No I haven't. So if I ruu to 1.85 I can reunlock? I got my phone with 1.73 or whichever it was. And I haven't officially updated it ever. Lol.
Sorry for posting a question in general, had a long day at work.

1.85 had some bug fixes in it and is a better base imo. Not directly relating to your issue but just making an overall recommendation.

Just ruu'ed to 1.85, reunlocked and flashed twrp. Now I am copying my TiBu folder back to the sd card (Did a full sd card wipe). Will report back after I flash Viper, and report results. Thanks for the suggestion, just wanted to make sure it was safe to ruu still, lol.
radio isn't really the issue. More likely to be improved with dsp update. These are flashed with RUU as well. Let us know how it does.

Once you're on the 2.20 firmware, your hboot has changed. You can't downgrade once you have the newest firmware. It just isn't possible. You would have to buy an entirely new phone and hope that it was on 1.85
Plus, if it WAS possible for HTC to flash 1.85 on it, couldn't we just run the RUU and do it ourselves? That's why it isn't possible. You will ruin the phone.

Hi guys,
I've read a lot about the HOX but most of the information here is from the At&t version. I have the Rogers one, so I know I can unlock the bootloader no problem. Although coming from firmware 1.94 do I need to do the steps where you flash the boot.img into fastboot before flashing the .zip from recovery. This has kept me going for a while, so now I'm asking
While I'm at it, about flashing radio…does the performance of one radio vs another has anything to do with the carrier you're with. This is a confusing part for me.
Alright thanks!!
What version is your hboot?
1.09 or 1.14

I have no idea if 1.11 applied write protection. Radio doesn't matter on your carrier
Try to flash a ROM through recovery. If you boot loop you will need to flash the boot.IMG in fastboot as well

Radios are more geographically dependent (what town you are in, maybe even what tower or towers), than anything else. Carrier doesn't matter much. I've read of some people mentioning carrier specific optimizations for some radios. But I haven't seen any significant difference in performance for say AT&T radios versus non-AT&T (I'm on AT&T).
It really just comes down to trial and error. Newer radios are a good place to start, but that isn't a silver bullet either. New radios sometimes make for better performance for some, worse for others.
i tried to install new ROM. It couldn't make a new tmp/update_binary to I rebooted to Fastboot. i think i accidentally installed a TEGRA 3 ROM....
Now my phone won't turn on, no LEDs come on.
HOWEVER, when plugged into my computer, the computer recognizes that something's been plugged in (with that du-doo) noise, but then quickly makes the (da-da-da) noise to inform me that the USB device isn't working.
Pwr+Voldown doesn't work
In Windows Device Manager I get Code 28 (wrong drivers) for some device called QHSUSB_DLOAD, but that might be something else.
Where do I go from here. I've searched for hours on this issue...
Were you on 2.20 firmware? Did you try to install ice cold jelly?
If both those are yes, you are screwed and now have an expensive paperweight.

Hello fellow XDA'ers!!!!
Does anyone have links on the flashing extra partitions for WiFi on other roms? I updated (big mistake) so now my WiFi does not work on any other roms, it only works on the stock rom!!! Any fixes anyone?
Help is much appreciated!

If you don't have links, or anything else about the extra partions, do you have any alternatives?
Thanks!

Nope not on T-Moblie and not even in the US lol. Ya I downgraded days after it come out which is way before JB come out and when JB did come out I flashed the radio and wifi partitions. I'm Viper 2 rom and see people have issue with wifi and it seem to be T-Mobile users so for a test today I flash the radio and wifi from the RUU that I last used which was when 4.0.4 come out and wifi still worked which make me believe there is something different in the wifi partition that T-Mobile uses and my guess for that is the wifi calling you have over there.
