Two things:
Firstly, when I type in the browser the screen moves up on every key press...weird.
Secondly, the top of the screen (in expanded desktop mode, with full screen lab running) gets corrupted - legacy downloading blue lines and tabs - which should disappear. Weird.
Any ideas from the brains trust out there? It's been happening sporadically for a couple of weeks - I'm on CM10.1 Nightlies - been the same with various versions of CM10.1.

Bump - any ideas? Has this really never been seen before (did a clean install yesrerday and it still happpens).
Over 100 views and no ideas? Someone must know something. Surely it's not a unique set of problems .
It's definitey an issue with the 'labs' setting - turn that off and it goes away. Any reason why this should happen? can anyone replicate this?

Hi dgjl-
I'm replying to this post with your same settings and having none of the same problems. No scrolling when I typing, no ghosted tabs or lines above? I do have some wierdness with the cursor positioning though and positioning the cursor with the arrow keys does not work in desktop mode but does in mobile mode (user agent). Also the page seems to have a white hue like its been whitewashed.
Labs, Developer Settings, and Experimental all mean about the same thing. It means its a new feature that hasn't been fully tested so use it at your own risk. I tend to avoid these settings unless you want to be a beta test site for Asus. You may then have to disable other settings that previously worked fine to run your new setting as they may conflict. You may have to "experiment" to find the combination of settings that work together.
If you type "about:debug" into the address line, then go back into settings there is a new menu item "debug" and in there are a slew of new settings to check out. Enabling "enable cpu upload path" speeds things up, and there is also controls for OpenGL and WebGL that you might experiment with. Also try disabling "fast scroller" under the advanced settings as it may conflict with the labs flyouts. I am also running my Multi browser2RAM startup script which is the same as browser2RAM.

Thanks. I've been through the various debug settings already - what's strange is that when debug is operating (i.e., in the same browsing session as 'about:debug' is launched) the problems don't seem to occur. Is there anyway to make debug permanent - as it is on Cromi, for example?

This is the first I'm hearing about the "about:debug" settings you change not being "permanent". I don't follow you. When I change a debug menu setting in a browser session, then launch a new tab and url "about:debug" in that session, all the settings I changed in the previous session are applied to all new tabs I create. Same is true if I shut it down and relaunch the browser. The settings persist. Yours don't?
Are you running the old browser2RAM that loads the actual browser app as well as its cache into RAM ["mount | grep tmpfs" to check all mounts from the terminal] so the session data doesn't persist? If so, use my startup script 3 in my signature instead - data persists. Its a more versatile replacement for browser2RAM that works on 4.2 as well. For 4.1 and below you can run it from the terminal as su after boot. For 4.2 you need to run it as su *at boot* using either an init.d method or the Script Manager (Devwom) app.
I'm kinda liking this lab flyout! Makes for quick navigation. But this cursor thing is starting to P me O. I use Chrome instead.
@sbdags do you have any suggestions?

Actually I'm running your script for b2r… As for 'permanent' I just meant the menu for debug being always available, not the settings. When it's there as an option the typing doesn't move the screen up - though screen corruption still happens as described.
Using Dolphin currently as I'm a full screen addict and Chrome doesn't offer that - or flash.

Ah, gotcha. About:debug>enable cpu load path fixed some of the corruption I was having with my cursor. Its not just for speed. Developer Options>Force GPU rendering fixes random reboots and other things if you haven't tried that. Make sure you have my script version 3 for Dolphin support. That's about all I've got for you @dgjl.

Thanks for taking an interest, Elfaure. Looking around the 'web' I don't think I'm the only one with ths issue, but there's no one out there with the solution yet. It's just strange that it started without an obvious cause...

I had downloaded a notifiation app which ran under Settings>Accessibility. The moment I disabled it the probem went away!
Marvellous!

You might want to unload my script and see if the problem persists. If it does then ? If not, then maybe some switches could be added to your mount line (nodev, nosuid, gid=...etc.)

