I need a ROM for my Samsung Exhibit 4G. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Come on people. I know you have some suggestions.
its best to try out a ROM and see what you like...if you don't like it, flash another ROM and give that one a try.

Yea true, but recommendations are always nice.
Is there still no ROM for the Samsung Exhibit I?
What's the best most stable rom? i'm currently on 2.3.4
They all are.
That's not proper to ask users to say 1devs work is better than another's
I'm sorry but is a very stable rom?

Just follow my lead and don't respond to crap like this, and the "Help me with everything because i'm too lazy to read" thread.
Yep, that's gonna get you far. Let me explain something to you.
There are about 5 of these exact threads that have been posted in the past 2 weeks alone. They all say the same thing, which you would see if you search a thread name before posting it.
What ROM you find the best depends on the user. Not everyone will agree on the best, I don't think. The best thing to do, is spend a few days on each one, then decide.
If you wanna stay on gb use barebones by antonx I've been using that and its very stable and fast and great battery

There is no best only best for you, and that depends on what you want and need.To find that out, read the first post of each rom and see what it offers, and if it has any known issues to know what is stable.

Hi there,
I know, this question has been asked previously, but the answer wasn't quiet clear.
I am looking for HTC SENSTION ROM with very limited features.
1) To be able to mak/receive calls
2) Check email and surf internet.
nothing else.
No sense what so ever.
Kill everything apart from the above list.
Can someone pelase help me find a such a ROM - Sensation.
Thanks in advance.
I can try to create one for you.
Let's see.

Edit: I think you should try this one. I've used it myself and it's working just fine. Why not try it.
IT doesn't actually belong in this forum but Cyanogen mod may be what you're looking for. Give it a shot and you'll see
Edit: You can do more stuff than what you listed above but I can assure you that it's one of the most stable and lightest ROMs out there

Thank you very much everyone. I am going to try the CM9 RC2 and see how it goes.

Best ROM/Kernel threads are not allowed on xda. Your best bet, and what everybody SHOULD recommend you do, is just keep trying different kernels until you find one that suits your needs. Everybody's usage patterns are different and what may work for some doesn't work for others. Nobody can tell you what's best for you because they don't know how you use your phone. So again, just try 'em out till you find one that works for you. It's not like flashing kernels is hard or time consuming, so go to town.

LiquidSmooth is an AOSP based ROM so it will work with AOSP based kernels.

Stop being lazy and read? The OP of a ROM thread will tell you if it's AOSP based or CAF. Same goes for kernel threads. The OP will tell you if it's made for AOSP or CAF ROMs. Next time put in the effort and do a little research for yourself instead of expecting people here to spoon feed you. If you're that worried about boot loops, just read for maybe 30 seconds and it wouldn't be an issue...

You're welcome. And fyi- it's damn near impossible to actually brick the N5 so you're safe. If it bootloops, flash another kernel. And make a nandroid before you start flashing, and you're fully covered.

We are allowing "best" threads for the time being. All XDA Rules still apply. If the conversation can be constructive, it will be allowed to stay.
Thanks,

Liquidsmooth has their own kernel in the Rom. They are using the kernel called UBER. So if you find that the kernel included with the Rom is not working well for you, you need to download the stock 4.4 kernel. I will find it and post a link here for you. You need to flash that. It will save you from other kernels conflicting with UBER kernels heavy optimizations.
Here is the stock kernel. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358542125

Yes but leaving the sticky saying "no Best" threads gives mixed messages.

Thanks for the heads up. The sticky has been removed.
This is a new policy change and it will take some time to remove stickies and other notices around the site.

Why the change? Best threads have always evolved into flame wars. Some kind of sociology experiment on XDAs part? I hope I'm proven wrong here and people can stick to objective facts rather than emotional based opinions.

But, seriously, take the time and try them out for yourself instead of posting silly questions. Make up your own mind on which is best.

This one is freshly updated is made by the best dev I know https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=50766&sort_by=date&sort_dir=DESC
Or this one https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24694152805483043
Both are smooth and faster than any rom even faster and far better than the stock.
