I know its also good but I made this thread for the class 10 SD Cards
Class 6 SD cards are known to be optimum and bug free. Even though class 10 sd cards are faster, you won't probably be able to use the extra write speed on a phone. That kind of thing is good for a zero shutter lag camera. But if you insist on a class 10, san disk and transcend ate the way to go as san disk is quality ,plus they own the sd card patent and transcend is value for money. Plus, you can probably get a transcend from any local mallu run shop

Which brand is perfect with no errors for the p500,
Is transcend Ok, without any reported problems???
cuz with transcend i have 2 options:
1) 8GB class 10
flipkart.com/mobiles/memory-cards/itmczcrqjfnkzhmr?pid=acccz4ffp9czdseh[/url]
2) 16GB class 4
flipkart.com/mobiles/memory-cards/itmczcrqpdjzzqy7?pid=acccz4ffdsujg99j
which shall i go for ?
That's actually a nice price for the class 10, but 8 is too little if you listen a bit of music. I just moved to a 16 Class 4, I'd say get a Class 6 is you can find one.
I have that Transcend 8GB and no error in past three months. It takes some time to load apps after boot (I have lots of apps on SD natively without a2sd scripts), but as it's about 5 to 10 seconds it's okay.

I went ahead an ordered the 8GB.. sadly the 16GB class 10 is out of stock here
i use 8gb class 6, transcend
My advice for memory is never buy off Ebay, I got mostly defective memory chips ( found out from testing with h2testw ) before I stopped wasting my time and got a 32GB class 10 Lexar. It's a great card and I've had good results from the Lexar brand. (Sandisk is also an excellent choice)

I picked up two kingston 8gb class 10 cards off of kingstons website for $18.99 each (on sale) with free shipping about two weeks ago. They have been just fine.
Works just fine with an Apacer class 4 8gb. It was cheaper than Transcend or Kingston.

Same, just using a class 4 Sandisk 8gb card that came with my phone when I bought it off the store. No problem with it (don't find it slow) but my music collection IS starting to fill up the space pretty quick (I blame FLAC) so I'm thinking of a new card.
What does everyone here think? Does an increased in class level make the phone any quicker?
For memory cards and flash drives I never buy anything other than PNY.
adata for me.

Who wants one of this???
I've used a Transcend 4GB/Class6 and a Kingston 8GB/Class10 on my Optimus One.
Here are some minor problems i encountered with the Kingston Class10
1. Erratic behavior whenever I create an EXT partition (for Ungaze Data2SD or DT-App2SD purposes)
2. Using Antutu to benchmark the speed, it seems Optimus One tops at speed of 8MBps or Class8. Please confirm if you have a Class10 SD...
i was going to make a topic about this, but this seems like the appropriate thead to post...
i bought a microsd 4 gig class 4 from the source (nexxtech brand) and was screwing up my phone left right and center. i was originally using a 1 gig sd (not sdhc) and works better.
what the hell....

I'm using Transcend 8 Gb Class 10 card. SD Card write speed is 10 MB/s & read speed is 17 MB/s as per Antutu.
I read somewhere that LG P-500 is not compatible with class 4 & 6 cards for more than 4GB you need class 10 only. It seems to be very weird.

I think it's time we have some type of database of benchmarks for microSDHC cards on our Sensations. Sure... it's easy to find some online for certain cards but some people put them in adapters, USB 3.0 readers, different phones, etc. This list will hopefully be specific for our Sensations.
Software neededCrystalDiskMark
SD Tools (Android)
Testing Parameters
Use your Sensation as the testing drive
Please don't use a uSD to SD adapter or anything like that. If we keep this the same with everyone, we can better compare cards
Empty uSD card
CrystalDiskMark Configuration
x32 or x64
5 tests at 50 MB (majority of files on our Sensations are < 50MB)
Reporting Results
Screenshot (preferable if possible - i use imgur)
microSDHC card size, stated class, and manufacturer (ie. 32GB, Sandisk Class 4)
microSDHC File Format, File Cluster Size (ie. Fat32, 32k)
How much of the card has data (ie. 50% full)
Sensation Android version (ie. ICS 4.0.3, etc)
Benchmarks as of 4/19/2012
Alright, I'll get this started.
I used the Sensation to format the card and WinXP x32 (will try on Win7 x64 if there's a difference).
Samsung uSDHC 32GB class 10
Format: Fat32, 32k clusters -Sensation Formated

