Optimus 2x roms running on optimus 3d?

I don´t know if this thread was released but:

Is it possible to install Optimus 2x (P990) ROM's on Optimus 3d (P920)?
they seem to be similar but i know they are not.
1st: before saying "no", have you tried it or you know any one that did?
2nd: What would happen if i run the ICS version for the optimus 2x on my optimus 3d?

No. The drivers are different. You'd have to port it.
If you install it, depending on if it's a .kdz or a .zip file, you'll brick your phone.

IF THE SU760 Korean O3D ROM BRICKS P920 INT Version THEN THE 2x WITH DIFF Hardware + SOFT its ROM would def KILL the O3D PLUS THE IS no ICS for the P990

so i defenetly dont want to try it x) i was seconds away of doing it hahah thks. and how hard is it to change the hardware and soft from de p990 rom so that it would work on our o3d?

Well considering almost everything is different, I'd just stick to porting ROM from a similar device.

Optimus 2X roms are just as different as any other phone's rom ( Galaxy Nexus roms are similiar because of the same chipset but you'll have to port them too)

even trying to port any rom from a device that has a different chipset,don't forget about the updater-script,or you'll just kill your phone.

[Q] Baseband Problem India P920

Hi,
Can someboby help me? No matter what custom rom I flash, I get no network signal. I am from Delhi, India & I am using LG optimus 3D(P920).
I installed Lewa OS Rom, CM Nightly, King 3D. Everything else is fine, but I dont any any signal at all. In my Baseband Version section it says unknown Baseband. After this I tried installing Defy Broadband Switcher, But when i run the tool, It is closing down automatically, saying unexpected error has closed the application. Can someone explain why this is happening? What can I do to make custom rom get signal??

Are you on 21e baseband? If you aren't follow this guide http://p92x.acidhazardrom.com/guides/lg_flash_tool.html.
You will have to root and install cwm again

Hi,
Can you please let me know the baseband version from settings==> about phone==>baseband version
and the Software version.
best thing is to flash the 21E baseband, root and then install custom roms based on the 21E baseband versions. also, the kernels version needs to be matching with the kernel version in the settings ==> about phone ==> Kernel version.
the kernel version may be with + at the end or without the + at the end.
lets see what went wrong!

Right Now, I am on Android version 2.2.2, Baseband Version is "L6260_Modem_SIC_01.1042.00"
Kernel Version is "2.6.35.7", Build Number is: "FRG83G".Software Version: LGP920-V10d-OCT-11-2011
I dont know how to flash the 21E Baseband, Can you provide me with a link to the guide, but the question is , is it going to work on software version v10d ? So, please help me on this.

lzzar has given you the link http://p92x.acidhazardrom.com/guides/lg_flash_tool.html.
just follow the steps without deviation. your present baseband is V10d. you can flash 21E without worries.
download the V21E from the link. this is the best baseband. after you flash this baseband, you will have to root your phone, and then install clockwork mod recovery. Once this is done, you can flash any 21e based roms. your kernel does not have + in the end. after you falsh the baseband, check the kernel version again. all the roms have built in kernels. in case you want to try other kernels, try kernels without the + in the end and you will be fine.

The only strange thing that is happening is with Lewa Rom, I cant seem to open Google play store & cant snchronize. With CyanogenMod 7.2+ v1.7.0 P920 Rom, my phone is getting rebotting a lot. But do you recommend a stable rom that dont have these problems.

With any CM based ROMS you will have to flash GAPPS (GoogleApps, you can search the forums for "gapps") separately.
also, CM based ROMS will not have proper 3D (you can take pics, but cannot view) and HDMI. without 3D, there is no point in having the O3D!
you can try ThiaZ, Promethius, Acura3D and other roms based on 21E and various Kernels, overclocked and non overclocked, retaining the 3D and HDMI features.

Thanks.. Just got rooted my phone and stuck at the moment finding a ROM. or is it okay to use any of those ROM like on ThiaZ, etc? Thanks!

you are on 20B baseband. please flash the 21E baseband and then root. after rooting check for ROMs based on 21E.
every thing will be fine if you follow the instructions properly.

do you know if v21e works in Canada?
I had troubles with v21e kdz, loosing signal.
Went back to V20c

SU760 Optimus 3D

hi guys,
I'm From Bangladesh.
My Korean LG Su760 is with me for a long time(10 months), Nice and Good build quality. When i got this it was on 2.2.2, then i upgrade to 2.3.5 by LGmobile support tool. Now it can upgrade to official ICS.
Problems:
i dont know korean language, so i cant use so many korean apps on it. can anyone know how to uninstall them??
Also my internet speed is too slow (10kb/s) by gprs/edge. But network provider provides 30-40 kb/s.
WHY this Korean SKT mobile is too slow data speed on gprs? is there any solution??
instead of them the mobile is ok.

Last Night I updated my OS 2.3.5 to ICS 4.0.4. The ICS on SU760 is really amazing, I mean no other os can beat it..
The Mobile is now on Speed Monster with so many things. i recommend the ICS for LG SU760.

If your phone is rooted . You can easily uninstall them by many app in the play store .
OR
You can delete it manually from :-
System/app with any root browser (delete the *.apk and *.odex file) .

Do some search in the P920 ICS THREADS and you will find a lot of usefull tips and applications that you can use on it because we re using SU760 ICS in our devices too.
Everything that works on our P920's with ICS will work also for you.
ROM's (they will need to be a small modification for you to flash them), Recoveries,Root etc...

[Q] FW on PACman Rom v20 BUT WITH NO SERVICE, HELP!

I am new to the forum so please be kind, getting straight to the point.
I recently flashed my Optimus 3D P920 to PACman Rom and everything when fine, only problem I have come across is that the I get No Service and Google Search not working properly.
After my extensive reading and researching of possible problems and solutions, I have come to realise that my basedband was V10 and that it was a requirement to be on baseband v21 whilst it was on stock Gingerbread software.
Obviously I have already done the flash, so my question is, is there in anyway of fixing this problem? Either via some form of flash, or preferably flash back to the stock gingerbread software.
I really require this communities help.
If any more information is required please do ask.

restore your CWM or TWRP backupp you shold have taken atleast one backup on GB att some point and when you are on Stock GB do an normal LG update whit the lg update tool and after that should you be on V21E if you are Swedish. you will be on a V21 Base any way
and if you don't have a GB backupp then do you need to Do an unbrick guide to Restore to GB 2.3.5

That is the hardest way ...
Just install a simple GB custom ROM from the development section ,, for example "Prometheus Project" it's the same as stock but with some improvements .

A Simple Cm10 Rom With LGHome3 and Theme and Some LG Apps And ArcCamera And No 3D
You can take 3D picure and Videos with Arcamera but cant View Them it well Be Side by Side
and Please Dont POST IN Optimus 3D Android Development
There is Optimus 3D General and Q&A you Cant Post anything You Want Development Is Only For Developing stuff etc...

But Here You Can Find Roms cm9 cm10 cm10.1 etc...... For SU760
