Bluetooth Headset? - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

My old Jawbone Icon finally died. What's the best Bluetooth headset for the Galaxy S4?
I like the smaller ones, with the best audio quality, and also let you hear your movies, Google Navigation, etc.

its personal preference ... i personally bought the LG tone+ headset they work great for the gym & it tucks into my collar a bit, you barely notice it around your neck at all. verizon has them on sale til the end of the month for $60 but i got them for $52.50 with my 25% discount (25% off the original price @ $70)

im considering the Sony SBH20, don't really need the display of the mw600 and it's always nice with new gadgets

Bluetooth Headphones.

Does anybody know any good bluetooth headphones...I hate working out with wired headphones. Right now I'm debating between the Sony DRBT100CX and Motorola MOTOROKR S9-HD.
get the sonys as i've had the motos and they're rubbish and hurt your ears after a while !
I have the motorokr s305 I just got from verizon for 25.00 on a sale. I also have a pair of Dynex headphones from ebay I got for 20$. They both feel ok and work great. For the price, the Dynex ones are good.
On a side note, I opened up the dynex headphones and wired audio cables up to it to plug into my home receiver.
Careful buying motorola products on ebay. I purchased a set of bluetooth headphones and got a knockoff. They worked like ****.
The motorola s9 hd is totally wireless which is great.
The sony uses bluetooth 2.1 which might work better with my n1 compared to the motorola s9 hd's 2.0 bluetooth.
I have the Sennheiser MM400 and its the best i tried. Especially the sound is great if u listen to music as well!
Yes, I using it to mostly workout...i need something that won't fall off while running so the Sennheiser MM400 might be suitable.

I don't think there are any "good" ones. Reading the reviews leads me to believe they all suck.
I have the Motorola S805 and they're comfortable enough but the sound quality is lacking and they're also quite noisy (hiss). I almost always use corded headphones instead.
So what's the difference b/w bluetooth 2.0 vs. bluetooth 2.1

About .1
LOL. good one...I mean specs wise. Better reception and quality?
I actually own a pair of those Sony DRBT100CX and they work very good with the MyTouch. I listen to music on them a lot and there's no skipping.
Using it for calls works well also, the mic on it is sensitive though. I could stand about 25 feet away while talking in a normal voice and it comes in crystal clear on the other end (probably not good to use in crowded areas, at least for talking on the phone through it).
I also use it paired with my ps3 as a headset and it works well with it also.
I'm satisfied with it thus far.
I have the Moto HT280's the S9's and now the Altec Lansing/Plantronics BackBeat 906
They all cut out horribly outdoors.
The problem seems to be they can't penetrate a human torso, so a phone in your breast pocket won't get signal to the antenna near the back of your head. If the signal has walls to bounce off of it's generally fine.
However if I use the audio->bt dongle that came with the 906's it works fine indoors or outdoors. So I'm currently blaming weak BT on the N1
I'm currently trying to figure out a BT TX power test suite to see of the N1 just has weak BT TX/RX power (perhaps to save the battery) and if it's changeable.
Motorokr S9, had them last year, they lasted about 3 months with me running75-80 minutes a day 4x or 5x week, then the sweat got in and [email protected]@ked an
ll up. Definitely not worth it, also the controls are awful. I now have a pair of iLuv clip-on earphones, and they come with an adapter so they can be used even with non BT devices. I love them.
Motorola S805 if you like supra aural head phones (not ear buds).
I use this for both computer headphones and headphones for my phone. It also has a mic if you get a phone call mid work out.
They do skip on occasion, but it's not that big a deal.
Ive got Nokia BH-03 which are great for the price I paid which was about 40 bucks. 10 hours of music play time really loud and great sound quality(for Bluetooth headphones).
Does anyone else have sync issues when switching from music to games?

I have a pair of Sony BT and a pair of Insignia BT, they both sound great to me but im far from an audiophile. I usually use the insignias more because theyre wrap arounds which is better for me at the gym, but I usually leave my phone on the windowsill and the quality is fine wherever I walk around, its not a huge gym, but decent size and the audio controls built onto the insignias let me pause, skip fwd and back, volume and all that stuff which is nice.
Motorola Bluetooth® DJ Headphones S805
I Bought the Motorola Bluetooth® DJ Headphones S805 last year for my G1 and i must say i love them! they can last you 12hrs on a single charge. i would highly recommend these headphones. here's a link from amazon. Click Here. shop around you could find a better deal on them. good luck.

has anyone used jaybirds, they're alittle expensive compared to the other bluetooth headphones i've seen, but i've seen great ratings on them as well.
supposed to be great for workouts, sweat durability and all
especially curious how they work with n1 if anyone has them or tried them

[Q] bluetooth headphones

I'm conflicted on which bluetooth headphone to go with. I'm looking to spend less than $40 with good audio quality, comfort, and battery life. So far I'm debating between the motorola S305 and the rocketfish RF-MAB2. Anyone have experience with both of these? if so pros/cons? Thanks!

