[MOD] Lockscreen Mod, including SystemUI changes - RAZR i Themes and Apps

Hi there,
I decided to share some changes I made to the UI, mostly to the Lockscreen as I didn't like Moto's icons.
This is "take it or leave it" If you don't agree to the things I like, please do it by yourself or leave this package alone.
This is a CWM-package, install it from there. The package will replace framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and MotGallery.apk and will delete the *.odex files, so this Mod works for odexed and deodexed systems JB 91.2.26001 en.EU.
What I did:
(framework-res.apk)
- changed icons for new lockscreen (AOSP style)
- removed the silent switch
- removed phone and messaging shortcut
- removed the SOS icon
- removed the dividers
- new lockscreen circle
- reworked the music lockscreen widget
- changed blue gradient background in many apps to solid black (since v1.4)
- changed LED blinking rate from 800/3200ms to 500/1500ms
- 2 versions to flash: Notification LED in green (standard) or blue, see attachments
(SystemUI.apk)
- removed the carrier label in status bar completely
- changed the GSM signal to standard Holo color (blue)
- reworked the standard battery icon to fit the blue of the clock, made it slightly smaller and nicer (especially the red battery icon)
- reworked signal cluster completely, no gap anymore between Wifi and GSM icon
Caution: in order to get the white camera icon working, I needed to change the standard camera icon of MotCamera.apk - so this apk will be exchanged too!
Caution: Since version 2.0 there is no need to change MotCamera.apk anymore, so I left it out of the CWM package. If you flashed the old LockscreenMod and want the stock camera (with a new fancy blue icon, see screenshot!) back, just flash JB-Camera.zip in CWM, too. This must only be done once! Clear cache and dalvik afterwards.
If you never flashed my Mod before, you don't need to flash Camera (but you may if you want).
Enjoy!
And please make a backup first, just for your convenience.
Update 1.1:
- found a nicer drag handle, added it in framework-res.apk
Update 1.2:
- changed notification LED blinking rate from 800ms/3200ms (ON/OFF) to 500ms/1500ms (unreceived calls, GMail...)
Update 1.3
- reworked signal cluster in SystemUI.apk with new standard Holo icons, no gap between Wifi and GSM icon anymore
- smaller drag handle in lockscreen, finally found the standard one
- 2 versions: Notification LED in blue or standard green (for unreceived calls, messaging, GMail, ...)
Update 1.4
- changed blue gradient background in many apps to solid black
Update 1.4.1
- Changed Lockscreen circle to a half circle
Update 2.0
- Completely rewritten unlock circle, just AOSP now, see screenshots!
- reworked music control, so that the circle fits in a whole
- since v2.0 you don't need to change MotCamera.apk anymore, read above!
Update 2.0t
- added a transparent music widget for v2.0-blue (date and carrier half transparent too)
Update 2.1
- lock circle stays in same position now, regardless if music widget is active or not
- removed carrier label, so that lock circle is in the lower third (you can see carrier if you slide down status bar)
- full date instead of abbreviated weekday (Germany only)
- from now on I will only maintain the "blue LED/transparent widget" version, as I use it myself
Update 2.1a
- same as 2.1, but with a menu button instead of the recent button, see here:

Nice one does what it says on the tin :thumbup:

It's only possible to change the color for ALL notifications. Standard color (Mail, SMS, unreceived call, GMail) is green. Yes, this could be changed, but only for all apps together.
If you need separate colors, use LightFlow from market.
[edit]
There you go, I updated the OP with 2 new zip's, enjoy!

New version 1.4.
This will be the last update for the next time as I am completely satisfied
BLACK background instead of the blueish gradient tint in most apps and settings, looks so much nicer now. Try it with black themed Messaging.apk, looks really wonderful.

Can I use your mod ? I want to add 1% battery icon to it, and remove white and blue circles on lockscreen.
BTW. Great mod, thanks.

Do you mean the unlock rings when you hover over an icon? What do you want to use instead? I'm curious...

Nothing I ldon't like how the blue circle looks at all, and the white gets truncated when sound widget is visible, so I've removed both them. It looks simpler, but I like it. I'll upload picture tommorow.

