I have started a new project to provide miui to those XPERIA devices which are not supported by miui team.
This ROM will be as light as possible(Perfect miui)
CX-MIUI Project
The currently supported devices are:
Xperia J
Xperia Acro S
Xperia Ion

Currently i am providing ported 3.3.29 beta test builds from Xperia Arc S.
Need some feedbacks about bugs and the performance of the rom so that i can fix in upcoming versions !
Also I need a tester who can test ROM before release PM me if anyone can
How to Install:
-First of all you need a unlocked bootloader as miui is based on cyannogenmod
-If you have CWM then :
*Wipe data
*Wipe cache
*Go to advanced - Wipe Dalvik cache
*Mounts and Storage - Format system
*Flash the Rom.zip
-If you don't have CWM then:
# Open rom.zip flash the boot.img in it using fastboot
#Reboot phone and violet light will blink for 3" in that you should press vol up(+) and you will enter CWM mode
Then follow the above ' * ' part for installing zip

+1. I am also looking for a very brief review about this ROM. I am using the official MIUI v5 for S3 now, and looking for this ROM for my sister's phone. Is it stable enough for daily usage?

i'm on CM10 fxp215 xperia J and trying to install this but it can't
Bumping this to say, Any 1 with script errors, Replace your updater-script and update-binary from META-INF\google\android (or something like that) with the one from latest FXP CM10 Release, It works but how well i can not say.

but has lot of bugs
you have to use updater script from latest CM10 and replace it in this MIUI zip to work (else it wil show ststus 7 error)
Bugs:
>phone,contacts,music player and even home launcher FCs
>reboots when awaken from lock
>random lags (may be coz of kernel)
Overall > cant use it now! has lot of bugs!
We have to wait for the dev to update and fix the bugs :good:

I had 90% working MIUIv4/5 but I gave up with that project and deleted everything I done for jlo ^^

Not sure why you was thanked for this comment but ok , Any 1 here wanna fix it my friend really wants MIUI and im just a contributor not developer
Have you copied every additional libs from MIUI's system/lib to your PORT? If you didn't, do it and then check if you have still all FCs.
If Phone crashes and you have reboots you should start again from scratch and very carefully do the diffing and smails replacement. Probably you used wrong base or did sth wrongly or forgot about part of porting. Have you patched RIL? Phone Factory? You should also try to take MIUI for SGS as base for porting.
Taking updater script from FXP isn't enough, you have to add some lines to it to make MIUI working well.
I can start porting MIUI4/5 for jlo again but I need a rom tester for this device.
ah and one thing, it's hard to fix MIUI Home FC, you should download the newest MI Home from Google Play Store and put it into your port. It should help a lot, it helped me.

I'm both happy and sad to create this thread. Happy because we have finally got JoyOS on our SGR but sad because a great developer & a very good friend Grarak will not be developing for us anymore. I wish him luck for his future development on his new phone, Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

He would keep working on his releases even if he would be at work. He always gave us fast updates and bugfixes. Instructions:-
Please make sure you have taken CWM Backup/Nandroid Backup before proceeding...
1.Put the downloaded JoyOSv0.1-1.zip file in your SD card.
2.Boot into CWM and perform a data wipe/factory reset.
3.Wipe Cache.
4.Wipe Dalvik Cache.
5.Go to "Mounts and Storage" and peroform a "format /system".
6.Now flash JoyOSv0.1-1.zip from "Install from SD card".
7.Flash CM7 Gapps. You can download them here.
8.Again perform a data wipe/factory reset.
9.Reboot and Enjoy!

Its a special ROM like MIUI and CM7. Its based on AOSP resources. JoyOS and MIUI are almost the same. They both give iOS style experience to its user.

No buddy, its based on CM 7 so we need to wait for new CM 7 ROM update or fix for this....

Camera won't work on CM and CM based other roms, epsy have said that he will try building CM9/10 as its easy to fix this problem in 4.0+ builds.
As now we will soon be having official ICS and sources will be published soon so I think he will probably move to latest builds. And transfer CM7 for later.

For ICS CM team has developed common libraries file and drivers, so it will be easy to build it in ICS....

you said that theres no custom kernel..which means we will be on stock kernel that dont have a patch of deepsleep or init.d script for undervolting..how can you say that battery standby is good?..
battery gets charged quickly..how you can you do that?
to quickcharge a phone..put it on an flight mode..

The bug is in the settings app.. and more features will be in updates like fixing settings, new framework as key lime pie is going to be released on october!!

when ever you install a custom ROM you must wipe both the data and cache

hey use DDLK stock rom bcoz i am from India...
I've flashed many many Roms,(color rom, MIUI. etc) the latest being the JMP Chili Rom and my camera does not work in all of them. It says, cannot connect to camera. I've already flashed the Binass kernel, but maybe I flashed it wrong? Is there something I need to do? Please help me out, thank you so much in advance.