He's talking about BT headphones... anyway,
I personally have both the Moto S9 and the Samsung WEP 870. I like the 870 because the buds that come with it are the sound isolating kinds and the sound quality is about 7.5/10, and that's pretty good considering its hard to find good quality stereo BT headphones...
thanks for the suggestions but i was looking to get the over the ear type (not the ones in ear since i plan to use them during running and i'd like to hear cars come up on me, feel safer than having the in ear plus i feel more comfortable wearing the over the ear too)
I bought the S305 when newegg had them on sale a few months back, 29.99 shipped. I love them, i use them all the time. I can be listening to music on my laptop while at work and if i get a call, it will switch over for me. I also use them when im working out, and they never move. Seem very comfortable to me, really good sound i think. I can get about 3 hours continuous use out of them. A couple days of sparatic on/off just watching videos at lunch or something.
Bonus: comes with a micro usb charger for them that just happens to fit my phone perfectly.
I have used the Motorola one and found it very uncomfortable.
Its more expensive then you wanted but it does allow you to use higher quality headphones or ones you already own.

My Epic Bluetooth
I own this bluetooth for over a month and I love it. Great sound, clear, and loud.
Voices sounds perfect with bass not like a hollow high pitch. When you place a call you can hear the sound level increase to a optimum level. Best thing is that it has a long battery life of 14hrs standby, a on/off switch, and volume control, voice controls and redial last call. You can't go wrong with Samsung since they make the Epic 4g its best to stick with this brand for the highest compatibility. Also its cheap and you don't have to break the bank.
I recommend this bluetooth to all epic 4g users alike and XDA...

best bluetooth I ever used..
controls music, volume and calls..
it also vibrates around your neck when u get a call.. so if your phone is on silent or u just cant hear it.. u will still know u have a call coming in.
I agree wholeheartedly with bigdreco! Best Bluetooth of the dozens (I'm hard on small electronics) that I have owned... until I washed it in a pair of jeans I could have SWORN I checked all of my pockets though.
I picked mine up off Ebay for $35.
I have to agree with lanboy except for one thing..
Get the Samsung Modus HM3500...
It has a stereo headset option. You can use it as a single, over the ear, bluetooth or
attach the included earbuds (with additional mic) and use it to listen to music and get calls.
It's about $25.

[Q] need good bluetooth headphones for my n4

i need a good pair of bluetooth headphones (music and voice) for ny n4. I tried out over the ears and didnt like the pressure on my head. i tried the lg tones 7 and 8 series and either the bluetooth didnt work well or the audio quality wasnt great. i want to try the infinium, the new lg tones but cant justify to pay that much for similar types of headsets on thr market.

I ordered the JayBird BlueBuds X Sport from Amazon along with a case for the phone. People seem to like the BlueBuds X.

Any BT that uses apt x codec will sound great for being bt headphones. The jaybird x are nice as they support apt x. As well as many of the LG tone headphones. I know the Tone 730 I used sounds great for music. I wonder if your old phone did not have apt x support. Not all of them do. What price range are you looking at?

i have the z10 currently therefore i am estatic to get my n4
my budget is up to 100 but the more cost effective, the better so i can spend more on other accessories!
I have own the jaybirds x for a while now. Couldn't be happier with them. Sure they are a bit expensive but in my opinion worth every penny. My backup pair is the Motorola s10. The range is awesome on them. I could run a 1/8 mile track and never lose signal with my device.
I love my jaybirds bluebuds x they have amazing sound
The jay birds are the best, i found the next best at a fair price to be the Plantronics backbeat 2 to be the next best thing. Great sound good range and small footprint. People have claimed poor battery life. I avagerage about 5 to 6 hours of constant use. They claim 4 to 6 from the company i believe. Can be purchased around 50 dollars.

I've tried two models of the LG Tone with my Note 2. At times they sounded horrible, and also frequently cut the microphone out; the people on the call thought I hung up but I could still hear them but they couldn't hear me. That seemed to be a software issue on the Note 2. And it also got to where the headphones were staticy or went out even though they were only 2 feet from the phone. A reboot 90% of the time fixed those problems for a while.
So far I haven't experienced that with the Note 4 thankfully.
I have a pair of these under the anker brand. Not bad for only 30 bucks that I paid for them.
http://www.amazon.com/VicTsing-Blue...qid=1413976840&sr=8-1&keywords=atpx+bluetooth
But i know the jbird x sound much better then these. Do you have to have bt headphones? Maybe get a cheaper set for working out and a better set like these?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HUNUOJW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have these and they are great for the price.
I think my next headphones may be something like the samsung Level on set. Just waiting for a better price on them.
For those with the Jaybirds, how is the battery life?
AS long as they don't cut out/mute when wifi is on.. Had that issue with my Note 3 and LG HBS-750
I got the jaybirds. Love them. I've never ran them completely out of battery before charging, so I don't know the exact battery life. Have gotten over 5 hours many times though.