Although I didn't want to update, I took your inspiration to create a new (half) lockscreen circle with a small blue one, see screenshots in OP.
Just a minor update to 1.4.1

I like what you have done with the SystemUI. Well, at least I like the changelog I am going to try it, and see how it looks like.
Do you think you could also incorporate the following change:

Personally I prefer the smaller standard clock, but you may change it by yourself in /res/values/styles.xml in SystemUI.apk
Interesting though that I removed the "-6.0dip" margin at the Wifi icon and we can see now, that AOSP has it in, it overlaps the signal bar... sigh. Thought this was Motorola's fault.
Sure you can use everything in your mod if you like it!
(i.e. it costs $10 per changed code line )

Sorry to be a noob, but how do I edit SystemUI.apk? All my versions of apktool and aapt fail when trying to decompile it, and in 7zip I cannot find /res/values/

Try it with these files, these are mine:

You need correct JB framework though.

This is nice. Thank you for your effort!

Thanks again!

I updated the mod minutes after that, because the unlock button was slightly screen off. Look at your lock icon when unlocking, if it's capped, you have the wrong package, just download again.
Thanks for your kind words!

Definitely nice work dude, I like it. I'm currently uploading an AOSP Black Out Pack, of course all Credits are given to you.
What I would like to see is the Eclipse 1% Battery Icon (Request )

Regarding 1% Battery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWaLxFIVX1s
Maybe there's another one who likes to implement this, not me, sorry
[edit]
Your standard BlackOutPack is missing the MotCamera.apk - you used the old framework in that package, this should be together in that case, as the "old" lockring uses the icon of the MotCamera.apk.
Either add the cam, or use only the new AOSP package, there is no changed camera needed. Just FYI to minimize support requests

[Theme] willverduzco's PURE Blackbar for CM 6.1.1 *XML Color Import!* - Now with "4G"
[About]
My goal with this was to create a bar that is PURE BLACK, unlike the gradient bar in HTC Sense, while retaining much of Sense UI's style. As such, this MORPH is heavily based on the HTC Desire Notification Bar. To my eyes, the Sense UI gradient is simply too close to black to look intentional, yet not close enough to look good. It sort of reminds me of an LCD with a back-light leakage problem. Additionally, I created a new, more streamlined notification drawer pull-down image.
This theme has THREE versions: A version with white notifications (classic edition), a version with black notifications (zip file ending with _BN), and a "Faux G" version with black notifications (zip file ending with _BN-4G).
This MORPH is intended for CyanogenMod 6 and beyond. However, it should work with almost every other HDPI ROM, assuming that you have a way to change the status bar and notification text color to white.
[Screenshots - Click to Enlarge]
"Faux G" - Black Ongoing Notifications (_BN-4G version, which I currently use)
Black Ongoing Notifications (_BN version)
White Ongoing Notifications (classic)
[Installation Instructions]
1. Download and install the latest version of MetaMorph (by Stericson) from the Market.
2. Turn on USB Debugging under the Android Settings -> Applications -> Development Menu.
3. Open MetaMorph and select "Unzip/Extract New Theme."
4. Select the appropriate version of my theme, click "Apply All," and reboot when prompted.
5. Change your carrier, clock, date, and notifications colors. (See below for instructions.)
[Changing Text Color Automatically - BN and BN-4G only for now]
-CM6.1 and beyond: Unzip Notifications_XML-FOR_CM6.1.zip and put the CMTheme folder on the root of your SDCard. Import the colors through the following: Android Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Tweaks Extra -> Select A Theme
-CM6: Unzip Notifications_XML-FOR_BN.zip and put cmparts_ui.xml on the root of your SDCard. Import the colors through the following: Android Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Tweaks Extra -> Import Colors from XML
[Changing the Text Color Manually - All ROMs]
BLACK ongoing notifications bar version
1. Navigate to Android Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Status Bar Customization.
2. Change the following fields to white (#ffffffff): Battery Percentage, Clock, Carrier PLMN Label, Carrier SPN Label, Notifications Ticker, Notifications Count, Items Title Color, Items Text Color, and Items Time Color.
3. Change the following to black (#ff000000): No Notifications Title, Clear Notification Label, Ongoing Notifications Title, Latest Notifications Title.
WHITE ongoing notifications bar version
1. Navigate to Android Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Status Bar Customization.
2. Change the following fields to white (#ffffffff): Battery Percentage, Clock, Carrier PLMN Label, Carrier SPN Label, Notifications Ticker, Notifications Count, No Notifications Title, Ongoing Notifications Title, Latest Notifications Title.
3. Change the following to black (#ff000000): Clear Notification Label, Items Title Color, Items Text Color, and Items Time Color.
[Changelog]
Classic (White Notifications) Edition
-None
Black Notifications Edition
1.2 - Discovered when looking in low light that the PNG incorporated in v1.1 wasn't truly 100% black. I replaced the PNG with a new one with RGB values of 0,0,0.
1.1 - Incorporated Eddiemc's changes for dark Notification Panels.
[Known Issues]
Classic (White Notifications) Edition
-None
Black Notifications Edition
-A very small percentage of applications employ their own methods of coloring their ongoing notification text. This cannot be changed with something like Cyanogenmod settings. This is no longer a bit issue because CM6 RC3 and beyond include a version of MusicMod that uses the system-wide notification text color.
[Future]
Classic (White Notifications) Edition
-None. This seems complete unless someone wants different icons.
Black Notifications Edition
-Look for a way to force all notification text to be white, even for troublesome apps.
[Troubleshooting]
-Morph stuck at "Applying" indefinitely? Make sure USB Debugging is enabled.
-Morph only applied to part of the bar and looks bad? Make sure you have custom notification and pulldown bars disabled. (CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Notification Colors and disable Custom Notification and Pulldown bars.) Also, if you're on CM 6.1+, go to CyanogenMod Settings -> User Interface -> Tweaks Extras -> Select a Theme and pick Stock. Reboot then reapply the theme.
-The latest version of MetaMorph works again. If you have issues applying the theme, and you have already made sure USB debugging was enabled, try the version of MetaMorph that I have uploaded as an attachment.