The solution is in my previous post - anything running in Settings>Accessibility with conflict with the stock browser/lab and cause this to happen. trouble is now I don't know what to do for a notification widget as they all use 'accessibility' and I don't want the notification bar to be visible. Good old Android - there's always something!

So its either accessibility notifications and a different browser or labs flyouts with the stock brower - your choice. Good you got the bottom of it. That's always the first step in fixing a problem. Looks like you can't have your cake and eat it too on this firmware.

Hello!
I have programmed an app for my own usage that I want to share.
It's simply a sticky notification showing wifi state (including SSID and other information if connected) and also if clicked, it changes wifi state.
Hope you find it useful!
You can install it from the Amazon Appstore or downloading the attached apk.
Changelog:
Version 2: Now shows an icon in status bar when wifi is on (connected or not)
Some more info.
Version 3: Auto update (on/off and time interval configurable), icon when wifi on configurable, text color and info in notification configurable, bugfixes.
I like it, it does exactly what it says it does. The only thing I could have wished that it did was have some type of way to enter the wifi settings menu when clicked instead of disabling wifi. I haven't found a good shortcut for this yet, as I use two different APs in my house (depending on which area of the house) and Android always connects to the last used one rather then the strongest connection, so I always have to go through and change it manually.
Otherwise, anyone looking for a quick way to check your AP and enable/disable wifi without an extra widget, this is definitely a cool, simple and lightweight app to do so.
It's good to know you find it useful.
About accessing wifi settings quickly, you can create a direct shortcut if you use ADW launcher or LaucherPro (I don't know if other launchers have this feature); you have to create a shortcut and then select Activities. In the list that will show up, you can select the settings app and inside it, wifi settings.
Icon in Systray would be nice, so u can see that WiFi is active (but not connectecd to a network)

Thanks..

i definitely agree. there aren't really any good widgets that show this information, and it is quite useful, in addition to the AP name. if this could be added, it would be near perfect.
Thanks for the feedback.
I agree, that info may be useful.
I'll try to show it in the notification.
how can I uninstall it from my HTC Desire HD. I use exented controls and have now conflicts when I tab airplane mode with exented controls and then return to normal mode , I have no more network connection
You can uninstall it like any other application. It should appear in the list of installed programs.
Anyway I don't understand your problem. Do you receive any errors? This application has nothing to do with your network connection... it only shows wifi state and changes its state but doesn't touch anything else.

I think this would be a great improve to your app.
Whats the status?
Thanks great app btw
Sorry for the lack of news.
I have modified it a little bit.
Now it shows an icon when wifi is on (connected or not) and shows more info.
To show info like network speed I need to make it update every X seconds.
I don't like this very much because that way it lost the simplicity.
Anyway I'm trying to make it configurable so you can set it the way you like (Just starting with Android programming )
This is the actual version (no config nor auto update): http://db.tt/dX8m7ao
Like the new configuration options and the infos (IP and bitrate), too bad the notification icon stays always in the status bar when co
nected to an AP; I think the previous behaviour was better, but it's my opinion.
Hope to see other improvement.

I get force close, when I try to start the app, by enabling wifi.
I used to use it on my desire with froyo, and it worked well (used the first release).
Now I installed gingerbread from leedroid, and installed the new version and I get force close. Reinstalled and still force close.
Any suggestions?
btw: really nice app!
I haven't tested it in gingerbread.
I'll try to test it and fix the problem.
Thanks!

i just noticed that although my calendar on the tablet syncs with my google calendar, the time of the appointments is way off. if the calendar has an 11 am appointment, it shows up at 5 pm on the tablet. it's six hours ahead on all my appointments. does anyone else have this problem? how can i fix
also, is there a way to enable search through stock browser to always show up as the classic result, not mobile. when i search, it comes up always as mobile, but not even normally like on my nexus s. it looks like it's just plain html with no spacing or anything. i've attached a screen shot for reference.
Sounds like you don't have your correct time zone selected in the tablet's date/time settings.
Yep. Had wrong time zone. That fixed it. Now if anyone can help me with the browser problem. My tablet would be near perfect

try in settings, eg. in Dolphin toolbox change the user agent to desktop.
if your stock browser doesn't have such option, then try Dolphin or xscope.
dolphin does the same thing.
You may want to change you thread title to something that describes your problem as it may not be limited to VegaN 5.1...
eg: Problem: Browser always shows Google mobile (stripped down)

