I wanted to bump this to make sure we get an answer. I know that NTFS is a tricky file systems but I do remember finding an app that can handle reading that format. My past two sticks weren't locked, so root wasn't an issue. I'm interested also in the RK3188, but waiting for price to get in my range. You can probably just search for apps that can read NTFS.

go here http://www.flashmyandroid.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?880-Rockchip-RK3188 already root also custom Rom

Tokio 2.0

Hey guys.
A friend of mine won a Sega Tokio 2.0 tablet which is running ICS 4.0.4
Just wondering is it possible to root this device? Like a general root program maybe for ICS?
Also if it could be done then what kind of roms would I install? Again is there general tabet roms?
I know a fair bit about the basics but only ever used an galaxy S2 and S3 so there's always been plenty of specific info for these devices. Where as this tokio seems rare to get info.
Thanks

Tokio Smartphone
Similar problem , Tokio Smartphone won from Sega-prize , incompatible with Three network , wondering if there was a way of flashing rom to make it compatible with three
+1 for Tokia Smartphone.
It's actually a nice phone but I would like root.
Used driver from superoneclick and win 8 seemed to accept it.
Tried rooting it using SOC and Root by restore by binary but neither worked

[Completed] Rooting Xiaolajiao LA2-S

Hi all! I recently purchased a Xiaolajiao LA2-S from China, and didn't realise that you couldnt install Google Play onto it. To get it installed it seems I need to root the phone. I've tried several methods, including the paid version of One Click Root, with no success. (their support told me it couldn't be rooted) Has anyone got one of these phones and if so have you managed to root it?
It is currently running Android 4.4.4.
Regards,
Dean.
Further to this here are the basic specs:
Operating System: Android 4.4
CPU Processor: Marvell PXA1908 Quad-Core 1.2GHz
GPU: Marvell PXA1908

Tablet with Intel Atom CPU. Is it worth?

Hey,
how's the thing of custom roms for tablet with Intel Atom Z3735G Quad Core 1,33GHz processor?
Is it one time buy, sticked forever with tablet software or there is no problem with custom roms?

Most Intel based tablets have locked bootloaders, can't flash custom ROMs with locked bootloader. You need to verify whether you have a locked bootloader or not, then, even if you have an unlocked bootloader you'll probably have to search and experiment to find a compatible ROM because chances are that there isn't a ROM for your specific model.
I've tried searching for the same options on my Intel Atom (Baytrail) tablet but it's one with a locked bootloader. All I could do was use the script for temp recovery session for Intel tablets to root the device and install Xposed.

Thx, as it is hard on Atom CPU, I decided I'd go on MediaTek MT8382 CPU. I hope to find more roms on this tablet

You might not find specific ROMs but you can somewhat easily find a ROM for a similar MT8382 device and port it to work on yours, many members here do that with their MTK devices. There are plenty of people with experience doing that on this site, just gotta find them.

I'm having the same problem. I bought my Neocore E1 about a month ago. And Just bought mem card and Nvidia game controller to play WOT BLITZ. Any keymapping apps I've tried need root. In desperate need of help to get these up and running.

Can't expect much when you buy cheap, unknown crap. Devices like that are a waste of time and money because there is no software support for them and because those are not the kinds of devices that developers create anything for.
That's what you get for buying a cheap, unknown Chinese device expecting it to be a decently useable device, they are never worth it and developers don't buy them or waste their time to support them.

Is the device rooted? If not, link2sd isn't an option.