Credit: Thank you very much XebozZ for creating a wonderful base from which I created this Morph, Eddiemc for helping make the first _BN version, and obviously Cyanogen for pumping out CM6 RC!
Applied and it works great! Thanks man!
This is awesome, 5 stars. Thanks man. Pure black >>>> Desire grey IMO, and is great for showing off the great black levels of the AMOLED. I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. I've tried myself and failed.
It would also be cool if the pulldown notifiations are also black/dark with white font, I guess with the standard colors inverted. I think it's tricky it needs to be configured on an app level (I think, but am not sure). Anyways, if there's a toggle between standard/inverse color, that would also kick much ass.
Can you make an enomther version please?

I'll gladly see what I can do, but unfortunately I'm actually unfamiliar with Enomther's ROMs. Could you please tell me if his ROM has a settings panel inside his ROM, in which you can enter the aRGB values for notification colors (or does his ROM let you import SpareParts XML files like CyanogenMod does)? If so, this MORPH should work with minimal or no changes. If it doesn't have that option, I'm going to have to find out a way to change the text colors first.

Nope, as easy as walking, on cm6
Swap "status_bar_item_background_normal.9.png" in framework res to one that's black instead of white, and change text to white in CM settings.
Works on all app notifications, I'm using it myself. Black's nicer than white!
-e
edit... throw the png file into the framework res folder of the original morph, or just use the modified version attached (hope the op doesn't mind..)
Then change item notifications color in cm settings to white (#ffffffff)

Appropriately, I have added your name in the _BN Morph, and in the original post.
I love it! I've always wanted to change that color. It works great thanks.
Can anyone verify the white text on black bars works on the Music app and Quick Settings? I've tried various morphs a few months ago and these apps leave black text in the Notifications panel no matter what, but that was before the Spare Parts method in Cyan 508-600RC.

First issue found... I've added it into the main post. Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, the spare parts method doesn't seem to change the music player text. A decent alternative would be to use the classic version with the black text and white ongoing notifications menu, as the text would appear as normal. I believe that these apps must be using some code on a per-app level that does this, as there simply isn't another field that I could see modified. This reason why they did this is likely because it has two slightly different colors (a black and a grey) in that notification.
Hopefully someone knows how to change the music player's text in the notification bar.
Here is a picture of the issue:
EDIT: Looks like it's true. It's probably part of the app itself.
In all honesty, though, this is a very minor issue, and if you don't know what song you're playing through the media player from your own music library, there may be another problem, haha. That said, I will see if anyone has come up with a real solution. I don't want to tell you to hold your phone a different way, haha. Oh wait, that's another company.
Awesome notification bar!
I'd like the gradient on the notification bar itself, with a gradient on the pull down notification. I somehow managed to mix this Metamorph, with another and got what I wanted (by mistake!).
If it's not too much trouble, could I get a .zip file (exactly like the you uploaded) but with a gradient (like the desired) notification bar?
looks good ima trying it out now what i been looking for

Notifications on black:
Yea, I just noticed this just now. As op states above, music app doesn't work properly.
I'm using spotify, so I never checked the music app... (btw spotify get white text as it should)
Quick Settings actually has an embedded option to change the text color (normal: white, inverted: black) so so that's no problem
All other apps I've seen works well (gets white text).
On cm6 we are all using the modded music app by Eliot Stocker, so I reckon he should be able to add an option to invert text (like quicksettings) if some of us asks him.

For the more hardcore ones, adb pull the music app, change the xml settings for notification color in Music.apk\res\layout\statusbar.xml (this is beyond me atm, but I might give it a stab) adb push the app back, and voila you'll have white text

I pass.
Here are the files if someone can pull this off. As far as I know, due to the way android works, the xml file needs to be hex edited.. I just cannot work out where the changes needs to be

Even though I don't use the music app, this issue really bugs me..
If we can get the xml file changed, it can even be included in the morph (or as a seperate morph) so nobody has to adb.
I just posted in eliots thread about the settings option, so perhaps that works out, if not I'll ask his permission to pm around a bit to find someone who can edit the xml.

Wow, good job. I don't use CM myself but I know a lot of people will appreciate this.
Just a quick status update to let everyone know that the issue will be fixed soon.
Eliot Stocker, who wrote the music app in CM6 just got back to me saying that he would add the feature into the next release. Thanks for the twitter link Eddiemc, and thank you again for all of your help!

[MORPH][THEME] Cleaner BlackBar: Enomther's, CyanogenMod 6, others. Data icons inside

All the "Desire bar" / BlackBar morphs and themes that I've looked at use the same icons for data connectivity, with text (G/E/3G/H) directly above the arrows. These icons have a "bug" - they look like they've been brought together from several places, and when you loop between them - you see the different arrows, fonts and location, which makes the experience very annoying when they flash on the screen.
I tried to use the stock icons on the Desire bar, but their background was visible on the bar, annoying to the eye.
So I took 15 min and removed that background (setting it transparent), leaving the arrows and text. The result is attached and can be used in themes/morphs/ROMs for black or dark notification bar.
I've modified the Desire notification bar morph by XebozZ to include those icons and stock battery icon, to be able to morph in 1 step. It works only for pre-themed ROMs (having pre-themed white notification bar text version) or latest Enomther, CM6 and others (allowing to change the notification bar text color). See 2nd post for morphs.
I've decided to share the morphed Black notification bar that I use for myself. Since I do it for myself, it'll naturally be made for the ROMs I use - which happen to be Enomther's.
Will work on Enomther's ROM starting 2.12.prealpha and up, CyanogenMod 6.0, or any other ROM that supports white text notifications.
Download and apply the attached morph, using stericson's Metamorph from the market.
Don't forget to change notification text colors in Spare Parts.
I didn't try other morph apps, you can do it, don't complain if it doesn't work, though.
My morph includes the following changes from the usual Desire Bar found everywhere else:
1) Modified stock data connectivity icons from the 1st post.
2) Stock battery indicator (the % are too large for DesireBar battery indicator, doesn't look good IMHO).
Thanks to Saphroxx for Desire Bar morph template, dumbestcrayon for the update.zip template of older versions, Enomther for ROM, stericson for Metamorph, and the rest of thanks to the people behind Andoid, both community and corporate.
For those that like Desire/Sense battery icons, Sapproxx made a version that includes them instead of stock battery icons:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7983261&postcount=20
Will this work with Enom's stock ROM or should I flash the Prethemed White text file he has on his thread before I flash this?
Edit: Nevermind. I re-read a part of your 2nd post and I see you included his services.jar.
Thanks, man! I really appreciate this!
Updated for 2.11.3.

Perfect, man.
Thanks again for this. It's my favorite notification bar so far.
Have you thought about doing one of these in pure black? I know there's somebody out there who has a pure black one, but I didn't like his battery icons and everything. The icons and the way this is put together is exactly what I like, and maybe a pure black one without the glossy highlights would be cool too. Just sayin'...
Also, have you noticed that the battery percentage is slightly to the left in the battery icon? Is that something that is fixable or is it just the way Enom's ROM displays the battery percentage?
Thanks again for your work.
I can do the pure black, it's only a matter of changing a single PNG file - but personally I don't like the pure black, the area "melts" with black background and the bar isn't distinguishable.
The battery percentage is a bit tricky. The icon is shifted right - because of the "nose" of the battery, which has to protrude left, but the battery also has to remain within icon boundaries and be balanced between them. So to make the text in the middle of the battery, it has to be shifted right several pixels. The text appears exactly in the middle of the icon space - but since the battery is shifted right because of the "nose", the text seems a bit left.
i take it this doesn't work with leo's 2.0?
Using a morph - it works with ANY deodexed ROM.

That's cool. I just figured I would suggest it. Thanks for the bar you've already done, which is pretty much all I've used since I switched to Enom's ROM.

Bumping for an update to 2.12 pre-alpha!
Since I've realized that Enomther's ROM has the text color set in Spare Parts now, I've updated the 2nd post to suggest using morph method for Enomther's 2.12.prealpha and up.

Works like a charm. Highly recommended.
The same instructions that MicroMod777 gives for his themes work for this one too.
"To properly set white text colors go to "Spare Parts", "Status Bar Options", "Status Bar Colors", "Set All Colors", use code "ffffffff". Then go back to "Notification Items", and set them ALL black to: "ff000000". Then Reboot."
The only other thing to get this looking exactly like the 2.11.3 zip version is to go into Status Bar Options -> Status Bar Colors -> Notifications in Pull-Down and make sure Clean Notifications Button is also set to ff000000. This is supposed to say "Clear Notifications Button" but he mistyped it.
thx for continuing my work and the reference. Note that my nickname contains an "h" though as in Saphroxx.
Only thing I noticed is that the stock battery icon is there now instead of the desire battery indicator.
Good job on fixing the differences in arrows mate

Fixed 10chars
For the people who prefer the Desire/Sense battery icons, like I do, I created this alternative Desirebar-Black-Pulldown-SenseBatteryIcons.
To be applied with Metamorph.

[THEME/MOD][AROMA][ICS] Style your ROM your way v2.2

ROM developers already spend enough time to provide a quality product, but not all of us are always 100% happy with the way the ROM looks. Theme developers will make different themes for a particular ROM, but even still not everyone wants every change introduced in the theme. It can be cumbersome for developers and themers alike to thoroughly please each of its followers. That's where I'd like to change the game with the GSIII - rather than having to rely on a themer to make something that looks close to what you'd like, you'll be put in the driver seat and choose your own modifications.
What options are you presented with?
- Battery style
- Clock position and color (stock grey or ics blue)
- Brightness slider (won't work on stock ROMs)
- Placement of the date/clear button bar
- Transparency % of the notification area
- Lidroid toggle style (keep your current or use my slimmed ICS blue ones)
- Number of lidroid toggles shown w/o scrolling
- Text labels or not below those toggles
However, these changes can't be made possible without a little side effect. In this first version, the style of the clock, date, clear button, and toggles use the ICS blue color. In future versions of the theme system, additional styles will be provided!

Well done! Options are always nice to have! Minor, slightly OCD request. Would it be possible to have the percentage in the honeycomb or circle battery icon be blue to match everything else? Thank you!

Came from MIUI on a Droid X. Had something like this. Could get rid of the battery icon altogether and just show a line across the top (could even pick the color). Does the download currently allow for this?

Correct. Flash it from whichever recovery you use - should work fine on CW or TWRP.
Everyone, once you've tried the thing out and played with it to create maybe 1 or 2 styles, feel free to provide some suggestions of what you'd like for version 2. Unless you guys have some objections, the next thing I'll be working on is a JB styled notification area. Did anybody actually like the TouchWiz style? I found it to be ugly, but if enough people wanted it I'll provide that as another available theme to use in v2.

I second this with the option of having an animated image.
This is pretty awesome. Only thing I would change is the white background on the installer. It is super bright.....
I would like to see icon packs
Inverted app installer
Anything and every thing you can add that would help NOOBs.
This IMHO is a monster leap for the avg/inexperienced Android modder

I may be interpreting your first post wrong but you plan to allow for color picks or just different theme choices in the future?
And how about lockscreen options?
30% transparent on the statusbar might be the sweet spot for me. Any chance of adding increments of 10, rather than 20?

[THEME] Touchwiz...ish Theme for LG G3 v1.3.3

Hello everyone!
I'd like to present the first "real theme" for LG G3
The story behind is that I just hate LG's UI, it's so childish and cartoonish and just awfull so I wanted to change that, I want a different theme, a better one.
First I wanted a stock theme but for that everyone can flash a stock aosp rom and for G3 roms there are plenty of aosp theme and then it hit me...Samsung...Touchwiz...more precisely Galaxy S7's Touchwiz so I started working on that and trust me, LG's own framework is a pain in the a*s. It was so difficult and hard to get that but finally I did it.
So now I present you my theme, Touchwiz...ish Theme for LG G3 (based on Fulmics 4.2)

You know, I installed Fulmics just to use your theme. I always liked the colours used by Touchwiz.
I love it. Great work again! You're really good at this!
Hi, best theme i have ever used, really good work!
i found glitch at the search in the app drawer, just like the one in the contact app and also the color at lg's internet browser wont change to the one in the notification panel.

can I use it even with xposed flat style bars? or it will bump and causes fc?

[Theme] Vivid Themes Thread (previously Vivid Green)

Hi all,
I have a few themes in this thread with a few features shared. These include:
- Google Feed added to Home- Translucent volume bar (except for Full Black variants)- Circle and Square icons available in Icon Shapes- WiFi Icon changed (except for Vivid Google Feed)- Matching Icon Badges in Home Screen (except for Vivid Google Feed).
To summarize the themes available:
- Vivid Green: Applies the Velvet Green accent (both night and dark)- Vivid Teal: Applies a dark teal accent- Vivid Google Feed: Doesn't change the accent (so stays Blue for most users) but adds the features from the other themes.- Full Black varients: For both Vivid Green and Vivid Teal, there is a Full Black variant which sets OLED Black in a number of UI elements as well as YouTube.
Vivid Teal is my personal favorite (although Vivid Green looks great with Dark mode). In addition, for those NOT using the official Velvet UI update (but have installed the Accent Color change apk's), using the Vivid Green theme allows the perfect use of the Accent Colors menu since Green becomes the default accent.
NOTE: Since these themes are not uploaded to the Play Store, you will need to install using a File Manager (or app other than the default Downloads app). Thank Google for that . Also, if switching between a theme and it's Full Black variant, make sure to uninstall first or it may not work as intended.
Let me know if anyone has any issues and enjoy!
audietron25
Edit: Added "Vivid Green (Full Black)". Pay attention to install instructions as it won't work if "Vivid Green" themes are "updated" between variations.Edit 2: Changed Youtube background to full black (when using the Full Black variant)Edit 3: Inadvertently activated Velvet switcher on some devices (which is buggy). FixedEdit 4: Changed Wi-Fi iconsEdit 5: Changed Vivid Google Feed to not change volume bar (use Vivid Volume Bar if desired) and also changed notification dots to match the regular blue accentEdit 6: Removed pop-up modification (applied to old volume bar) from Vivid Google Feed. If desired, install the regular version of Vivid Volume BarEdit 7: Added V2 variants. Provides the option for both Google Feed and Smart Bulletin in Home Settings. Have also included a V2 variant to disable Suggested Apps (bottom row of apps in the recents screen) for devices which don't have the option.
Thank you
After a suggestion on a new color, I've created another theme to add a darkish-teal accent. Features are the same as above (where applicable). Don't install both of the "Vivid Teal" themes at the same time but can be installed alongside the "Vivid Green" themes.
Edit: Mixed up some files, fixed the black notifications (on "Vivid Teal" only).Edit 2: Added the accent to the same apps as Vivid Green (Gallery, Music, QMemo and File Manager)Edit 3: Added a fully black background on Youtube (when using Full Black varient)Edit 4: Inadvertently activated Velvet switcher on some devices (which is buggy). FixedEdit 5: Changed Wi-Fi icons to a more ASOP style.

Wow, thanks again. I really liked the first one. Will try this out too. Thanks again.
I've updated the non-black versions of my themes (Vivid Google Feed, Vivid Green and Vivid Teal) to add a transparency effect to the volume bar. See the screenshots below.
Edit: Converted this to a standalone version (apply from Icon section of theme settings). I've also included a version which disables the "Adjust by App" option and makes the volume bar much shorter.
Edit 2: For Velvet UI users, I've also created a similar theme called "Vivid Volume Bar (Velvet UI Only)". This makes the volume bar background transparent, removes the gradient color and to change color depending on night mode. For non-Velvet UI users, this will have no effect and you should use the other theme.
Edit 3: "Vivid Volume Bar (Velvet UI Only)" updated to v2, uninstall old version first. Day mode colors adjusted to be more consistent depending on the background. Also added the night mode popup windows feature initially provided on "Vivid Monet Green" (available on the Play Store). In addition, there is now a navbar hide version if desired. Non-Velvet UI version is not being updated because I cannot test it anymore (my phone has the Velvet UI update and cannot be reverted) but let me know if anyone wants to try it.
Edit 4: "Vivid Volume Bar v3 (Velvet UI Only)" updated to v3. Changed the night mode icons to be white instead of dark grey which improves visibility. Was used in Vivid Monet Green for a while so finally adding into this add-on.
That's nice. I'll be able to keep an eye on game on-screen while adjusting volume now. Thanks for the improvement

Remove the old one and install corresponding new one. Once you press the volume key after applying new ones you can see the transparency in effect.
Vivid teal its great. Thanks.
Will you bring new colors? Dark + Orange could be great!
Bit of a small update on both Vivid Green and Vivid Teal themes:
- Changed Wi-Fi logos on both status bar and QS tile. Took a bit of work so not sure how many others I'll be changing. Let me know if there's any ideas on styles.
- Added colored app notification badges.
- Fixed the backgrounds of the icon selection in settings.
Since I've had a few recommendations on Orange themes, I'll make that my next one. In the meantime, there is the Orange accent from the updated Velvet settings apk which I think was posted on Reddit.

It's nice of you to further improve the ones you already posted. Using your green theme from the day you posted. Thank you for your time and effort.
Just applied the new ones. To me these look lot better than the old ones. Cheers
"Vivid Black Notifs" adds some of the features from my full black theme variants and is designed to be used alongside any theme. Apply from the "Icon" tab in the theming menu. There are two zip files and an app included:
- Vivid Black Notifs (No Navbar): Adds full black (or black with notification dividers) notifications and hides the light white pill on AOD.
- Vivid Black Notifs (Navbar): Same as above but also hides the navigation bar.
- Vivid Black Notifs (Navbar Only): The "Nav Hider Only" version will just hide the navbar (useful for full gesture navigation) while "Nav Shrink Only" will revert the navigation bar handle to the pre-Velvet UI update size. Won't do anything otherwise.
These are variations of the same app so make sure to uninstall it before installing another or it may not apply properly.
On a sidenote, I've also been working on an Android Studio template for UX9 themes. It's still pretty daunting for beginners but should help heaps in getting started. I'm still finetuning it but would that be something you'd be interested in? Let me know
Edit 1: I've updated the themes to also adjust YouTube's background to be OLED black (same as the Full Black varients of Vivid Green and Teal). Also added in a preview picture. These are the V3 versions.
Edit 2: The updated V4 versions now have the popup window color follow night mode. This feature was first added into my theme "Vivid Monet Green".

Been a while but here's some other theme stuff I've been working on. I've already shared this on other platforms but posting here as well.
Firstly, for anyone not on the Velvet UI update, I've ported the accents to standalone "Icon" packs. They act the same as themes but can be used alongside them so that you can use with any theme you like (like the Green accent). Apply using the "Icon" tab in the theming options, revert by re-applying any regular theme. In this zip is the colors in the accent menu available in the updated Settings (Green, Violet, Orange and Pink). You can install the Velvet Settings app to gain access to this accent menu but this is an alternative.
Similar to above, I've also ported my Full Black themes to standalone "Icon" packs (like the accents). There are two zip files and an app included:
- Vivid Black Notifs (With AOD): Adds full black (or black with notification dividers) notifications and hides the light white pill on AOD.
- Vivid Black Notifs (With AOD & Nav) V2: Same as above but also hides the navigation bar.
- Vivid Black Notifs (Hide Navbar Only): Only hides the Navbar (no change in notification color).
These are variations of the same app so make sure to uninstall it before installing another or it may not apply properly.

I really like the 'Hide navbar only' option. Very cool, thanks
I'm on LG G8 Android 10 update with the new volume bar, is it just me or the Vivid Black Notifs (with the hide navbar option) if I use full gesture, there will be invisible navbar that blocks some of the button at the bottom of the screen