I use vegan 5.1 with the standard browser. Do the following
Type about:debug in the url and hit the arrow to the right
Go to settings
Scroll down to the bottom u should have a bunch of new options under debug
Go down to the last option and change it from android to desktop
I got a problem with G-tablet. Run with Vegan rom 5.1 .
It automatic shut down without any reason even I didn'touch it.
In quadran app: it show CPU info
Name. : Arm v7 processor REV 0 (V7L)
Current freq ?
Max freq :?
Min freq. :?
Core. :1
I ran some test and it get about 2369 score.
Someone got same problem like this? And the CPU not a tegra2 dual core?
Thank for any info

i tried this, changed it to desktop, but for some reason, still getting the same search view. anyone have any other suggestions.
I also have an issue. Is there a way to calibrate the screen in Vegan?
My issue is that the left side of the screen, about 1.5 inches from the bezel in, seems unresponsive at times. THe home button on the top left is almost unsable. When the keyboard is open, the letters on the let, Q,A,Z, do the same thing. I have looked in settings, but I see nothing for screen calibration.

Make an empty file named "calibration.ini"
Place it on the root of the external sdcard
Reboot your tablet
Don't touch screen until the tab is completely rebooted
Rename calibration.ini to *.bak or delete otherwise it will run every time you reboot
I think it works on the internal sdcard as well but I did it from the external. There will be no prompts or anything running.

That's normal -- "about:debug" isn't actually a page that gets called -- it's like a flag that is set...
If you just continue with the instructions, the hidden options should be there...
The same view may also be due to a cached copy of the site...or the site didn't actually have a "mobile" version...

I think this display may be due to the permissions on the CPUfreq config files (as discussed in some other thread) and/or what the app is using to determine what CPU is present...
I think most apps are just checking the instruction set and running accordingly...
The Tegra2 does use the ARM7 instruction set -- though technically, it is a dual Cortex-A9 derivative...
Cores reporting as only "1" is likely a bug in Quadrant -- probably because dual core procs are so new...
Possibly, could be even that the Tegra2 has disabled the 2nd core as Quadrant doesn't use or need it...but I doubt it...
With phones like the LG Optimus 2X and the Motorola Bionic (both dual core CPUs) coming out, I'd expect a Quadrant update soon to address this display...
battery life from standby?
I've got vegan, and the battery drain during standby seems really high...i hit the power button to turn the screen off this morning around 9am, and by 5:30pm, i had lost 14% of my battery time. Is this typical?

