i used lg esteem root just google it...works fine but im trying to figure out why i cant boot my custom recovery???

Okay i see thats the reason of no rooting in this software
You have to flash v10b or v10c via kdz updater then try to root and you well be done
How can i do that and if there's a link can u post it plz

You must download the kdz from pc to flashed via kdz updater on pc and every stuff is done on pc not the phone.

on step 6 i cant find modems in it so will my phone get bricked ? and i cant extract the file soo i can use the kdz

Where is the step 6 ? and you must flash the KDZ file via KDZ updater not to extract it and flash
