BreakDroid 0.6.7 Mac Auto Root / Android Tools 6-17-13

Version 0.6.7 is up for download (no new root options)
Added general android tools:
Rebooting the device
Rebooting in to Recovery
Backing up your photos to your Mac
Fixing File permissions
Version 0.6.5 is available at the website.
- Updated the Recovery to TWRP 2.2.2.1 for the Kindle Fire
Version 0.6.4 changes
- Changed Kindle Fire recovery to TWRP.
- Updated Kindle Fire bootloader to FireFireFire 1.4a
- Added Kindle Fire recovery and bootloader updater for user who just want to update to the latest versions.
BreakDroid is a work in progress. My goal is to make a tool for Mac users that will root several different android phones and tablets as well as install the android sdk (adb).
It is very important to note that I only made the tools to automate these processes. All the developers of the root exploits and recoveries are listed below.
Current supported Devices-
Kindle Fire - Tested Version 6.2.2., 6.3 & 6.3.1
Galaxy Nexus - Seems to work. Tested with version 0.4.2+
Galaxy Note - Needs more testers - Will only work on some notes.
Droid Razr - Should also work on other Droid branded phones
All phones that can be rooted by GingerBreak
All phones that can be rooted by psneuter
All phones that can be rooted by zergRush - has been tested and works on many devices. vCheck the comments on the download page.

It has not. That is what I wrote it for though. If your brave enough try it. It shouldn't do any damage either way. Never 100% sure though.

The Droid Razr has been fully tested and works.

The download is fixed, thanks for the heads up.
I'm almost positive it can't ruin your device. I ran the Galaxy note app on a different phone about 10 times yesterday to see if it would work with no adverse effects. I can't guarantee anything but I'm pretty sure you'll be okay.

Not needed. Just open the app from the disk image and follow the instructions. Let me know if it works for you.

I am on a business junket. I will install it sat, for if i brick my phone, I will loose my contact data albeit on a temp basis. I will let you know results when completed. . . just being cautious.

Done that manually to test the other options.
√ Install recovery downloads and installs 5.5.0.4 recovery just fine and reboots to it right away.
√ Install root files does what it says, easy and painless.
And... I think that's all, I think it's kinda anoying that everytime you perform one of the steps a new browser window opens with the Paypal donation site, you may want to do that only when quitting the script or something.

Hey guys, as the title above I want to share how to play the line pop on rooted device (an abnormal use of device has been detected) I don't know if it will work on every device, but mine works perfectly, also at my rooted galaxy gio.
So here's the quick easy guide
Must have apps:
Root explorer
Supersu (if you don't had one means you can play)
How to do:
-go open root explorer
-go to folder system/app
-find superuser.apk and rename it whatever you want (weirduser, smartuser, etc)
-go to superuser at the drawer
-disable the super user
Done, just restart your phone and try the line pop.

Notice: for the newest line pop version, this trick can't be done again, for a while please rollback if you want to play, I will soon find a way to play it again with rooted device, thanks

Just download the line pop first, you will see why I make this thread. or if you to lazy will post it for you than.
Edited: see the first post, and please read it carefully, I don't want to spam this thread by "an question with not trying first"
And for return it to normal, just enable the super user, you don't have to change the name again.

Actually if you wanna try, you can remove root checker with apktool or else
May i create new thread for this ? because i have the playable version for root device without renaming Supersu

No is not, see the second Screenshot? I used root explorer while playing the line pop, no probs at all or force close, I have not find any problems using my method, after play just re enabled the superuser apps from the apps it self, and poof back to normal.
But if you had another good solution, feel free to share i just figure it out this by my self yesterday, and please pm me the thread link, I wanna try it also, and thanks for helping, I finally find dev that helping not cornering or something x.x

I just made a CWM flashable zip so that the xda people can grab their hand on it !
I will make flashable zip for all upcoming version ...or you can just update it through Play store !!!

then if i deny it forever its keep trying which make the phone laggy like ***** then the system totally crashed

Did you by any chance checked the Declared Permission: Only allow requests from apps that declare android.permission.ACCES_SUPERUSER ?
This part of the app is under construktion, since no app to date has this permission declared.
Unchecking this should help... I guess

Hope you can help me with a problem.
Superuser couldn't ´t update several times. So tried to update trough Clockworkmod. I flashed it as a udate.zip. Since that i can´t access SD-Cart anymore.
Do you have a solution for that?

The PPL who want this SU, should havê unnistall the old, then flash the zip...

I have NOT flashed yet, but I just looked at the updater script and there were no commands to mount or delete preload, so going on a limb I would say it is safe to flash :good:
Edit: Below are typical lines you would normally have if it would delete the SD card data
ui_print("@Wiping Preload ...");
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p25", "/preload");
delete_recursive("/preload");

I saw there was a new update - but when I downloaded it - it looks like it is the same rom I originally downloaded when you first released it.
The download is labeled ProModRom - and the MD5 listed works on the original file I downloaded yesterday.
SO - I am confused - is this the new update or has it not been uploaded ? Would the MD5 number be the same for the new update as it was for the original rom?
When I first downloaded it was simply ProModRom and that is what appears to be available for down load now too - ???

Yes,this z4root is same like Framaroot and other root application!This z4root have permanent root and temporary root.You can choose whatever you want in this application!

That's mean maybe your sony xperia did not support this z4root!But Have you try another root application like:Framaroot or TowelRoot?

Z4Root only can root some device only!But SuperSU will root almost 90% device and i will post SuperSU tommorrow

You should provide info stating it won't work on anything past GB/ICS (for some phones)
SuperSU is not a root method, its simply the app used to control which app get SU permission.

I also have try z4root in my another device but never work too!
When i click root,it will force close itself and your device will become very lag!
If you have this problem too,try to go to setting,application manager then force stop the z4root quikly

OK so I take it you're not the Dev of this app.
Well here is a little info.
1.st Z4Root was abandoned because it DOESNT WORK on anything with Gingerbread or newer.
2.nd Z4Root was used as a temp root method to flash recovery to then flash SU, it is NOT a permanent root method.
3rd. This app will cause BRICKS due to its incompatibilities with any phone running newer software (GB+)
4th. You're not the dev of this app why post it?
5th. You should put a big disclaimer about the proper use of this app and provide the correct info on which phones it will work and it will not work.
6th also state there will be no support for this app since you're not the developer and it's been abandoned by the actual developer.

SuperSU DOESNT ROOT PHONES
Youre not the dev of this app. Stop trying to steal work.

i also have bricked my phone !
but i will use odin and use stock firmware to make my phone become stock and i want to root my phone back!
I only got use CWM+SuperSU then my phone has been rooted!