NOTE: This is a list of bugs for STOCK (NON-MODDED) ICS 4.0.3 & 4.0.4 (LC4, LD2, and LE2) (Most bugs from the initial LC4 leak fixed after the two major version leak updates) from DesignGears.
If you have flashed to ANY OTHER CUSTOM ICS 4.0 ROM, PLEASE WRITE IN THE DEVELOPERS' / ROM thread.
1 - 03/26/2012: When selecting "Contacts to Display" and selecting CUSTOMIZE LIST > Selecting ONLY Google Contacts (EXCLUDE G+).
Then you start typing someone's name, it returns contacts in SIM card and on Google contacts.
2 - 03/26/2012: Autocorrect on the included "Android Keyboard" doesn't work by pressing spacebar.....like it had been in previous 2.3.6. Even when changing setting to VERY AGGRESSIVE. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
3 - 03/26/2012 [CONFIRMED] When deleting a message thread, the phone will freeze and turn into a blank screen (except notification bar) then the messaging app will close. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
4 - 03/26/2012: [CONFIRMED] When using the "PHONE" icon to bring up dialer, contacts tab is no longer associated in it.
5 - 03/27/2012: 50/50 Users report more sensitivity on the touch screen, some report lack of sensitivity of touch.
6 - 03/27/2012: HOW TO take screen shot: Press AND HOLD ... VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON for at LEAST 1-2 SECONDS. You will then be prompted to view the screenshot in notification bar / indicator.
METHOD #2 of taking screenshots: Press and HOLD Power button + HOME key.
7 - 03/29/2012: Some users report when tapping "RESTART" or "SHUTDOWN" on STOCK Power-button option, the phone will freeze. Either you have it or you don't. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
7 - 04/02/2012: Users report echoing or unable to hear other party on an INCOMING call. This is a "hit or miss" bug.
8 - 04/02/2012: [CONFIRMED]Bluetooth stack in the new kernel has resolved a LOT of vehicle-to-android phone issue (static, drops, functions, etc.).
10 - 04/04/2012: [CONFIRMED BIG ISSUE] When creating a new contact in phone and setting it to GOOGLE CONTACTs; forcing a sync or auto-sync option will NOT push the contact to google servers for backup purposes. However, deleting or creating a contact while logged in on a full web browser will push it back to the phone via sync. FIXED IN UCLD2 LEAK
11 - 04/09/2012: [CONFIRMED] There are known issues with stock email app. Syncing unread/read e-mails will not push back to exchange server email client. Also emails me not completely send and stays "stuck" in outgoing box.
FIX (Thanks dixit):
This google thread shows the official issue and show that it was fixed officially in 4.0.4.
https://code.google.com/p/android/is...etail?id=23534
If you scroll down to post 51 you will see there is a link where someone put the two 4.0.4 APKs from a Spring Nexus S 4G which fixes this issue as explained above. So just go to that link, download the two Email/Exchange APKs, put them in System/App, correct permissions, remove your two Samsung Native Email APKs, and that will fix the issue of emails being stuck in the outbox.
Here is the direct link to those two APKs off Post 51
http://files.devphone.org/404mail/
11 - 04/15/2012: [CONFIRMED] When adjusting ringtone level in SETTINGS > SOUNDS, the ringtone level will not lower or raise; it stays at one level.
FIX: Adjust via volume rocker while in any other system screen (Home, MMS, etc) BUT NOT IN-APP. *Thanks petrochemicals!*
Here's what I found and posted in another thread...
So far so good except a few things:
1) I hate the fact that "contacts" are no longer visible in the dialer. Now I need another icon that I rarely use. The only option appears to hit menu and select contacts from there.
2) The "power off" and "restart" options in the extended power menu (hold power button down) seem to lock up and freeze whenever I try to use one of these thus requiring a battery pull. Anyone else experiencing this?
3) Can't use built in hotspot tethering anymore. This is something that I use with my tablet often. Any solutions other than a 3rd party app? If not, what app is everyone using for hotspot tethering?
4) Why in the world don't the signal bars turn green once fully connected? It's driving me crazy because normally that means its not connected to your Google account. This is the first time I've seen this (of MANY different Android phones). - This appears to be an ATT thing as other carriers and phones change the signal bars color when its connected to your google account (as it always should be).
Grey bars, works for for me; turning green = same color as battery = confusion to some it is acting as a double icon of ur battery? lol
I don't get a freeze in the menu.... I'm assuming you're talking about the built-in menu not a modded one? I just use the one that came with the ICS.
Hotspot tethering, you'll have to wait for a dev to mod that unless you are wanting an app for it.
I can tell you that I got my portable hotspot to work. It gave me numerous error messages though when I first went to set it up and the screen freezes when I turn it on. I went back to home and back to the hotspot settings and the toggle remained on. I changed the default password to all 9s bc I was getting an invalid password error. After that, I connected my old iPhone to the Skyrocket wi-fi.
I used to use Barnicle Wi-fi tether but it doesn't work now. Is there a difference between the stock portable wi-fi hotspot program on the phone and Barnicle? Im just curious if Barnicle masked the fact that the user was tethering.

