If you got twrp, then you must know the basics.
Get in recovery, mount USB storage, copy ROM on internal sd and Just flash a new ROM. Flash boot.img
How do you got it wiped accidentally??
Verstuurd van mijn One S met Tapatalk
I think the not-so-obvious part for a newbie is when you get stuck in a bootloop, you can hold the power button till it restarts, THEN as the bottom lights turn off you hit Volume down + power at just the right moment.
then you navigate to recovery, mount, and copy over the zip.
When I got my first ever bootloop (back in the day), I remember being stuck in it for 10 minutes. I knew how to get to the bootloader from a complete power off, but holding power during boot would only restart my phone.
thanks

HELP!!
I've spent several days on this and I'm about to lose my mind. I really am not liking this mytouch4g slide POS.
I was able to use the kit to unlock the bootloader, but any other option within these forums has left me at the tmobile splash screen. I can get everything installed onto the phone, cleared evferything to clear, reset, etc., but can NOT get s-off nor can I get a new rom to load. I've tried many many methods found in these forums to no avail - could someone please assist? Below is my phone info - thanks in advance!

now new rom + ics, but still s-on
Thanks AgentCherryColla!!
I had tried that before, but it didn't work.
Maybe I just needed to read your magic words...but sure thing, it up and worked this morning. Absolute goodness - a totally new phone. amazing!
BUT - came to the need to restart and back into the stuck splash screen it went. booted into hboot and it's still s-on. Restoring from the recovery I just set...wanted to try not to have to wipe all the settings I just went through. Is there a perm fix for this, or every time I power off am I going to have to rework something?
Thanks again & in advance for help!

Your phone should be rebooting fine, did you do a full wipe and fastboot the boot.img?
Fulle wipe is:
Format system
Format cache
Format data
Format sd EXT ( if you have an ext for a2sd, most users dont have an EXT partition )
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash ROM
Flash gapps ( if AOSP )
Fasboot flash boot.img
Finally reboot

I'm not sure which PG59IMG file you're talking about but if you're having these many problems why don't ou just try to flash back to stock and start the process over? If you're S-On too you're going to need a signed copy which would be one of the Tmo OTA files they sent out. If you'll hit the "Blue6IX" Link in my signature and look at the last entries for the first post you'll see the ones for the appropriate Hboot software version you're running. With S-On it will only let you load the right one anyway if you don't know which one you're on. (...and I guess if you have S-Off, there IS no wrong one)
Hi all,
I hope one of you masterminds is able to help me out.
I tried to root my sensation without s-off with hecdev.com (using One_X_All-In-One_Kit_v1.0) and then tried to install cm9 from one the links here via revcovery with CWM 5.8.0.9.
But then I was stuck with the loading animation...
I cannot run Android now, so I cannot flash a stock RUU.
I can enter bootloader, which seems to be unlocked, here's the info:

I was on the latest official ROM (ICS, via OTA) before trying that.
I have not succeeded in flashing a ROM anymore.
Do I need to get S-Off first?
Or is HBOOT to new? Do I have to revert? How?
I tried older HBOOT, but it wouldn'T do anything after PArsing
Please help, any hint is appreciated =/
PS: I would be more than happy to have a stock rom again...as mentioned, cannot use a ruu.exe file, as it seems fastboot usb ist not recognizable by ruu.exe
Edit: After the 4th or 5th try, RUU recognized the phone when in fastboot usb mode, but update fdailed, cwm saif "security fail" ... sigh, seems I really blew it this time

Hi,
Start again using THIS GUIDE
Flash the boot.img from your ROM through fastboot.
Extra step 1 from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25587345
Be sure to use the boot.img from your ROM.
Then make a clean install of the ROM again.
Also, read that thread for the sake of understanding what you're doing.
There is NO need yet to flash an RUU.
Latest OTA comes with hboot 1.29 which is locked.
You might not be in the latest one, perhaps start with an RUU with.the latest fw (3.33).

thanks malybru & kgs1992 - tried that, and the 4ext touch recoery said both superwipe and the rom installed correctly.
but when rebooting the white screen with the green htc logo appears right away and nothing more happens...any idea? I may have messed up the kernel before, but when asked by ext4 recovery whether to flash a kernel, tried both custom and stock, none changed the problem with booting up
@Raven2k: Manually installing boot.img with fastbok seemed to help, at least I come over the white screen, am stuck with the beatsaudio logo right now - thanks so far =)

Hi everyone,
My battery is dying but for the moment i don't mind,I tried to fix the trouble by formatting/wiping everything in the Wipe/Format menu andnow my 4EXT Recovery Touch won't install anything...
The only things I can reach are SD Card, and the Recovery. What kind of files do I need to make everything right ?