Win7x64 Adata 8GB Class6 4k cluster

Win7x64 Samsung 32GB Class10 32k cluster
Win7x64 Samsung 32GB Class10 16k cluster
Win7x64 Adata 8GB Class6 32k cluster -accidentally deleted image but it was slower than 4k by 0.2 to 0.3
Win7x64 Adata 8GB Class6 4k cluster
Win7x64 Kingston 8GB Class4 32k Cluster
Win7x64 Kingston 8GB Class4 4k Cluster
I'll enter this soon, but it appears that the older 8GB microsdhc cards are pretty quick. It's that they began to slow down as they became larger. It would be interesting to see how 16gb and other 32gb cards do.
It also appears that the smaller cluster sizes benchmarked better than the larger cluster sizes... i'm not sure what's the benefit of larger cluster sizes then...
Only thing that kinda troubles me is the big discrepancy between testing the Samsung 32GB class 10 32k microsdhc on WinXPx32 and Win7x64. Not sure why this is the case.

ymirsson, I think that tweak is good for SD Tools and general Android things. ARHD is set at 1024. I'm not certain how much this would mask an insufficient card at something like recording 40 mbps video. You should check to see what AOKP b29 has it set at.
CDM can test the card pre-tweaks.

Now worries. The manufacturer should be printed on the card itself... just make sure to update your post the next time you open it up
Any idea on how full your card is? the amount of free space definitely effects speeds.
4.6 write... you should be able to record video at 20 mbps with the camera mod but it will probably stutter if you tried the ultra camera mod (40 mbps)
Thanks for answer :-D Big problem was i never never never turn off my mobile, didnt know about the brand!

Class 10 is the fastest micro SD card for now, but the htc engineer does not suggest that we use it because it could lead to some unknown error.
Class6 is enough.
32GB is supported by Desire S.
The purchase of the brand, Samsung is not a good choice because their indicators are virtual.
That's my personal opinion,just for reference.

Sandisk 32GB class 10 or Kingston
When you test a lot of roms (as beta tester), different tools or apk skinned, you need some space and faster w /rw
You could find this class of sdcard not really expensive, you must search a little.
i think people are exaggerating with these SD card classess.. my advice is that class4 and a quality brand should be enough for everyone. in fact you can have a class10 card from a noname manufacturer and the actual speed is same as class4 and a good brand. good brands are all that actually manufacture the chips. they are toshiba and sandisk/samsung. if you buy a sony, nokia or similar, you also buy those mentioned before, only rebranded. there is much written about this on the web, but in general: if you can't afford a 16gb class10 sandisk and they are trying to sell you same spec kingston for half of this price, it does mean something!

sd card class
mean of Class of sd card is about speed that sd card have.
class 2 = 2 mb/s
class 4 = 4 mb/s
class 6 = 6 mb/s
class 10 = 10 mb/s
the best is class 10.
the phone can damage the sd card if it cannot reach the minimum speed of sd card
i put a sd card class4 in an old samsung mobile , after only one day the sd card damaged , the sd card was adata so its not fault of manufacturer
I`m sorry if i`m wrong but isn`t MicroSD limited to 4 GB and MicroSD HC is better and higher capacity but incompatible with Samsung Fit ?!

Currently, the SD Association recognizes two Speed Classes: “Speed Class” and “UHS Speed Class.”
==========================================================================
Speed Class applies to SD, miniSD, microSD, SDHC, miniSDHC, microSDHC, SDXC and microSDXC cards. These are denoted by a class number within a C-shaped logo. The higher the class number, the faster the card. In order to bear the SD Speed Class logo, card manufacturers have to adhere to the minimum standards set out by the SD Association.
=============================================================================
Class Minimum performance
Class 2 2 MB/sec
Class 4 4 MB/sec
Class 6 6 MB/sec
Class 10 10 MB/sec
Class 2 is the slowest SD card speed. Class 2 has a write speed of about 2 Mb/s and is suitable for standard definition video recording. Class 4 and Class 6 have write speeds of about 4 Mb/s and 6 Mb/s, respectively, and can be used for HD video recording. Class 10 SD cards have write speeds of 10 Mb/s and up and are designed to operate under the high speed bus interface. Beyond Class 10 is the UHS Speed Class. UHS stands for ultra high speed and includes cards that have speeds up to 312 Mb/s. The UHS speed class logo includes a number contained within a U-shape.
Generally, if you want to shoot HD video or if you plan on taking a lot of high-resolution photos in quick succession (or use a digital SLR's RAW image file format), buy a Class 10 card. If you're planning to just take snapshots or occasionally show videos, Class 4 or Class 6 will do.

I bought a SanDisk Micro-SDHC Ultra Android 8GB, Class 10 and i can say that make a hole lot difference in speed and performance then my old 2GB class 4 card. Although the phone limits the card perfomance ( i tested on S2 vs Fit) but still is an improvement
