanks for the info. Macy's told me they ship on the 21st and I saw that date at Best Buy one time as well. I guess they are finally getting full inventory.
Hopefully, I have had such a hard time buying this watch i'm not sure it's worth it anymore haha. I mean I love everything about the GS2, but this out of stock BS is insane.

I went to the Macy's at South Coast Plaza here in the OC and they had the black S2 and Classic in stock and on display.
I didn't like how rough the leather band was. It was hard to strap the watch on and take it off, especially compared to the S2. Also, the screen is noticeably smaller than the S2. Glad I got to see it in person.
I'm definitely getting the silver S2 3G version in November.

Last week bestbuy had two of them and I know of 2 people at work that have the classic. So I would say that your looking in the wrong place or waiting for something special if you don't have one. Easiest place right now is to just buy from Samsung Direct rather then driving around to stores checking stock.
You probley feel like an iPhone user right now how it takes 1 month after release to get the product in stock.

Not sure what you don't understand about the words "in stock", but thanks for playing. I've been on top of all the local stores here in/around philly and it's been hopeless. So you and your friends got one of the initial 5 pieces that were sent to limited stores. Pat yourself on the back.
I preordered S2 Classic on Amazon, oct 3rd, surprisingly delivered on oct 13th.
Had mine ordered on Amazon with no delivery date in sight. Cancelled and placed an order with Samsung online based on availability.
Yesterday I called them and verified that they received a large amount of stock. They told me that mine will ship within a day or so, and yet, I get an email notification today saying that mine is on back order! Samsung has done a terrible job of misjudging the demand forecast and is being awfully slow in supplying to meet the demands of its enthusiastic fans. There is no excuse for not supplying the product that's in demand. It's just poor planning and execution to say the least. I'm debating whether I still want this or not.

At least they responded quickly to my complaint. I shall wait a few more days...
Now Samsung has officially pissed off a long-term fan of Samsung products- ME!
First I place an order on their on-line store based on "Ships in 1-3 business days" promise only to find out that my order gets placed on the back order status a day later.
Then, I get a promise of delivery from the batch of shipment from fulfillment center on 10/23.
Then, my order status becomes unavailable.
What the heck?
All this after trying to order from Bestbuy, Amazon and Macy and waiting for more than a week already.
This is not a proper way to handle your loyal customer!
It's bad enough to keep waiting for the availability of the product 20 days after releasing the product.
I don't need this false marketing and non-responsive customer service and support on top of that.

Samsung refusing gearvr because I didn't receive before 4/21

I reserved 4-11 picked up 4-21 but I am ineligible because I did not pick up before 4-21? This is crazy

What exactly did they say? Some people that got their phones at Best Buy were rejected because they submitted the receipt they were given when they picked up their phones (04/21) but they have resubmitted their pre-order receipt along with the pick up receipt (in the same pdf, and circling the date and IMEI). They're still waiting on Samsung's approval though, but personally I don't see why they would not approve.

Sounds like you dont know what you are talking about. You dont even need to talk to Samsung to claim your promotion. Go to the site and apply. Done.
The only issue I can see is if you reserved from a third party and the receipt shows the 21st, then you are out of luck. If you preordered from Samsung, you should be good.
I gave the receipt from my best buy order pickup which didn't have any date on it so they emailed me saying order date wasn't clear. Went to Best buy site, went to my order details, printed, saved as PDF and uploaded that. It has order date and pickup date as well as lasts 4 digits of credit card and price total paid as the email also asked for proof of purchase. They replied back saying it will take 2 weeks for review.

I applied on line preordered on April 11th and picket up the phone on April 21st.
Got a note from Samsung because I did pick up the phone by April 20th I was ineligible for the GearVR.
Rapazzo same issue at that link must have purchased by april 20 which is impossible lol Sammy is playing games called promotions dept waited 3 hours got a guy who did me a big favor and approved it. Looks like they are trying to get out of the deal by making it very difficult to get.

As long as you preordered it before the 20th then you are eligible for the free VR. It doesn't matter that you picked the phone up after the 21st. As long as you submit the receipt from the pre-order then you'll be approved. I had the same problem. I sent the receipt from Best Buy on the 21st and got an email saying that it was not within the purchase period 3/30/2017 to 4/20/2017 and that I had one more opportunity to provide a receipt that showed I purchased between 3/30/2017 to 4/20/2017. So I went onto my Best Buy account under orders and found my preorder purchase I made on 04/01/2017. I sent that and a day later I got approved.
The reason that you get declined right away is because the promo is all automated, the software looks at the receipt looks for a date and if it doesn't see 3/30/2017 to 4/20/2017 it declines it. An actual person does not look at it.
I've participated in every promo that Samsung has had thus far on preordering a phone and getting a Vr, an SD card and a Gear watch. The only problem with getting the promo this time is because every last promo the purchase period was always from when preorder started to 2 weeks after the phone officially came out. I think they did it this way because they wanted more people to buy the phones. But this time around because they are getting record breaking sales they don't have the supply to demand on the gifts. But as long as you preordered you are illegible
I hear ya and I submitted proof of the pre-order on 4.11 and the purchase on 4.21 and they turned me down since I didn't receive by 4.20 !! Called on the phone for 3 hours and they said they approved it. Only time will tell.
I received the same email. First was rejected then got accepted after a review.
Said I was ineligible due to my pickup date.. After chatting with someone on their FB page, they reviewed it once again and allowed me to accept my request.
