I have an HTC One X that is having some issues and I was hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
The phone is S-off, SuperCID 11111111, hboot 1.14, currently running Clean rom6.
The issues are....the touch panel will freeze randomly, the phone will reboot randomly, calls will hang...sometimes just continue ringing until you turn it off, when you try to connect to a pc via usb the "connected to htc one x" dialog box pops up over and over, adb commands return a "waiting for device" message, I can only create empty logcats, and others.
I did not post this in a the clean rom forum because I beleive the issue to be hardware because the issues persist from rom to rom, is this a hardware issue? Is there something I can do to correct the phones behavior?
I searched the forums and could not find a match for my issues so I apologize in advance if I missed a previous post~~
Thanks in advance
Ziolko
S-off then ruu. If problems are still occurring it's hardware.

got logcat
OK I was able to finally get a logcat if this helps...I don't really know how to read this, however i believe there are some problems reported within.

What's your software version?
Is your phone rooted?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
So, I'm running the original 1.73, I'm rooted and have managed to use a hex editor to change the cid but can only get it to take ROGER001. When I try 11111111, it goes back to CWS__001. Using CID getter app to verify. I have gotten the unlock token already just haven't unlocked anything yet. I was hoping I could get some insight before committing. I've looked through the forums but couldn't find anything specific enough to help. I did try using the one click method first but nothing changed. Thanks in advance for commenting.

From what you've posted you shouldn't have any trouble with the one click...
Do you have the latest drivers installed? Is htc sync running in the system tray?
What happens when you try running the one click super cid?
Is debugging turned on in settings > developer options?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
HTC sync not installed, I do have the latest drivers, and when I tried the one click, it said it was unable to extract files or something like that. Regardless, it should work when I manually change the cid through the adb, but it doesn't. Can I manage with the Rogers cid? Or should I continue for super cid?

I had a lot of trouble using the one-click tools and ended up doing it manually. Are you following the steps here and using HxD as your hex editor? I only recommend HxD because it is well tested to work with this process.

I am, that was the same page I used. Liked said I can change it, just not to 11111111. :banghead:

Delete whatever p4's you have on your PC/SD card. Start from scratch making sure it is the modified p4 that you are sending back.
The partition doesn't care what info you send to it, you could send hboot partition there and it will write successfully...brick the phone, but it will write it. So just double check your work and send the supercid p4 to the phone and reboot. It will stick
Ok so I deleted all the p4's on both my computer and my sd, I made sure everything ran as admin, double checked my work and...

I tried rebooting from adb, but it gave that device not found error, so I restarted my phone via power switch. I have voodoo root keeper, not sure if this is preventing anything. I can switch back to Roger cid no problem. Like I said earlier I have the unlock token and really just want to be able to install twrp for now. Any harm in just keeping Roger cid? Like I said I would love to have the genetic cid, but am content in just accomplishing a recovery flash. It is interesting why this isn't working. Thanks again.

I realized that the reason why the phone didn't reboot from adb was because I was still in the shell. I just changed it back to Roger cid and it rebooted fine.

Post a screenshot of the original p4...
I actually deleted that file last night.:banghead:

Now that s-off had been achieved, this is particularly frustrating. Any suggestions on where to turn? Any news on a work around for non super cid phones?
Free your mind!
i think there was some talk about a rogers workaround
My wife and others are always containing saying I don't sound well, or it gets staticy my wife has a new one x that doesn't have this issue. I was thinking about relocking and ruuing, and just wanted to make sure if I updated to 2.20 that I could reunlock. Or if anyone has any suggestions to try before I do this.

No I haven't. So if I ruu to 1.85 I can reunlock? I got my phone with 1.73 or whichever it was. And I haven't officially updated it ever. Lol.
Sorry for posting a question in general, had a long day at work.

You can still flash radio on 1.73 no need to update to 1.85

i'd try flashing another radio. maybe the 2.20 radio will fix your issues? in any case, it's easy to go back to the old one if it makes things worse.

1.85 had some bug fixes in it and is a better base imo. Not directly relating to your issue but just making an overall recommendation.

Just ruu'ed to 1.85, reunlocked and flashed twrp. Now I am copying my TiBu folder back to the sd card (Did a full sd card wipe). Will report back after I flash Viper, and report results. Thanks for the suggestion, just wanted to make sure it was safe to ruu still, lol.
radio isn't really the issue. More likely to be improved with dsp update. These are flashed with RUU as well. Let us know how it does.

Seems to be a lot better. I will try it for a few days and them report back. So far it seems better and I have noticed the static during call I use to get on my home network (edge) is gone.

Hi, I've looked around a bit and I can't find a post about this anywhere, so, I'm just asking, on my home screen, whenever I click downloads or something like Play Music or whatever, it's just specific apps, I just open it and then about three seconds later it closes, no error message, nothing. I've tried restarting my phone a number of times but it's the same problem over and over again please help. Thanks
I had the same problem while on the Jellybam ROM, and one of the Carbon builds. I couldn't find a solution other than flashing a different ROM.

What rom and what Hboot?
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
I would try to clear the cache or re installing. Especially with the carbon build being done by one person, it could have some bugs. Which version of carbon are you on?

I'm on stock jelly bean, my hboot is on 2.14. Oh and, my bootloader is unlocked, just not rooted yet

To be completely honest, I'm not sure how apps not opening could be a hardware issue but if it was software related, RUUing should have fixed it. Meaning it shouldn't be happening while stock.
I'd send it for warranty.

What the heck, now I can't even turn up ringtone volume it's stuck on silent. NAAAWWWW WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MAH PHONEEEE
After installing sense 5 zip from a source, first sense broke and then something went wrong with the radio ie whenever I restart my phone my phone doesn't pick up my network until I put it in aeroplane mode and then undo it. Anything I can do to correct this? On Viper XL 3.2.8. I have tried complete wipe and reinstalling plus the radio is not the stock but the one from Venom HUB 3.18. Tried a restore too. Thanks.

Based on his previous thread he started, his issue is that he flashed ViperXL 4.0 and is getting the Sense 5 signal drop issue. Which has nothing to do with this thread (5 month old thread about a much older version of the ROM, not the same issue). Which of course, is not the proper way to use this forum.
He was given guidance in that thread, but apparently has chosen to ignore it.

I had a problem that is described in the following :
UNFORTUNATELY THE PROCESS COM.ANDROID.PHONE HAS STOPED
Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
to fix this problem I re-root the device and re installed the Android Revulotion HD 22 ROM and BOOT.img.
The device worked fine for about an hour but then the messages popped up again and then the phone turned off by itself.
I managed to get the phone up back but it's stuck one the HTC quietly brilliant logo.
I described the whole problem from the begining cuz' I thought it's connected somehow.
Thank you for your help !