Yes, and the i get the message "installation aborted"...
Now i'm even unable to go into recovery mode
EDIT: my device is now recognized as "***Unlocked***" but i can't go neither into the recovery mode or go further than the HTC logo when normal booting.
I tried the adb tools to flash a stock rom but my "adb devices" list is empty (even with every driver installed)

It's think the first thing you should try is to re flash a recovery via adb/fastboot.

- I wasn't able to reflash the recovery via adb (the operation succeed but nothing changed)
- After the RUU process my Sensation relocked itself
- the RUU process took about an hour (and solve my random battery drops)
- Everything's fine now, i have a stock sensation and will avoid to change something ANYMORE
Hi guys
I've looked everywhere for a solution. Maybe someone know another post that I might've missed.
My phone won't start, it keeps rebooting to the white HTC screen.
Right, now to the problem. Before this problem I had a custom ROM installed (Carbon 4.3) which was getting a few errors so I decided to restore it with clockworkmod from a previous backup. Now what this did is turned the device to ****Locked**** and S-ON .
So what I did next is use HTCDEV to unlock it. Well that bit worked but it's still S-ON.
Now it shows

I can still go in to Recovery and use the 4EXT recovery Touch (v1.0.0.4 RC3) and i managed to wipe everything including the SD as I already backed it up. After I installed a custom ROM (Blitz 4.0). Everything went well, finished installing successfully. After a reboot the phone won't start to the OS. It keeps looping to the White HTC screen (without even vibrating every time it reboots). So I can install any ROM but can't boot into it.
I even re-partitioned my SD thinking that the mSD was the issue but no luck.
Any particular advice how can I fix this?
Many thanks!
Go to recovery---> tools--->enable smart flash
And flash Rom it will work
OR
flash boot from Rom by fastboot command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
For kitkat Rom update 4ext recovery to latest o think its rc 6

Hi and thanks for quick reply.
I've tried the first method (but no luck)
Although second one worked like a charm! :good: Thanks for that. Now my next question is: If I want to install another ROM will it make the same problem? If yes then how do I get the from S-ON to S-OFF? Will the Revolutionary Utility help ,me or mess it up?
Thanks again. :good:

just to know enable smartflash exactly before flashing the rom
and yes you will have to do the same if smartflash fail again
if you want to S-OFF you have to flash stock rom first
then follow this guide

Hi,
So, I just wanted to root my HTC One SV and now i only have HTC screen.
I followed the tutorial to unlock the bootloader (on HTCDev) It's OK !
I wanted to install CWM, it crashed, so I took TWRP 2.7.0.0 and it works
I installed superuser
I re-boot ....... and then boot loop !!:crying:
I made several manipulation, factory reset, etc ....
and i try to flash boot.img (fastboot)
I have not tried to install a new ROM, I just wanted root access
there is a progress, now I'm stuck on the HTC sight, no other message.
if someone has an idea I'm interested in :fingers-crossed:
I am able to go into recovery. But i don't know how to install Dumlock on SD card, for example.

Sorry, I need some english lesson too.
Your english is fine
I think you only need to flash a stock 4.2.2 rom from TWRP, SuperSu.zip for root and the boot.img of this rom with fastboot.
Use the link in my signature and you will find all what you need, linked in my Index Thread.
"Merci" for my english...and the solution
I'll try this evening - I don't need to change the CID number ? I think my phone is branded with my operator
You can't chage it, as long as you don't have a running OS.
Only then you can get S-Off, which is needed to change CID.
So...
I had some problem
I can't wipe with TWRP 2.7.0.0, it shut down when i do
so i take TWRP 2.6.3.2 - it works
When i want to flash the ROM k2ul_4.2.2_3.11.401.1_stock_odexed_v3
E:Unable to mount 'int_sd'

I try again, it works, i don't know how
i use fastboot to flash the boot, OK
I reeboot the phone, everythings great
I shut down the phone, reeboot in recovery and flash the SuperSU, UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99
I reeboot the phone, and surprise......... boot loop
I flash the ROM again and that's all for this evening. The phone works now.:good:
