[Q] Help please! Stuck on installing new ROM - Asus Transformer TF700

hello first time posting.
I've been looking through the forum for 2 days and couldn't find answers so here I am.
I have Asus TF700 and I have decided to try new ROM.
I've successfully unlocked my device and installed TWRP 2.5.0.0
I didn't know what I was doing and accidentally full wiped internal storage. (I don't think I have back up)
I have micro SD card installed and I copied over many roms such as Clean ROM, ASUS Stock 4.2.1, and CM10
I read the instruction and tried to install any of em but they all freeze at ASUS screen. (CM10 loads but it's stuck at install screen over and over)
Did i miss a step? what am I doing wrong? I just want it to work again, at this point I don't care what custom rom I use.
I have laptop with SD slot so I can copy any custom roms to my micro SD so transferring files isn't issue.
Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english.

I suggest to do a full wipe and flash cromi from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223492
Don flash cm10 cause it's not working yet for the new bootloader.

I think i've seen this issue already and if i'm right then you will need to flash an original Asus rom from microsd (this will install the stock recovery too wich is needed in order to recover your data/media partition) and after the installation is done go to the bootloader menu (power +volume down) and select Wipe Data, that should fix your partition.
Let us know...

ok I've been researching for while and so basically I need to download
ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T Firmware: V10.4.4.20 Only for US SKU (Android 4.1.1)-2012.11.07 update-md5: b06ff04ba888435f744f3c85ec0c6256 - size: 456MB
and put em on my microSD
then run TWRP and install this from there?
am I missing any other step?

I had this problem once, a complete 100% wipe should solve it, just remove your Micro SD card, and wipe Cache, Dalvic, System, and internal, then shut down, reinsert MSD card and try installing then. I am unsure if wiping internal storage will wipe the whole thing(rom and all) or not.

I also have had many devices and that was the solution. Left over files can kill a install...

[Problem] Please help me with a restart problem! InsertCoin ROM - New PG58IMG firm

In first place, i have a InsertCoin ROM, concretely "Insert Coin Sense 2.3.5 Sense 3.5 v3.4.6".
Now, when i want to install the new ICS vesion of InsertCoin, i read on thread that i need to update the firm, with this (mediafire.com/?utpdjggalstxz)
I just installed it, and now, my HTC restart again and again. I have tried to go into the bootloader by pressing VOLUP+POWER but it isnt work.
Please, i need help.
edit: i have downloaded the firm from the htc, and i have moved it with "ES explorer"... (the zip could be corrupt, but now what can i do?)
[Please forgive me if I have any gramatical error, im spanish. THK]

Yes, i tried that, but nothing...
How did you try to flash that PG58IMG? It has to be a Zip file and has to be flashed via Hboot. Just put it on your sd card, turn your phone off and start it again by pressing vol. down and power. Confirm, reboot to recovery, flash rom, be happy.
[I would do a fullwipe and format sd card before flashing ICS, that does magic to me. After formating sd card, toggle to usb storage and put your rom on sd card]
Your phone is probably bootlooping because the new 3.24 firmware is not compatible with the rom you have on your phone.
You need to get the new IC 4.4.3 rom onto your phone, boot into recovery and install it. Then you'll be fine.

Yes, that is that i have done. The only thing that i didnt know is that the firm installation delete my rom. Now i need to install a new rom.
But i would like to know something before, could i to reinstall my old rom without doing any wipe? I would like to do some backups of some apps data before wipe all. Is this possible?

You have to flash the old Hboot, 1.17 or 3.12 i think. But the new ICS works only with 3.24
But you shoudn't restore anything, brings only new problems... make a full wipe and format everything before flashing, even sd card

Since I'm too new to post in the Development section and didn't want to start a new thread, I'll ask here..
I'm running ICS 4.4.2. The latest version 4.4.3 just got released. Do I need to do a full wipe to upgrade?
and also, If I was to upgrade to 4.4.3, should I select "upgrade from zip" or "install from zip"?
1) Full wipe is not necessary. I would clear the cache, though.
2) Install from zip

flashing back to stock rom. Update: Bricked?!?! Update 2: Unbricked :)

Hey all,
I've tried the various custom rooms out there and I'm looking to flash back to stock rom. Is there a tutorial how to do this. I also noted that when flashing between roms the files in the directory don't get wiped and are still there? Is there a way to flash to all original tf300t like the day I first bought it?
Thanks!
Ok I think I may have screwed up my transformer.
I remembered I made a backup using twrp recovery and tried to restore it (all the options were checked for the restore: boot, system, data, recovery).
After the reboot it gets hung up on the asus sign with the swirly circles. I can still get to recovery so I tried to flash back to one of the custom roms (aokp build 38) but it gets stuck in the loading screen as well. Arggg.
Any suggestions? Is it bricked?
Ok, I did a factory reset and that looks like it fixed the problem.
Now back to my original question, does anyone know how to load everything back to stock?
yes, I am interested in this as well. Backed up my first stock rom before I rooted, and then after I rooted, and am ready to start flashing but wanna take the proper precautions. Thanks for you guys help
i have the same issue... i flashed aokp, but as i tried to restore my stock rom, it freezes at the second asus sign...
but, when i restore, and do a factory reset like the op, i can see the android welcome screen, but when i select my language, he reboots...
for me this worked.
1. get the latest .30 firmware from the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1697227.
2. copy to the sd card.
3. reboot to recovery.
4. wipe
and then flash zip and wait.
Anyone know if I can do this through twrp?

RUU Stuck. Help?

A few days ago I was in the process of changing roms. I was using clean rom 4.5 beta. During the process I accidentally hit Factory Reset on the bootloader menu. I then proceeded to change roms but all of my sdcard data was erased and I cannot mount the sdcard at this time to put a new rom on there. I tried RUU (currently running 1.85, tried updating to 2.20) to no avail because I always get stuck at the sending screen for hours. I've emailed a few devs already who could'nt help, I also busted my ass searching forums and googling crap :crying: Any ideas ?
Do you have a recovery installed? Clockworkmod has been known to have some issues with the onex. I would recommend flashing TWRP in bootloader.
It may say in TWRP that you cannot select the sd for mounting. However if you check your PC, should still show up and may also ask for you to fomat the drive. Its ok to format fat32 since you've allready wiped. If your running linux or Mac. I'm affraid I'm no help at all.

Sorry Just got home from work noticed your update. looks like your back east? Maybe too late for you. Any who, once you put your rom on the SD card then go to install, Under the TWRP file you should find the ROM.

Restoring From Blank Slate

Hey guys:
I recently wiped my tab clean because it kept bootlooping, but I accidentally wiped my ROM as well as my storage. So right now, my tab is stuck at the unlocked screen, and I'm not sure what could have caused the bootloop problem in the first place.
Rooted, unlocked, running CleanROM 2.7.2 with Data2SD and Clemsyn kernel. I kept fsync enabled precisely so that my system would be more stable, but it appears not to be the case. Right now, my priority is flashing any OS/ROM onto my tab so I can get it to start booting. Any help? I'm really hoping this isn't a brick scenario.

Can you still access recovery? From recovery I've able to reload the stock update files which extract and load a blob that completely rewrites my system.
If not, can you access fastboot? Load it into fastboot and then re-install a recovery, and then from there use that to either install the update or reload your rom.

I can still access recovery, but am not sure how to or which stock files I'm supposed to extract. I've been looking into fastboot right now, but don't have the SDK installed on my computer and frankly, I'm just not sure what to do with it.
Ideally, accessing the stock files and loading a blob would be the best solution, but I'm unsure how to proceed. Thanks for the advice, as I'm frantically trying to find a solution as the tab won't shut off and I'm afraid it's going to overheat.

I don't understand your issue, if you still can access your twrp, then just reflash your cleanrom 2.7? If you want to bypass data2sd for now, just flash clemsyn_data2sd kernel, you should able to boot up.

Like a fool, I wiped both internal and external storage. So I don't have the zips or backups I had on my sds. I've tried removing the sd and putting backups and zips I have on my computer, but TWRP doesn't recognize the device since I have no OS.

make sure you format your sdcard with fat32 using your pc, then copy the rom zip file on to it, make sure your device if OFF,put the sdcard back into your device, boot up into twrp, select mount and and put a check on everything, then try to install, it should see your zip file.

Did you flash GAPPS?
Also, did you factory reset in CWM?
I personally like EOS4 (4.2.2) preview 181 for now.
Does Rogue Recovery see the microSD slot?

Yes, in Rogue Recovery you can use the internal storage and the SD card. Another thing that may help is to redownload the rom. There may have been a small bug from downloading. If you wipe data, flash the rom then gapps you should be just fine.
Get an up to date recovery as well.