Do you have to wipe cache/dalvik or anything else after flashing this kernel? I have flashed it too, but only the front camera is working.
when do you flash it? right after flashing ROM? Can I do it now that my phone is up and running? or do I have to reflash the rom too?

2.clear dalvik cache
3.Flash this kernel.
4.reboot in recovery.
5. flash your rom
6. clear dalvik cache
7. flash kernel
8.reboot.
it work for me.
i am on suvi 16. and all stuff work properly besides screen problem
why don't you try this rom to check camera is working or not. i love to use this rom.

Camera not working in 4.2 roms - solution
Hi,
Now, are you on a micromax A110 that came with jellybean by default when you bought it (referred to as jb out of the box). If so
1. the new unified bindassboost 4.2 kernel by bindass dost supports camera in jb out of the box devices. flash that while flashing the rom and it should be okay. here is the link to the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2683095
These are the steps I usually use when flashing,
1. wipe data, wipe dalvik cache (in advanced options)
2. go to mounts and storage and format system
3. install the rom zip
4. install any patches, if provided (although I usually boot the first time, see if the patch is necessary and then if so, install)
5. install bindassboost 4.2 kernel
6. reboot:highfive:
Note: the above instructions are for 4.2 roms only. For 4.1 you can skip step 5.

6. All miui roms (I'd advise you to avoid them, because on jb out of the box (I'm not sure about others) they lag like hell and you cant transfer apps to the sd card (4.2 roms. In 4.1 mi there was no camera focus)
7. there are 2 xperia based ones. Both have bugs. in one camera doesn't focus. the other gives a lot of fc's
Personally, i prefer 4.1 roms though. It seems 4.2 lags a bit on jb out of the box:crying: as far as I've tried.

Well, you can pretty much flash any 4.2 Rom as long as you follow my steps and flash the BINDASSBOOST latest version kernel found in the original android development section:victory:
These are just the Roms I've tried out and liked a bit
No you don't have to flash a 4.1 Rom. I was just saying that as far as I had observed ( I own a JB out of the box device), 4.2 Roms seemed to lag a lot. That's why I said I preferred 4.1 Roms. It was just my opinion. You DON'T NEED to flash a 4.1 Rom
If you are stuck at deleting cache during the ROM'S INSTALLATION (after you've pressed install zip), then
1. you may not actually be stuck. In some Roms, the blue bar indicating progress does'nt move uch during installation. So you may think it got stuck.
2. Try changing your recovery. I suggest clockworkmod v 6.0.28. I once used TWRP recovery and it didnot flash any Rom on the first try and kept getting a message saying I had Root problems. Might be something with the recovery
3. The ROM file may be corrupt. Try downloading again. But mostly I think it's first one.
If you're stuck at deleting cache while using the wipe cache option from the recovery, then there is something wrong with your recovery. flash a new one.

TRWP , lastest.
In Aroma , I choose everything., bla bla bla... and flash . But it is very fast , when I reboot . Nothing there , Empty

Gotcha...
Can you please re-enter into recovery, Wipe everything except sd-card. Then skip wipping option on Aroma and chose option you want,It should let you install.

Yeah, you just have to check the inspire4g during install.

only 1 thing....we cant say it is as a bug...it is just a minor problem i.e statusbar becomes white... sometimes... but dont worry i will also give a patch to revert SystemUI..

I m sorry for asking this stupid thing....but shud i flash this rom like i would to a patch or i am supposed to do the whole. Dalvik cache wipe n all process for this

When i installed this update an another camera app appeared in my app drawer...
Bt whenever i tried to start the app it force closes...
Is it buggy or only i m facing this issue...
Not a big problem as previous camera app is working perfectly fine...

The.only.problem with both roms z2 n 3 updates faced is....phone goes slow. Or malfunctions many times when dolby. Is on and xloud doesnt give quite the loud noise....please put up the viper4droid enhamcement instead of.this one...it honestly Sucks. When. The. Songs lag in between specially for a band artist...rest of it ..is absolutely awesome... I changed from many roms...found this one d best except for the small music glitch...n plz tell me how to learn all tthe porting. Rom n all of the.bug fixing stuff...i want to learn to make something gr8 like u people do

Link is working buddy, I will suggest one application for pc if you use that you can download without any intteruption, the application name is IDM, please google it, download it and install it.

Yes please create another patch for this updates, One more bugs too, in Z3 there is a option to clear all the frequently opened apps, but in this updates that option is not available, And want to know one more thing, while restarting mobile its showing pure xperia z2, how come I will change to Z3? Please suggest
