[Q] One X stuck in boot loop, can't access fastboot. Help! - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I rooted my AT&T One X with minimal trouble today, and when I went to install a ROM it installed fine, but restarted into a bootloop. I am having trouble getting into bootloader. Has anybody ever seen this happen?

At least a hundred times, there's a hundred threads as proof.

Just going to go on a limb and ask, are you familiar with fastboot? If not, then rooting is not for you. I see it in your title, but you must be doing it wrong. That is all.
I so want to say "Have you tried taking out the battery?" But that would be just wrong...

Ok, I do not mind helping. But I need to know if you know what fast boot means, and if you know how to actually get into the boot loader. If not, look in my sig, and click "Rooted" it will take you to another site, and show you a DETAILED video on what to do. It is important that you have the correct adb/fastboot files set up. A download link is also on that site as well.

Press and hold power until the bottom buttons blink a few times and the screen goes black.
When the screen goes black let go of power and press and hold volume down until the bootloader comes up.

On all of the videos, I need to have fastboot load, but it won't. I hold down volume down+power and nothing will happen except I keep getting the device connected and then device disconnected sounds on my PC over and over. When I try to send commands through cmd, it just says <waiting for device> and doesn't connect.

You're not very clear on what's happening? On your phone can you get into the bootloader or not?
One step at a time.

I've read up on the topic a little more and I think I'm pretty much screwed, but I'll try to explain it better.
The device won't go into fastboot mode or I would have had it fixed a long time ago. Holding the power+down volume does nothing but make the 'device connected' and 'device disconnected' sounds go off over and over very quickly on my PC. It isn't responding to commands both when it's turned off and when it's in the boot loop.
So no. No bootloader.

Ok and the screen and buttons are black?

Hard Bricked Samsung Galaxy S 4G...Please help..

Hi, everyone, I've recently HARD BRICKED my Samsung Galaxy MODEL: T959V with T-mobile.
First off, I got pattern locked on my phone, yea I know I'm an idiot, LOL. Next I totally forgot my gmail password so I could not log back into my phone.
So then I next decided to flash back to stock with odin 1.7 and T959UVJFD. tar file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1047087.
As a result, my phone would boot to the loading screen with the dashed circle and a battery display in the background and thus would not finish booting all the way.
So I figured I would do more research and found that people would try flashing with the Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...833024&page=49 and after flash back to stock.
After I flashed with the Eugene rom this was when the phone completely died and would not turn on. I tried the take out the battery, holding down and up volume button and plugging into computer method but the computer would not detect it anymore.
Now I don't know what to do. I realized I was flashing with the Galaxy Vibrant kernels with Odin and now, it won't turn on anymore and can't boot into download mode. It is also not being detected my computer when I plug it in. I'ts a blank screen.
Please help.. Thanks, and appreciate it.
Unfortunately, you won't get much sympathy for that. Here's some info for you though.

Hello!! I bricked my gs4g, couldn't put it in download mode with the regular bottoms combo, so what I did was:with the phone off push volume bottoms, both in the same time nothing else, then connect your phone with the computer(usb), that gave me download mode

HELP! bricked my S3?

Hello I just signed up because I'm panicking, I just tried to root my s3 and it is completely unresponsive now. It is just off like the battery is bone dead cant get into download or anything. I was following this youtube video up until about 2:25 and it never rebooted, just stayed blank. I've tried unplugging the battery and doing volume down home and pwr button and it does nothing. Is it toast or salvageable? I don't understand what I could have done wrong following the video exactly...
The video is the second one that comes up on Youtube if you search "how to root gs3 verizon" (I can't post links yet because I'm a noob)
I've looked up how to unbrick but all require you to ut it in download mode, I cant even get there...
Thanks for any help you guys have!
I posted this on s3 forums too trying to get help asap ;(
Which youtube video were you following?
Not all root methods apply to all variants of s3's, there should always be caution to this. You can easily brick your device if you used the international root method or such.

Did you accidentally place the file in the Bootloader or Phone section of Odin? If so then that would surly brick you phone.

Word of advice don't go to YouTube go here, rootwiki or any sites that gives you proper directions for rooting. I have rooted my phone seven months ago and never had problems with the original method when I had ICS nor the new method for jellybean.

HTC One X won't boot / turn on after flashing Kernel.

I was on Evita Sense 5 Port ROM and flashed ElementalX 6
I went with the default options in aroma, but at 1.7ghz and selected a lower voltage (one above) the default option.
And now my phone wont turn on.
WHen I charge it ,theres no red light that comes on.
I've tried holding down the buttons
I've already posted in the ROm thread..
But I dont want to fill it all up about my issues you know..and I feel like I'd get much better help here if it has its own thread.
I got an advice about letting it sit plugged in for a while until the light comes on, which is what Im doing now...
But for the time being, if anyone there has any other tip/solutions?
Oh and yes ,Ive searched :X

I bricked mine mucking about with partitions. Got a new one from Telstra.
If you can't get it to start neither can AT&T, so no-one will be able to see if it's unlocked/rooted.
Some will say it's dishonest, but you could just go and take it to them and say 'it won't turn on'. Not really a lie is it?

When I plugged it in it downloaded drivers /files and it said QUALCOMM US LOADER something
It seems they never found a fix ?
Idk if Jtag would be an option ..

There is no fix because there's no way to reach the phone to reflash the messed up partition table without the proper tools (jtag).

Hmm,sigh,one problem after another.
Cant go through this if the link to DL the unbrick_evita.zip file is dead.
Anyone have this file?:/
I just had the same issue except my kernel choices where 1.7ghz, 327mhz min, normal voltage, no gpu overclock, s2wake, dt2wake, and zram.

unbrick_evita.zip
Does anyone have this file available? I'm hard bricked, black screen, no power lights. Following the "Unbricking evita" thread but need this file to continue.
TIA

Thank you very much! It worked!!!
I just decided to send mine into HTC since their warranty still covered it, its already being sent back and it only took literally two weeks. Not sure if they just fixed the same phone or sending me a new one but they handled it extremely fast and the customer support was great.
