I looked the these threads I could not find guide how to unroot i535 verizon 4.1.2 back to stock. I found old guide uses 4.0.4 unroot. That works that way?

There isn't any guide to unroot you just flash an unrooted stock ROM via Odin and that is it.

Use the verizon stock firmware instead of the international one and flash using odin as mentioned in the link.

LeonKnight12: Which method did you use for your successful restore?

Good morning good afternoon good evening depending on where you are..
There is a similar thread just below this but obviously my issue is more on depth...
Let me explain what happened.
I was running clean ROM 5.0 and attempted to flash kind of crap mods. In doing so, I lost the ability to make or receive phone calls or texts.
It was brought to my attention that my IMEI may have been damaged and it turns out it was.
I followed the steps to repair it with @puremotive step by step and got it back.
I flashed back to clean ROM 5.0 without any problems. The ROM is in tact and running fine, my IMEI number restored, but I still can't make calls or texts. I can get on the internet.
I tried punching in the *code on the keypad without success.
I really don't want to have to send my phone back to the manufacturer!
Can anyone please help me. I am at work and can't use my phone.
Thank you all very much. Good karma coming your way

I'm pretty sure the sim re-provision code is disabled on TW JB because of the recent exploits reported about malicious folks embedding the code into websites.
Try it on an ICS TW rom and see if that works. If you don't know of one, then Odin an ICS stock image then try the dialer code again.

Download load stock vzw rom version 4.0.4 from sammobile.com and on firmware, type I535, it should pop up with stock vzw rom for you to download. Does your imei match the one on the back of the phone? ERI version should be 5. Let try with original stock rom first, then do *2767*3855# again, hoping it restores your ERI version to 5. Otherwise, you did not restore your imei correctly.

It could be the problem, but try original stock rom from sammobile.com, search box type I535 and it should pop up download section for you. ERI appears automatically when you restore imei. I did this thru QPST program and manually input imei from the back of the phone. Anyway, try unrooted stock rom first to see imei and ERI popup after you do *2767*3855#

***Must be on vzw stock rom that originally came with the phone, you can download that rom from sammobile.com, click firmware and type i535 in search box. Just register for username and password to download the rom, and then after you reprovision your phone, just root the phone again if it works and you are able to make or receiving call. Try this first!!
If all of the above does not work, try to repair your imei again and here is the link and instruction to fix imei to get the ERI:

YES! Do just like they said. Use only the SAMSUNG STOCK ROM. People have been telling you this for a while, and you continue to use custom ROMs. You'll lose root, but that's easy to get back. It's more important to have a working phone.

Hello flashers anonymous!
Long story short......I flashed an updated kernal for the version I had. It bricked my phone. I odined it back to life. My phone automatically updated itself to 4.1.2, the rom I was running is based on 4.1.1, can someone send me a link for the .tar file I can use with odin to restore my phone back to 4.1.1? I tried to search for it, but I wasent sure which one is the most current version. Thanks everyone.

Follow the "recover from soft brick" directions. There is a 4.1.1 download link on hotfile. Worst case scenario you reflash everything through odin, and lose you root/unlocked bootloader. But that is easy to get back. Something to note is that goo.im is having problems with their servers, so you may have to google the file names on the threads....
I have the ATT skyrocket rooted and unlocked when I first got the phone in 2011, and is on 4.04. I remember that the post said that I must unroot if I want to upgrade the rom OTA from ATT. Is there any other way to upgrade to the latest stockrom without unroot? I cannot find the post I originally referenced to root/unlock.

^^ what he said. Just get the .tar file from sammobile.com and flash using Odin. You will lose root after this process.
If you want to update using kies (the update is not ota. You have to use kies. ) then s long as kies detects your phone and you have a stock recovery, you should be OK.
However, I believe that you will loose your apps and data with both the methids.. So just use Odin

Thank you very much. I should be able to re-root after the upgrade, correct? Or the lastest 4.1.2 cannot be rooted yet?
I have problem with Odin before, never got anything done with it. Let me try it this time.

If your rooted why not just flash a stock rom with the newest update. That will save you the trouble of dealing with Odin.

Why would you unroot to do the update via Odin. I believe your logic is flawed here. Although I do agree an install would be expeditious via recovery, your argument is flawed.

It says do not flash an ml1 firmware package. He says specifically to flash the latest mf1 firmware package, then flash the ml1 radio only. It's a little confusing, so make sure you understand it before you flash anything.

I'm on MB1 still.
So I must go here and flash MF1 for D2VZW:

Then go here: http://invisiblek.org/sch-i535/modems/d2vzw_ML1_modem.zip
and the ML1 radio should start downloading... then flash it?
Both of these are good to flash in recovery without any wipes.
Is this correct? Lol.