I find the keyboard to be a bit slow on the responsive side. Anyone else running into that or am I just trying to type too fast?
Perform a Factory data / reset?
I find the new keyboard fairly responsive vs the old one; I just thought i typed too fast for the old one lol. This one actually keeps up and Swype keyboard tapping works more fluent as well.
good job guys, keep up the troubleshooting so hopefully some devs will cook up a nice rom

I'll give that a spin. I did that once already to fix my home button problem, so I'll try and do another. But yea I use to use the ICS keyboard from the market on GB, and that was quick enough for me.
stuff I notice so far
I did notice the contact tab missing from dialer. The menu selected one doesn't allow right and left swipe for call/text. In the contacts app, the swipe works ok.
the only real problem for me, thus far, is when deleting SMS threads; messaging force closes.
Anyone else have that?
BTW thanks for starting this thread, wasn't sure where to post bugs - I think this may be usefull to keep them all in one spot.
Getting some odd behavior from Rom Mngr
Aside from other errors I got, when I ask ROM Mngr. to perform a task, I get a bunch of errors like "Messaging has failed," "Internet has failed," "com.google.xx" has failed. But then it goes and performs the request.
However! Whereas on 2.3.6 UCLA3, when requesting a backup via ROM Mngr., it would go straight to the backup whereas now, it goes into CWM and I still have to select Backup from the option there.
Deleting threads freezes my messaging also.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
Noticed a new one.
Not getting pictures with messages now, too.
Nvm. Damn - I hate bug posts. They come, they go.
The only thing I've noticed so far is I don't seem to get LTE in my house anymore. Boo...
I'm having issues with audio files. I can't use either Google Play Music, Samsung Music Player or Doubletwist to play audio. It creates duplicates which I believe corrupt the file itself.

I get it too, but there is no need for a battery pull if it freezes during a restart.
Press and hold the power button and the phone will restart after a few seconds.
It's a leak, not an official release, so I fully expected bugs.
Face unlock crashes a lot for me.
It fails o power on the camera and then the keypad doesn't respond for PIN input.
Requires a reboot.

Did you do a complete ext4 wipe / format prior to ODIN ONE CLICK ?
Run factory data reset, then fix permissions and then reboot. Face unlock works perfect and pin input works.

Yep.

have you done "improve facial recognition " if so how many additional pictures did you take?
Facial unlock is perfect for me. No problems whatsoever.

This little app acts as a replacement or companion to the default systembar on tablets. It can hide and restore systembar on most Android 3.x and 4.x devices.
Also like similar apps it requires root.
Unlike "GMD Hidebar" or "Hide Bar" which are recommended for simply using the device in "Kiosk mode" this app is meant to be more like an replacement for the systembar. It provides two configurable softbuttons which can be configured in position, size, color and transparency or can be completely disabled.
Several actions can be assigned to the buttons. Each button holds up to three actions, one for short, one for long click and one for swipe above the button. Possible actions:
Nothing: Um, yeah.. this does... nothing. Not sure why I implemented this.
Go back: Acts as the known "back" button to navigate back within apps.
Go to homescreen: Shortcut to directly go to homescreen... just like at the original systembar
Show recent apps: Will show a little panel to quickly switch between recently used apps. Unfortunately the well known "swipe to kill" function of the original can't be implemented because the necessary permission is only granted to apps with systems signature.
Restore systembar: An action to quickly restore systembar. With the latest version this can also be done by notification.
Show notifications: The second most important feature of the systembar. It shows a panel displaying the notifications. It is a complete reimplementation so some features are not available for now. The basic function works well on most devices.
Open apps menu: Older apps usually display their menu-button within the systembar. This action now can open the menu for those apps.
Pie Menu: Opens a configurable Pie Menu next to the touch area. This menu can be configured individually for each event.
This free version is fully functional and should be absolutely sufficient for most users. For lazy ones like me, who don't want to manually hide'n'restore systembar each time, there is a "plus"version available which automatically hides systembar for selected apps.
Oh, and yes, the free version shows a little advertisment for the plus version once in a while... if you want to get rid of it: just click this advert three times and it won't appear again. If you didn't buy the plus version after visiting it's store entry three times you probably won't ever.

Thanks for your feedback.
The recent apps panel should be closed when tapping on back button or anywhere alse outside the panel.
Well there is indeed a issue when "short click action" is set to something else than "Go back". Then tapping on button does not hide the panel. Did you mean this? I'll fix that.
I just got a message the wallpaper-workaround does not work at all on one device.
Since the wallpaper-issue was one of my main topics I am eager to solve this.
At least me and some testers never ran into this problem: if anyone else experiences this, please drop me a line. I need to collect some information to delimit that issue.
update:
the latest version now introduces the missing Notifications Panel.
At least for me the missing access to notifications was the only reason to ever restore the original systembar. So now it nearly always stays hidden.
A little drawback: new notifications so far are only being reported by sound. My own tablet doesn't have a LED and Vibro, so I personally am not missing this.
Hope you like it!
Great little app and I would be happy to shell a couple of bucks for it, one suggestion if I may though: it seems to be the case that all those who develop this kind of on-screen button apps forget to put a feedback for when the button is being pressed (momentary change of color preferably).
Since your app seems to be of the most complete offerings I think it would be great if you were to implement it in a given future. Android devices are often no strangers to lag so a feedback of any kind (that the button was actually pressed) I think it would improve the usability by quite a lot and hopefully it is easy to be implemented too...
Again thanks for this great app, here's looking forward for future updates

Seems that those developers hardly ever imagine to operate an Android device with somthing else than their big Wurstfinger-thumbs
When I use the app I don't see the buttons since they are completely covered by my fingers. But you are right, when using eg. one of those attach-to-TV-Android-sticks which are operated by mouse and keyboard, and having systems touch sounds disabled, there is no feedback at all.. It's pretty easy to implement such optical feedback, soon to be done.
thanks for your suggestion.

Not much else to suggest -I guess- sort from allowing more actions (through the press of the buttons) but that can be done later... oh and a way to have the buttons accessible regardless of being fullscreen or not (for those who'd love to have "hot corners" at all times)... oh and a minor bug report now that we're at it: upon reboot the app gets superuser permission but does not procede to enable the service (even though I have "enable at boot" selected).
Again thanks for this great app, loving it so far
This works really well on the Nexus 7. I was using GMD gesture control and i had remapped my volume buttons so they could be used as back and home but this is much handier. I can now have my buttons back.
Many thanks
I bought the paid version.
I have been looking an app like this for a while, tried others but this is perfect for what i want.
Top job!!
The latest version includes visual feedback for button-press. I chose a not to flashy color, hope you like it. I am thinking of implementing the before suggested user-colorable buttons but this may take some time...

mhh, I could only confirm this behaviour when setting SuperSu to prompt for granting su-access to the app. Which su-Manager are you using?
Did you set your su-Manager to automatically grant access to full!screen? This is necessary because the timeout waiting for su-access is set to 10 seconds... Since full!screen uses that accessibility-service it gets loaded at very early stage... far before other apps get loaded. Depending on how long it takes to fully load the system the timeout might occur even before the su-Manager gets a chance to Display it's confirmation-dialog.

I was usuing "superuser" so maybe that was why; once I've installed superSu the issue went away and now it boots with my system I've I asked it to
As for the visual feedback it works great but it goes away a bit too soon (Google's own feedback lasts quite a bit longer when one presses -say- the home button) and also it's less than visible when one uses low opacity. I like how the color is discrete though, great choice :good:
All in all I'll recommend this to friends what a great app
BugReport:
While using the app, SnapChat wont work. It FCs. When turning off fullscreen, it works.
Edit: To be to the point; One can take a picture with snapchat and put a comment on it, but when you press "send" it FCs.

installed this SnapChat on my tablet and could send and receive pictures without problems. I am just to blind to find a place to enter a comment to the picture!?
Anyway, I doubt I could do anything about another app complaining about missing systembar or something...
Is it a phone you installed the app to? ... there are some problems known with phone devices like not receiving calls anymore.. may be it's some related problem. :-/

You just click the screen for adding a comment.
Anyhow, yes. Its a phone. Its my Xperia V.
I got quite a few apps tho, so it might just aswell be any other app aswell.
But I found it to good to be a coincidence when I disabled fullscreen and then it worked.
The FC still happends when I dont comment btw.
But it might be SC complaining ofcourse. But its no problem, I just added an invisible button to get the systembar back before I take pictures with SC.
Your app is the only one working properly btw. the lower left and right buttons that you've added are perfect. I can make them small and invisible wich makes it perfect. GREAT job!
Keep up the good work.
I'd like the option to have the notification bar on, but the onscreen buttons off, with just the corner buttons etc., if that makes sense. I like having the notification bar on, I think it's useful. Apologies if there is a way to do this already, I couldn't seem to find it.
It would be good if it rearranged the app icons too to fill the extra space better.
Or alternatively, I would like notification on, original onscreen buttons on but transparent with screen visible behind them, that would be a good option too, I think.
Thanks for the app though.

Unfortunately that not possible at all... at least not without patching original systemUI. Buttons bar and notifications bar are created by the same process. Disabling this process obviously means disabling both bars. I might implement an internal UI similar to the original systemUI some day. But thats at the end of a long list of wishes and suggestions I got so far, because it would take much, much work.
Re: [App][3.x][4.x] full!screen - App to hide/replace Systembar
Hi, this program is almost perfect for me, but I have a question: given that it's oriented towards tablets, ¿do you foresee any problem using it in a phone?. I've installed the free version in my Xperia T and it seems to work alright, but I want to be sure.

I decided to create this thread so that people don't need to hunt through the large discussion threads.
Note that this is *not* a thread for discussing the ROM.
I will update these posts based on *confirmed* bugs. By that, I mean two or more people confirming the bug on pure cm 10.2 - not using other kernels.
Also the ROM must have had a clean install (wipe data, cache, system) and not flashed over a previous install.
It's also worth reading what CyanogenMod have to say about the 10.2 nightlies (http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/this-week-in-cm-aug-16-2013) as it gives you an idea of what to expect from the ROM at this stage.
ROM is available here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=jfltexx
The official ROM thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42387383
The discussion thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41851449
Only flash the ROM with the latest CWM (http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager), TWRP 2.6.0 (http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/jfltexx), or the latest PhilZ (http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=16685#files)
DO NOT use earlier versions of PhilZ (prior to 5.13.9) or you will have boot (no animation, hang on updating apps) and installation (no signal, no baseband) problems.
DO NOT use TWRP 2.6.1 as it fails to flash the ROM.
First time cm 10.2 users please see post #4 for some useful tips.

