ok,so i have been facing this problem since months now and couldnt find any solution to it..here it goes
1. my phone is connected to the charger showing 58 percent batt. and i reboot my phone while the phone is still charging
2. after reboot the battery surprisingly
shows 79%....
3. if i reboot it once again,it goes upto 98%. :what: :what:
This results in a fast battery drain.. :banghead:
So,any solutions...?? And is anyone else facing this problem??..or its just me!

I cannot find a solution but the possible reason is it takes the additional power stats from ongoing charging and boosts the battery percentage while booting up.. I face the same problem, so i reboot it with charger disconnected.

I think it is not necessary and that is not good. Usually this is done 2-3 times per year. As long as the battery is normal, no need. It is well after each install ROM to remove the battery for about 5 minutes.

No, it's not officially dead. Devs are not able to boot it.. As of now cuteprince is trying to make the USB work.. If it works some progress can be made according to devs

We cant do anything because the phone itself doesnt boot.. As you probably know, the kernel gets loaded before the ROM, so when we try to boot 3.x kernel, it doesnt boot only.. So we cant do anything except watch.. We have to remove battery to even stop it.. So thats where we are stuck.. And SD card cant really help until we get into recovery or ROM itself.. So USB is our only bet(or we can try slowing those messages down)..
Try it yourself.. I am putting the kernel here.. Go to fastboot mode, then do :
Code:
fastboot boot boot-3.x.img
Do NOT run :
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.3-x.img
Otherwise you'll have to reflash everything..

I do agree with you on battery point. Well he already written he is using Stock ROM GB 2.3.3.
@ayazm.140895
Check your GPS also, as It can drain your battery faster. And also try to check your battery health (means how old its is?).
One more thing I want to say kernel also play a fair part in performance and battery backup. So you can try and check with different kernel.
Guys, I'm using Franco kernel#4 and I can't unmount my sdcard after turning on usb mass storage device and when I disconnect the usb cable, my phone doesn't recognize my sdcard. I have to reboot my phone to access my sdcard on my phone. Nowadays I get a “sdcard removed error“. I have to reinsert my sdcard. My battery is almost 1and 1/2 years old. I have 24 wake-ups from android (system itself)

Well here's what spending the battery will do -
If your battery us damaged, then it would be puffed and hence battery will spin easily and if battery is alright, then it will not spin as it wouldn't be puffed out .
Simple as that X_X

Hmm,
Are you sure your using official HTC Charger ? And you don't overcharge your battery ?
Basically I guess 2 months ago I had this same problem of overheating .
I showed it to some htc officials and they told me to
Never use an unofficial charger
And never overcharge your battery for long
Even if this dosnt helps then try changing your Rom as all are saying , I would suggest you flyrom v3 as it worked for me good.
Don't try flashing sense4 by derefas (build #7) or apex sense rom as I've tried flashing both and they don't work on class4 sd card (reboots after every 5-6 seconds )
And if after changing your Rom, issue isn't solved then PM me I'll upload my CWM backup of stock Rom on dropbox. You may try it and then post your result here ,
Thanks