I want something unintrusive, to take advantage from android wear to actually control the device: so earphones, sound quality and almost no cable... right now the only thing I found are the Jaybirds.
JasonJoel, may I ask how fares the mic and noise cancellation system? The only complaint I've ever heard is about poor voice in-call!
I think the noise cancelation is pretty good. The mic quality is ok, but not great.

I just purchased the Plantronics Backbeats 2 about 3 days ago. Had never seen them but I went into Vzn to look for Note 4 accessories and saw the last pair hanging. I thought to myself, WOW only one pair....that's a good sign, right? lol. Anyway, I have to say I am satisfied with the sound quality. I love the pouch & fact that it is a on the go charger as well. I had plantronics before as a bluetooth earpiece about 10yrs ago and that was a good device way back then. I have issues with finding the proper sized buds to use. Oddly enough the large ones work best as fully plugging my ear for best sound quality. I am still gonna try Sammy' s Circle Gear though.
I have these http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics...qid=1414287587&sr=8-1&keywords=airfi+matrix+2 MEElectronics Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62 Stereo Bluetooth Wireless + Wired Headphones with aptX, AAC, and NFC . They sound great with BT 4.0 and aptx codec and there isn't much clamping force

Thanks! I have the Platronics Backbeat Go 2, but the ear tips are terrible. There isn't any Comply Foam I can order either. No budget earbuds seem to have better fit and audio quality than the good old Klipsch S4a. I'll definitely pick these up to use with my Klipschs.

Best Bluetooth headset you can recommend

Im looking to buy a new headset.
Im talking a lot on the phone in my work and beside that im doing sports and heavy music listening.
So, what can you recommend? I really care for the quality and i was thinking about the Sony hbs5X... Any recommendations about any of those or anything different?
I own Sony SBH50 and it's absolutely great, I can't find a weak point. Maybe I'd like a better battery life, but on the other hand battery is never enough. I think that SBH52 adds waterproof and HD voice, but audio quality of SBH50 is already great.
Thanks, what do you think about the 54?

I have an SBH52 and love it. Works great with the Note 4 and very convenient being able to answer calls (and see who's calling) without touching the phone. There are lots of add-ons in the Play store as well that allow you to view text messages and gmail messages etc right on the screen of the SBH52 (and other Sony headsets).

I didn't know about SBH54 until a few days ago. I think it's the SBH52 "rebranded", I do not see any striking differences. If I had to buy a new bluetooth and was not on a tight budget, I'd definitely buy it. Right now, SBH50 is just fine for me.
For me. the main reason for buying it was the FM radio. What I'd really like to see in one of those is some presets for the FM radio, so we wouldn't have to search our favorite stations all the time.
i still just use the LG HBS-730
and still hd voice too with own eq settings and vibrate when getting a call
also battery life is pretty great and charges about 30 mins from dead
I'm using Plantronics Explorer 500 and i'm very happy.

I don't use Bluetooth Headset for Music. For calls, I tried many and finally settled on Plantronics Voyager Edge finally. Nothing that's available in India beats it in terms of use in noisy, windy conditions. 6hr talk time maybe less for some but for me it's enough since I usually have the charging dock handy to recharge it quickly.
Plantronics Voyager Legend.
I absolutely love my Plantronics Voyager legend. Everyone always compliments me on the quality of sound, it's comfortable...and I've worn it on all day conference calls. Great battery life. Recharges fast.
Get the charging case, it's essential.

If you do a lot of sports and music on a go kinda thing then SQ isn't the #1 priority! Sweat resistance, secure fit and durability gotta be on top of your list! Nothing beats Plantronics BackBeat Fit in these aspects, absolute king of sporty headsets! SQ is just decent/good, can be slightly better if you buy JBL's extratips! Calling (phonecalls and VoIPs) is just fine! Here's the link from amazon to check users' reviews and find these JBL tips as well amazon. But buy it refurb from eBay, they are in 40-55$ range! Good luck

Agreed. BlueParrot makes the best noise cancelling microphones period. Truck drivers swear by the 250. My old boss says he uses the 250 in his motorcycle helmet and no one can tell hes flying down the highway. They have a 350 now that uses microusb to charge and the firmware can be upgraded. I own the 350, it amazing. But neither of those models will work with exercising. They have other products, but out of my realm.
My current driver is http://www.plantronics.com/uk/product/voyager-edge.
I highly recommend it!
3 recommendations --
-- Plantronics Legend for workday when I'm at the desk on con calls
-- LG Infinim for during Golf or other activity. The nice thing with both LG and Legend is it allows 2 phones to be connect at once. I have a home cell phone and work cell phone, so this feature is critical. The infinim stays stays on my neck even with my wild golf swing.
-- For plane ride, Bose QC20. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference, but when you turn these on, the airplane engine noise disappears. This isn't bluetooth, but you can connect it to a BT receiver.
I am using samsung circle Bluetooth to me it's the best sounds experience and battery
Ps: I have 5 year using Bluetooth and the circles it's the best on my opinion