Bug list
Bluetooth
(Does not affect all users and may be related to BT 4.0 devices)
No audio on BT; doesn't connect/disconnect properly.
Compass
The compass doesn't work "out of the box".
Solution:
- when first using an app requiring the compass (Google maps, GPS status, etc), the compass is "frozen" until it is calibrated (rotate the phone 2-3 times about each of its three axes).
- the compass will then move, but very erraticly, often going around in circles
- if you exit the app and then reopen it, the compass will work properly from then on.
DSP
DSP distorts sounds. This affects music play back.
Workaround: freeze DSP using TB
Mobile network modes
(Not everyone has this problem as it is language related)
- It is set to: GSM/WCDMA/LTE, but when opening the drop-down menu it selects the option LTE (which is two above GSM/WCDMA/LTE).
- Selecting some options may cause an FC.
Network operator name
Name shows correctly on the notification shade, but only numbers are shown in Settings/Wireless&Networks/Mobile networks/Network operators
Apps
Camera
- HDR doesn't produce a proper HDR image. It only takes one low exposure image.
- Some people have been getting occasional green lines on photos taken using the front-facing camera.
- In Scene or HDR mode, touching on the screen does not refocus.
- (0908 ) Video recording at 1080p will cause the phone to reboot.
- (0908 ) Exposure is locked at the value of the first photo taken (if taken without flash). Subsequent photos use the same exposure as the first photo.
Workaround: change the flash mode to automatic then change it to none. Then it will work properly. But this needs to be done each time the camera app is started.
File Manager
(1113: reintroduced ) In root access mode the bookmark for the internal SD card points to /storage/emulated/0 which doesn't exist.
Workaround: bookmark /data/media/0 or /storage/sdcard0
Terminal
- su doesn't inherit PATH if it was previously modified by export.
- Arrow keys don't work properly in su mode.
Fixed
List of fixed bugs (version fixed)
Headphone mic doesn't work (20130818 )
Phone picks up sound from the phone microphones.
Workaround: keep the phone close to you.
Home key long press (20130818 )
Changing the option in Settings/Buttons/Home Button:Long press doesn't actually change the long press behaviour of the Home button.
Key backlight (20130827)
There is no longer an option to disable the backlight on the menu and back keys.
Workaround: flash this http://db.tt/evvZLhkx. Note that if you wiped /data then you must flash this file *after* the ROM has booted for the first time.
Lock screen (20130924)
If the icons of the shortcuts are changed, they must all be changed at the same time otherwise the ones that were previously changed revert to the original app icon.
Quick Settings panel
- (0924 or earlier) Orientation tile: it doesn't lock/unlock screen rotation immediately. It needs a screen change (such as bringing up the recent app list) to take effect. (20131001)
Random reboots
(0909) Some users get random reboots.
Root cause: bug in Chrome beta. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45642265
SELinux status (20130818 )
Repeated taping on the SELinux status in Settings/About phone will freeze the phone and cause it to reboot after some time.
Sound recording (20131011)
Volume is very low in Sound Recorder and video recordings.
Partial workaround: use Smart Voice Recorder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrwq.recorder and disable automatic gain control.
Workaround: use ktoonsez kernel and faux sound control app to increase the microphone gain.
Super user (20130815)
Does not work properly after a clean install.
Workaround: change Root access to Apps and ADB in Settings/Developer options
Apps
Camera
- No option to save to external SD card. This may be by design rather than a bug. (20130821)
Workaround: use Gallery2.apk from cm 10.1
- (1017) Note: cm are working in the camera. The camera will sometimes hang, often after using video. Force closing it results in a "Can't connect to camera" message. A reboot is required to reactivate the camera. (20131021)
File Manager (20130918 )
In root access mode the bookmark for the internal SD card points to /storage/emulated/0 which doesn't exist.
Workaround: bookmark /data/media/0
Trebuchet
- Icons in folders disappear after a while. (20130817)
Workaround: use a different launcher
- When icon labels are hidden, the label on an app will reappear if it is updated. (20131001)
Terminal
- (0918 ) In su mode, /sdcard points to /storage/emulated/legacy (/data/media/legacy), which is empty, instead of /storage/emulated/0 (/data/media/0). (20131011)
First time users
A few things you need to know:
Developer options
Only shows up in Settings when you tap 7 times on the Build number in Settings/About phone.
Reboot options on Power menu
Check Advanced reboot in Settings/Developer options.
ADB
For your PC to get ADB access, enable USB debugging in Settings/Developer options.
Watch your phone when you first run ADB and allow the PC access to your phone.
Internal SD card
With Android 4.2.2 (or was it earlier?) the internal SD card is now mounted at /data/media/0 in order to support multiple user profiles. Your files may still be in /data/media/legacy.
Sorry for repeating, but this information could be useful (cwm 6.0.3.6, cm10.2 nightly 14/08, previous firmware - cm10.1 nightly 13/08).

Went to the mall and saw LTE appears which I didn't expect to work since I've been on AOSP for a while without it. Quickly did a speed test and got 8 Mbps down and 3.5 up and this is with Sprint.

There is a bug in Trebuchet launcher. After reboot some of icons in folders simply disappear
two bugs I noticed:
Alternate action of 'long press Home button' doesn't stick (after closing settings It's back to app-switching when I long press, where I selected Search-app)
Mobile network modes set to: GSM/WCDMA/LTE, when opening the drop-down menu it selects the option LTE (which is two above GSM/WCDMA/LTE)
